Update column in screen painter

i have column in screen painter and i write data when i make enter it's dissapear why???

Did you have corresponding data object defined in program?
I guess this is where the issue comes from. Simply system can't exchange data b/w screen and program.
Try declaring one, it should help then.
Also, what do you mean by column ? If it is a table control you need to use definition of this table, the simplest is usually by
TABLES name_of_table.
If this is a single field taken as reference from DDIC you should simply define it like
DATA name_of_table-name_of_column TYPE name_of_table-name_of_column.

Hi Siva,
You can update the sy-time by defining a time variable in PBO module and modifying it as you want. It will display the changed time when the screen is displayed.
You cannot directly changed the time in the screen painter as it's only purpose is to setup the screen layout and outlook. Rest all of its logic is given in PBO and PAI modules.

I have try to add new column on existing screen and test screen in se51, the column is added in position correctly. But when I run program call this screen, the added column is placed as the last column.

I have check the table control, it has fix column. So, I set fix column to 0 at table control but when execution by program call it's still not update what I have changed. (On test screen in se51, it come out correctly and updated)
So, I don't know why I use program call this screen, the screen is not updated what I have try to change but, when execute in test screen it come out correctly
PS. I have check attribute, it's numbered right.

Adding field/column in screen painter SE51

We are trying to add field BSEG-VBUND for transaction code FSB1 fast entry screen (program SAPMF05A screen 8503). The new column will be after CoCd. However as the image below shows, TradPart is only on the first row but is needed on all rows as the other fields are.
We tried to use grouping to include BSEG-VBUND for all rows and in screen layout editor it seems to be correct.
But, when the syntax is checked the error states BSEG-VBUND is not assigned to a loop and that it must appear in "PBO" (PROCESS BEFORE OUTPUT) and "PAI" (PROCESS AFTER INPUT).
We added BSEG-VBUND to PAI but then received the error that this is not assigned to a loop.
As a functional - not technical - consultant, I am unfamiliar with how to correct this. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Matrix column position problem in screen painter.

hi.
i am facing one problem.
ie.
i am developing one screen.
it is having 3 matrix
each matrix is having some columns
one matrix ok two matrix ok thrid matrix ok.
but
under third matrix i put some columnes
1, 2 ,3, 4,
in screen painter design mode every thing is ok
it is appearing like 1,2,3,4
but at preview mode or through the code if i open
it is appearing like 1, 4,3,2
in preview mode screen painter if i click on the form settings it is showing only..
matrix one columns only it is not showing either 2 or 3
and if i open the form through the code..
i am able to see the columns of matrix 1 n matrix 2 and matrix 3
i am using some code.

Hi Srinivas,
Can you do one thing for me ? Open your form in screen painter, set the columns as you want to display. Now change the unique id for the matrix. Then try to open it through code or see in preview mode.

Column order in screen painter

Hello all,
After creating a form in screen painter the column are not showing in the order they are shown in screen painter.
I checked the .srf file and the order of the columns is correct, but when SAP B1 opens the form the matrix has the order of the columns all mixed up.
Any ideias?

Screen Painter - Delete a Matrix Column

Hi,
I am trying out Screen Painter. Really nice tool!!!
I added 1 column to much in my Matrix, how do I delete the column?
And how does the Swap button work? (Swap = To trade one thing for another.)

I don't know if there's an easier way, but I open the XML code (the srf file), find the begining and end of the specific column info and remove it. then Save and the column is gone. You can do this in notepad or any editor. You just have to be careful to remove only the right code, but it's all together in one long section.
Of course make a backup of the srf file first Hope this helps.

Issue with Screen Painter Add-On after patch updation

To get Drop Drown Box on screen .
Follow these steps.
1.
Go to T.Code SE51 and Select Laypout for the Screen.
2.
Double click on the field for which u want Dropdown box.
3.
Then U will see Name ,Text ,DROPDOWN.Click on that and select List Box or ListBox with key . Better to to select first one.
4.
Save and Activate ur screen .
5.
Enter the following piece of code in the PBO of the screen.(Change for ur requirement).

create input field for DATE and TIME on screen.ex. DATE1 and TIME1 are screen field names .
2.
Just assign SY-DATUM to DATE1 and SY-UZEIT to TIME1 under PROCESS BEFORE EVENT.
3.How to create text box for giving comments?
1.
Define one variable in the TOP include with type STRING means Global variable.
2.
Create one input field by giving screen field name which u have defined in the above step.
4.How to store the records that we are entering in a table?
For this case.. Create one table control. you can select one record and create record in the Z table by pressing button on Application toolbar..
Check the following steps to handle Table control.
1).
U should take one variable in your internal table or in structure which
is used for table control fields

In this Module read_table_control, You should write the following code

MODIFY itab INDEX tabc-current_line."( This will update the
"ITAB table MARK field with 'X ' whatever we have selected
"on table control.)

4)
If you want to Delete some of the records from Table control
follow this code Create one pushbutton and give Fucnction code to that
and write below code
CASE OKCODE.
WHEN 'CREATE'.
LOOP AT itab WHERE mark = 'X'.
"Use UPDATE statement to create new record.
ENDLOOP.
ENDCASE.

