Update error on my BB curve 9300

Hi!
need help! i was updating my BB curve 9300 to the new os6 and i encountered an error. it says "ONE OR MORE MODULE COULDN'T BE RESOLVED" I tried doing taking out the battery and then plug the phone and do the manual updating, but it still wouldn't upgrade.
I was thinking, my phone has a "T-Mobile" logo on startup. Im using it in the Philippines, via the Globe network. I downloaded the update for globe, but it didnt work. Does anyone know if I should download the upgrade for T-Mobile instead? Would it work? And can I still be able to use my Globe number in it and my BB service?
Thanks for the help!

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
From a PC, you can install any OS package to a BB via this procedure:
http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-Device-Software/How-To-Reload-Your-Operating-Syste...
Note that while written for "reload" and the Storm, it can be used to upgrade, downgrade, or reload any BB device model -- it all depends on the OS package you download and install to your PC. You can even use a different carriers OS package by simply inserting, between steps 1 and 2, the deletion, on your PC, of a file named VENDOR.XML. Be sure that you remove, from your PC, any other BB device OS packages as having more than one installed to the PC can cause conflicts with this procedure. Also be sure that you only use OS packages that are specific to your exact BB Model Number.
If you are on MAC, you are limited to only your carriers sanctioned OS packages...but can still use any levels that they currently sanction. See this procedure:

  • Error while updating Curve 9300 OS to Os6 Pls help!

While I was updating my Blackberry Curve 9300 this notice popped up "An error has occurred while downloading software for your device.  Please verify your Internet connection or try again later, if the problem persists." My internet connection is fine and my firewall is not blocking it. What am I doing wrong? Pls help. My device software is 6.0 Bundle 1879

Are you still able to use your device? If so, backup your data then go through the following clean application load: http://bbry.lv/cKy9A0 If you can't use your device, follow the steps in the previous link.
Once reload of the device software is successful, restore your data and test using your BlackBerry.

  • Arabic language input system error curve 9300

i have a blackberry curve 9300 running ios 6. every time i try to write in Arabic, whenever i hit teh space bar, i get a message "imput system error. system is being restarted" is there a solution to this?

    Hello!
That error typically means that there is serious corruption in your OS...and a clean OS reload is needed to attempt to cure it.
At the top of each device forum, there should be some "sticky" threads that discuss the OS levels available for many models. If they include your model, then please use those as reference as you proceed. Otherwise, you will have to dig through the official download portal for OS packages for your model:
    http://us.blackberry.com/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
From a PC, you can install any compatible (e.g., for your exact BB Model Number) OS package to a BB via this procedure:
    http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-Device-Software/How-To-Reload-Your-Operating-Syste...
Note that while written for "reload" and the Storm, it can be used to upgrade, downgrade, or reload any BB device model -- it all depends on the OS package you download and install to your PC. If that OS package is from a carrier other than the carrier for which your BB was originally manufactured, then delete, on your PC, all copies of VENDOR.XML...there will be at least one, and perhaps 2, and they will be located in or similarly to (it changes based on your Windows version) these folders:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    C:\Users\(your Windows UserName)\AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML
Be sure that you remove, from your PC, any other BB device OS packages as having more than one installed to the PC can cause conflicts with this procedure.
You may also want to investigate the use of BBSAK (bbsak.org) to perform the wipe it is capable of.
You may also want to try this procedure to perhaps narrow down the precise causal item:
Load your OS "bare bones"...if anything is optional, do not install it.
If the behavior presents immediately, then try a different OS with step 1
If the behavior does not immediately present, then run for as long as it takes for you to be sure that the behavior will not present.
Add one thing -- no matter how tempting, just one.
If the behavior does not present immediately, then again run for long enough to be sure it will not have the same problem
Repeat steps 4 and 5 until all things are loaded or the behavior presents
When the behavior presents, you know the culprit...the last thing you loaded.
If the behavior does not re-present, then you know that either step 1 or 2 cured it.
If the behavior presents no matter what, then you likely have a hardware level issue for which no amount of OS or software can cure.
If you are on MAC, you are limited to only your carriers sanctioned OS packages...but can still use any levels that they currently sanction. See this procedure:

  • Curve 9300: Error 507 then 561 but can't reload the software

Hi, so my Curve 9300 has a white screen indicating an error 507.
I followed the instructions on the website and when I connect it to reload the software, the error number on the screen's device changes to 561 and a window opens to tell me the desktop software can't communicate with my blackberry.
It suggest me to update the software on my blackberry?
When I accept, it asks me to confirm the repair of the device.
Once I clicked on repair and wrote in my password it simply tells me that there are no available updates of BlackBerry Device Software at this time and to put in my email so they can warn me when a new update comes out.
I don't need to update the software obviously, just to reload any version of it so my phone can work again.
If anyone experienced this or knows how i can solve my problem, please help
Either way have a nice day!

