Update gap - 4.0.3 to 4.1

After recently getting broadband, I can finally update all my software. I have been able to upgrade my 4.0.0 DSP to 4.0.3 although am unable to find an upgrade to take me from here to 4.1 (to then go onto 4.1.2).
I have looked high and low for the update to bridge the gap but can't find it. If anyone knows where I can get an update to take me from 4.0.3 to 4.1 please let me know as it would be greatly appreciated.

• ITunes 7:  updates library and "gap" everytime I start iTunes

Okay, this is absurd. I just upgraded (I used the term loosely) from iTunes 6 to 7.
Now, everytime I open iTunes, I have to wait for: 1) the iTunes music library to update, and 2) iTunes to check the gap between songs. As I operate on a network, with the music files on a netword drive, this process takes HOURS for my library to update 4,000 songs and thier "gap."
Can I turn this "feature" off ?

I'm still looking at this issue. I have several computers, and one, I downgraded to 6.0.5 and it seems stable.

Dear Professionals,
<i>I did the following;</i>
Created a Skill
Assigned to Employee with Minimum Level
Assigned to Position as required skill with expert level
When I running GAP analysis it's showing as GAP
Created a Business Type
Maintained relationship IMPART for the above created skill
Maintained Procedure for qualification transfer
Create Business Event
Book Employees and Firmly Booked
<i><b>But still Skill is not reflecting in employee’s qualification...</b></i>
Kindly advice if I need to do anything more
Thanks in Advance

• Installation and updating of Adobe Reader 11 on completely offline, air gapped PCs?

Is it possible to install Adobe Reader 11 on a PC that does not have Internet access (and never will have Internet access, even for a brief moment, for security reasons)?  I understand that Adobe no longer sells software on media such as DVDs, so I would expect to download it on a computer with Internet access, then transfer it via sneakernet to the computer without Internet access, and install it there.
If it is possible to install Reader on an air gapped PC, is it possible to perform a minor (bug fix or security) update of Reader (say from 11.0.07 to 11.0.08) by downloading the update on a different PC, transferring it to the PC without Internet access, and then installing the update there?
After having successfully installed Reader on an air gapped PC, will it run indefinitely without ever having an Internet connection?  (In other words, will it need to check in with an Adobe server once every 60 days, and if it can't, will it stop working, or anything like that?)
Can someone point me to official, documented answers to these questions on the Adobe website to make sure there's no misunderstandings or subtle gotchas?
Thanks!

Here you can get the links to the update patches: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=10&platform=Windows
I suggest that you disable update checking completely on the offline computer.

• I'm on ff 3.5.5 for Mac. I've been prompted twice to download latest version. Each time I have dragged the ff icon from applications folder to the dock and all seems ok. But next time I start ff it says I'm on 3.5.5 and should update to latest version!

There was no "update failed" message
I wonder whether I'm doing the right thing when I drag to the dock. There's only one ff icon in the applications folder. The first time I was prompted to update it showed that days date next to the icon as if the update was successful. The second time was a few days later but I think it was still the same date next to the icon (25/8/10) I've only just noticed that (on 10/9/10) so can't be sure but I'm sure the second time was around 2nd or 3rd of Sept.
Also, I am running two versions of ff- one is english, the other is the Italian version. They can't be opened at the same time but they seem to talk to eachother in the background, so to speak, because when I open one after a long gap, it opens with all the history and settings of the other one, right up to the last website I went to. I think I closed both when updating because it prompts you to close all programmes and restart (I think/ remember) so I just clicked ok to that prompt.
By the way, I got the prompt to update twice for ''BOTH'' the Italian and the English version- so 4 times altogether so it would seem that ff does recognise them as separate but still has problems concluding the update for each separate one respectively.
Thank you very much if you can help.

Download a new copy of the Firefox program: http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html
Trash the current Firefox application to do a clean reinstall.

• How can you change the Itunes library? I updated it, and chose the wrong library, and now I can't change it helppppppp pleasee!!! D: ;(

This *****! I updated my Itunes, and it asked me to choose a library, and I chose the wrong one, and now I can't change it. What am I supposed to do now?

Firstly, I caution your approach to allow users to alter the orientation of the report. Crystal Reports doesn't adapt too well when the orientation is modified. You'll end up with fields dropped off on the right hand side of the report, or with a large gap on the right. Our engine doesn't do any auto adjusting of fields when you alter the orientation.
In order to see the changes it is best to re-load the page and get a new viewer. You can choose to store the ParameterFields in a Session variable for re-use on the post back so your users aren't re-prompted for values.

• Strange gaps in Header and Footer

Im getting gaps in the header and footer on some of my pages.  Sometimes the gaps are filled with the background color of the colomn and other times they are the body color which is even weirder.  An example link would be http://www.mojogar.com/pcRepair.aspx .  In IE8 I get a gap on top but not  the bottom.  In Firefox3 the gap is on the bottom and not the top.  ???

/* Tips for this Hybrid layout
1. Since the side columns em-based sizing is based on the user's default font size, you will want to be sure that background graphics in the columns take that into account. Built correctly, this is more accessible for those that need larger font sizes, since the width of the columns remains proportionate. If this is undesirable with your design, simply change the width to a pixel size and be sure to change the margins on the #mainContent div accordingly.
2. Since the sizing of side columns in this layout are based on the 100% font size in the body element, if you decrease the text size overall by using a font-size: 80% on the body element or the #container, remember that the column widths will downsize proportionately. You may want to increase their widths, and the size of the #mainContent div's side margins, to compensate for this.
3. If font sizing is changed in differing amounts on each div instead of on the overall design (ie: #sidebar1 is given a 70% font size and #mainContent is given an 85% font size), this will proportionately change each of the divs overall size. You may want to adjust based on your final font sizing.
4. The #container div is not necessary for this layout at the 100% width. You may want to use it to create faux columns or limit the width of the layout.
5. It is not neccessary to have the 100% width on the #container div since, by nature, a div takes up 100% of the available space. It is here so that if you want to decrease the size of the overall container - perhaps leaving a bit of margin on each side - this will already be available for adjustment.
.thrColHybHdr #container {
width: 780px;
/*margin: 0 auto;  the auto margins (in conjunction with a width) center the page if needed */
text-align: left;
padding: 0px;
margin-top: 0px;
margin-right: auto;
margin-bottom: 0px;
margin-left: auto;
.thrColHybHdr #header {
background-color: #C9F76F;
height: 100%;
width: 780px;
margin: 0px;
padding: 0px;
.thrColHybHdr #header h1 {
margin: 0;
padding: 0px;
/* Tips for sidebar1:
1. Be aware that if you set a font-size value on this div, the overall width of the div will be adjusted accordingly.
2. Since we are working in ems, it's best not to use padding on the sidebar itself. It will be added to the width for standards compliant browsers creating an unknown actual width.
3. Space between the side of the div and the elements within it can be created by placing a left and right margin on those elements as seen in the ".thrColHybHdr #sidebar1 p" rule.
.thrColHybHdr #sidebar1 {
width: 13em;
border-top-width: thick;
border-top-style: solid;
border-top-color: #C06;
float: left;
height: auto;
.thrColHybHdr #sidebar2 {
width: 200px;
text-align: center;
margin: 0px;
padding: 0px;
float: right;
/*.thrColHybHdr #sidebar1 h3, .thrColHybHdr #sidebar1 p, .thrColHybHdr #sidebar2 p, .thrColHybHdr #sidebar2 h3 {
margin-left: 0px;*/ /* the left and right margin should be given to every element that will be placed in the side columns */
/* margin-right: 0px;
/* Tips for mainContent:
1. If you give this #mainContent div a font-size value different than the #sidebar1 div, the margins of the #mainContent div will be based on its font-size and the width of the #sidebar1 div will be based on its font-size. You may wish to adjust the values of these divs.
2. The space between the mainContent and sidebar1 is created with the left margin on the mainContent div.  No matter how much content the sidebar1 div contains, the column space will remain. You can remove this left margin if you want the #mainContent div's text to fill the #sidebar1 space when the content in #sidebar1 ends.
3. To avoid float drop, you may need to test to determine the approximate maximum image/element size since this layout is based on the user's font sizing combined with the values you set. However, if the user has their browser font size set lower than normal, less space will be available in the #mainContent div than you may see on testing.
4. In the Internet Explorer Conditional Comment below, the zoom property is used to give the mainContent "hasLayout." This avoids several IE-specific bugs that may occur.
.thrColHybHdr #mainContent {
text-align: center;

