Update failed on mac for photoshop and illustrator

Tried both application manager and downloading from adobe directly. Both failed. Tried rebooting as well.

Hi.
Try to create the new user profile with Admin rights and try reinstall the Adobe Appliation manager first and then try to update the applications again.
I was having same kind of issue that step worked for me.

Hmmm... I'm using JSF but it's my first project so I don't really know it's powers.
I instantiated all classes that will eventually populate the combo box (through reflection) and now I'm trying to find one which of the objects did the user select.

New laptop spec suggestions for Photoshop and Illustrator

Hi Everyone!
As I am sifting through the posts regarding laptops - I figured I'd post my own as my requirements are a little different. I am looking to buy a new windows laptop. I work with Photoshop and Illustrator and basic office programs like outlook, word and excel. I have CS2 but will upgrade with the new laptop purchase - so running CS5.5 (or better) Photoshop and Illustrator is required. I may or may not buy the whole Creative Suite as I only use these and Acrobat. I want to spend what is required to get the job done well - not more - but I don't want to be cheap either – my laptop needs to work well & not hamper my workflow. This will be my only computer. Being efficient is key. I use Adobe to do graphics for apparel: (embroideries, prints, logos, etc.) and small business (logos, print media, etc.). I work in actual size – so a lot of what I do is on a 20 x 30 art board. I do not work on videos – just print media and static artwork. Suggestions on the specs I will need and/or actual laptop models would be great. Thanks so much for your help - it is all so confusing!

Indesign won't install past 42% then says it failed. I downloaded photoshop and illustrator with no issues.

Dededededede I would recommend reviewing your installation log files to determine if the installation or download has failed. If the installation has failed then there will be a specific error within the log which will determine why there was a failure. Problems with pay monthly installments for Photoshop and Illustrator

Every time I open Adobe Illustrator and Phtoshop me that there were problems with the payment of the monthly installments of these two software. But I have checked and everything is in order. So why do these messages? To this day I still have 27 days of time to make the payment otherwise the programs will stop working. I honestly do not understand. Forgive my bad English and if I could have an answer in Italian I'd be grateful! .How do I find the answer? warn me somehow? I just bought Photoshop and Illustrator, but I think I have two Creative Cloud accounts as well?

I didn't mean to get two Cloud accounts and I need to figure out how to get the serial numbers for Photoshop and Illustrator so that I can use them. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. I'm working on a couple of logos, so I could really use the help soon. Thanks!

Does your Cloud subscription show on your account page?

Cloud programs do not use serial numbers... you log in to your paid Cloud account to download & install & activate... you MAY need to log out of the Cloud and restart your computer and log back in to the Cloud for things to work

but for photoshop and illustrator's, i have not got any solution.. will u pls help me???

That code looks like JavaScript. Are you looking to do this in JavaScript? For Photoshop you get a very limited amount of options as to where your script and/or plug-in will show in the menu system. For Filters you can create a submenu in the filter menu. Selection plug-ins go in the Select menu, etc. etc. The enable/disable of the menu item is controlled by your PiPL resource for a Filter. You give Photoshop a static description of when you should and should not be enabled and Photoshop controls the actual enable/disable logic from that description. Again via the PiPL resource.
JavaScripts have a little more flexibility but not much. You can read about the resources you put iniside of a JavaScript (jsx) file to get your script in the File > Scripts, File > Automate, Help, et.al. See the PDF's that are part of your install in the Scripting folder.
I would advise splitting your question up and posting to the Illustrator forum. I'm not sure about the JavaScript interface to menus In Illustrator but the C/C++ interface is much better in Illustrator for adding and controlling menu items.

Swap platform from PC to Mac for photoshop

I tried to swap my platform from PC to Mac for photoshop and deactivated all computer serial codes but I got an email saying I haven't deactivated the serials... now have to wait 14 days again! so annoyed!!!! I just want a phone number to actually call someone.. very disappointed Adobe....

Photoshop and Illustrator updates fail using Adobe Application Manager, why and what can I do?

In the Adobe Application Manager, it says there are updates for both Photoshop and Illustrator. When I click to update, they both downloaded and attempted to install and in the middle of this process, Application Manager shows that the updates fail. After this, upon restart of my Mac–running Lion–Illustrator shows that it's up to date in the Application Manager and Photoshop shows an update is available. Upon trying to re-update Photoshop again, the update fails again and again.
I have updated before a few days ago with no problem, so I don't understand why the updates are failing and why after doing so, now Illustrator shows that it is up to date and Photoshop does not.
Has anyone else had this problem and if so, does anyone know why and what I can do about it?

These would be my suggestions:
Create a new user account with administrative rights, log out of your current account and into that one, launch Adobe Application Manager and attempt the Photoshop update again.

If this fails, uninstall Photoshop (Applications > Utilities > Adobe Installers) and reinstall Photoshop then from Adobe Application Manager the attempt the Photoshop update again, also from the newly created user account.

Photoshop and Illustrator CS6 updates fail

I have subscibed to Creative Cloud and the uodater tells me I have updates to apply to Photoshop and Illustrator CS6. I would like to have these updates as there is no guarantee I shall be able to afford the CC subscription forever. However every time I apply them they fail with error U44M1P7. According to the Adobe help document I need to download the standalone installers; I did this with Illustrator and it failed in exactly the same way. For Photoshop it says apply the update from within Photoshop, but I cannot even do that now as the program crashes on launch.

Run the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool, let the application manager reinstall, try again.

WHatever issues you have are specifuc to your local system, not Adobe. Since you have not provided any shred of useful,technical details such as system info nobody can tell you anything.

The newest version of CS2 is CS5. And it was made very clear that these applications would not run in Lion. Not only by Apple, but on all sorts of communities and websites. It has been a long time coming - PowerPC apps were outdated six years ago. Lion does not support Rosetta, and therefore not PPC apps.
you have to options. Go back to Snow Leopard or upgrade your software. (MS Office 2004 and older will not run either).
