I am getting more confused. I have Lion 10.7.5 and thought this would not be susceptible to SSL problem.
I also took Lanny's advice and went to "gotofail.com" and it said I was SAFE.
Can I assume I am OK?
Also,i have an ipod 4g and went to the same gotofail, and it also said I am safe. I have not udated the security patch as do not have sufficient space (need 2.7gig) but someone suggested a go around which I have not tried yet.
I am accessing the net via a Veiizon jet pak, and not using open networks.

Updates for CS6 version 8 (NOT extended)?

I can't find updates for CS6 version 8 (NOT extended). There are issues:
Application Manager needed to be upgraded, done.
When I open the prog and go to Help>Updates it opens my browser to Adobe, not to updates.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the prog.
Same issue persists, mainly when using poly lasso tool. The prog won't let me make a full selection, it jumps and makes it's own selection.
What a plethora of problems!!
Pls be patient with me as I have a broken brain now, and can't follow complicated instructions like I used to. The simpler, the better! Thanks.

Update for iTunes version 11.1.4.62

Once again tried to install new update for iTunes and once again the version would not install. Had an error code of MSVCR80.dll is missing. Another error that stated there was a corrupted file. Doesn't Apple test their updates? Third time this has happened. Usually I can go back to an older version. For some reason after attempting a manual installation, no older version exists and I am wary that uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes will not erase my library. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Is there any upcoming software updates for the version 10.5.8? Also how do I backup my mac?

I really want to update my mac to the new version of Snow Leopard or Lion but to my understanding I must buy the disks to update it. However I feel like buying a macbook pro to my replace my mid-2009 white macbook, once I graduate so I could use it for college (which is 2 years from now and I'm saving up for it).
Also how do I backup my mac (hardrive)? I'm quite lost. I'm told that I must use Time Machine, but how? Do I use a CD to back up? Some external drive and if yes where could I buy one?
P.S. I'm a newbie with tech stuff. I'm no genius with it so I suggest to take it slow with me. PLUS there's no Apple Store here to help me out.

To upgrade your iLife and iWork. If you only want iPhoto or other single apps from iLife '11 you can get them from the App Store after you've upgraded to 10.6.6. iPhoto, iMovie or Garage Band for $15 each and Pages, Keynote or Numbers from iWork '09 for $20 each.

Once you are at 10.6.8 you can buy Lion for $29 from the App Store. Lion will require at least 2gb of RAM but really needs 4gb to run smoothly. Before Mac switched to Intel processors they used Power PC processors from 1994 to 2005. Power PC 601 through 604, G3, G4 and G5. Applications written for the Power PC processors need the application called Rosetta to run on Intel processors. This was part of the Operating System in 10.4 and 10.5 but was an optional install in 10.6. With 10.7 Lion Apple dropped all support for Power PC applications.

The last map update I had for my Nokia 808 is from back in April of this year.
Is Nokia no longer providing map updates for the Symbian version of Nokia Maps/Drive software?
This would be VERY disappointing if so.

I just dropped $550 on a Nokia 808 Pureview, with the assumption that I will have good GPS software...

As far as I know, no. I don't believe that the US/English version was patched.

Live Update 2 BIOS version

Has anyone tried updating the BIOS on the Neo FIS2R via Live Update 2 lately? Is it still v1.2 or the new v1.4? And, did everything run okay during & after the update? Thanks!

Richard - Good news ... I finally have Windows recognizing all 128MB of video memory.
Some body - I tried reinstalling mobo drivers and couldn't get it to work.
AGP aperature is set to 64MB at the moment and it is working.
It seems to me that something got corrupted in Windows and the registry was loading the nvidia drivers along with the msi drivers. Also I found entries in the registry referring to my previous video card and I don't know if that contributed to the problem also.
I ended up doing a clean install of the OS and it is working at the moment. I check the adapter properties as I install software to see if there is something I'm installing that screws it up again. So far so good.
For anyone that is interested, here is what I did exactly:
1. Format HD
2, Install Windows XP Pro with SP1
3. Intel chipset inf
4. Intel application accelerator
5. Downloaded/installed all updates available at Windows Update website (excluding drivers)
6. Install Nvidia 43.45 drivers
7. Install other device drivers
8. Install software.
I'm still need to install the remaining software, but at this time it looks like the problem is fixed.

Thanks for the input however I disagree. All security exploits should be exposed except under certain conditions. Reading below, I do not believe it meets these conditions. This is what I found. I would like to know what has been changed in case a security flaw affected my data etc. To me it looks like they just don't want rollbacks of firmware as there was a security flaw in a previous firmware?
- If the UEFI BIOS has been updated to version 2.29 or higher, it is no longer
able to roll back to the version before 2.29 for security improvement.

Bios update failure - bios image needed - lenovo S10-3

i`m in big trouble now
I just have reinstalled win7 and thought that i have to install the driver AND to do a bios update. I dont know why, but now my netbook can't start up (display is off, blackscreen).
Now i read some threads how to recover the bios, BUT i dont have a bios image (oh god, i am so stupid...).
Is there any possibility to solve this problem? Maybe by getting a bios image from a other S10-3 user?
Btw, my lenovo has the Atom N550, 1GB DDR3 Ram.
Please help me. I am thankful for any advice.
