Update for RDP 8.1 Windows 7 SP1 changed explorer right click context menu

I have a 4 pcs and 3 nas drive on my network. previous to the update I could view my pcs and nas drives in explorers right pane left click one and access the folders on it. since the update I can no longer do this because "remotedesktopconnection"
has been added as the default (previously it was "open") to the right click context menu. can someone help me change this back so when I right click a network computer icon in explorer I only see:
open
AND NOT                              remotedesktop
open in a new window                                                                                       open
create shortcut                                                                                                 open
in a new window
                                                                                                                       create
shortcut

Theoretically it could be done by modify registry. For example you could
modify right click menu on .exe file by changing values under
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\exefile\shellex\
However there are some problems that I cannot define that what kind of “file”
the network computer is.
And I found no article specific to this.
If you really need to restore your context menu and also need this update, I
suggest you uninstall this update first. Then back up your registry, install it
again. This time using process monitor you could record all registry modifications during
this update installation. It might take lots of work.
I tried to do that for you, unfortunately this update has been deployed in our environment which cannot be uninstalled from update history.

Right click context menu does not appear only for Java 1.7, AWT TextField

I have been debugging some issues that an application has been having with Java 1.7 versus older versions. A new problem I have encountered is that the right click context menu does not function in any TextField. It works fine when running/compiling it with any previous version of Java. I have tried coding a simple test with a Frame, Panel and TextField to see if it might be something else in the more complex application that was causing it, but the simple test class has the same problem.
I have searched for other people having the same issue, but I have not found anything comparable. This seems like a huge change from one version to the next and I am surprised that I am not finding this mentioned anywhere else. Can someone point me to anything that discusses this issue that I am having? Does 1.7 require I implement my own context menu? I realize AWT is old technology, but this is an old, fairly complex application that doesn't use swing, and that is not going to change at this point.
My simple test:

In the past few days since upgrading to 4.0.4, the entire right-click context menu for links is gone and replaced with one item: "Copy Link" The "Open In New Tab" item, along with some other context items, is no longer there.
That's actually a problem with your particular installation of Safari, b. I've got all the contextual menu entries with my 4.0.4.

Yes, it is possible to customize the context menu in Outlook. See
Customizing Context Menus in Office 2010 for more information.
But VBA doesn't allow to customize the Fluent UI in Outlook, you need to develop an add-in instead.

Running Windows 7 Home Premium, Firefox 7.0.1, File/Print won't work (doesn't open print dialog box) nor does control+ p nor will right click context menu ever highlight Print selection option after selecting part of a page, ie no printing whatsoever.

A way to change right click contextual menu?

Is there a way to change the right click contextual menu, so the first item is open in tabs? I use tabs more than windows, and in Chrome, the tabs option is 1st and not 2nd.

The logic is wrong. Go into Network Magic Options. On the General Tab, make sure that the following are not checked:
Do not add Network Magic Folders icon to Open/Save dialogs
Do not add commands to Explorer shortcut menus
Click OK and reboot the computer and see if gone.

