Update iOS 5 and loss of maps

Hi,
I updated my iPhone 4 with the iOS 5 and suddenly I have lost the "maps" application (and facetime also but it doesn't worry me).
I tried to restore the software but it doesn't change.
Do you have a suggestion ?

You can't delete it. Look on all screens and inside all folders. If you still can't find it go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout.
Edit: FaceTime isn't an app. You initatiate a FaceTime call by going to the contact you want to call and tapping the FaceTime button.

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

If your ipad has only 797 MB free and it tells you that you need 3.4 GB to update, then you need to begin deleing files, whatever it takes to free up space.
Consider...
Delete apps you don't use.
Delete videos you don't want (these take up a lot of space).
Do you have a lot of emails stored on the device?
Are there apps that store data files, like a PDF reader? If there are a lot of these, you need to delete some.
The bottom line is that you need to remove data and/or apps on your device to make more storage available.
But for videos and photos, always sync them to a computer first to archive them.

Forgotten Restrictions Passcode Help
You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.

You can't restore to a previous iOS. Try this procedure:
Turn your phone off and connect your cable to the computer, but not the device just yet. Start up iTunes. Now, hold down the home button on your phone and plug it in to the cable - don't let go of the button until iTunes tells you it's detected a phone in recovery mode. Now you can restore to factory settings.

8.1 update network issues and loss of all files

continual loss of network connection after update to 8.1. restored 8.0 & everything worked just wonderfully. then on 2/11/14 my system automatically updated to 8.1 and now all of my personal files are gone. I looked in Windows old and there aren't any
files there and I tried to restore back to 2/8/14 (only date given) and it crashed. Can I get my files back and restore my computer back to before the 2/11 update to 8.1.

Let me check you detail PC model and Windows 8 and 8.1 version that you are using. You should learn carefully during upgrade.
do you able to do system restore in safe mode? how many restore point you got?
If you cant go to Windows and try another restore point also failed, there is no other way rather than going back to Windows 8 by reinstalling OS.

Can os x server Profile Manager updates iOS os and appl installation?

I've currently use Apple configurator to push profiles, update OS and app deployment to our College ipads. Have been told to use os x server to deploy instead. After upgraded the macbook air to mountain lion and install os x server, i'm kinda wondering does the profile manager in os x server is only for pushing out profiles and assigning users to the ipads etc? Do i still need to use apple configurator to do all the updates and appl installed first then use profile manager to push profile?
We've got quite alot of ipads need setting up and we normal use a ipad case where one usb cable connect to the laptop and charging case to deploy our apps.

Updated IOS 6 and iTunes changed to German language...

When I updated to IOS6 it changed the language in iTunes to German.
I purchased and set up in Australia but am currently in Austria. All the settings seem to be the same and say Australia and English and all that.
How do I change iTunes back??

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

I am sorry if i wasted your time, it is late here and I am sleepy, I just realized I was irrevelant. For your problem, I think you should check your media player's video output i.e. X11 or Xv or yuv whatever. I don't know mine but vlc detects the correct one as default, but I guess it is X11.

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

10.6.2 update beach ball and loss of keyboard/mouse usage

I recently installed 10.6.2 update on my 15" mbp. I'm using the newest non-unibody mbp.
After that, I've had a few seperate occasions where the OS will just lock up and the beach ball would start spinning. After that, my trackpad and my keyboard would not respond, and the caps lock light on the keyboard does not light up. The only possible way of getting out of it is to force shutdown my MacBook pro using the power button.
When it reboots I find a file called something like fsevent-uuid in my trash. Can anyone help?
I've tried to trigger this but have not been successful so far.

Did you update via Software Update or did you download the Combo? If you used Software Update, consider getting the Combo updater instead and then re-apply:
