Update for Acrobat 9 Pro Extended and Catia V5 R22

Hello ...
We are using Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro Extended (now at version 9.5.4) at our company for converting CatPart-Files to 3dPDF ...
Now we've got Catia V5 R22 (V5R62012) Files here and the converter can't read them ...
Will there be an update and when ?
Thanks in advance ...
Greetings,
Wolfgang

No.
Adobe stopped all support for 3D file conversion with the introduction of the Acrobat X Family back in 2010. There have been and will be no further updates to the 3D import functionality. The translation engine that used to be in Pro Extended is now sold as a commercial product by Tetra4D, but it's not compatible with Acrobat 9.

  • Unable to install updates for Acrobat Pro 9.0 and MS Office 2008

This is a followup post to a nagging problem last fall that prevented successful installation of product version updates for Acrobat Pro 9.0 and Microsoft Office 2008 running under OS X v10.6.5. Days of fruitless, circular pursuit of solutions from both Adobe and Microsoft tech support provided no recognition of the problem…let alone an answer.
Fortunately, a few helpful techs at a nearby Apple Store yielded results. They were initially as perplexed as their counterparts but it gratified to this customer when each recognized the problem was real and was sufficiently motivated to track down a solution.
By process of elimination it was suggested: i) reinstall the original Snow Leopard 10.6.0 upgrade disk; ii) download the v10.6.5 combo update to bring the OS current; and iii) download and install the Acrobat and Office updates. It worked—perfectly—the first time.
The consensus seems to be that a combination of many successive installations of OS and product version updates eventually produced conflicting instructions resulting in stalemate.
Remarkably, it hasn't been necessary (or appealing) to perform a clean install since some point prior to the introduction of OS X. Nor has it since. A 'rollback' to the original Snow Leopard version with one subsequent update to the current OS version appears to have cleared out a nest of remnant conflicting instructions. Kudos to Apple's tech support and Occam's Razor.

    Hello,
You can download the Acrobat 9 updates manually by following link:
    http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=1&platform=Windows
However, PDF Maker plugin would not be enable in Outlook, as Acrobat 9 is not support with Office 2013.
Please refer to following compatibility chart:
Compatible web browsers and PDFMaker applications
You need to have Acrobat 11 to get PDF maker plugin in Office 2013.

  • How can we get incremental updates for Acrobat Pro 9

We have VLK for Acrobat Pro 9 and the only version that doesn't crash Office 2007 Professional Publisher is 9.4.6.  I can't get just that update to install it jumps from 9.2 to 9.5.  9.5 falls into a loop for prompting for saving information.
    Thanks!

You get the updates by going to http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=1&platform=Windows for Windows. There is a similar page for a MAC.

  • Where is the logfile for Acrobat Pro Extended 9.2 on Windows ? (regarding Microsoft Office 2003)

My installation of Acrobat Pro extended works printing all types of Microsoft Office 2003 documents (Word, Excel, Pagemaker, etc) but NOT with Powerpoint and I'm trying to get more information other than what I'm seeing in Powerpoint when I try to create the PDF which is "an error occurred while trying to print the Adobe PDF"
where would I look for the log file?
    thanks

    RESOLVED!!!
The private data of the DEVMODE data structure may be corrupted when you use raw mode to print a document in a 32-bit application on a computer that is running a 64-bit version of Windows

After installing the above patch, it works like a charm.

  • Where can I find updates for Acrobat Pro 8?

Does anyone know where I can find the update files for Acrobat Pro 8.0? My scanning keeps crashing the program. I know its an old version, but its the only one I've got!
    Thanks!

ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/acrobat/win/. Be sure to install the updates in order. Since the HTML descriptions are gone, it is impossible to tell which ones you can skip. Reboot after the last update.

  • Adobe Updater for Acrobat Pro 9.0 FAILS - how can I update??

My company has about a dozen machines that run Acrobat 9.0 Pro on Windows XP sp3, or Windows 7 sp1.  In the past few months, I've had to reinstall Acrobat 9.0 on these machines for various reasons.  Every single one of them is still at the 9.0 version because Adobe Updater fails to upgrade.  Adobe Updater is trying to download Adobe Acrobat 9.2.0 (CPSID_50026) and fails with "This file cannot be verified"
I've also tried downloading and installing AcroProExUpd910, AcroProStdUpd910_T1T2_incr, AcroProStdUpd910_T3T4_incr, AcrobatUpd920_all_incr, AcrobatUpd930_all_incr, AcrobatUpd940_all_incr, and none of them will install.  They fail with an error a windows installer error indicating that the path to the program may be missing or the upgrade patch may update a different version of the program.
Is there any simple way to fix this so I can update these individual installations???

