Update Failed ... as always

My recent attempts to update three different CC apps have failed. I have tried the common uninstall-then-reinstall "solution" that seems to be a favorite solution around here, but it does not work. The error logs show that it is the "CSXS Infrastructure" component that is failing, and I imagine the only way to get that component to reinstall from scratch is to remove all Adobe software from my computer, then reinstall, and I'm not going to do that.
Here is the message in the log file within Adobe CSXS Infrastructure 4 4.0.2 01-07-2014.log:

I have tried copying this DLL file from another machine that has working installers (my other licensed install of CC), but that made no difference.
I would like to add my name to the list of people who are increasingly frustrated by Adobe's apparent lack of attention to its installer issues. I am a software developer and I understand that it can be difficult to track down bugs, but the underlying problem here is one of obscurity: the error messages we get from the CC gui are useless and the most common approach of "uninstall then reinstall" is unacceptable. I would like to suggest that a feature be added to CC's installer processes, whereupon each file is checked against its supposedly correct state and any file that fails such a check can be updated from Adobe's servers.
Otherwise these issues are going to continue and these forums will continue to be filled with irate customers who have spent far too much money to put up with such problems.

Updates are almost constantly failing these days, on both my computers (Mac).
WTF Adobe? Get your s*** together. It really should be embarrassing that you can't even make an installer that works right. It feels like there's been more updates to the installer itself than the actual programs that the installer updates. I too am a software developer, and I just want to know what the heck is going on? Did you guys just assign 1 intern to the installer or what? Maybe you should transfer some senior developers over to the creative could installer and get it fixed up to the level of quality that should be expected from a multi-billion dollar software company.

Try disabling your firewall and antivirus software and see if that helps - if you are trying to update using iTunes on your computer.

Windows Server 2008 R2 updates fail - error code 80071A30

One of our windows 2008 servers has recently failed to install any updates.
I have tried the following solutions but non have worked.
1. Cleaning up the SoftwareDistribution folder.
2. Fixed some errors using WindowsUpdateDiagnostic.diagcab
3. Installed the System update readiness tool. the CheckSUR.log detects no errors.
Still all updates fail with error code 80071A30

It may be worth mentioning that WSUS is installed on this machine. When updateing, cabs are downloaded from itself and it has always been like this without any problem. I have even tried updating directly from Microsoft servers without success. There is
though a difference when checking for updates directly from Microsoft in which the windows update first asks to update itself. the same error occurs anyway.

Updates failed on Adobe Creative Suite 5 Web Premium

Hello, I have a problem. My hard disk crashed so I had to replace it and reinstall my Adobe Creative Suite 5 Web Premium.
The installation was fine, I used of course the Serial Number on the box, but when I tried to launch the update I got the message “some updates failed to install" (although all did fail). Then it says "if you wish to install these updates please fix the problem below and retry". Below it says, under the name of each product "There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later". I did it several times, but got always the same message.
I contacted the customer support, I spent over half an hour chatting, and the result was that, as this is an old product, they cannot help me and told me to post this issue on the forum.
I don’t really understand what is the Adobe customer service for, if they are unable to give help!

CC app manager update failed with error code 50 after reaching about 35%

Trying to update the CC app manager. The update is always very slow (I have ATT DSL, lowest level) and I usually terminate it after an hour or so. Today I let it run and it failed with error code 50 after reaching about 35%. Any ideas?

