Update FAGLFLEXA and FAGLFLEXT user-field

We have inserted an editable user-field on BSEG, COBL, FAGLFLEXA & FAGLFLEXT. The purpose of this field is to classify the Bank Operations basing on a matchcode.
This classification can be changed after posting. When we change the value of the field through FB02, table BSEG is updated, but not FAGLFLEXA nor FAGLFLEXT.
Have you managed to update FAGLFLEX* tables?

sorry i didn't know that your NewGL is active. In this case only
BSEG entries are updated and you have to reverse the posting and do it
again. There is no tool available to update the Z-field in FAGLFLEX*-
tables.

By old G/L my client had implemented some reports means by useing GLPCA Table.
But He wants to Implent in NEW G/L that means i have to change objects which are belong to GLPCA.
i come to know that I need to replace GLPCA into FAGLFLEXA and FAGLFLEXT tables.
But There are few major Fields(Like KUNNR Cunstomer Number Field ) are not present in These FAGLFlEXA AND FAGLFlEXT TABLES so its only replacement of One or Tow tables.
So plz Tell me for all fields of glpca table's respective new G/L Table-field

Hi Sachin,
Please check the SAP Note 826357 which answer frequently asked questions concerning the new gl.
In case you active NewGL with document splitt SAP recommends to de-active the classical PCA as described in the attached note 826357. Then table GLPCA is not updated anymore.
Then all information is stored in table BSEG and for NewGL in tables FAGLFLEXA and FAGLFLEXT.
The fields REFDOCNR, REFDOCLN, PS_PSP_PNR, AUBEL and AUPOS are not available in table FAGLFLEXA but table FAGLFLEXA can be extended with these fields and additionally you have to assign these fields as customer own fields to the ledger. Then these fields will be updated as well in table FAGLFLEXA. (IMG: Assign Scenarios and Customer Fields to Ledgers -> select ledger -> "custom fields").
If you you have classic PCA activated (but with NewGl and document splitting) this is not recommended by SAP.
In case of NewGL active with document splitt not all information is flowing to classical PCA anymore. Any accounts receivables or accounts payable are not flowing to GLPCA table anymore as stated in the note 826357. Please review the note carefully.

Relation between FAGLFLEXA and FAGLFLEXT

Hi all,
I need to know the relation between Tables FAGLFLEXA and FAGLFLEXT. I found out the following fields as common, account number and Timestamp. The timestamp between FAGLFLEXA and FAGLFLEXT for same entry differs.
Other than these two can anybody give other fields that are common between these two tables?

I am aware of those fields, Thanks for the info. Well, I was not clear in my requirement with my earlier post. Let me explain my requirement with the following example.
Document number 0100001964 in our system got posted in G/L Account Number 000102530,1Fiscal year 2010 and time-stamp 20,100,104,050,437. These details are available in FAGLFLEXA table. If I have to take this account number and see it in FAGLFLEXT table (FAGLFLEXT-RACCT field), I'm getting more than one entries with same Cost Element/Company code /Transaction/Controlling area/reference transaction/ledger/version etc. The only relation I could notice was timestamp and amount (both in LC and TC). But miserably, even these two fields differs from those found in FAGLFLEXA.
Kindly provide me some sort of solution.

i tried to use manu user-exit to change this table unfortunately , I have not changed this entry .

When you are defining the elements of the datatype there are columns where you can do what you need:
<b>column type</b>: here you choose the type of data of the element
it can be a standard type or a user defined one (if you click one time only it should appear an icon in the right for input help: click there and choose the type you need)
<b>column occurence </b>: in a similar way of column type here you define the cardinality of the element (min occurence and max occurence)
setting min occurrence: 1, max occurrence 1 or unbounded --> required
mmin occurrence 0, max occurrence 0, 1 or unbounded --> optional
about the attributes there are directly the choice between required or optional.
<b> column details </b>: here you define the length of the element if it is a string or a lot of other things if the type is a different one.

How to insert last update date and user id to a form?

I have created a form to enter data to a custom table.
When a new record is created, I would like to keep track of the creation date, last update date and who (user id) enters the form.
Can someone please help or point me to a right place to look for this information?

Create four new columns in your table called Created_On, Created_By, Last_Updated_On and Last_Updated_By.
You can create a trigger to accomplish the rest:
create or replace trigger "<name of your trigger>"
before insert or update on "<name of your table>"
for each row

    :NEW.Created_By := v('APP_USER');

User-Exit or BADI for USER FIELD in C201 or C202

Dear Experts,
SAP has made provision of USER FIELDs in C201 / C202 (Create/Change Master Recipe: Operation), which is saved in PLPO table.
By applying logic, for each operation I want to create a Phantom part and update values in this user fields at the time of SAVE.
Is there any BADIs, User-Exit or any standard way available which is called at the time of Recipe Create / Change?
Or Should i go through Implicit Enhancement for the same?