All of the updates are available at http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=1&platform=Windows. Looks like about 14 updates (lot fewer than all the security updates for Windows though). As I indicated there is a process for combining them into a cummulative update, but that is only something I can mention so that you might look in the old Acrobat forums that is read only and see if it is there. In the enterprise topic they give a link to http://www.adobe.com/go/acrobatitinfo to help in this regard. If you are only doing a few cases, it may not be worth the time to combine, but just put them on a memory stick and go around and install them. Most of them cannot be skipped, but must be installed in order. You should be able to get away with out rebooting between versions and simply wait to the end. That would save a bunch of time.
If the update does not work from the help menu, then the download is your next option as I have indicated. If it works from the help menu it may save you a lot of time, but apparently you are not going to be that lucky.

  • Where can I find updates for Acrobat Pro 9 for Mac?

I have just changed computers, and after installing Acrobat Pro 9 from the disk, I can't find updates anywhere.  All the links to Mac updates only go back to 10.  Also, my Help menu does not contain the traditional "check for updates."
I know there are updates--my current machine (Snow Leopard) shows version 9.5.5.  I have no idea how I did it.
The un-updated Pro 9.0 seems to work fine with Yosemite (new machine), but I'd really like to get it up to date as much as possible.

    Hi Phoenix89MR,
Please download the updates from the FTP location mentioned below.

  • Converting a *.pdf file to a *.stl for Acrobat Pro Extended?

Hi I'm researching Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 Extended and I was wondering if there is a possibility to creat a *.stl file from an Adobe PDF file with 3D embedded objects.
Can anyone shine some light on this?

    Hello,
    Yes it's possible:
    - open a PDF file
    - Activate 3D content
    - Right click on scene then Select Export Data...
    - Select STL format (Setings for the Level Of Detail are available)
    - Browse to a folder then Press OK
    Hope It helps

  • Problems running updater for Acrobat Pro

Since I upgraded to a Windows Vista computer 4 years ago I have had problems running Acrobat Pro Updater. This goes all the way back to v7. The installer always fails with error 1601 'Can't find network path.' I went through all of Adobe's troubleshooting docs. The only method that I found to a solution for the 1601 error that worked was to edit the registry by deleting all MS Office installer entries. Then running the updater. Then reinstalling the registry entries. Not a big deal one time but a pain in the *** over the last couple of years. And not terrifically elegant. After completely unstalling Acrobat Pro and installing new versions and CS Suites several times, the problem remains.
Surely there must be a better way to deal with these updates.

This has been a pattern since I started using a Vista workstation in 2007 with Acrobat 7 Pro and the original CS Suite. I'm now on Acrobat 9.x Pro and CS5. At one point I reverted from Office 2007 to Office 2003 thinking it might make a difference. It did not. So, it would appear that any version of Office and any version of Acrobat have this problem with some Vista installations. This workstation is running all current Vista service packs and patches.

  • Workarounds for Acrobat Pro 10 and Lion?

I couldn't figure out where else to post this...I read somewhere on the Adobe site that Acrobat Pro 10 is not compatible with Lion, and that has been my experience.
Well, it's been my experience with an iMac where I installed Lion over Snow Leopard. It seems to work okay on a new MacBook Pro with factory-installed Lion, at least so far.
Odd, since Mac is so widely used in design/creative industries, but whatever...
My question is this: what have people been doing? I was thinking about uninstalling v10 and re-installing v9 from CS4.
Will that screw up everything else? Especially the Acrobat presets in InDesign CS5.5. I use those all the time. What will the consequences likely be?
Please let me know if there are any other workarounds as well.
    Thanks.

You haven't mentioned what you mean by "not compatibe".
InDesign has it's own PDF generator and does not use Acrobat.
Workarounds for what? What are you trying to do that does not work?

  • What IP address to download updates for Acrobat Pro 9

Our firewall is blocking a lot of websites and I need to update my Adobe Acrobat 9 to get the latest updates.  I am trying to get PDF Maker to work on Outlook 2013 and from what I've researched from a fresh install Acrobat 9 will need to be updated.  Its not letting me update so I know it has something to do with our firewall.  Anyone know the IP address so I can give to our techs? Thanks.

