Update Center for Linux OS

Is there a download URL for Linux OS?
I have Creator 2_1 loaded on a Linux blade and was unable to get to the update center. After reviewing the server log I noticed the URL included ..../en/catalog_Linux_i386.xml?unique....
When accessed via a Windows version of Creator 2_1, the update center was successfully accessed and I was able to download BluePrint AJAX components. The URL for the Windows version is .../en/catalog_Windows_x86.xml?unique...
After doing a lookup on Google there doesn't apear to be an update site for Linux (only Sun and Windows) Is this correct? Any workarounds?

I have ubuntu linux amd64 and the url that appears in advanced options, the one that the program uses to update is this: htttp://www.netbeans.org/updates/creator/2_1/en/catalog_{$platform_code}.xml?{$netbeans.hash.code}
but this url doesn't exist and I can't update. I wonder if there's another url I can update from.

  • How can I Updating firefox for linux in package manager ?

    Thank for reading my question.
I am a beginner off Linux. The computer sends almost all the time messages you have to update, it's to old. I have Linux from a package manager, but it is looks like everything is updated, must I change it? Firefox is sloooooow.
And gmail ask me to update. Updated manually Firefox have I done but never starts.
Is it a computer virus or something else?
    What should I do?

It is possible that your Linux distribution is no longer updating Firefox.
In that case you can consider the download and install the full version of the current Firefox release.
You can find the full version of the current Firefox 33.0.1 release in all languages and for all Operating Systems here:
Make sure that you meet the System Requirements (GTK+ and GLib) for the current Firefox version.

  • Bios Update Utility for Linux?

    Hi Community,
I want to know if there is a way to update a BIos in a Lenovo 3000 N200 using Linux as an operating system.
    Thanks.
    Hope to hear from you.

I have started the exe utility from a DOS window by manually typing in the name, I have started it from the RUN dialog box, and I have started it by double-clicking it from the Windows Explorer. In all cases it starts up the Windows application portion just fine. I get all the initial warning messages and confirmation messages. But as soon as I get to the "do it now button" (click Next to update your BIOS), it just immediately shuts down and restarts my computer without doing the flash update.

  • Skype for linux is still at 4.x after a few years

after a long itme skype for linux is still at version 4.3 while other versions of skype are at 7.x or 5.x. this is quite an issue as skype for linux hasn't has group video calling or screensharing added yet and is quite annoying to use. in this topic i will point out many of the issues in skype for linux so that the developers know what to fix in upcoming releases. 1. the skype for linux ui simply sucks. i need to install 32bit versions of the gtk engine murrine and a 32bit libcanberra just to get skype to theme to my gtk theme. an another poit on this is that the UI is in componets that open in different windows like the chat window. 2: skype for linux does not support group screensharing or group video calling. this is especially annoying when you are in a skype call for a live stream and you need to see a screenshare to get the most up to date view of the streamers screen. 3. THERE IS NO !@#$ING 64BIT VERSION!!!!!!!!!! this is really annoing because now i have to isntall 32bit BLOAT on my system just to run skype. b******* 4. skype for linux is almost never developed. the ammount of updates or any work on sype for linux are less then neglegable. and thus the things mentioned above aer a result of the neglegence that skype for linux seems to be recieving. 5. pulseaudio (also known as canceraudio) is a pain the !@#. please re-add alsa support. alsa is good on most systems but pulse audio just !@#$s up some systems there are a lot of thing that could probably be said here but please some modderator or admin or developer. this topic needs an answer as to why skype for linux is so !@#$y.

Unfortunately, Skype for Linux is abandonware. Microsoft have no intention of any further updates to it whatsoever. They do not even respond to requests for assistance on these forums. They only seem to take any action in this forum if someone swears or breaks the rules. In this thread (from a Q&A with the Android development team), I asked if it would be possible to use the Android version to update Skype for Linux. The moderator replied that Microsoft had no news at all on an update. I strongly suspect the reason for this is that they are not working on Skype for Linux any more. As a result, there is no news because they are not making an update. If they were making one, they could have said something along the lines of, "An update will be released but we are unable to provide a timescale..." The total lack of news implies there is almost certainly no one working on Skype for Linux at all. I do invite one of the mods or Skype staff to correct me if I am wrong on this. My suspicion is that Microsoft are at some stage going to officially announce that Skype for Linux is no longer supported and suggest Skype for Web instead.

We have a situation where SCEP definition needs to be updated on Linux machines which don't have access to internet.
All I have read is that SCEP functions as stand alone for Linux & Mac machines. Can someone guide thru how do SCEP definitions get updated on Linux machines that are not connected to internet.

  • LabVIEW 8.0.1 Update for Linux

    Hello,
I just downloaded the update for LabVIEW for Linux an tried to install like it is described.
    The following output occurs:
    Installing...

