Update ios 7.0 failure

Hi, please cuold you help me? i've got a pc using windows vista, any time i try to update my iphone or my ipad i fail. Downloading updates for the Os is ok but, when itunes tries to install new iOs release, an error occur and my iphone step into "recovery mode". Moreover, my pc can't recognize the iphone and i have to use another pc to restore the iphone. So, what's the matter in your opinion? A message from windows says it can't be installed driver for device. I'm a bit nervous because i don't want to have to restore mi iphone all the time. Thank you!

Further info. When i try to update iOs those things happen: windows says it is impossible to install device driver, iphone software desappear, my iphone passes in rescue mode. Then i have to: restore my iphone on another cpu, install the last beckup i saved. If i want to update iOs i have to do it directly from the phone. It's not a problem but it cost me a lot of time! thank you again!

Hi Just try this once more Turn iPhone off Connect lead to usb on PC Press & hold power button down DONOT let go Connect lead to iPhone keep power button pressed until you see iPhone on your PC. Good luck. Brian

I'm hoping they figure out a fix for this soon, it's too much to just be a coincidence in my opinion. I hadnt bothered with the update until last week I figured why not update, it'll get rid of the irritating notification badge I had for so long. Sure enough that evening I had my first of probably 2-3 dozen SIM card failures in a week or so. Doing a hard restart will usually temporarily fix the issue but I'm sure I'm not the only person who realizes that this kind of bug could cause serious risks. For anyone trusting a reliable network connection in a life or death situation this is actually a very big problem. I never know when or where my phone will fail on me next. It's about a year and a half old and I haven't had a single issue with network until hours after this latest update. I will be doing my research from now on before updating. This post is more so for someone within Apple, and to support the legitimacy of the others, you should really take these network failure concerns seriously.

If those solutions don't work your iPhone 4s has probably developed a hardware problem. The permanent solution is to get it replaced.
You can search the internet for heating and freezing solutions that might work (at least for a while).

Have you checked that the dock connector port is not dirty?

I am using IPad 4, wifi, 16G. After i update ios to ios 8.1.2, it drains my battery. I use ~ 5 minutes, it has been worst with this drain faster by ~10%.

Look into the notifications. There are often a lot defaulted to on that you may not need. And don't just look in the notification center, also look in the apps themselves - settings, general, scroll down and explore each app's privacy and notification setting.
Also look to background app refresh and background app update.
You may eventually need to restore your device - which is basically backing it up and using iTunes to restore the software - aka install it fresh, especially if you did your update over the air. Sometimes a fresh install helps - and if you back it up you'll lose nothing but time the data can be put back onto the device from the backup.

Do you have a 2G iPod. Those can only go to iOS 4.2.1.
A 1G can only go to 3.1.3
A 3G only to 5.1.1

If you are using iOS 4 (or earlier) there is no Software Update in Settings. That feature was first added in iOS 5.
To update you will have to connect your iPad to iTunes on a computer (preferably the one you sync with and backup to).

You can't. The iPhone 3G can only go as high as iOS 4.2.1. It hardware does not suport a higher iOS.

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

- Reset all settings

After update IOS from 6.0 to 7.1, my Apple Id cannot access to my Iphone due to the Apple ID that comment on IOS 7.0.2 was not matched to the old one.

I have gotten the problem after updated IOS to version 7.0.2. I signed up my IPhone with su* @pttplc.com as Apple ID via older IOS version and can use it normally but after I update the IOS version from 6.0 to 7.0.2, the Apple ID that commented on my IPhone is sx* @pxxxxx.com. It look like that the number of alphabet in Apple Id is not matched. The new one is less than the old one so I cannot log in my IPhone. After that I try asking for the new password but the new password was not send to su* @pttplc.com but send to my reserve e-mail instead. Please help me to fix the problem ASAP due to I cannot access IPhone for 2 month already.
Please suggest the solution to reset my IPhone to normal. Please advise ASAP. Thanks in advance.
