Update does not download

Flash may not be downloading. The Downloads window comes up, but never shows a file. The file does appear in explorer. I don't know what the file size should be...? I even turned off my firewall; didn't help. When I try to run the file, Flash initializes, then begins to "download." It gets to 12% and times out every time.
I'm running newly updated Firefox on Windows XP. I first tried install_flashplayer10_mssd_aih.exe. Then I went to another page and it looks like the right file for Firefox is install_flashplayer10_chrd_aih.exe, so I've been trying to intall that.

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of this exercise is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login. First, disconnect all wired peripherals except keyboard, mouse, monitor, and Ethernet, if applicable. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account that has the problem. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
Be sure your Mac is shut down.
Press the power button.
Immediately after you hear the startup tone, hold the Shift key. The Shift key should be held as soon as possible after the startup tone, but not before the tone.
Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple icon and the progress indicator (looks like a spinning gear).
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, perhaps including wireless networking on certain Macs. If you usually connect to the Internet via WiFi, and it doesn’t wohrk in safe mode, connect using an Ethernet cable. If you can’t do that, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and perform a safe login, as follows: Enter your credentials at the login screen, then hold down the shift key and click the “Log in” button. Keep holding the key until the menu bar appears. In this mode, your login items, among other things, won’t load.
In safe mode, test again. Same problem(s) now?
After testing, reboot (if you booted in safe mode) or log out/log in (if you performed a safe login) as usual.

7th generation nano update does not download

I have a 7th generation nano that needs to be updated to 1.0.3 from 1.0.2. When I launch iTunes (version 11.1.5.5) and click "update" or "restore" a box launches to a spot on my hard drive rather than launching an internet based update. Is there some way I can download 1.0.3 to my hard drive so I can do an update?

ITunes update does not download

When I try to update iTunes from version 10, I click on the download now button and go straight to 'thank you for downloading iTunes'. However, nothing actually downloads! I've checked Windows requirements (using Windows XP), I've tried with no firewall and I've tried using Internet Explorer, Firefox and Chrome.

Perhaps try downloading and saving a copy of the installer to a different PC. (If you're on a 32-bit Windows system, try to download on a different 32-bit Windows system.) Copy the iTunesSetup.exe installer to an external hard-drive, or a large-enough thumb drive or burn it to a CD-R. Carry the installer back to your PC, copy the installer to your hard drive. (Don't run the install from the ExHD, thumb or CD-R.) Start the install by doubleclicking the iTunesSetup.exe file.

New operating system updates does not download

I have trying to download the latest operating system updates for my IPhone 4 and I am constantly getting an error message that indicates, "The Network Connection Has Timed Out." Any thoughts or recommendations?

You need to connect your iPod to iTunes on a computer and update from there.

The Settings > General > Software Update option only appears when you have iOS 5+ installed, if you have iOS 4 then you will need to do the update via your computer's iTunes.
Connect the iPad to your computer's iTunes and copy any purchases off the iPad to your computer via File > Transfer Purchases. You may also want to copy photos and any important documents off the iPad as well e.g. via the file sharing section at the bottom of the device's apps tab when connected to iTunes, via wifi, email, dropbox etc - they should be included in the backup, but it's best to have a copy of them outside of the backup just in case. You can then force a backup of the iPad by right-clicking the iPad 'Device' on the left-hand side of iTunes and selecting 'Backup'.
Then start the update by selecting the iPad on the left-hand side of iTunes, and on the Summary tab on the right-hand side clicking the Check For Updates button

Apple isnt here. this is a user based forum for technical questions. The solution is to restart, reset, and restore as new which is in the manual after that get it replaced for hard ware failure. if your within your one year warranty its replaced if it is out of the warranty then it is 199$

Apple released iOS 7 yesterday and many of your Apple users may have upgraded their device(s) or will be upgrading in the near future.
When an existing OverDrive Media Console (OMC) user upgrades to iOS 7, the app will fail when trying to open a DRM-protected eBook. New or first time users of OMC are unaffected by this issue.
We are resolving the issue but in the meantime, here are immediate remedies for users:
1) Re-authenticate the app with their existing or a new Adobe ID. Refer to the iOS section of this Help articlefor assistance. (Recommended)
2) Uninstall and re-install OMC which will also require the user to re-authorize with Adobe. IMPORTANT NOTE: A re-install will clear a user's bookshelf, history, and app settings.
Audiobook users won't notice that anything is different unless they attempt to download parts of audiobooks they already downloaded to OMC before upgrading to iOS 7. A user will receive an error message informing them to download the title again.

I understand that your update is not downloading with your HP Officejet 6700. I am sorry to hear this, but happy to help!
Please try a hard reset, by going to this post, How to perform a Hard Reset, by @Rich1.
Make sure that the printer's power cable is plugged directly into the wall outlet and not a surge protector, Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector. This applies to Inkjet printers as well.
Try the firmware update again, Getting Printer Updates for HP Officejet Pro 8600 (N911), Officejet 6600 (H711) and Officejet 6700 P....

IOS 8.1 Does Not Download All iCloud Mail/ Keeps Cache?

I have setup and enabled an iCloud e-mail account on all of my devices and was successfully able to use the Mail app in Mac OS X Yosemite to copy mail from my Yahoo! inbox to my iCloud inbox. All e-mail copied from Yahoo! Mail appears in the OS X Yosemite Mail app as well as in the iCloud.com site, however, my iPad Air 2 and iPhone 5 both running iOS 8.1 does not download all of the mail from iCloud. I have tried the following on both iOS 8.1 devices with no success.
- Disable iCloud mail and re-enable
- Sign completely out of iCloud and sign in again, then reconfigure all iCloud services including mail
The result of both steps is that the incomplete list of e-mail in the iCloud inbox just reappears in the Mail app instead of downloading from iCloud again. It looks like the incomplete list of e-mail is stored on the iOS device and signing out of or disabling iCloud mail just hides it; re-enabling or signing in merely shows it again. This appears to work differently than my Yahoo! Mail configuration where if I sign out of or delete the Yahoo! account and reconfigure, iOS downloads a fresh copy of all e-mail in the inbox and all other folders. Here are my two questions:
- How do I get my iPhone and iPad Air 2 to download ALL e-mail from my iCloud mail account?
- Are my suspicions true? Does iOS actually store a cached copy of iCloud mail on the device when the service is disabled and just "redisplays" it when re-enabled?

I had the same problem. My iCloud it's a mess since the iOS 8.1 update.
Probably your iCloud isn't working too.

My initial problem was that I suddenly could not copy purchased music from iTunes to my iPod. I tried the suggestion of downloading the iPod Updater. The Updater did indicate that my iPod software, 2.2, "needs update". Upon attempting to install the Updater (by clicking 'Update'), I received the following message: "The Updater does not have a firmware image." I notice that SEVERAL people are having the same problem at this very moment on this message board. I hope someone from Apple notices this fiasco and does something to fix it. Please help. Restoring my iPod is not an option for me. Thanks.

Yes, I've had this problem too. And the iPod has not been updated with any of the tracks I bought since updating to iTunes 5, but iTunes REloaded all the older tracks onto my iPod. Why? Seeing as the upgrade to iTunes 5 was a bit traumatic in itself, I'm not altogether surprised to discover the newer tracks had not been copied: there is obviously some incompatability here somewhere - but goodness knows where.

Yes it does. There are split packages for which one package build can make several distinct packages. For an example, see vim's PKGBUILD.
Fetch the "php" PKGBUILD to rebuild php-apache.