Add Item using REST and populate People field (SharePoint 2010)

I am trying to add an item to a list that has a People type field using REST API. For some reason, I am getting 400 (Bad Request) error. Can anyone show me how to add a list item and populate the user field?

Display of Routing User field

The report COOIS only gets updated when you create a Production order with the routing. Also the table plpo is updated after creation of the production order.
But before the creation of the production order, I could not find any report which gives the details of the routing. Even in table TCN01 it is only showing the fields but not the values against the user fields.
Is there any table where the value out in the User fields get stored?

User Field Selections with SAP Asset Report RAGITT_ALV01

Hi,
We are running RAGITT_ALV01 (Asset History Sheet) report and wish to utilize some user fields (ANLU) in data selection. How might this be done? I find when using "List Assets" under "Settings" tab the asset number , sub asset numbers and associated user fields remain. However when using "Main Numbers Only" or "Group Totals Only" under this same tab, sub asset number and associated fields are not to be found and accumulations already include all assets with a given asset number with no opportunity to apply user field data selection criterion which would eliminate some assets included .

Sorry to have taken so long to reply, and thank you for suggestion. We already have our "Z" copy of this program and have been processing from this for some period of time. The problem occurs when trying to apply user fields (ANLU) to data selection criterion for reporting options "Main Numbers Only" and "Group Totals Only". Asset numbers (main and sub) disappear during R3 data base processing never to be seen intact again. Have traced this through and may have solution for "Main Numbers Only" option. Testing is occurring on this "work around". However the third option "Group Totals Only" solution still evades capture. If you have any more ideas please pass along to me. Need to automatically display update date and user in update form field

Hi all,
Hopefully someone can help me with this... I am using dreamweaver cs4 and php/mysql. I have a database table that will be updated by 1-5 different people at random times. I have everything set up and working, as far as the update function, delete function, add new, etc. In my update form the last two fields are Last Updated and Last Updated By. There are fields in the table called 'last_updated' (formatted in PHPmyadmin as timestamp) and 'last_updated_by'. But how do I get them to update on their own? Right now it is showing the first entry into the field which I did in the PHPmyadmin table, but it is not updating automatically. It would be a nice field to have so that we know who has worked on the table and when it was last updated, without the user manually typing that in, which I am sure they would forget to do. By the way, users will login to this with a username and password before editing the records.
This is the code for the last row in the update form with those two fields. It is pulling the fields from the database table, but they do not update automatically...

Updating User field with ListItemFormUpdateValue object and ValidateUpdateListItem for a file metadata

List item with user and/or department field linked + dynamic update of department field

Hi all,
I've the mission to create a Sharepoint 2010 list to manage our IT assets.
An asset is linked to a user or to a department. The user field is not mandatory, the department field yes.
When creating or updating an item, we should be able to choose a user (person column) and the department should be automatically populated. Or we should also be able to let the user field blank and only choose a department.
1. How can I manage this ? The user profile service is already configured, linked to the Active Directory. So user and department information is already in the User Profile.
2. Second constraint : when a user is moving to an other department, the department field should be automatically updated for all items linked to this user. Any idea ?

I think you must write some code for this functionality.
It could be a custom web part or a custom field.

Updating and Loading a Matrix Row with Mix of DB and Non DB fields

I'm using SAPB1 2005 SP1 PL14 with B1DE 1.3
I have a matrix on a form that was generated by the UDO Form Generator. The Matrix contains data associated from a Document Lines table.
The underlying table and (therefor the matrix as well) only had 1 user field (column)
I've added a set of additional (read only) columns to the matrix together with supporting non db user datasources for each column. I've bound the new columns to the user datasources.
The new columns are only informational and should display data associated with the actual db field (column) in the matrix.
I require assistance / advice with 2 requirements:
<i>Requirement 1.
When loading the matrix, I'd like the non DB columns to be populated with data associated with the actual DB field.</i>
<i>Requirement 2.
When Adding / Updating the actual DB field in the matrix, I'd like the Non DB columns to be populated with the assocaited data.</i>
I've managed to get requirement 2 working by using a matrix onValidate Event. (not sure if this is the best approach?)
Any idea how I can achieve requirement 1 ?

Hi Trinidad,
Putting the additaional columns in the table will result in me storing redundant info in the specific table.
The values are already stored in other related tables and I'd just like to display them as additional info fields.
