Update flash player several time in a few hours when on facebook

Hello,
I am having to download flash player 10.2.152.32 daily . My browser is eithe window 7 or 8.  Often several times a day. I may only be logged on for 2-4 hours.  I have  windows Vista 2007/ 2 gb memory/ 32 bite.  I play  the games on facebook daily  and  when I  am on the  games  I can tell that it's going down and will soon ask me to update.  It starts to slow down,  pause and freeze and then eventually  the whole screen goes  white except for the letter" i" /w  circle around it.  I log off of FB, go to my desktop  , disable flashplayer and re-update it again.
Low  and behold  another hour  or so passes and I have to repeat the process again.  I am at my wits end as the vast slowness of the games causes me to sit there much longer that I need to .
Do you suggest having someone come out and look at my system?  I am very technologically  un-savvy.  I just want it to work.
Thanks

Hi, I think perhaps a step in the process was missed. Try this method to Uninstall and Install FP again. Right click on that Installer on your Desktop and delete it and use the following.
Download and SAVE to your Desktop the Uninstaller:
http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html
Download and SAVE to your Desktop the Installer for IE- use the EXE Installer
http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/fp_distribution3.html
Close all browser windows, you only want to be looking at your Desktop.
Disable any messenger services, as yahoo, msn, etc in the system tray(area near the clock)
Disable your Anti-Virus program until after Flash Player is Installed
Be sure to use the Administrator Account.
Run the Uninstaller and when finished, Reboot(restart) your computer.
Check to make sure the Anti-Virus is still Disabled
Run the Installer for IE, and when finished, Reboot.
Then go to this test site and test each browser:
http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
You may want to print these instructions to make it easier to follow. If you have any questions, let me know.
See if this works better.

I have downloaded Adobe Flash Player several times and still cannot view videos.  I get the error message "you do not have Adobe Flash Player" and the screen for me to download it.  Please help.

    Hi,
    Try the following.
First, download the Flash uninstall utility on the link below and save it to your Desktop.
    Flash Player Uninstaller.
When the download has completed, close all browser windows and run the uninstaller.  After this has completed, restart the notebook.
Next, ( unless you already have it ), download and install Firefox and then using Firefox, download and install the latest version of Adobe Flash.  Note: You may want to deselect the option to include McAfee Security Scan Plus before downloading.
Close all browser windows before running the Flash installer.
Launch Firefox and see if the videos play Ok in this browser - if they do, close Firefox, open Internet Explorer and click on the same Adobe Flash link above to get a prompt to install the ActiveX component.  When done, restart Internet Explorer.

One of the websites I use gives me this message:

Did you install the correct version of Flash? <br />
IE uses a different version of Flash - ActiveX - than other browsers need - the Plugin version.
1.Download the Flash setup file from here: <br />

Save it to your Desktop.<br />

  • I've tried to download flash player several times onto my iMac, but still can't run any videos.

I have tried downloading and installing Flash Player on my iMac several times.  It goes all the way through the finish screen, but I still can't view videos.  I still get a flyout that says I need Flash Player.  I cannot find Flah Player anywhere on my iMac.  I have looked under Applications, Devices, Documents, and even Utilities.  Nothing.  I do find the installer program, but it only wants to uninstall a Flash Player program that doesn't exist.  Any ideas as to what is going on?

You can check here:  http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/  to see which version you should install for your Mac and OS.
(If you are running Mavericks: After years of fighting malware and exploits facilitated through Adobe's Flash Player, the company is taking advantage of Apple's new App Sandbox feature to restrict malicious code from running outside of Safari in OS X Mavericks.)
You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/909/cpsid_90906.html
and also that you follow the instructions closely, such as closing ALL applications (including Safari) first before installing. You must also carry out a permission repair after installing anything from Adobe.
After installing, reboot your Mac and relaunch Safari, then in Safari Preferences/Security enable ‘Allow Plugins’. If you are running 10.6.8 or later:
When you have installed the latest version of Flash, relaunch Safari and test.
If you're getting a "blocked plug-in" error, then in System Preferences… ▹ Flash Player ▹ Advanced
click Check Now. Quit and relaunch your browser.
You can also try these illustrated instructions from C F McBlob to perform a full "clean install", which will resolve the "Blocked Plug-in" message when trying to update via the GUI updater from Adobe.
Use the FULL installer for 12.0.0.44:  Flash Player 12 (Mac OS X)
And the instructons are here: Snow Leopard Clean Install.pdf

  • Downloaded Flash Player several times and still doesn't work

A week or so ago I got a virus on my computer. I used Malware Bytes to remove it, and I also have
AVG. I run both of these daily, along with the updates, so maybe they're affecting my ability to use Flash. Ever since the virus, my computer keeps telling me I don't have Flash and that I need to download it. I've downloaded it many times now, but it still appears that I don't have it. I check in Internet Explorer Tools and Addons, and it doesn't even seem to show up in there. I'm using Windows 7. I even tried un-installing and re-installing. If I use Firefox, Flash works, but I prefer to use IE. Any help?
    Thanks!