    Hi Mike,
Did you receive a verification email when you subscribed? If not, please check your junk mail folder. You'll want to follow the link in that email to verify your purchase.
Also, make sure that you're signing in with the same Adobe ID and password that you used when signed up.

  • Acrobat Pro Extended 9.3.1 - Can't use "Send for Shared Review"

After the last update for Acrobat Pro Extended, I cannot send RoboHelp PDF generated documents for shared reivew. I used to be able to send draft reviews of the help (in PDF) using our public shared drive. The error indicates: "The filename you specified is not valid because it does not include a .pdf extension, contains one or more invalid characters or the path preceding it refers to a protected system location." I have not changed any of the items mentioned in the error and yet after the last software release update to the 9.3.1, the share review option is not working. Has anyone run into this issue and can help with pointers?

I am surprised the patch allowed you to update from AA9.0.0 to 9.3.1 directly. Almost all patches (updates) for Acrobat are incremental and they must be installed in sequence. I suspect this it true for AA9 also, but I could be wrong.
I suspect it was the jump that is causing the problem. I would suggest you reinstall AA9 (you may have to be careful about activating and deactivating so you do not lose your number of license installs). Once you are back to AA9.0.0, then either use the "Check for Updates" or download all of the updates and install them in order. You may have to reboot after some of the changes. It looks like you have 7 updates to go through. Folks have complained about the updates not being cummulative for years, don't expect things to change.

  • Acrobat Pro Extended 9.0.0 Admin Install Update

    Hello
I am trying to update our deployment of Acrobat Pro Extended 9.0.0 to the latest patch, 9.1.3.
We are not deploying the updates via Group Policy, as our deployment of Acrobat Pro is "on demand", therefore I initially wish to update the administrative installation point.
I feel it important to point out that our software was downloaded from the Adobe Licensing site, and is not copied off any CD/DVD media.
    My basic process here is:
Download the patch files for Acrobat Pro Extended for Windows, from Adobe:
AcroProExUpd910_all_incr.msp (no longer easily found on Update site as downloadable at the time of this post)
    AcrobatUpd911_all_incr.msp
    AcrobatUpd912_all_incr.msp
    AcrobatUpd913_all_incr.msp
Of which, based on the article at http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/498/cpsid_49880.html I understand that:
    9.1.0 is a quarterly update
    9.1.1 is a security update
    9.1.2 is a quarterly update
9.1.3 is a security update (assumed, as it came out in the wake of current security fixes)
Therefore, I think I need to update my AIP to 9.1.0, then to 9.1.2 (acceptable according to the release notes for this patch) and then to 9.1.3, thus completing my task.
My problem comes from running the patches on the AIP.  Normally I use a customised installation, but to rule that out, I am ONLY using the downloaded software - no local customisations applied using the Adobe Customisation Wizard.
Patching the 9.0.0 version to 9.1.0 using msiexec /a Acro3D.msi /p AcroProExUpd910_all_incr.msp WORKS!  Setup completes, no errors.
Patching the 9.1.0 version to 9.1.2 using msiexec /a Acro3D.msi /p AcrobatUpd912_all_incr.msp FAILS!  Setup reports a missing file in the Data1.cab, interop.adobepdfmakerx.dll.  Google search reveals unlikely sources to download this missing file.
Patching cannot continue, as 9.1.2 is a pre-requisite to 9.1.3.  I have the same problem with applying 9.1.1, though the above KB article made me ignore trying to get that to work.
Does anyone have any advice where I am going wrong?
    Thanks!
    UPDATE:
After more digging around, it seems that the 9.1.x updates are only for Pro and Standard, whereas the 9.1 update is explicitally for the Pro Extended product.
All 4 patches will patch an "installed" version of the Acrobat Professional Extended product, however the 9.1.2 update will not patch the administrative installation point, presumably because of the different version (Pro or Standard patch, not Pro Extended patch), resulting in the error of the missing file.
The Adobe Security Bulletin clearly says the patches are available for Standard, Professional and Extended, yet the patches dont seem to work!  This is just nuts!

I ahve a new Acrobat Pro Extebded
    9.0.0 and I am running windows 7. I cant
update anything and when I go into the help menu and select the updates it tells me I am
    not on line etc.
I have tried and downloaded the updates and just cant install as it tells me the programme is missing etc etc.
All I want is a programme that works and i cant be done with all the tech talk as all i am is a user and run programmes that do the job. can any one advice what I can do next with out have to be a programmer.
