In SAP Easy Access...HR >> PAYROLL >> AMERICAS >> USA >> SUBSEQUENT ACTIVITIES >> PERIOD INDEPENDENT >> TAX UTILITIES >> UPDATE CLIENTS
When do we use this step...UPDATE CLIENTS..??

It's a client transport program for BTX* tables.
You can copy:
1. Experience Tax Rates: This program will copy BTXRATE entry from current client to a different client.
2. Tax Companies
3. Employee group
etc and many more.

(1) Checked Setting, set to automatic update whenever, even changed to never update, rebooted the OS and changed back to automatic update and rebooted the OS.
(2) Stopped Windows Update Services, renamed SoftwareDistribution folder and started the window update services and rebooted.
(3) Ran MS FIXIT
(4) Ran System File checker Scan (sfc /scannow)
(5) Ran CHKDSK /F
(6) Installed "Intel Rapid Storage Technology" drivers from Lenovo site
(7) Ran Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB971033)
None of the above possible recommended solutions were able to fix the issue yet and now I am getting a message your Window is Not Genuine!

The Lenovo System Update installed the "Intel Matrix Storage Manager driver 8.9.2.1002" right before the Windows Upgrade got broken. So in the Device Manager under IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers, I choose Intel ICH9M-E/M SATA AHCI Controller, on the Driver Tab, I choose the option "Roll Back Driver" and after rolling back the driver and restarting the OS, now Windows Update is working like a Champ!

Could any one tell me why, since I updated to v 20, my Software update client always says “all applications are up-to-dated”?
It was not important until now with Maps 3.3.

Because all software ARE up to date on your phone. The n97 is not given the map 3.03 update. It will be available for the n97 via a firmware update which has just recently been released. If it is not available for your phone, then your product code must not yet be available for updating.
@chanchan05 - Not sure regarding the map update... I have an N97 (not mini) and when I was checking for latest software updates, I received the map update on 28 Jan.... No official news from Nokia on FW 2.1...

iOS 4.3.3 doesnt have the "Update your Software" tab so you will need to go to itunes and back up your iphone then restore your iphone and it will download the latest iphone software (6.1.4) if you dont want 6.1.4 download your current version and hit shift on your keyboard (alt if your on Mac I think) and click restore iphone and find your downloaded software 4.3.3 then download iOS 5 or 6 and do the samething after your phone boots up from restoring it to 4.3.3.

All those old iPod Software Updater files in my Utilities folder?

I notice that I've collected a series of "iPod Software (Version) Updater folders in my Utilities folders. (Same for iSight Updater) Do I need to keep those or can I trash them and recover some HD space?

Anyway, if you want you can remove them to recover HD space. But I suggest you keep at least one old version, just in case there are any problems.

I have had this exact same issue (down to the server version and even hardware).
I found a kickstart command for remote management that seems to have fixed it. Unfortunately, your link to the guide you mentioned isn't working for me, so I'm not sure if this was in what you already tried, but it did work for me, so I figured I'd share:
ssh into the server then issue these two kickstart commands:
sudo /System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/Resources/k ickstart -configure -clientopts -setdirlogins -dirlogins yes
sudo /System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/Resources/k ickstart -restart -agent -console
The magic is in the first one... the second just restarts Remote Management without having to reboot your server.
As a side note, I don't actually have a workgroup named ard_admin, but the open directory account I am using to remote login is considered an administrator of the server.

Noip dynamic update client

Installed noip dynamic update client from community repo for ssh access if my ip changes while at work.
No info in wiki or man pages. Resorted to "noip2 help" no-ip.com support pages and Google for config info.
Have noip installed and working, although it's not automatically updating no-ip.com when my dynamic ip changes.
Have noip2 in my daemons list in /etc/rc.conf
Can access my home computer from work via "ssh *********.no-ip.org" rather than ip addy.
Logging into no-ip.com account after ip changes shows it does not update the ip.
Running "noip" in a terminal updates the ip in my no-ip.com account.
Ran sudo noip2 -C to configure x times and still have an empty no-ip2.conf, except for "0.0.0.0"
Running "sudo noip2 -S" get the following:
1 noip2 process active.
Process 18169, started as noip2, (version 2.1.9)
Using configuration from /etc/no-ip2.conf
Last IP Address set 7*.***.***.***
Account j*******@*****.***
configured for:
host *********.no-ip.org
Updating every 10 minutes via /dev/eth0 with NAT enabled.
Using nano rather than leafpad to look at no-ip2.conf shows the following:

Should I manually put something into the no-ip2.conf and if so, what?
I see a bunch of files similar names to this "NO-IPinGDWE" now that are empty in /etc.
It'd be cool if someone who knows more than me would start a noip wiki page. If no one bites, I'll make one after I get this figured out.