• I'm not updating to FF5 because I'll lose my GoogleToolBar. What are your plans ?

When I try to update to Firefox 5 (seriously recommended by Mozilla) I receive the message that my GoogleToolBar is not compatible and will be disabled. Such an action will let me lost in the browser. I don't have the option to export it to Chrome, because Chrome does not support Google own creation, the ToolBar.
Do you have any plans in the near future to restore GoogleToolBar. Some years ago I lost the Yahoo! toolbar with Firefox.
Or is there a way to export all the information to any other bar you are supporting now?
Thanks.

You can try this process to see if there is any debris that is stuck under the screen edge.
Take a business card or folded piece of paper. Stick it in the gap between the edge of the screen and the case. Move around the perimeter of the screen and see if you can get out any debris.
If that doesn't work, the digitizer on the device is probably defective and needs replaced.
You can contact Palm for repair or find replacement parts at pdaparts.com or usedpdaparts.com.
If you have not been synch'ing your HH to your PC on a regular basis for backup purposes, you may lose your data. You could try to replace the digitizer your self without losing the data.
For reference purposes, click on the following link for the support page for your device on the kb.hpwebos.com webpage.

There are links on the page to the user guide, troubleshooting, how to's, downloads, etc.

• Network problems after update; system reinstall not fixing it.

Hello, first post here ^^
Sorry if I write with a bit of engrish. I'm very tired ^^"
My brother's laptop, a Portuguese Classmate PC (aka "Magalhães", version MG2 -- unfortunately, I can't find the corresponding international version, but have a picture) doesn't has any network at all, be it wired or wireless, with the updates of 3/August/2011 installed. I think the problem is udev.
I have no problems when using an installation media, at least for wired network.
Even after reinstalling, I still have no network.
Wired
The problem with wired, is that the eth0 interface is gone. Have tried network and NetworkManager, and it's just gone. In the output of ifconfig I only have the loopback interface (and would have wlan0, if I had the firmware for the wireless card installed).
Wired problem solved! Sorry, I actually searched the Internet for a solution and couldn't find anything useful, and only now noticed there's already a thread here about it. I should have searched this forum, instead of the Internet... sorry!
Wireless
Previously, I only had to install the rtl8192se chipset drivers from AUR.
But now, with the latest updates, the kernel (or the udev, I don't know which it is)was constantly giving me errors through tty, regarding to wifi. It could scan for networks, but not connect. I have tried with WPA and no security, result was the same.

I've tried googling and searching various forums, but it seems like a problem that was just created with the new version. I have no clue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have another odd issue that's come up.  In my network section, it shows all the up/down speeds, ip, and such.  Then at the bottom is shows "Network Unavailable", while at the same time obviously showing the network up and running.  I have a section that gives me a weather report, and it has something similar.  Could be related to the endif error being reported?  Some if statment not working right?
Pertinent .conkyrc section:

• Delete and close gap problem

I have 2 project s  on 1 [delete and close gap] no work why?    on  premiere element 12

djvalente
What computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 12 running on? Have you updated 12 to the 12.1 Update using an opened project's Help Menu/Update? If not, please do so.
For your immediate issue...
Whether or not the command Delete and Close Gap works is typically dependent on the content above and below the
spot where you want to delete and close gap. Manual closing of the gap (with care) with the mouse cursor may be your way.
Please review the following details on how the Delete and Close Gap command can fail.
ATR Premiere Elements Troubleshooting: PE: Delete and Close Gap Failures
If you have any questions or need clarification, please do not hesitate to ask.
Thank you.

