Update DB properties statistics.

Hi All,
How to refresh the Essbase DB Proper statistics, In my data base I am seeing data at Zero level, but my data base Statistics properties shows Existing Level Zero Blocks as 0. I think my properties for this database in not updated. I am trying to hit "Refresh Button" which is of no use. IS there any other way we can update this. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Existing level 0 blocks: Indicates the total number of level 0 blocks (blocks whose sparse dimension members have no children) that exist (contain data). Level 0 blocks are not necessarily the same as blocks that are created upon input if data is loaded at upper levels.

Is it possible to update a SharePoint user properties (like email, title, etc) using CSOM API? In the User class (Microsoft.SharePoint.Client.User) i saw properties like Email, Title are possible to get and set. I tried updating these properties through code
like below, but it is not getting updated in SharePoint. Is there any alternative way?

You are not calling the update on the user object. Here is an example:
String updateUser= "john alex";
User user1 = web.EnsureUser(updateUser);
user1.Email = "[email protected]";
user1.Update();
clientContext.Load(user1);
clientContext.ExecuteQuery();

Best Practices - Update Explorer Properties of BW Objects

What are some best practices of using the process chain type "Update Explorer Properties of BW Objects"?
We have the option of updating Conversion Indexes, Hierarchy Indexes, Authorization Indexes, and RKF/CKF Indexes.
When should we run each update process?
Here are some options we're considering:
Conversion Indexes - Run this within InfoCube load process chains that contain currency conversions within explorer objects.
Hierarchy Indexes - When would this need to be run? Does this need to be run for PartProviders and/or Snapshots? Do ACRs handle this update? Should this be run within InfoCube load chains, or after ACRs?
Authorization - We plan to run this a couple times a day for all explorer objects.
RKF/CKS - Does this need to run after InfoCube loads? With PartProvider and/or Snapshot indexes? After transports have completed?

Hi,
We are using Environment / Tools : BusinessObjects Enterprise XI R2 ,Sun Soloris 10,Active Directory.
To Configure the LDAP, we have done from CMC - > Authentication -> LDAP.
The below steps we have followed.
1) Please enter the LDAP hosts you are using. => Here, we have entered our AD's hostname:port (Ex: 192.168.0.8:389) (Is it correct?)
2) We have passed all the required informations for all other tabs.
3) SSL - Basic(no SSL), Authentication - Basic(no SSO)
Finally its providing the error as " Error updating LDAP properties: An internal error has occurred in the secLdap plugin."
If any one have solution or faced same problem, Kindly help us to resolve it.

There are 3 things needed to get the LDAP plugin configured.
1) Host:port
2) Base DN, usually dc=domain, dc=com
3) LDAP Administrator DN (this is not a visible attribute in AD unless you use a tool like ADSIedit or ADExplorer). You probably have to enter the Base DN instead of the username.
There are other AD specific issues when using the LDAP plugin to AD such as picking custom attributes, rules for multi domains, etc

How to update bean properties when using an immediate link

Hello,
I have a page with a find link next to an input text field. The input text field requires a valid code to be entered. If the user doesn't know the code they need to press the find link to go to a search page and select the code. The input text code field needs to have a value entered so it has its required attribute set because the validator I have and attached to the input text field does not get called unless something is entered in the field. If I don't set the link to immediate the required constraint prevents the search page from being invoked but if I do set it to immediate the values typed on the page are not updated to the bean properties they are bound to.
I have read many posts but I fail to see a way to resolve this. The update model phase is apparently skipped because of the immediate attribute and so the values typed in by the user are lost.

A UIInput holds the submitted value.
When updating models it is cleared to null but when some error occurs it keeps to hold the submitted value.
The TextRenderer uses the submitted value if the value is null.
Therefore, you can see the submitted value is redrawn when some error occurs.
Unfortunately, this mechanizm does not work beyond requests
because the default application action listener always create a new viewroot based on the navigation rules.
An general solution of your problem is not so easy.
I think it may be to customize the action listener or the lifecycle.
A temporal solution may be that the link action copys the submitted value to the managed-beans.

Error when Update Oracle database statistics

Just recent we have upgraded oracle 11 in SAP Landscape. while we are trying to update database statistics through this command
brconnect -c -u / -f stats -t all -f collect -p 4
It is throwing following message without completion

Have you applied patches to your 11g database?... Theres some info online about ORA-24550 been a know issue and a patch has been released for that...

Updating configuration properties

          Hi
          I have a quick question regarding updating the config properties in a resource
          adapter.
          When I deploy a resource adapter, I see that a setXXXX method in the ManagedConnectionFactory
          implementation is invoked for each config-property defined in the ra.xml (where
          XXXX is the name of the property).
          However, when I change the value of a config property in a deployed resource adapter
          using the administration console - these setXXXX methods are not being invoked,
          even if I click on the persist changes button.
          Is this possible some other way, or do I have to undeploy and or re-deploy a resource
          adapter to change its configuration properties ?
          (For what its worth, I'm using WebLogic Server 6.1, SP2 - Windows 2000 & JDK 1.3)

I think you have to restart the server (or redeploy the adapter) for changes
          to take effect, which is been fixed in 7.0 version.
          Please confirm this though.

How to update MainApplicationResources.properties file

I am trying to update a key in the MainApplicationResources.properties file in Tomcat\webapps\businessobjects\enterprise115\desktoplaunch\WEB-INF\src\com\crystaldecisions\ePortfolio\framework\main\ folder. After the changes, I have updated the desktop.war file and redeployed but my changes are not getting reflected in the ApplicationResources.properties file in Tomcat\work\Catalina\localhost\businessobjects_enterprise115_desktoplaunch\loader\com\crystaldecisions\ePortfolio folder. How do I propogate the .properties files changes to the combined ApplicationResource.properties file?

I think i have mixed it up :)
I have looked at it again and believe you are using regular JSP portlets.
Can you tell what you want to achieve by reading .properties file. Are you meaning the preferences of the portlet or what exactly are you trying to do?
Reading propertie files is easy:
