Update has failed (5times) and Targa files won't open
AS title suggests, the cloud updater has tried to install photoshop updates about 5 times now and consistently fails. And I can no longer edit Targa files.

@PECourtejoie is apt in his observations. Resolution for one may not work for other.
So rather than confusing all other users to try it, Its better to resolve them case by case.

Two days ago my Safari was updated to 6.0 and now it won't open.
Two days ago my Safari was updated to 6.0 and now it won't open. Heasder says, "Safari quit unexpectedly." Reinstalling OSX10 twice and then updating did not help. Apple support is unable to help.
Open console in Applications>Utilities, check the system log for the date/time of the last Safari crash for clues.
Or just have Console open when you try to open Safari. -
I deleted adobe and now files won't open with preview automatically like they use to. How do I fix this?
I think you solved my problem! Upon following your advice, I first got a message that I had not allowed a connection to the Tax dept computers, which would prevent the file I need to fill out from being e-filed. I proceeded to then open the file at the top of which was a security banner at which I chose the site as safe. I then filled in the first line of the form which autofilled other lines telling me I was connected with the tax site. In a few days when I have the data I need, I will actually attempt to file the return. If there is a problem, I will send another message. Thanks so much for your assistance!

Also whilst in preferences make sure you don;t have Glims listed in the tabs at the top of the window. If you do, there is an uninstaller available here:

Once you've turned off the Extensions quit Safari, relaunch and test.
If you do have Glims installed Safari needs to be quit when you run the uninstaller.
If Safari works with the Extensions set to off, switch them back on but disable each one individually (in Safari Prefs>Extensions) and then enable them one at a time and test.
On other thing - possibly important - have you installed Trusteer's Rapport, which is often pushed at you by banks as being 'added security' software. If so, it is a possible cause of the problme as it seems to wreak havoc for some users with otherwise healthy Macs. -
Pages and numbers files won't open in ANY version
Apple, what have you done? I made the sad mistake of upgrading to the newest versions of Pages, Numbers and Keynote on the one Mac in our personal and work ecosystem that can run Mavericks. Not only can I not open any existing files in the '09 version of these products once I open them and save in the newest version. Now, I cannot open ANY of these documents in ANY version of these applications. Pleas tell me how to fix this. We have important work and personal files now that we are unable to open at all.
Very disappointed, Apple. These are the sorts of user-experience and quality issues that motivated me to abondon Microsoft...Well the problem "fixed itself". I logged out, logged in to an other user, opened and saved a few pages files and it worked fine. I logged back out, and back in to the user with the Pages problems, and voila! It works fine - no problems. THis software is far to flaky for me. Unfortunately, my colleague in the last two weeks since upgrading has updraded nearly ALL of our current working Pages files. We now have the very unhappy and uprofitable task of exporting and reverting ALL of those documents so we can revert to Pages 09 - a program that actually iWorks.
Apple, this is really buggy software and it's getting deep-sixed. You've really messed up with this latest set of OS and software "upgrades". -
i tried to download the update to iTunes as prompted by my computer (macbook) now iTunes is completely m.i.a. it certainly won't open with the icon. anybody?

Last night when I turned my Itunes on it asked me to update. There was Itunes and Icloud update so I clicked update as usual etc.

Updated iTunes 10.5 and now it won't open at all.

I recently updated iTunes and had several crashes on the next sync with my ipad2. Now when I open the Pages App, all my documents are shown with a black and white Pages icon, the title and date created is there but I cannot open any of the documents I created with this app, I have about 2 months of work I need to be able to open!
It sounds like you are seeing what you should see when you are in the thumbnail view of all of the documents. If none of the files will open when you tap on them, try quitting Pages completely and then restart the iPad and try again.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button -

When I download Flash Player Installer from the Adobe distribution site Adobe Flash Player Distribution | Adobe the file downloads to my hard drive as a generic file with no extension, and Windows can't determine which program to use in order to open/play the file. I am using Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.
Is there something wrong with the downloaded file? Or am I missing required software?

-BrandonYes, I've never had a problem before. I've even downloaded the Flash Player Install files from the Adobe distribution site on multiple occasions in the past without issue. The only thing I could think of is that perhaps the ".exe" extension was left off to avoid triggering security measures on a computer or private network that would prevent the download.
Anyway, it worked after I added the ".exe" extension to the filename, so I have no complaints! -
Firefox seems to be adding " .part " to the file names of files I downoad. Here's an example:
YuT9iNv8.pdf.part
I cannot open this file because it can't find an application.
If I back out the .part, I get a box asking if I want to change the extension to .pdf I check yes, and everything works fine. It doesn't happen with other browsers (Safai).I get the error message saying the file could not be downloaded due because there is no enough disk space.
How large is your HD and how much space do you have left?
