Update_docinfo - How do you update required service parameter

Using Content Server 10gR3. I have a website that I want to change all of the content to a different dDocAccount. I can get the documents using get_search_results using RIDC, that part was easy. I can also loop through the result set and display the information, again pretty simple.
I want to update dDocAccount with another value, but that is a required field? Is there another way to do this programmatically?

Batchloader could work also. Archiver is generally easier though. But since Archiver pulls the files out of the CS repository (or copies of them if no delete is done) then there much be space on the file system in the Archives directory and sometimes you can not do this. then Batchloader with a batchload file with all the metadata desired set (in this case update to dDocAccount) and run against the CS. No file copying (download to Archives directory and then upload back into the CS).
That is a complaint about Archiver when there are NO changes to the content and only Metadata updates are done.

As other already said above, the service partition remains in it's initial state and doesn't evolve as your system partition does over the time. Thus what the service partition offers, is more like restoring a virgin system e.g. the state the notebook was when delivered from the factory.
A better strategy for what you might have in mind is, to perform continously/incremental system partition image backups onto some external connected backup-harddisk. Those image backups will then contain the momentary whole actual state of your system (including played in service packs, driver updates etc.) and when in trouble you can restore a much more actual state of what your system contains, without playing again in SPs, updates etc. since those are already inside and part of your backup images.
You can perform such image backups with the help of Rescue and Recovery or some thir party tool like Acronis TrueImage.etc.

How do you update the Bios safely when using onboard RAID with Z87-G45? I'm using a simple two drive, RAID 1 mirror setup.
I'm currently at bios 1.4, and want to move up. However, last time I upgraded the BIOS, the machine rebooted with improper settings for the RAID (they get hosed during BIOS flash) and Windows decided to auto-repair the only boot drive it could see, one half of the mirror, because it couldn't see the RAID array correctly and *POOF* bare-metal reinstall required.
My PC will not let me press the DEL key on bootup to access the bios, even with MSI Fast Boot not installed. It just ignores the DEL key and tries to load windows which, if that happens, will flame-out my RAID array after a bios flash if I can't catch it to enable the RAID first before windows loads.
I do not want to rebuild my PC again simply because I do a BIOS update.

FYI: BIOS 1.4 & 1.8 are using the same RAID version: 12.7.0.1936
based on this RAID surprise should not hapends.
But as pandaz says if you have no issues, leave bios update alone.
there are still risks something to messed up,
best do a backup of your data just in case if you want to try latest version

You'll need to copy them to iCloud in order to see them on your PC. To do this, do the following:
Go to Settings>iCloud, turn Contacts to Off, choose Delete from My iPhone when prompted (they will still be in iCloud).
Download the app My Contacts Backup. Use this to backup the remaining contacts on your phone (from Verizon) as a vCard attachment to an email that you send to yourself. Confirm that you have received the email.
Go to Settings>iCloud and turn Contacts back to On.
Open the My Contacts Backup email and tap the attachment to import the Verizon contacts back to your phone. They should now be in iCloud, and appear on your PC. You may see duplicate contacts on your phone because you are still viewing both the contacts from Verizon as well as the copies now in iCloud.
Open Contacts on your phone and tap Groups, tap the Groups that were imported from Verizon so they are unchecked and tap Done. This will hide them from view and illiminate the duplicates.

Yes, the linked smart object can be either raster or vector, but they will be placed as raster images, just as the embedded SO are. SO can be embedded or linked to an outside file. Edits to the original will not update in the original until you select "Update modified content from the menu" when you reopen the file that has the place SO in it. otherwise it will update when you save the linked file. Yes, there still is an advantage to having an embedded SO. You may not want to maintain the links - send a file off and forget to include the linked files. You may want to alter the SO, but not the original file.
Ah, thanks. But does this mean that raster and vector smart objects can EITHER be located within the Photoshop file (as they have been since their advent) OR linked to an external file?
And if so,
1. Can this linked file be either raster or vector?
2. Do edits to it automatically update the Photoshop file?
3. Is ther any longer any advantage to having the smart object data stored within the Photoshop file when it can be linked?

I have tried to do the update when I first turn the computer on, go directly to Photoshop, go to update and click on that, get new screen, close Photoshop, and I still get a message to close the already closed program. I believe I have to open Photoshop to get to the update area, so I don't know how to get around this issue. I hope someone can help me.

The app loads great and I can see run it ok. But if I update the HTML page it never gets updated. How do I update the code for the mail app once it is up and running? I was able to update it once but am not sure what I did.

In debug mode, you need to reload the app by click the mail app to reflect the changes.