Hi, Sorry for the delay. Downloading that zipfile to your Desktop is only needed if you found that the Kill-bit was set. Following is part of the first message at the Kill-bit site that Pat put up.
open the registry editor: Start | Run | type regedit.exe
    navigate to this registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\ActiveX Compatibility\{D27CDB6E-AE6D-11CF-96B8-444553540000}
if that key does not exist, then the "kill-bit" for Flash Player is not set
if it contains a DWORD entry with the name Compatibility Flags that has any value other than 0x00000000, then the "kill-bit" for Flash Player may be set
Following these instructions you are only "looking", you're not to do anything or change anything yet. You are just looking to see if that Registry Key is there. Like the Step 3 shows, if that Key is not there, then the Kill-bit is not set and you can just close that and you are done.
Do you think you can do that? All you are really doing by clicking on Start, then Run and entering "regedit.exe" in that space that opens up after you click on Run is regedit.exe (don't enter any quotation marks though) All this does is opens the Registry so you can look for that Key.
If that key is there, then let me know. The problem is that if that Kill-bit is set, then no matter what you do, you can't Install that Shockwave Flash Object, ActiveX Control for Flash Player.
    Hope this helps explain it.
    Thanks,

I am still having problems after downloading Adobe Flash Several Time     They keep asking me to download

Who's "they?" Where have you been getting Flash from? Only get it from these two:

Dumb question maybe, but downloading is not the same as installing. Have you installed it after downloading? You need to double-click the dmg.

It allows you to download it offline, which is what I used.

  • After a mac update; flash player asked to be installed.  Install successful but application will not work.

    Hello,
After a Mac update, flash player (along with silverlight) asked to be installed when I tried to watch video content or play games.  I installed flash player and it reports being successful and appears in my applications.  However, I cannot watch videos or play games, every time I am asked to install flash player again and again and again.  I suspect this has something to do with plugins but I am not sure.  I have un-installed the program and reinstalled but it still will not work.  I check my security settings and it does allow plugins.  I erased my temporary internet files.  I don't know what else to do.  Any help would be appreciated!  This is incredibly frustrating.  Thank you

Thank you for responding!  I am using a macbook pro 2011, 2.2ghz, intel
core i7, 16gb - version 10.9.5.   I have not intentionally installed any ad
blocking software; intact I am inundated with it most times.  My online
school work required that I disable pop up blockers and all was well until
an update a few weeks ago for both security and operating system.  To the
best of my knowledge I am allowing pop ups and plugins but this may be
where the trouble is.  I am unsure, honestly of what security is running
besides what I find in the system preference/security tab.  Thank you again
for responding and any help is most appreciated.

  • Script Error when updating Flash Player

I have exhausted the online documentation. This started several months ago. The way that Flash Player updated on my machine changed. I am running XP using IE8. Everytime I try to update Flash Player I get a script error right about the time that the download completes and it is starting to install. The actual script error varies from one attempt to another. The latest error is 'ActionLaunchAdobe' is undefined. Scripting is enabled per the help documents. I have never had to uninstall a previous version before and I'm hesitant to do it now because my current version is 11.4.402.287 and it works. My concern is that if I can't update to new versions eventually there may be problems. I have not made configuration changes to this computer or installed new software for quite a while. The Flash Player update mechanism used to never open a browser window but since I have had this problem that's the first thing it does and takes me to the Flash Player update site. Then the never ending fun begins always ending with a script error and failed install. PLEASE HELP!

If you have "Allow Adobe to install updates (recommended)" selected in your Flash Player control panel (in the Advanced tab), you should be getting our silent auto updates.  The problem appears to be occurring for you when a major update occurs.  You have a couple of options here.  First, you can visit the link below whenever this occurs and download the offline installer files that should work properly.  The second option is to ignore these update notifications and after 30 days we'll install it automatically (and silently.)