/bin/sh: /soft/natinst/lv801-update/bin/INSTALL.norpm: No such file or directory
    LabVIEW package installation complete.
    Launching LabVIEW Mass Compile utility.
When I start LabVIEW after the obviously successfull Mass Compile I still see LabVIEW Version 8 (in contrast to Windows where I get 8.0.1).
Is it possible that the file bin/INSTALL.norpm is missing in the tar archive or that something else is broken? I am running Debian GNU/Linux Sarge.
    Thanks in advance,

  • Updated Instant Client 11.2 for Linux 64 bit is on OTN

The 11.2 Instant Client for Linux 64bit has been updated on http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/tech/oci/instantclient/htdocs/linuxx86_64soft.html
It is now at the same patch level as 32 bit.

I just tried to download these as RPMs. I was able to download the basic rpm but the sqlplus rpm and supplemental jdbc rpms failed. Instead of getting a prompt to save the file, content was displayed by the browser (binary content). It appears as is the mime type was not set correctly?

  • SCEP 2012 System Center Monitoring Pack for Linux v4.5.10.1 Problem

    Hi Everyone!
We are having a problem with OpsMgr 2012 R2 and the System Center Monitoring Pack for SCEP 2012 for Linux v4.5.10.1.  We have successfully deployed the Linux OpsMgr 2012 R2 agent to our test CentOS 6.5 VM as well as SCEP 2012 v4.5.10.1.  We have
imported the System Center Monitoring Pack for SCEP 2012 for Linux management packs into OpsMgr 2012 R2 which is successfully discovering SCEP on our Linux VM, but when looking at the details for the monitor, it indicates that SCEP is "not found"
as seen in the following screen shot...
As seen in the following screen shots, everything else seems to be installed, configured, and working properly...
Any assistance or guidance would be greatly appreciated!
    Regards,
    JJ

Magnus_001 (big ups) and I were able to get discovery to stop failing on the Linux side of things, but the SCOM MP is still highly problematic.  Their pdf guides for SCEP implementation on Linux has a bunch of typos and errors -- for example, listing
'/bin/sh' instead of '/bin/bash', and one of the lines (the one that includes "export LANG=C" won't run no matter what.  When we disassembled the SCOM MP, we found that there's an extraneous space at the end of the command, current thought is
that that's causing a regex to fail within sudo.  All of their commands, from what I can tell, need to be specified as NOPASSWD within sudo; if you see errors about ssh-askpass with that you can confirm that there are likely typos in their guide sourced
from the pdf.  We eventually allowed '/bin/bash' to get the programs to run since we couldn't get a regex match to catch their command (which should be in a script).  We are out of failures that we can discover with logging on the Linux side; it's
likely to be an error within the MP at this point.
When we look at the powershell script in the MP library, the "not found" error is the default state, set immediately after stdout is captured from the discovery script.  I'm guessing that there's some problem interaction between that script
and the parsing thereof, as when we run the script locally as root we see the output that we'd expect. For all I know that's a line ending or locale problem.
Troubleshooting on the linux end is problematic, as instead of distributing a script to check on the linux side (which makes the sudo part of things much easier), the script is hard-coded within the MP.  From what I understand it would need to be disassembled
    and recompiled to change.
The snippet below may be of use to someone for use in their sudoers file, it will make the checks work on the linux side at least.  I wouldn't recommend this for anything beyond testing, as specifying that an account can run a full bash shell as root
without a password is a terrible idea.
#replace scomactionaccount with whatever your scom action account is called
    User_Alias SCOM = scomactionaccount
    Runas_Alias SCOM = root
    SCOM ALL = (SCOM) NOPASSWD: /opt/microsoft/scx/bin/scxlogfilereader -p
SCOM ALL = (SCOM) NOPASSWD: /bin/bash

  • Security updates for 11.2 Flash Player for Linux?

When attempting to download an update for 11.2 Flash Player for Linux, I saw the note saying that there would be no new development, but security backfixes would continue to be released. I've seen the security warnings for months on my Linux install in Firefox (which is updated) but there does not seem to be a security patch that would stop these "Allow - Continue Blocking" warnings for Flash Player.
When can we expect these to be completed? Linux users may not comprise a large portion of your user base, but the alternatives are extremely expensive hardware and/or software if you want to use an Apple or Microsoft product.

I chose "Yum for Linux" and the file that was downloaded was:
    adobe-release-x86_64-1.0-1.noarch.rpm
I see now that if I select the "rpm for Other Linux" it downloads the flash-player rpm complete with the version info, so perhaps the Yum version is a wrapper. I assumed that since Fedora (and Redhat/etc) uses yum, that I should download the YUM version... in order for it to take effect, I had to perform the following commands after downloading the above rpm:
    sudo yum remove adobe-release-x86_64-1.0-1.noarch
    sudo yum localinstall adobe-release-x86_64-1.0-1.noarch.rpm
    sudo rpm --import /etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-adobe-linux
    sudo yum -y install flash-plugin
That allowed me to get the newer version of Flash player to show (and no longer receive the security warnings) but it seems if I had used the Other for Linux download that I wouldn't have had to take those extra steps. I guess we'll find out when the next security update to flash player is released.
    Thanks,
    -Tim

  • How to update "profit center for billing"(VBAP-PCTRF) for sales order.