• Insert not working in updatable report

I have created an updatable report using the htmldb_item function with the facility to display an extra row (in order to create a new row).
I have then created a Create button that branches to the same page as the updatable reportn and a Branch.
I then created an after submit process that makes the insert of the data.
But apparently the process is not fired when I click the create button.
How do I have to do to fire a Submit on the page in order for my process to be run?
Thanks.

Just to amplify MtD's explanation, if you start to move a SINGLE clip and THEN hold down the Option key, the arrow will change form so that it has a 90 degree bend in it.  Then when you release the clip in a new position by letting go of the mouse button, not only will it "insert" into the timeline at that position, but the gap in the timeline (where you pulled it from) will close.
It's really helpful when you are rearranging sound bites and don't want to have to manually close up the holes in the timeline.  Unfortunately this only works when you are grabbing a single clip.  If you do it with multiple clips it will still insert, but will leave an open hole in the timeline where you pulled the group from.  Having Snapping (N) turned on is very helpful for this operation, by the way.

• Multiple (updatable) details in the same page.

Hello,
I tried to put two updatable details in the same page and got the error
"Updatable SQL Query already exists on page 11. You can only add one updatable SQL query per page. Select a different page"
So having more than one updatable detail is not allowed in apex ?
I have a master table with three details. Should I create one page for each one of them ?
Thanks in advance
Bye
Nicola

What you want to use are called collections. Here is a simple collection example:
The process goes in 4 steps: gather the data, display the data, update based on user input, then write the changes. Each step requires it's own piece of code, but you can extend this out as far as you want. I have a complex form that has no less than a master table and 4 children I write to based on user input, so this can get as complex as you need. Let me know if anything doesn't make sense.
First, create the basic dataset you are going to work with. This usually includes existing data + empty rows for input. Create a Procedure that fires BEFORE HEADER or AFTER HEADER but definitely BEFORE the first region.