Yea I'm pretty sure the password was correct and verified by running "noip2" in a terminal and that updated it. Thanks for the binary no-ip2.conf info. That explains what I saw. Any idea why would it be a binary file?
Got it updating now. First prob, I think originally, I ran noip2 -C as user rather than root. Second may have been file permission for no-ip2.conf was read write root only. I changed "root group" and "others" to read only access.
Not sure which change fixed it but it's updating the ip correctly now.

You can have a check by the acct key assigned in your pricing procedure.
Select the cond type in your case it is the tax and go to the acct key.
now select the acct key in the img screen search and relate to your relevant key and from there you can find out ur acct.
generally taxes on sales/purch go into mwst account.

Software updates - client behaviour

I deployed SUP role and clients in test collection I deployed updates to got their updates. However I noticed two "weird" things on client machines (I am talking about test environment since I am learning SCCM 2012 R2):
Update settings in Control Panel - Windows Update are not grayed-out (in production I have WSUS server and GPO pointing clients to WSUS and these settings are grayed-out - I do not have SCCM in production)
In Software Center user has complete look at update process but e.g. if user picks some update that has been installed and requires restart, in lower-right corner there is button RESTART - I did not try but I assume user (me) could have pressed this
button and in doing so installation of remaining updates would have been interrupted
How to troubleshoot this? I took a look at software updates client settings and I did not notice any settings related to problems I depicted above. In my opinion update settings should have been grayed-out and RESTART button should not have been available before
all updates are installed - then RESTART is inevitable action.

Changes to those settings won't prevent the ConfigMgr client from triggering the WUA agent for the configured scans and installations. If you want to prevent access to those features you can use GPOs.

Profit Center to be updated in Service Tax GL's as per Project Profit Cente

We are facing a problem please if any1 can help?
In case of Billing Document with Service Tax Code, Service Tax line items require Profit Center field.
If we maintain Default Profit Center in FAGL3KEH, then system picks only that Profit Center against Service TAx GL's.
But for each Projects there is Profit Centers & also 1 Plant assigned in Project System.
Now for all Profit Center's there are only 3 Service TAx GL's(Main GL, Education Cess & S & HS ECess).
In FAGL3KEH, we cannot maintain same GL's for different Profit Centers.
Client Requirement is that, In Service TAx GL's line items in Journal Entry Profit Center to be updated as per Profit Center of Project.
So where can we do such settings?
Can Profit Center field be updated in an entry based on Project chosen for entering Billing?

Are you generating the billing docuemnt aginst the Project/WBS element. if so please delete the default account assignment to service tax accounts. it will read the Profit center from Revenue line item int he delivery document.

Error while Updating Client Metadata & Certs on Oracle Identity Federation

We need to update the certs on OIF 11g (we are Service Provider's) as our client certificates are expiring soon.
we got Metadata and Certificate from Client and these are step we followed for updating certs -
*1. In the OIF 11g - EM console, under OIF server-> security and trust -> under trusted CAs and CRLs, deleted the existing certificate for that partner and upload the new certificates.*
*2. Then Generate Metadata a new and upload it again under the partners side (OIF - EM - Under OIF server - Fedeartion)*

Problem with Updating clients with UNIX command

Hi.
Until this day, I used to update all our 50 client macs by manually logging in as administrator via ARD and choosing Software Update from the apple menu, this works always and I use our own servers SUS so the downloading is really fast. Still, this clearly is time consuming and annoying when you have this many clients. I have now done some search and I know I could do this by sending unix command to clients using ARD. First I had problems with running the command, then I noticed I need to run this as root. Then it "works".
Works, not quite. It starts to run, and I can see all the output. I have tried this with few clients and the results are confusing. The following is an output from one client I send the command "softwareupdate -i -r"

And thats it, it stops there. Few clients completed the task, but the output says that they skipped the installation of all updates. In the case above, there is some skipping too, and I don't know what it means. Yesterday I left one client to this part where its Registering updated components.... , and today when I came in, it's still there, and the task is still running. When I update the clients with the Software Update from apple menu, it takes usually 10 minutes max to complete the whole process, download and install. After I restarted the same client and ran the manual Software Update from apple menu, it shows the same updates, it didn't do anything???
Am I doing something wrong with the command?

I am having the same issue. I send the unix command to some test clients to install all updates. The process never finishes and stays at "Registering updated companents....". (See screen shot)
I have manually restarted some of the clients after waiting a very long time. All updates seem to have been installed. I am wondering why the task hangs at this point. I want to be able to ran ASU with this Unix method on the 450+ macs that I manage at work, but it scares me that the task never seems to finish.

Update clients in Tax Utilities....???