    Hi cm1111
    Welcome to BlackBerry Support Forums
As we all know error 507 means there is no OS installed , If your device is not detected then you can try the Application loader to load the OS :
KB10144 How to force the detection of the BlackBerry smartphone using Application Loader.
or You can try this :  How do I wipe the BlackBerry using Jl Cmder? and  What to do next if Jl Cmder will not connect and wipe .

  • Curve 9300 Error 507 & trouble reconnecting JVM

Two days ago my BB Curve 9300 started to show a no battery logo after I had charged the battery the whole night. When I switch on the Phone I get a white screen with Error 507 Reload Software.
I have installed the desktop software and the latest OS on my pc, connected the phone to the pc.
However, when I try to install the new OS, it shows the application loader cannot reconnect to the JVM.
I've already tried to do this without the battery and then put the battery back in when it is trying to connect to the JVM, but this doesn't work..
Somebody know what to do now?
    Solved!

Hi and Welcome to the Community!!
I cannot tell for sure, but are you attempting this?
KB10144 How to force the detection of the BlackBerry smartphone using Application Loader
That should get it to load the OS to the BB, as a 507 means that there is no OS on the BB at all.
    Good luck!

Hi, I have a Curve 9300 with V5.0.0.845 (6.3.0.34 platform), Blackberry App World V2.1.2.19 and BBM V5.0.0. Since BB App World is been telling me there is a new version of BBM (V5.0.3.22), I have tried to update my device with no luck. If I try to update it connecting the phone via wifi or data service, it tells me that BBM is not available for download via BB App World, and if I connect the phone to a pc and try to install it via the pc, it gets me an unknown error. Please help.

    Hi
I have the 8520, so next one down from yours.
Have you tried it directly from your phone, AND plugged into a PC via USB?

i have tried ALL the suppourt forums (KB26671 and KB30074) and suggestions/threads and called my network but none have worked.
these were reinstallign app world, making a new blackberry id as the other email address was associated with an old blackberry, security wiping the phone then restoring it and entering the new bb id, changing the date to 2014 and then hard wiping the phone and restoring it
i have twitter, facebook and bbm ect apps but these are RIM made i think and already preinstalled. everything else on the phone works fine

any help or more ideas would be great!
    thanks

    Hello carckberrypie,
In this case i would recommend wiping the BlackBerry smartphone. To do this we would need to back up the BlackBerry smartphone http://bit.ly/aSediX
Once backed up please follow the link below to perform a security wipe of your BlackBerry smartphone.
    Link: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB14058
Test the BlackBerry smartphone and proceed with a selective restore as outlined below.

  • Software Update - Freezes - Curve 9300

I have been trying to complete the software update for BB Curve 9300 but it is locked with a message = "Update requires additional memory. Removing older data."
This message has been on for close to 12 hours!
How do I stop this. All keys are locked. I can turn off the phone but when I turn it back on I get the same message.
    Assistance please!!

Update - the screen went white and said (I believe as the text was very small) App err. I turned off the phone and all seems OK. EXCEPT the update icon still shows a star - and shows download is complete - but I need to install it and I don't want to do this as I don't want my phone locked up again for another 12 hours. It is the update 6.0 Bundle 2647.
    Guidance please!

  • Need help with a Blackberry Curve 9300, please...

Hello, everyone, I had a look around the forum and came across a post which offered advice one what to include in questions, so I have tried to include the info below.
    Device info
Your carrier: Unlocked (was using Virgin)
Model info and OS version (Go to Settings, then Options, then about): Blackberry Curve 9300, OS 6
    Apps and free space
File free before and after a battery remove/replace. (Go to Settings, then Options, then status): 60%
Did a battery pull fix your issue? No
Apps installed and their version if possible.   (Go to Settings, then Options, then applications): None, only the ones that come with it after reset to factory
BT device model/version (you will have to look at the BT device): Don't know what this means
    When writing your question
Any other details that would help us out with your issue: This was my teenage brother's phone, which since has been given to me. The phone was severely mistreated; thrown around, stepped on and chewed. The battery had to be replaced as well as the middle chassis and the front and back cases along with the keyboard, bottom clip and screen.
Good description of what is really wrong and how to reproduce if possible. Details of what you did before: I managed to get it working after I had replaced everything listed above, but it will not charge using the cable. I have to keep taking the battery out and plugging it in seperately to charge, then putting back in the phone. This is after replacing the cable as my brother broke that too, so it's not the cable. He's damaged the data/ charge port.
The camera will not work, but at the moment I am not looking for a solution for that. The error is: "Could not start the camera. Close other applications and try opening the camera again". No applications are open and the OS has just been updated to the most recent version. For this reason, I think he's managed to break that too and it would need to be replaced if that's possible.
My issue at the moment... My mother, as you can imagine is furious with him for trashing the phone she bought him at about £250 when it was new a couple of years ago. So, as I have managed to get it to turn on and pick up wi-fi, she has said I can keep it. I am on Virgin Mobile and this phone is unlocked. It will not pick up any network even using my Virgin SIM card which works fine. My brother was also using it on Virgin.
I can use it with wi-fi and have already contacted t-mobile and Virgin Mobile to make there there's no problem with them. There isn't. The number has been put under my ownership and the phone registered to me now. It is not blocked or blacklisted, yet, only comes up with SOS for network.
Because of this, they and the local phone shop think he might have damaged the antenna inside. I am an iPhone user, this is the first time I have used a Blackberry, so I have no idea - can the antenna be repaired by myself?
Or, given that the camera doesn't work either/ needs replacing, would it just be better to get a replacement using my contents insurance? I am unsure which would be cheaper, to get the parts and try and fix it myself, or pay the excess for the insurance.
    Advice appreciated... Thanks in advance.

