Update Error in nokia e5

HI
i have nokia E5.whenever i want to install skype & nimbuzz software it shows update error.i dont know how to over come on this problem.if any one can help me i will be thankfull to him.

Are you only getting the error message when you try to install those two applications? How about when you try to install other applications? What connection are you using, by the way? If data connection, you can try to switch to WiFi.
If above wouldn't help, you can try to download and install the applications using Nokia Suite. If this would fail still, you may consider re-installing the software of your device.

Software Update Error in Nokia X6 16GB

I bought my Nokia X-6 on 4th Nov , 2010.
The same day , i got a update notification from Nokia on "Ovi Music 11.4" , "Ovi Maps 3.4" and "Here and now 2.0". I successfully updated these things
But after that , everytime I am going to Menu->Application->SW update , i am getting "Refreshing failed.Try again Later".
I tried going from *#0000# also.
There while doing check for updates , it is showing "Connection Error".
My current Software Version is "V 20.0.005" , but i have seen in discussions that V 21 has been released.
Please let me know , how to solve this problem.

Yep I got the x6 and can't even update anything .... every time i go to the update screen a pop up screen comes ... it says that sorry the nokia servers are busy you may try again and then pop out .... I tried somthing else i disconnect my internet connection then go to update page it saied you have update then I reconnect my internet then clicked the update then it update the software and when i tried the exact pattern for update softwares when it comes to downloading it just says that instal failed for folowing programms ... does it even possible? i mean ofcourse its a free service but it should have some support costumer to take care you know ... I mean there should be a fix as soon as posible ... i have another for (N95) when it comes to update it says there is no update for your phone despite from that my software version is 10.X.X.X i don't know what to do please somone do somthing i'm seak and tired of getting errors with my phone ... software and OVI > i bet i must try HTC my cousin have it but never get A problem with her software :-l even though i like the nokia phone maybe i should change my brand phone what do you say guys?

I'm using nokia ovi suite v3.1.0.92 which was the latest version on nokia website
I had some software errors on my phone so I wish to re-install its software
when i start the re-installation process i always had the error 12017 when it start to downloadf the software

well its downloading version 30.0.004 for my n97 mini with SW updater 3.0.383..
lets see how it turns out.
update from phone showed only a 16mb file while the SW updater is downloading a 156.60 MB file..
i mean i know the pc update file is bigger but this is way bigger, just hoping that my phone shows some massive upgrades
god knows m having trouble with this phone's music player so much and hangs on me often..
will post again once its done..

N8 Update error on Nokia Suite

After downloading Belle update I get message memory low on G: on computer dont have G drive on computer don't know what happening. and doesnt retry it.. thanks

Reason being..Updates are released thru' FOTA only, Nokia Suite only or thru' BOTH ..
..hence, in your case you will be able to update only thru' the Nokia Suite ..

Nokia N95 Mobile Search 4.0 update error after fir...

I upgraded to Nokia N95 new firmware i.e. 20.0.015
I got the new Search in the menu and on active standby. But the application does not work. I downloaded it from the nokia mobile search site but during installation it says "Update Error!"
I cannot see how to uninstall the one which came with firmware. In short it is not working. Rest everything is cool with the new update.

Nokia Software Updater -- Error 1402.Could not ope...

When I try to install the Software Updater for the first time to update my Nokia 6500c phone, I receive the following error message about 57% during the install process. I checked my permission keys in the registry, and they seem to have all the correct Admin permission.
Any suggestions?

It looks like you do not have access to the registry key mentioned i.e. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Run\Optional Components\IMAIL.
This might be due to the fact that you may not be added to the Administrators group or the registry key has been denied access explicitly to a group that you may be part of.
People in my network setup were facing the same issue, and we fixed the same using Microsoft's "subinacl" tool. You can follow the below mentioned steps to rectify your issue as well:
1. Download Microsoft's SubinACL tool from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=e8ba3e56-d8fe -4a91-93cf-ed6985e3927b&displaylang=en
2. Install the same by double clicking on the "subinacl.msi" just downloaded.
3. Open Command Prompt window through the Run Dialog Box (Start -> Run and type "cmd" and click OK)
4. In the Command Prompt window, type in the following commands:
i. cd /d "%ProgramFiles%\Windows Resource Kits\Tools" (Hit Enter)
ii. subinacl /subkeyreg HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\Opti onalComponents /grant=administrators=f /grant=SYSTEM=f /grant=USERS=f /grant="Creator Owner"=f (Hit Enter)
You should see some processes happening on your screen. After the process ends, retry the update operation you were originally trying to perform. Hopefully, it should succeed now.

