Update Icons Missing

All,
When I create one read/write report the update icons are missing. When I create a different read/write report the update icons are present. The insert incons are present in both.
Any idea what is going on here. Is there a work around for this?

You can only create a report & form as "read/write" when you are using the create application wizard. Any report which you create after that will have to be configured to call a corresponding form.

Keep in mind that this How To is based on Release 1.5 - steps for Release 1.6 will vary slightly.

[Solved] Gnome 3 Shell - Icons Missing After Update

After my last update session, some icons went missing in Gnome. Even more unsettling, only some are missing. From what I can tell, my application icons haven't gone anywhere, but things such as minimize, restore, close, etc. are 404. Here's a photo to explain: https://vps.nullh.net/uploads/gnome-icon-issue.png I also noticed nvidia is included in the last update. I searched the forums, but all of the other problems seemed to be different problems (e.g. application icons were all bunched up/missing, desktop icons "missing", etc.) I feel like I should probably have more icons in the folders, too, but I haven't looked in there before the problem to be sure. Also, Alt+F2 "r" doesn't make a difference, the shell reloads but the icons are still AWOL. If anyone has any ideas, I am all ears.

I ran gnome-shell --replace to try to get some logs out of it. Apparently, it doesn't know how vector files work any more.

So I updated to OS X Maverick(s) and backuped my harddrive and got a new one installed, everything seems okay but some things are missing in my settings like the software update icon. Does anyone know how I can get it back?

Okay so I asked someone from apple and they said that the software update icon is gone but its functions have been merged with the app store icon on the settings menu. Crisis averted haha!

Can you try this to see if the update application appears
1. Go to the main page
2. Start typing to bring up universal search
3. Type "Updates"
4. After you start typing you will see the updates icon appear click on it.

Airplay Icon missing from iTunes 11.0.2.26 (PC) and Genius Sidebar

After upgrading to iTunes 11.0.2.26 my Airplay icon is missing. I've tried the simple fix that reportedly works where you switch to mini player, see the Airplay icon and then it stays when you switch to normal mode.
Firstly the icon does appear but it is grayed out and only pops up a volume control. It does not detect, display, or allow you to select output devices, Second, it is still missing from the normal size window.
This has been tried with and without restarting iTunes as well as reinstalling iTunes. I'd go for a downgrade but then it fails to work with the new iPads at all. I discovered that with my first iPad mini where it required an iTunes upgrade.
Genious Sidebar
I figured Id just downgrade to 10.6.3 to get the genius sidebar back afterwards. WRONG, it will not synch or do anything without the newer versions of the iTunes software. Genius sidebar was the best thing about the software and they kept taking it away, brought it back for a few versions, then took it away again. It was and remains my favorite way to shop for new music. The remaining so called genius functions are just plain lame.
Airplay Icon Missing from Itunes on PC
I can hit my Airplay devices such as Apple TV and Zeppelin Air with iPads, iPods, and iPhones. Just not from the PC Console where is previously enjoyed it the most. So I know the devices are fine. They are all on the same physical wired and wireless network. Even when I put the Zeppelin on the wired LAN there is no Airplay icon in iTunes on the PC.

NOW! i can tell you in my case it was nothing to do with your router or antyvirus ip connection.
my pc is auto updating every sunday and icon has disappeared on monday i realized this fact and i have started uninstalling windows updates one by one after each uninstall i have restarted PC each time always run itunes and check if airplay icon is back. AND THER SHE WAS fiew windows updates uninstalled and icon is back in itunes
Now i can not remember what Update it was KB28 ..... something i didnt wright it down at the time i hope this will help someone.

Nokia Maps Icon Missing?

i have just bought this new Nokia Asha 303 phone and i thought the software installed in the phone is incomplete because i cant seem to find the shortcut for nokia maps. I installed the nokia suite in my pc and check for software updates and it is up to date. I already tried factory reset, but nothing, still the same. Is it possible to restore the missing icon? thanks for any help.

Right after having my new phone I started exploring its possibilities testing applications from Ovi store. At some point I got some problems with an application so I decided it would be a good idea to try a reset... I first try with an app settings reset to defaults (from the s40 Configuration menu, not the Restoring Factory Defaults menu)... right after that I realized I didn't have Nokia Maps icon in any of the lists of installed applications, nor I could found any loader in both file units, phone and memory card, for it... I was not 100% sure the icon vanished after settings reset, but I supposed it, so I thought something went definitely wrong and I decided to try reset to factory defaults as I just started testing the phone so I hadn't any information saved there to lose... what I could not expect it's that a factory reset will not yield the software at the same very state as what I received short time before. In addition to not getting back the Nokia Maps icon, I noticed another difference in the system, I have an Introduction icon in the list of default applications, that triggers a video playback showing the phone basics... now when I push that button, the playback starts but only for the audio, and instead of the video I show a black screen with a NOKIA logo in the center, the same very screen I see when boot up the phone. I have icons missing on OSX mavericks in Launchpad

how would i remedy this bug? in my context menu (open with) i am constantly seeing missing icons for apps and then in launchpad i have icons missing again, only the name appearing. if i click on them they do still open apps if i click on them but id like to see the blooming icons still!!!
this is ever since i updated OSX mavericks to the latest version. 10.9.1 i think.
please help or if u are experiencing it too lemme know if theres anything we can do!
i dont want to uninstall and then re-install these apps so that is not an option!

If they were purchased from iTunes then connect the phone to your Mac's iTunes and the File > Devices > Transfer Purchases should copy them over. If they came from other sources (e.g. copied from CDs) then you will need a third-party program on your Mac to copy them back - there are some listed half-way down this page : Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.
If by 'missing' you mean that you have them listed in the Music part of your iTunes library but get the 'would you like to locate' message when trying to play them then you will need to delete them from there for the Transfer Purchases to work - otherwise that will see those entries in your library and assume that you still have them somewhere and not copy them back.

Update on 10.6.8 fails due to digital signature on update is missing

wanting to install the Parallels version 10 and it won't work on 10.6.8 version of my Mac OS so I learned how to go to the software update which indicates an update is available. When I go ahead and load the update it runs fine and then stops with a message that the Macbook Pro EFI Firmware Update can't be saved. It says the digital signature on the update is missing or invalid.
I don't know if the digital signature is on my computer or the update? I would upgrade to a more recent version of the OS but don't know what will work.
Can anyone help?

Parallels 10 isn't compatible with 10.6 according to the web site.

(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Bonjour entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
(5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

You will need to perform a rebuild of statistics with transactions OLI7, OLI8, OLI9.

Windows XP won't install drivers - "UPDATE" file missing

I have installed Windows XP SP2 successfully ( it was a bumpy road ) and have reached the step where I'm supposed to use a Leopard disc to install the necessary drivers for using Windows with the MacBook hardware (video, speakers, etc). When I insert the Leopard disc a window appears saying that the setup.exe file on the disc is newer than something or other, so I click OKAY ( the Boot Camp instructions say to agree to any windows at this point ). The window goes away, and another one immediately opens saying " the necessary UPDATE file is missing". I click OKAY and the window closes. The End. No driver installation. I can use XP, but there is no sound. Windows Movie Maker won't even launch because it says the audio components are not available. This is probably because the drivers weren't installed. I imagine there will be many other problems.... Anyone have this solution???

Here is a correction to my post. The window says: "This package requires a newer version of Windows Installer. Do you want to update the version of the Windows Installer on your system?" ( I click yes and the window goes away). The second window says: "The required resource 'Update' is missing". ( I click yes and the window goes away ).
I think maybe XP is trying to download something from the internet and maybe it can't since I probably need the drivers to do that....?

I get "digital signature on the update is missing or invalid" trying to install 10.6.8 combo on MacBook currently using 10.6.3. Have used Disk Utility, Restart, Shut Down, with no luck. Used Software Update from 2 different avenues, and also downloaded from apple site. Also searched support.apple, no luck. Thoughts?

ok. i've done the moving of those plist files, restarted and tried again. it hasn't worked, but thank you for your suggestion. i got excited for a minute or two.
it now says An unknown installation error occured. The installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. contact the software manufacturer for assistance.