Update to my original post. I read through some of the suggestions that I found in other threads for fixing this problem, and it appears that this has been an ongoing issue. Numerous fixes have been suggested, some very convoluted, difficult, and involved, including those that came from the customer support folks. I passed on those as this should be something simple. How Adobe manages to let updating of their own software turn into an ongoing problem is beyond me and sort of defeats the purpose of subscribing. I then noticed that a simple fix had been suggested a few times, so I tried that.
The user suggested fix that worked for me was:
1) Restarted computer (Asus Windows 7 i3 machine for me) in Safe Mode with Networking. Logged into my separate Admin account just in case.
2) Started the creative cloud desktop app.
3) The app said it needed to be updated. I hit the update button.
4) Update started and proceeded slowly as it had in many previous failed attempts (I have ATT DSL at the slowest level, but it is not dial-up). Within about 30 min, the update succeeded.
5) Restarted computer in normal mode.
6) The creative cloud desktop app now did not say it needs to be updated, and I can update my other apps normally. Have not updated LR or PS yet, but plan to try. If that fails, I may try doing it in the Safe Mode with Networking.
So, that was relatively painless and much much simpler than many of the other suggestions I saw. Do not know if it will work for everyone, but I wanted to post the fix that worked for me. Thank you very much to the 2 or 3 users who had suggested this fix earlier (sorry, I did not write down your IDs, but the threads can be found by searching for creative cloud desktop update fail error code 50). Hope this saves some people a lot of time.

JDBC Update Failed in JTable Interface

A connection is established to database and the JTable gets the details from database and displays it in the form of a JTable as normal. When i edit just one cell, the update is processed successfully, however when try to update second cell on that particular table, the update would fail. It seems that the second update doesnt actually generate a SQL update statement to execute on database. If anyone has come across such a problem, could you please let me know what i am doing wrong here. I am using an instance of this class to create each JTable on my GUI:

the setValueAt() method generate the SQL according to
the selection on the JTable. The second update doesnt
even generate any SQL query as it should always print
it out in DOS even if update fails.there is only two possibilites remaining.
1) there is a problem with the loop. seems unlikely.
2) the setValueAt is not being called for some other reason.
why don't you put some more lines to help you see what is happening.... some suggestions.
uncomment the e.printStackTrace(); line
put a System.out line at the start of the setValueAt method and through the iterations of the loop.

When deploy multiple updates, some updates fail with Hash does not match expected

If I deploy a few updates (less than 5) the deployment completes without any issues. If I have a lot of updates, most the updates install with no issues but some, and not always the same update, fails with an error in the CAS.log on the client
that states "Hash does not match expected" after several reties the update will download and install.
What could be causing this?
I have setup a new folder that is not on the root of the drive. This has not help with this issue but is handy in organization.

It you don't do anything and the hash calculates and downloads correctly then I would look to a network error of packet corruption or something wrong with the DP.

S850 Update FAILS

I'm getting really sick with the Lenovo crappy products and poor support!!! And since nobody answered in the other guy's thread, here's a new one! My S850 says that there's a new firmware update, but when I try to install it I get a red circle with X in it and message "Update failed"! My phone is NOT rooted, NOT encrypted, NO system apps has been removed. It's running on the original firmware and it's factory resetted. Tried to update it both via PC (LSA) and the built-in update manager. Unpacking the update file passes, but it fails on installing (always at 59%)! Now someone PLEASE tell me how the hell am I supposed to update this friggin piece of not so good?!

USB Drivers:This are the V 1.0.11 & V 1.0.9 driver version.....If you connect your phone to the PC you should have a ''Lenovo Suite'' or similar drive(on the PC) where you can also find the phone's drivers(autorun... .exe file).Don't know what version is included on your current S850 firmware build but some versions of the drivers don't seem to ''work'' on some computers(Windows 7&8).That's why I included the 1.0.9 and 1.0.11

Update failed when adding email

Hi please can someone help me. I have a curve 9320 and had my work emails and hot mail on my phone. My work emails stopped coming through and after attempting to fix the issue, I deleted my work emails from my phone. When I try to add the work email again it keeps saying update failed. The IT dept said I need to change the mail server settings. Does anyone know how to do this or even if this is what the issue is? Thanks

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Is your work email account a BES/Enterprise account? Were you able to, with that, synchronize wirelessly calendar, contacts, tasks, and memos? If so, then your IT folks must resolve this BES activation issue.
If you only had email, then it likely was not BES, and instead acted just like any other "personal/internet" email account. But, I cannot quite tell what you are doing and what your IT department is recommending.
If you are using the on-device email wizard and providing only the email address and password yet it is still failing, then that could be what they are referring to. If the server does not respond with the proper server settings (e.g., port, server address, etc.), then the wizard will indeed fail.
To bypass the wizard and force the ability for you to provide those additional details, you need to provide a correct email address, but an intentionally incorrect password. When the screen repaints, the same fields will be visible, but an additional "tic box" for "I will provide these settings myself" (or something similar) will be added...tic that box and proceed, and you will be presented with a screen on which you can manually enter all of the necessary details.

