Update email password
Hi,
I´m new to blackberry but have already succeeded in setting up 2 email accounts.
The 3rd one altough I can send and receive email I constantly receive an email to update my password and that messages are not being sent to my BB.
It´s a pop webmail from a portuguese provider (clix).
Can anyone help with this?
I would first suggest that you go to that email provider account and update the password.
Then make sure you also update with the same password at your BIS account login.

Cannot update email password in settings - prompted for password every time I check mail
Every time I open my email inbox I am prompted to enter my password. Whether I enter it or "x" out of it, it continues to ask me for it every time. I went into settings and the stored password is not the correct one, so I update it, press done & it either says "server unavailable" or "save/edit," either way, it doesn't work (doesn't save when I press save, or doesn't allow me to save at all b/c of "unavailable server." Please help!!!
I have, endlessly. It continues to prompt me every time. And when I try to update my password in settings I see it is the incorrect one, but cannot change it either because it won't save even though it says it is.. Or it says the server is unavailable.

i can't tap on my email account in settings, how can I fix this?
If they are greyed out in Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars then check to see if you currently have Settings > General > Restrictions > Accounts (under the 'allow changes' heading) set to 'don't allow changes' - if you do then change it to 'allow changes'

When I changed my ATT email password, I can no longer retreive my email on my Iphone, even after updating my password in my Iphone. What's wrong? How do i fix it?
make sure the outgoing (smtp server) has the updated password also. settings>mail,contact,calendars>then at account>it will say outgoing, smtp or advanced. after clicking on the smtp it will have an option to change that password, delete it and add ur new one

I recently changed my email address and updated my password. However, when I connect my iPhone 4 it defaults to my old email address which is no longer valid. How do I get my phone to recognize my updated email address and how do I now change the iPhone 4 to recognize the new address? I wish to delete all reference to the old address. Hi.
Here is a procedure that should help.
1. Go to "Settings"
2. Go to "Mail, Contacts, Calendars"
3. Click the account you don't want anymore
4. Go to the bottom and click "Delete Account"
5. Confirm the deletion
6. Go back to "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" (if you're not there already)
7. Add your new account -
Since iphoto 11 update, why can't I upload photo to facebook. It says that fb can't recognize my email/password combination. I can't seem to find out why.
in the iPhoto preferences ==> accounts delete your e-mail account and reenter it
OR
IMHO the better solution is to set Apple mail as the email client in the iPhoto preferences

I had to change my password on my email password, but went to my setting under mail accounts and it is grey and I am unable to update it there. Can someone tell what I can do? This on an iPad2.

Not knowing anything more than what you've posted (e.g., email provider, text of the request, etc.), we can only surmise that this must be the password revalidation that HotMail and other providers send out on a periodic basis. Here is the KB that discusses what to do:

I changed my yahoo email password and it will not update on my macbook. Help!
I have an iphone, ipad, and a macbook. I changed my yahoo email password. The iphone and ipad updated, my macbook refuses to retain the new password. I have to enter the new password everytime it retrieves mail. HELP!

I'd suggest taking a look at your Keychain to resolve this.
I have a couple resources that can help with this.

Open Keychain Access in the Utilities folder in Launchpad. Locate and delete the mail account password item.While in Keychain Access, you can also choose Keychain Access > Keychain First Aid to verify and repair keychain settings.
If that doesn't do the trick, it's probably worth resetting your keychain:

My song and album covers are mixed up, I am also missing tons of my contacts, my phone shutdown on it's own yesterday and it's been repeatedly asked me to verify my email passwords...all since last update...help
I have the same problems with emails and it has possibly cost me business. I deleted a load that I thought were from Facebook before noticing that the subjects were not always matching the content. I have since found out that emails were sent to me regarding some freelance work and as I did not reply they have gone elsewhere that I must have deleted because the subject said they were from Facebook.
it is still happening with emails received today. -
Just got my ipod stolen and now I have changed all my passwords assigned to that ipod, can the person who stole it still see my updated emails and also can they see my facebook, although I changed the password to that too.
If you changed your facebook password they will not be able to login to your Facebook account.
Of course, other Facebook users may be able to see some of Facebook information depending upon how you have your privacy settings configured. -
Invalid Email Password - but its not.
Hi - I hope you can help. I had a BB curve 8520 for past 2 years and loved it. Over Christmas, my son had my old BB and I bought a new one - exactly the same - the Curve 8520. Both operate on orange networks. My old BB was v4 new BB is v5.
I have a personal email address, and 5 work email accounts - all of which have worked perfectly fine on the old BB. However when trying to add them to the new BB, although my personal account has been accepted, when trying to input my work email I keep getting a message that the password is not correct (which I know it is. I have even tried resetting my work email password on the email server).
The email accounts were removed from the old BB when it was given to my son, and although they have worked on that BB for 2 years, I tried reloading them on his BB - but now have the same error message of incorrect password.
I have surfed the net and can see this seems to be an issue, mostly for gmail accounts (My work email is not a gmail account) - but no specific response on how to resolve it. I have carried out all the checks such as making sure keyboard is set to right language, and font does not automatically set capitals as first letter, so that isnt the problem.
The phone is primarily for business use - so I absolutely have to resolve this. Anyone have any ideas to save my sanity?

Use your BlackBerry browser to go to mobile.blackberry.com
Scroll down to Communication
Select > Email and choose the 'other' method (not yahoo or gmail, unless it is).

Why does my email password keep having to be renewed?
this is the second time recently that my email to the BB has been stopped because I need to change my email password. Why does this keep happening? I have changed nothing in my cox.net email account. You are doing something. I can't find a phone number to call you. I can't get my password updated. This is a lousy, unreliable sevice.

Welcome to the Apple Community Michael.
Firstly, you need to change your details with Apple, Start here, change your country if necessary and go to manage your account. You may have already done this.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
Providing you are simply updating your existing details and not changing to another account, when you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your computer, you need to sign out of the account from your computer first, then sign back in using your updated details. (System Preferences > iCloud, click the sign out button)
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iTunes account on your iOS device, you need to sign out from your iOS device first, then sign back in using your updated details. (Settings > iTunes & App store, scroll down and tap your ID)
If you are using iMessages or FaceTime, you will also need to log out and into your ID there too.