Now, we need to bring "profit center for billing" in sales order to correspondence with meterial master, while BAPI "BAPI_SALESORDER_CHANGE" contain not this field, is there any way to achieve except modify database table directly.
    Thanks!

    Hello,
Pay attention with BAPIs in SAP, they often use different names as input parameters as the actual fieldnames.
In your example you can use the BAPI BAPI_SALESORDER_CHANGE.
You have to check the parameter ORDER_ITEM_IN (table) with field PROFIT_CTR.
This will correspond with the field VBAP-PCTRF that you want to update.
You will also have to use the table ORDER_ITEM_INX of the BAPI and flag your field (PROFIT_CTR) with an 'X' in order to update it in the database.
Always use the RETURN (table) parameter from the BAPI to see what the result is of your update.
    Success.
    Wim

  • When will firefox be updated for linux ubuntu ?

Compared to Firefox on other OS's this one just don't cut it for me.. it needs to be more compatable to ubuntu.. and an upgrade for flashplayer and java..This version isnot good at all..

Adobe is the one that makes and provides the Flash player plugin for Linux and they currently only support 11.2 esr with security updates.
Firefox does not come with any Plugins with the exception of the OpenH264 video codec provided by Cisco more recently.
Mozilla does not make any packages or updates for Ubuntu version of Firefox as Ubuntu does that. Also Ubuntu is only one of the huge list of Linux distros out there as Mozilla cannot just make it work best for only one in particular.
Mozilla does provide tarballs for 32-bit and 64-bit Linux at www.mozilla.org/firefox/all

  • [request] Jriver Media Center 19 for linux

It would be very nice  a package for Jriver Media Center 19 for linux.
    Reference here:
    http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?board=35.0
I have installed manually in my system. It's a 32 bit package and it needs lib32-curl 7.23.1 (not the last one in repository).
You can see my discussion here:

Luckly requirement for libcrypto++ and libboost-regex has been dropped!
I remember that this Media Center is one of the best ever made. The version for linux is Audio only, but can play also DSD bitstream.

  • Proper Method for updating Virtualbox on linux-ck? [SOLVED]

Running linux-ck on sandybridge, here are installed packages:
    linux-ck-sandybridge 3.19.1-1
    linux-ck-sandybridge-headers 3.19.1-1
    virtualbox 4.3.26-1
    virtualbox-ck-guest-modules-sandybridge 4.3.24-2
    virtualbox-ck-host-modules-sandybridge 4.3.24-2
    virtualbox-ext-oracle 4.3.26-1
    virtualbox-guest-iso 4.3.26-1
    virtualbox-host-dkms 4.3.26-1
    kernel information:
    3.19.1-1-ck #1 x86_64
After updating Virtualbox, I am receiving this error:
    RTR3InitEx failed with rc=-1912 (rc=-1912)
The VirtualBox kernel modules do not match this version of VirtualBox. Reload the modules or if you don't use our stock kernel execute
    'dkms autoinstall'
Which of course would traditionally mean that I must re-compile virtualbox kernel modules. In the old Arch days, that was:
    /etc/rc.d/xbovdrv setup
I'm a bit confused by both the Virtualbox wiki page as well as the linux-ck page; my understanding is that the linux-ck repo contains updates modules for virtualbox, and that these automatically update (thereby removing the need to use dkms). However, I am fully updated and I am still getting this error (after reloading kernel modules and rebooting).
    I've also tried running:
    dkms install vboxhost/4.3.26
As root, but it only reports that, "Module vboxhost/4.3.26 already installed on kernel 3.19.1-1-ck/x86_64"
I'm sure this is my bad, but I'm afraid after two hours of reading the wiki and this forum, I am still quite lost. I'd appreciate any help - let me know if there is anything else I can tell you all that will help!
    Thanks

No idea why your system has /etc/rc.d/* ... if you're using [repo-ck] I have been be compiling 3.19.2 and just rebuilt the vbox packages updating them to 4.3.26.  There was a short delay since I had to rebuild against the new kernel.  Anyway, just:
    pacman -Syyu

  • Satelitte A110-180 - Update Bios for Windows 7 and Linux

    Hello,
I want to change the following settings in my bios on my laptop Satelitte A110-180
    * AHCI for SATA
    * Disable IDE
But there are no such options.
So I thought maybe I have to update my bios.
I found the download page, but there are 2 options: Windows Vista or NOT Windows vista, but I want to dual boot windows 7 and linux.
Wich one I have to download, or is there an other option to change the settings?
    Thank you!
    Bart

    Hi
Satellite A110 does not support such options (SATA AHCI).
The BIOS update will not help you!
Linux is not supported and therefore you will not find any special BIOS for Linux OS!
The both BIOS updates are for Win Vista or OS independent.
Therefore if you are using OS other as Vista then you should take the OS independent BIOS update!
But like mentioned above; both options will not appear after BIOS update!