Adobe Reader XI Update failed. How to fix?

When my windows 7 64 bit computer was updated to adobe reader XI, the update function began to continually fail. I am getting the following "Adobe Reader Updater" message:
"Update Failed An error occured. Please check for updates again later. Error: 111500"
This message annoyingly pops up when adobe attempts to check for updates automatically. I also get this message anytime I manually check for updates. I have tried to "check for updates later" a million times with no luck. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled Reader a million times. I have also uninstalled, utilized the adobe reader removal tool for removal of older versions, and reinstalled a million times. I have also tried reinstalling the older versions. Still, whether i am using version XI or an older version of Reader, I always get the above message when I request an update. Please Help!

This error means that Updater could not create download folder under C:\Users\All Users\Adobe\ARM
Most likely you have special\corrupted permissions at C:\Users\All Users level
Or some sort of Antivirus type program keeps this folder locked.
You have 2 choices
1. Fix permissions\locking issue
2. Download Updates manually and install them every time they are released - http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/release-note/release-notes-acrobat-reader.html
If you choose later, you can disable Updater automatic modes from Edit\Preferences\Updater menu.

Newest Photoshop CC And Bridge CC Updates Fail

My Creative Cloud app says that I have updates to Photoshop CC and Bridge CC to download, but the updates fail. I get the following error message "Unable to extract the downloaded files. Press retry to download again (U44M1I210)" When I press retry it always fails with the same error message. I tried signing out and back in but it still fails. Each time it fails the progress bar starts at 50% and fails. I am on Windows 7 64 bit and the current version of Photoshop I am running seems to be 14.2.1 and Bridge 6.0.1.6 x64. Thanks for any help!

Found the solution by looking up error messages on the forum. Have to delete the AAMUpdater file and then retry the doenload and it worked. Hope it helps someone else!

Audition update fails, unable to extract downlaod files. (U44M1I210)

When I try to update Audition, I get the following error message: "Update Failed Unable to extract the downloaded files. Press Retry to download again (U44M1I210)"
This is on a PC, Windows 7 Pro, 64 bit. I have other CC application installed and they update with no problem (Photoshop, Lightroom, InDesign, Illustrator, Bridge).
I tried updating again, several times, always got the same error. I uninstalled Audition and tried to install it again, but ended up with the same error.

Why does Photoshop CS6 Update fail?

I subscribed to Creative Cloud (CS6) and none of the Photoshop PS6 updates work. Every time I attempt to update PS6 the past four weeks, I get this error message: "Update Failed- Errors encountered during installation.(U44M1P7)." How to fix? My PS6 won't update, and Adobe tech support hasn't been able to help, I've contacted them via CHAT twice. I'm running an iMac with 12GB of RAM, OSX 10.8.4.

In February 2013 I installed CS 6 Design Standard on an iMac 2013 with Fusion Drive running OS 10.8.4 and I've never been able to update.
The updates always fail with this report: There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later. Error Code: U43M1D204.
When you click the customer support link in that message you go to a Creative Cloud page with no useful links.
I am still using CS 6 but I would like to update.

a friend of mine just bought a E540. If he wants to update Windows, it always fails. He gets error code 800F0922, but probably most important is the error message just before it fails. This message is: "Can not find script file C:\ProgramData\Lenovo-1523.vbs". Does anyone know what this means? (Language in image is Dutch)

BB id update failed

how can I update/rectify a BB id that says "there is no compatible blackberry id available at this time?" like that of Tope. I have tried every means but it doesn't seem to be working, I deleted my app world and bbm, security wipe and restored appworld but dame issue keeps reoccuring. Please I need help on this, I would be grateful if someone helps. Thankz.....

Updater always fails on this somewhat locked-down work machine.