      end loop;
END;Now I have a collection populated with rows I can use. In this example I have 2 NUMBERS, a TEXT value, and a DATE value stored as text. Collections can't store DATE datatypes, so you have to cast it to text and play with it that way. The reason is because the user is going to see and manipulate text - not a DATE datatype. If you are using this as part of a master/detail form, make sure that your SQL to grab the detail is limited to just the related data.
Now build the form/report region so your users can see/manipulate the data. Here is a sample query:
SELECT rownum, apex_item.hidden(1, c001),  --Key ID
         apex_item.text(2, c002, 8, 8) VALUE1,
         apex_item.text(3, c003, 3, 3) VALUE2,
         apex_item.text(4, c004, 8, 8) VALUE3,
         apex_item.date_popup(5, null,c005,'MMDDYYYY',10,10) MY_DATE
FROM APEX_COLLECTIONS
WHERE COLLECTION_NAME = 'MY_COLLECTION'This will be a report just like an SQL report - you're just pulling the data from the collection. You can still apply the nice formatting, naming, sorting, etc. of a standard report. In the report the user will have 3 "text" values and one Date with Date Picker. You can change the format, just make sure to change it in all four procedures.
What is critical to note here are the numbers that come right before the column names. These numbers become identifiers in the array used to capture the data. What APEX does is creates an array of up to 50 items it designates as F01-F50. The F is static, but the number following it corresponds to the number in your report declaration above, ie, F01 will contain the primary key value, F02 will contain the first numeric value, etc. While not strictly necessary, it is good practice to assign these values so you don't have to guess.
One more note: I try to align the c00x values from the columns in the collection with the F0X values in the array to keep myself straight, but they are separate values that do NOT have to match. If you have an application you think might get expanded on, you can leave gaps wherever you want. Keep in mind, however, that you only have 50 array columns to use for data input. That's the limit of the F0X array even though a collection may have up to 1000 values.
Now you need a way to capture user input. I like to create this as a BEFORE COMPUTATIONS/VALIDATIONS procedure that way the user can see what they changed (even if it is wrong). Use the Validations to catch mistakes.
declare
      j pls_integer := 0;
begin
for j1 in (
      select seq_id from apex_collections
      where collection_name = 'MY_COLLECTION'
      order by seq_id) loop
      j := j+1;
      --VAL1 (number)
      apex_collection.update_member_attribute (p_collection_name=> 'MY_COLLECTION',
          p_seq=> j1.seq_id,p_attr_number =>2,p_attr_value=>wwv_flow.g_f02(j));
      --VAL2 (number)
      apex_collection.update_member_attribute (p_collection_name=> 'MY_COLLECTION',
          p_seq=> j1.seq_id,p_attr_number =>3,p_attr_value=>wwv_flow.g_f03(j));
      --VAL3 (text)
      apex_collection.update_member_attribute (p_collection_name=> 'MY_COLLECTION',
          p_seq=> j1.seq_id,p_attr_number =>4,p_attr_value=>wwv_flow.g_f04(j));
      --VAL4 (Date)
      apex_collection.update_member_attribute (p_collection_name=> 'MY_COLLECTION',
          p_seq=> j1.seq_id,p_attr_number =>5,p_attr_value=>wwv_flow.g_f05(j));
end loop;
end;Clear as mud? Walk through it slowly. The syntax tells APEX which Collection (p_collection_name), then which row (p_seq), then which column/attribute (p_attr_number) to update with which value (wwv_flow.g_f0X(j)). The attribute number is the column number from the collection without the "c" in front (ie c004 in the collection = attribute 4).
The last one is your procedure to write the changes to the Database. This one should be a procedure that fires AFTER COMPUTATIONS AND VALIDATIONS. It uses that hidden KEY value to determine whether the row exists and needs to be updated, or new and needs to be inserted.
declare
begin
      --Get records from Collection
      for y in (select TO_NUMBER(c001) x_key, TO_NUMBER(c002) x_1,
                 TO_NUMBER(c003) x_2,
                 c004 x_3,
                 TO_DATE(c005,'MMDDYYYY') x_dt
               FROM APEX_COLLECTIONS
               WHERE COLLECTION_NAME = 'MY_COLLECTION') loop
        if y.x_key = 0 then  --New record
            insert into MY_TABLE (KEY_ID, COL1,
                COL2, COL3, COL4, COL5)
              values (SEQ_MY_TABLE.nextval, y.x_1,
                  y.x_2, y.x_3, y.x_4, y.x_dt);
        elsif y.x_key > 0 then  --Existing record
            update MY_TABLE set COL1=y.x_1, COL2=y.x_2,
                 COL3=y.x_3, COL4=y.x_4, COL5=y.x_dt
             where KEY_ID = y.x_key;
        else
          --THROW ERROR CONDITION
        end if;
      end loop;
end;Now I usually include something to distinguish the empty new rows from the full new rows, but for simplicity I'm not including it here.
Anyway, this works very well and allows me complete control over what I display on the screen and where all the data goes. I suggest using the APEX forms where you can, but for complex situations, this works nicely. Let me know if you need further clarifications.

Any ideas?

Hi,
0x8024402C WU_E_PT_WINHTTP_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED
Winhttp SendRequest/ReceiveResponse failed with 0x2ee7 error. Either the proxy server or target server name cannot be resolved. Corresponding to ERROR_WINHTTP_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED.
Stop/Restart service or reboot the machine if you see this error frequently.
Since the server is not connect to the internet, at least it should have an available upstream server. Did you configure it correctly? The error message indicate that the
name could not resolved, make sure you can resolve the name of the upstream server. Run nslookup check the result.
If it is the only WSUS, then give it internet connection and test.
Hope this helps.