    Hey MaggzieP,
Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
    Thanks for the question.
This KB article will determine if it is a software or hardware related issue for the camera: www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB15544
Also if you tried more than 1 SIM card in the BlackBerry Curve 9300 smartphone and it still shows SOS, this could be hardware related as well.
For all repairs, I can only suggest checking with the point of sale or network service provider for further options.
Let me know if you have any more questions.
    Cheers.

  • Some problems I have with my Curve 9300. Hope you can help me.

    Hi everyone.
I decided to post here to know if someone can help me out, I'm a blackberry curve 9300 user - O.S. 6, I've had the smarthpone for a while now, but since the beginning I've been having some minor details, I want to know if there's a simple solution for those things.
    1. Browser.
Since the beginning, the phone native browser has this problem where it starts to load a page but at the middle it just stops and goes back to the home page, so that I can't load any page. I have to search for another browser which works just fine, but maybe there is something I can do to solve this since youtube or othe pages only load on the BB browser and as I said, it doesn't load the pages. It doesn't promp any error message or anything.
    2. Don't-know-what-it's-for Icon.
For a few months now, there's this icon that I can't tell what it's for, I've already search all over the APP for updates but nothing, I just decided to coexist with the icon as it never goes away. Maybe there's something I'm not doing right to check the icon. Here's a screen capture of the mentioned icon.

    3. Crazy pointer.
Sometimes, not always, the pointer just go mad, it start to move by itself, and when one tries to write it becomes impossible, I've tried changing the sensitivity of the pad but no changes.
Thanks in advance for any advices you can give me.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Awesome! You should now be fine for those two... my guess is the crazy pointer may just be due to an over-sensitive trackpad (usually happens when the trackpad gets covered in skin oils). Try cleaning it once in a while with a soft cloth to remove any finger oils and that should help with that.

  • Curve 9300 connecting to boot rom problem

Hi everyone, I have a curve 9300 and I tried to install an update to the OS. The problem is when i get to the part that says "connecting to the boot rom" the phone starts rebooting and goes like this 3 or 4 times, resulting on a failed update. I already have tried to use another USB port, another computer, connect the blackberry to the pc with the battery pulled, tried another usb cord, all of which failed. Can anyone help me solving this?

Hello Edi27 and welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
Sorry to hear you are experiencing an issue installing your device software.
Did this error come up after the update installed or during the update?
Does the device display any error on the screen or just the BlackBerry start up logo?
Have you tried to reboot your device in Safe Mode as shown in KB17877?
    Thanks!

  • Curve 9300 Doesn't start. Stucks at boot screen

    Hi,
I've got a brand new Curve 9300 less than a week ago. I've updated it's OS to version 6, and it worked perfectly.
When I attempted to configure my email, it automatically asked to update with my carrier's email setup software. I just chose ok. I got three warning messages, which I don't exactly remember but it was about something may not function correctly (regarding to version difference). I just continued installation, and it asked for a reboot.
When I rebooted the mobile, it goot stuck at the boot screen. Then nothing! The thin status bar bellow BlackBerry's logo fills up until it's full, then nothing happens. When I wait for longer time (a few minutes), I get a message on a white screen with a tiny font with "App Error 606", with one option of 'RESET'.
I pulled out the battery and restored it a few times, nothing different.
    Notes:
The LED does not do anything, except for a single red blink when it reboots
The keboard seems to be responsive. I get the Alt and Shift indicators in the top right corner when I press them
The power button doens't seem to cause any response
    I appreciate your help.
Edit: The Desktop Software shows that the device is not connected, even though it's attached to the USB cable.
Edit: The Alt-Shift-Del combination causes the system to go to a blank white screen with that "app error" mentioned above

    Hi 12khaled21,
    Welcome to the community.
Error code 507  comes when there is no OS   installed in your device.
Try downloading appropriate OS and install it.
