Update for E61 code 0537110

Hi everybody,
I have E61 code 0537110, firmware 1.6xxx... and newest NSU installed on my PC. But NSU says everytime, that there is no update for my E61 (but everybody talk about 2.xx... firmware). My E61 is operator unbranded phone. Anybody can help me? Nokia service did not answer my emails :-( Thank you.

from my experience with trying to obtain support for my nokia e61 product code 0538289 ,, support is non existant as far as i can see.
they market the e61 as a business product, and yet fail to respond to support requests for this product..
i bought my e61 back in oct, and still no software updates
i suggest that you look at other alternative products,
i have taken the decision after spending the last number of weeks trying to find out when the latest firmware would be available for my e61, to no longer use nokia products...
if they fail to answer your support queries, vote with your wallet and stop buying their products...
look at all the people on here with same issues on n73, n93 etc etc the list is endless.
they are releasing products too quickly, with too many bugs,
and not releasing bug fixes quickly enough.
my emails to nokia have been deleted without being read,
as i have received email delivery notifications to indicate so.
my e61 wont update
firmware version 1.0610.04.04
nokia when will i be able to update to version 2.0XXXX online?

Now the wierd part... i formatted my phone with the settings-phone management-delete data and restore option........ and then searched for the software update again.... and this time it showed me an phone update available and asked me to connect via USB.... but when the ovi Suite/ Nokia Suite searches for an update.... all it gets is Galaxy and Real Golf.....
I need Symbian Belle and not those games.....

If its your first time, do a test run in sandbox.
Added
The above will flag the deletion flag. Then you will have to do a archival. To know the steps, just do a search in this forum or MM forum, you will get a step by step procedure.

E71 - No firmware updates for product code 0569116...

I'v had an E71 for three months already. In this time two firmware updates have been released for the E71 (in general) but not for my specific product code. It cannot be a regional thing as other E71's in same region as me have gotten the most recent updates.
Also, network operator says it is not with them but that firmware needs to be released by Nokia.
This makes me very unhappy. Had the N73 before and frequently got the firmware updates.

Thats how I understand the process to work as well, but it seems this is not the view of the operator (Vodacom, btw also South African)

Vodacom phones are not being updated but MTN phones are, though from what is written, it seems that Nokia themselves are unsure, first stating the firmware is only for european models, though unable to comment on why other South African model (MTN ones) are in fact being updated. At the very least, it seems that there is no version for Vodacom to test/release yet.

App Store not showing available update (for X-Code)

Hello,
I regularly check if there are update's for the applications I've purchased and downloaded from the Mac App Store.
So also yesterday.
Result: "all applications are up to date / no updates available".
I have Apple's X-Code installed. Version 4.2.1.
As I browsed the App Store and clicked on X-Code, I saw that the current version was 4.3.3.
Anyone an idea why the App Store said all my applications where up to date where that wasn't the case?
Do I have to check each installed application manually to be sure I have the latest update?

If you downloaded Xcode from the App Store the update should have been available but there is a work around for this.
Download this free utility to uninstall Xcode and all the associated files > Download AppCleaner for Mac
Then launch AppCleaner. Then drag the Xcode app from the Applications folder to the AppCleaner window. Delete all the associated files listed in that window.
Now go to the App Store and re download the app. That will install the latest 4.3.3 version.
How to re download apps from the Mac App Store:
Open the App Store. From the menu bar click Store > Sign In
Click Purchases from the top of the App Store window.
Select which apps you want to re download. Then right or control click where you see Installed then click Install.
Make sure and use the same Apple ID used for the original download.

Not sim locked. Model: E61-1 Silver Type: RM-89 Code: 0536312 Shipped F/W: 1.0610.04.04 19/4/06
Others I have spoken to in OZ with the same code also have this problem. Of course on registering my issue direct with Nokia they suggested the solution was to take my handset into a Nokia Care Centre for the firmware update. Anyone see the irony in that answer :-) ..Petar

The GENERIC-firmware of the E61 is updated; this doesn't mean that the Operator-variants, i.e. Vodafone & T-Mobile, updated THEIR firmwares as well . . .
Nokia Software Uploader looks for the Production-Code of your GSM, and installs the update accordingly. If NSU says "Your phone is already up-to-date", than there's NO UPDATE for your specific production-code!
With NSU, you can NEVER change your Operator-Firmware to the GENERIC Nokia one!

Sometimes the Adobe servers used for the updates can get busy and it’s necessary to try a couple of times. Also make sure you don’t have a firewall which may be blocking the connection. It sometimes helps to temporarily disable internet security/anti-virus software. Because the Organizer is shared by both programs it often helps to do the PSE update first, followed by the PRE update in that order.
Select the 12.1 update for PSE from the updater dialog and ensure everything else is unchecked. Quit PSE and PRE if you have it running and then start the update.
If PSE updates properly to 12.1 repeat the process for PRE.

Signed up for free software download of Lion, I got the code to redeem it on the App Store but lost the code, how can I retrieve it to get the software update for free?

I bought my new Macbook on July 23, so that qualified me for the free Lion software update. I entered in all my info and then accidently clicked out of the screen before I wrote down the code to redeem it. I tried to do it again but of course it said my system had already been issued a redeem code. Is there a way I can get it back so I can get the update for free?