ERROR IN NOKIA SOFTWARE UPDATER 2.5.2(LATEST) For ...

Hi everyone. I yesterday installed Nokia Software Updater 2.5.2 (LATEST) on my PC Running-
Windows 7 ultimate 32-bit build 7600
No ovi suite installed.
I had some problems in my new software V50 of Nokia 5800.
I tried to reinstall the firmware but there is no option to reinstall as earlier versions of NSU had.
But in help file of that NSU(5.2.5) it is written that-:
''After the phone has been detected and identified and the update information checked, Nokia Software Updater displays a summary on the PC screen. If you want to continue updating your phone software, click the Update button. It is also possible to reinstall the same software version that is already in the phone.
Now what do I do as in my NSU there is no option to Reinstall??

Actually I updated through FOTA. It was successfull.but now I had some problems after it has been successfully installed.That's why I wanted to reinstall it and there is no option to reinstall. SO please tell me if u know any way to reinstall the installed update

hi! i am unable to read few of my messages say' every 2 out of 10...after a success full update to version410.21.010 and RM-346. actually i did a simple data restore (containing messages , settings and contacts) after the update.. i did it twice after that to check but all in vain..infact OVI suite too does not display the message in my inbox here is a screenshot of the unreadable message with a questionmark sign in front..though message details are available but cant open the message!!! in sequence : 2nd,3rd,4th,7th and 9th

no no no....the matter is not the old messsages...but the new messages that are to come. The probability is that some of them too not become unreadble!!! though i dont have synced them instead have made a backup of them...restoring which seems to be the bone of contention! i want to know is that an update error or should i not restore my backup to avoid the problem after the format???

Windows live Update error

I have a E61 and have finally found a Windows live installation but it keeps coming up with update error and will not install. Does anyone have any idea what the problem is. The nokia installer has the code 544. If anyone can help I would be most gratefull.

I have now found the correct version of windows live from microsoft and not the dodgy chinese version I kept hearing about. It works perfectly over WLAN (saves booting the PC) and has all the features of normal messenger.

If you do download this there is a little note that says read first. Please make sure you read this as the installation comes in two parts and if you get it the wrong way around it will not work.

Update Error -000C 9840

Greetings. Since the SIM was taken out of a defunct (would no longer charge up) roughly 9 year old Nokia, it has been tried in 3 different new or more recent phones - basic things such as 1208 and 3310.
When trying to send a text using the phone book to supply the number, it refuses to do so. At an early stage after putting the SIM in a different phone a text from Orange came saying Update Error -000C 9840.
Texts can be successfully sent by replying to a text already in the Inbox, but this is obviously not a sustainable situation.
Has the SIM become damaged?
Any advice appreciated!

CONTACT TRANSFER ERROR IN NOKIA 515

Hi , i tried transferring contacts from Lumia 1020 to nokia 515 by using transfer app which comes in nokia 515 .. After importing all the contacts it started with comparing and after a while i got a error message on nokia 515 CONTACTS IMPORTING FAILED .. PLEASE TRY AGAIN LATER ..

i found the solution for the network connection error during the software update process.....
the error dialog box says to check ur connection or firewall settings...so i recommend the users who are having this problem...first of all if you have any antivirus software installed than turn it off or disable it before starting the update and then Go to- Control panel-Windows Firewall-Then turn it off. and now start the update application you will notice the change and i am sure the update will start and complete without any errors...i was also having the same problem but i tried and resolved it... and also a very important thing that you should take care of....you should make sure that no other application is using your internet connection, don't start any other downloading program because it will decrease the ovi suites downloading speed and it may cause an error...
if the problem persists after turning off ur firewall than restart ur pc and try again...
post me a thanks if your problem is resolved...

Hey. try to update you firmware with computer. Simply connect the cable and install nokia software updater. Than the program simply guides you through the steps. Hope it works