I have been updating my PSE since 10. Recently I purchased PSE13 as I didn't see an update for my 12. I was changing to a new laptop as my old laptop had been patched and worked and was showing signs of giving out. It was a Window's 7OS. My new one is a Windows 8 OS so I bought the 13 and downloaded it on the new laptop. Our desktop had died so I downloaded the 13 on the new desk computer also. Not thinking I downloaded 13 on my old laptop as I hope to get it patched up enough to be a backup for my photography. When I tried to activate it I realized that I had downloaded it too often. I didn't know you could only use it on two computers. Learn something new every day.. Any way I removed it and now my PSE 12 does not seem to be working. Now it could be something that I did or something that is an issue with the laptop. this laptop has all the previous editions on board as I always tried to update, except for the year I got a really good deal on Black Friday. I also notice that the new laptop has a copy of PSE 12 in the program list. To my knowledge I have never deactivated any of my PSE's except the extra 13 downloaded. Bottom line, do I need to go in and deactivate previous PSE versions and removed them from my computer? I could certainly use the space and secondly, can I deactivate the PSE 12 and then go back and reacitivate it and install it again on the old laptop or the desktop, whichever I deside would be the most appropriate place for the newer program. For the PSE 12 since it is an updater for 11, does the 11 still need to be on the laptop? thanks for anyone who can understand what I am trying to say and can advise me as to my next move. You're off the hook, Apple, and my apologies for stating that you let a dog run loose. You skated by this time, Apple. But I'm watching you.
But again, Putaro's reference to the plugins I had installed over the years turned out to illuminate the problem. I have several plugins in my iTunes plugins folder, pretty much all designed to add more visualizer functionality. I removed all of them, and ALL of the problems I noted in my post went away, with full iTunes functionality restored.
I began adding the plugins back to hopefully single out the culprit. Among the ones I had been using included fielder, G-Force, Timestrech, volcanokit, QuartzComposer, and Jax. I hadn't used any of them in a while - probably at least a verison or more back in iTunes updates, but iTunes continued to work with all of them installed. Currently, only QuartzComposer continues to work in iTunes 10.4. The rest no longer even show up as visualizer opitons, with one exception. Jax does show up, but does not work. AND THE PRESENCE OF JAX IS WHAT KILLED MY ITUNES.
I looked into it and went back to the developer, and it appears that they discontinued developing Jax some time ago - evidently, it was buggy and crash prone. I remember after buying it, having problems with it - having never worked to its touted potential, but I didn't pursue it, and never uninstalled it. Leaving it in there caused all iTunes functionality to cease with the iTunes 10.4 update.
If you've got Jax installed, consider removing it before updating to iTunes 10.4.
My iTunes is now working right as rain, thanks again to Putaro!

my default printer. With Reader X windows waits patiently for me to close Reader before printing each file.

I am also getting exactly the same problem, highlighting multiple pdf files right clicking and choosing "print" prints the first document, fails to close the adobe x window and sits there patiently untill it's manualy closed and then the next document prints - repeat - loop.
Have this happening on just about every windows xp machine in the office that I try it on and any and all versions of "Adobe X" that I care to install.
would love a fix for this, reinstalling 9 manually on every PC would waste a day of my life.

Update for LR 5.7 Windows

LR notified me when I started it up today that there is an update available. I clicked on the link -- and it took me to a general LR page. Options were Trial or Buy now, etc. Nothing indicating update for existing software. What do I do? Download the full package? My details are:

License type: Perpetual
Operating system: Windows 7 Home Premium Edition

Somehow, I found an Updates page awhile ago and installed that, but I can't find it again. This is NOT very friendly....

The "update" that is being referred to is actually an "upgrade", which means you have to pay for it (or try the 30-day free trial and then pay for it).
You can upgrade to Lightroom 6 (no Creative Cloud) at Products (scroll down to Lightroom 6)

There is no separate 32-bit/64-bit installers. Flash Player will automatically install both editions on a 64-bit system.

How do I change the order of context menu items in Private Windows?

In the context menu that appears when I right-click on a link, I prefer to have "Open Link in New Window" at the top of the menu instead of "Open Link in New Tab". I have added code to userChrome.css to make that switch:

Firefox version 20 added Private Browsing Windows. The above code still works for the non-Private windows, but doesn't affect the Private Windows, so in those I still have "Open Link in New Tab" at the top of the context menu, and "Open Link in New Private Window" as the second item. Is there a way to change the order of these menu items in Private Windows?

There is a security update for Firefox (Firefox 10.0.2) which you should apply. Unfortunately, it looks as if the updater on your Firefox is messing up somehow.
The easiest way to work around this and get you secure is to go to [http://www.getfirefox.com www.getfirefox.com], and download the latest version of Firefox there. After it downloads, go ahead and run the installer over your current Firefox. None of your settings will be changed, but it will apply the security fix, and you will be all good to go!