How to enter values in ztable from screen painter

Hi guys,
I have a scenario,where i have to enter values in ztable for the values entered in screen painter.The screen painter is supposedly having 10 columns. i enter the value in the grid(table) and when i save, the records have to be inserted into ztable created by me. how to go through the problem. kindly help in giving a flow for the problem .If anybody has gone through this scenario please help out.

if ur entering one record at a time from sreen to table then
u have to use ,
in pai module of the screen u have to code,
case sy-ucomm.
when 'SAVE'.
ztable-roll = ztable-roll.
ztable-name = ztable-name.
insert ztable/modify ztable.
ENDCASE.
if ur screen is having a table control
then u have to create a loop inside a module.
like
loop at tabcontrol_name
module insert_data.
endloop.
and in the doubleclked module,
move-corresponding ztable to ztable.
insert ztable.
Note : in both cases u have selected input fields as from
table/dictionary in the screen.

For example: I would like to display the fiscal year from the selection screen/input screen when execute the report which also will reflected to the element definition and will display the fiscal year also in the column text?

How to add new column in report painter

I want to add new column in report painter which as to calculate the previous column . value in the new column should be the precentage of previous column existing on left side...

Goto the transaction code (Change Report) GR32.
Give you library name and report name
And click on the column (application tool bar or F7) button then place the curser on the screen where you want column (please note you have to keep curser on the header section u2013Red column text) right click and insert element. Then you select formula as selection element and enter. You will get the enter formula box. Then you can type your formula and continue. This will add new column to the report.
How to enter formula: you can see the formula components in that id and description.
Id is columns that are present and description indicates explanation of that column.
Enter formula according your requirement.
Examples:
Enter formula screen:
ID : des
X001 amount
X002 pt000
X003 test
1. Enter formula as: ( X001 u2013 X002)
The above formula is for fist column u2013 second column.
2. ( ( X001 u2013 X002) / X003) * 100
First column u2013 second column and devide by third column after that multiple with 100.

I am a BW guy and i am new to ABAP and i need your help to solve my problem.
I have created a table for master data(zemp_data) in R/3 se11..which has fields like zempid,zempname,zmgrid,zdeptid,zdeptname and i have created the respective fields in screen painter too but my problem is i dont know how to link this fields in the screen painter to the fields in table .to be more clear i want the flow logic or module pool code to link this table when i give an entry in the screen painter for the respective fields..i will really appreciate your answers and award the maximum points for the usefull answer ..as i dont know ABAP much if it is a step by step approach ..that would be helpfull

Please consider the following
In the screen...the fields must be from the database table in Se11..(in screen painter -> use.."get from Dictionary" -> enter the table name -> select the fields -> drag and drop on the screen) or must have the same name in the database table..This will be a link but unless you code to fetch values from database or update values to database there will be no action taking place
Usually in the PBO(process befor output) we write the code to display values before we accept data from the user ie,set default values on the screen if required and prepare the screen for user input
in the PAI of the screen painter we can do data processing ie, data validations,checks and saving based on what the user wants
So imagine you have buttons placed on the screen and there are buttons from standard application bar like BACK,SAVE, set using PFstatus..all the user actions will be linked to a function cod..ie whenever user presses a button we can uniquely idntify what was pressed by assigning a function code to each button in the menu painter or PF status and do the action accordingly
Assume that you have created a push button on the screen painter and assigned it a function code "PUSH"
so whenever you press the button in the variable sy-ucomm "PUSH" will be captured..this you can check in PAI for the screen like
Case sy-ucomm.
when 'PUSH'.
do the needful coding
when 'SAVE'
Modify database table
endcase.
you can check the standard demo programs in SE38 -> program name-> display for basic ABAP coding you have asked for
(1)demo_dynpro_input_output .
(2)demo_dynpro_dictionary
(3)demo_dynpro_push_button

Symptom
Add-on fails to upgrade on the client when there is a new add-on version available on the server in the common DB.
SAP Business One displays an error message:
"Add-on <Name of add-on>: Add-on installation failed because another version is already installed. Please ensure that the version number is higher than the version previously installed."
Add-on status is then set to pending.
Cause
Consulting.
This issue occurs when both of the following conditions are met:
There is a version of the add-on available on the server in the SARI table of the common DB that is newer than the one on the client.
The server name or IP address registered in the AddOnsLocalRegistration.sbo file on the client for this add-on is different than the name or IP address registered with the license server for the SAP Business One database server.
For example, this issue can occur after upgrading to SAP Business One 8.8 and "(local)" is listed as the server name in the AddOnsLocalRegistration.sbo file. But according to new security policies, "(local)" is no longer a valid server name and the server name registered with the license server will have changed when upgrading to release 8.8.
The following would occur in such a case:
The SAP Business One 2007 client connects to the (local) server.
The client registers an add-on from the server.
The server is upgraded to release 8.8, and is registered with the license server with an IP address or server name. The client upgrades to release 8.8, and continues to work with the same server. The local AddOnsLocalRegistration.sbo file is unchanged by the upgrade.
The add-on is upgraded on the server.
At the next logon, the client checks the version of the add-on on the server and finds that it has been upgraded. The client attempts to upgrade the add-on using the information in the AddOnsLocalRegistration file. But the upgrade fails because the server name in the file is incorrect.
Solution
(1) Open "AddOnsLocalRegistration.sbo" file
(2) Locate the "Common" node under the "AddOn" node and update the "Name" Attribute to the DB Server machine name which is currently used.
(3) Repeat step(2) to update the "Name" Attribute for all AddOns.
(4) Lanuch the SAP Business One and AddOn should upgrade as usual.

Combine checked item and update column

Hi all,
need to design a screen that allow user to update column (code) and also pick which statement to display for the next stage. My thought was to create a checkitem and LOV display. Once user has checked the box , the process should update the code first then select the checked item into a new table. But it appears to me I can get checked item cocept to work and inserted it to a new table but fail to address the LOV update. Can you help ?
