Update ios 5 apps dont start

After update simple apps as agenda contacts and others won t open. Opens and closes in the same second. Have made severall resets, and syncs. But no result. .?.what to do?

Cheers deggie, but it s not all apps that don t work. Installing new apps works a treat. Only have problems with 3 apps.
Entering new mail accounts, agenda and contacts ?.

You have to contact the developers of the apps. See if they have a new update that runs in IOS6.
There's nothing a user to user forum can do.

you said you uninstalled and reinstalled, but have you deleted the app from your computer and downloaded it again? if so and it's still doing it, you may need to restore the ipod before reinstalling the apps again.

Finder constantly crashes at startup and dock apps dont start

So everything was running quite well yesterday when apart from running chrome, notes, and vuse, i tried to resumed my vmfusion session and then it suddenly disappeared and then the machine started beachballing which was followed by a finder crash which left me with just my desktop image on the screen and nothing else. After a hard restart, the desktop came back but without any of the icons normally on the desktop and when i wanted to open up an app from the dock, the icon disappeared although the name (for example system preferences) remained. all the functionalities like spotlight and wifi at the top get highlighted but dont work, and then finder crashes again to just show the desktop image and nothing else.
This has happened over and over, no matter if I started it in safe mode, repaired permissions, or even reinstalled snow leopard. I don't know what else I can do since it wont even let me start or open any apps or folders. I feel it was a problem with vmfusion messing up with the kernel but am not certain.

User downloaded apps dont start

I have a problem with my iPhone 4S. I cannont start user downloaded apps. Sometimes it is only a few, but somtimes its all that won´t start. The apps just blink when clicking on them. I have tried rebooting the phone, syncronizing with iTunes and the only thing that actually seems to work is to make a transaktion from App Store, a download of new app or update of an excisting one works fine. But since this happens every now and then it´s anoying to have to download somthing from App Store just to fix this.
I have even had Apple swap the phone a month ago since I had a batteryproblem with my old one (only 3 months old). I had the same problems with both the old phone as well as the new one. Perhaps the new one inherited the problem when I restored my backup from my old phone to the new one...

ITunes 11.1.4 Update prevents other Apps from starting.

Ever since I updated iTunes to 11.1.4, I can't start apps like Skype or Batman: Arkham City GOTY. Skype shows the "Skype quit unexpectedly" message. Batman: Arkham City GOTY keeps jumping up and down in the dock, then rests and needs to be force quitted. There are no windows showing up.
Anyone experienced similar issues?
BTW: I re-downloaded and installed both apps and the problem persists.

Hy there,
In order for you to solve this problem you have to follow these stept if your running windows:
1'st step is to go into the device manager
2 step is to go to portable devices (it is rught under network adapters)
3 step is to right clic apple iphone and click update drivers
4 step is to brows your drivers from C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers
After that your itunes will pump up alown and youl see your iphone right there.

IOS 7 App Store showing old updates / showing updates and not letting me install

I noticed two issues with the iOS 7 App Store starting last night. I'm not sure if it's a temporary issue, since the issue seems to be server-side on Apple's part, or if it's a long-term issue.
I am running iOS 7.0.2 on an iPhone 5s. I do not have automatic updates for apps turned on (I like checking what an app is updating before installing it). I have tried force quitting the App Store app and restarted my iPhone.
The first thing I noticed last night was that the App Store showed an update for Hulu Plus on my iPhone but wouldn't let me install it. On my iPad (3rd-gen) running iOS 7, it let me install it. This morning, it let me install it. After, I noticed another badge on my App Store app icon with a "1", and it said there was an update for 94 Seconds, but wouldn't let me install it either. Then when I expanded the details, I noticed the date on it was from July 30, 2013. I already had that update installed over 2 months ago. Screenshots for that issue are below.
Is anhyone else experiencing anything similar? Any solutions?

I do indeed seem to recall that happening with an app previously.
However, this time it was two apps (Google and Tivo). I figured they'd get flushed out when more updates (for other apps) hit the App Store. However, when that happened just now, while it did show "update" for those old updates instead of "open", I could not select "update all" up top and had to press update next to each of the (now 4) apps. The real issue though is that it (of course) can't further update Google and Tivo and gets stuck. So I can't update any of my apps now.
When I went back into App Store I then got the blank screen that shows nothing under updates but the "Purchased" slider up top. I thus had to reboot. I can get back into the App Store, and got an error regarding the Tivo update not being available (this was a Jan 10 or so update that had already been installed), but there it still sits in the updates. Interestingly, Google did "update" and fall off the badge indicator. I selected only my true/new updates, so now I'm just stuck with a false Tivo update/badge.
I should add that I am on 7.0.4.
EDIT: Tivo "updated" after the reboot too. So, bottom line is that you're (I'm) stuck with the false updates until a real update comes through, and then I have to go through that song and dance to clear out the false flags.

I started getting that message on my iPad tonight when I reset it completely. I haven't been t another country. So not sure if that has anything to do with it. I haven't been able to resolve yet.

Since the last update my Numbers app in IOS, iPad3 and iphone5 will not open. It works fine on my macbook pro. It starts but before I can open a file it closes.

If you've already restarted both your iOS devices after the update and Numbers for iOS still won't load, you might try clearing the documents temporarily out of iCloud, opening the apps, closing them, and then placing the documents back in iCloud.
To do this, in Finder on your Mac, hold down the option key and then Go > Library > Mobile Documents > com~apple~Numbers. Move the documents there out to the Desktop or other location of your choosing. Then give iCloud time to sync. Then try opening Numbers on iPad and on the iPhone. If they open, then close them, and move the documents back into Library > Mobile Documents > com~apple~Numbers and let iCloud sync again.
That sometimes clears up the problem.

Has your phone ever been hacked or jailbroken. This error message is what usually shows up for that. Are you using a supported carrier for the iPhone, or did someone hack the phone to unlock it to be used on another carrier. If that is the case, then there is no help you can get here as discussing hacked/jailbroken devices is not allowed.

Have the same problem on my iPhone 5. It says that 3 updates are available, but its also just the waiting status when I want to load them. I also tried to sign off from the app store and re-sign but it didn't work. Also tried to load a new app: same problem.
Has anyone a solution for this?

Can't update or download apps iOS 8.1.2

I've been trying to update and download apps for a while now and it simply can't. I've tried to stop the download and start it again but it cannot download. The only thing that happens is that the app become unavailable and it either waits (the blue spinning circle) or the download image (circle with a square) appears. But there's no progress whatsoever.
I have an iPhone 5s and I'm running on iOS 8.1.2, before I updated it worked perfectly, so is it an iOS problem? Or what should I do?

The solution was staring me in the face:

I have almost 20 applications showing in 'updates' in App Store. I selected 'Update all'. But iPad not installing those updates.

It's never a good idea to select Update All - IMO. That's when things start going wonky. Only one thing can download at a time anyway.
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast, TV show .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
