If it is the third party apps crashing - try downloading another app - any free app is fine. See if that resets the other apps.

How do I update my iPad to ios5 I am getting an error mesage -402653081 while backing up the iPad, if I proceed then I will loose all the content of the iPad?
The IOS5 upgrade will erase everything on your iPad, so make sure you have a good backup before you start.
If not, you will just have to reenter all of your settings all over again. Have you ever backed it up successfully? -

Recognition error after iOS5 update of ipad (1)?
I updated my ipad (1) with iOS5. The update was successful, but now my Windows XP does not recognize my ipad (the USB does not recognize). Also, now, itunes can not identify and update it. My ipad was working fine before the iOS5 update.
The USB error is that "USB device not recognized - One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned and Windows can not identify it".
I tried to update the USB driver (unknown device driver in the "Driver Manager" field of Windows) but reached a deadend. Apple online support guide says that I need to call them or get them to service/repair it. But, they need money to provide support. *****, as this was working before the update.
Please advise/help.I have the same problem.. try this:
power off iPad
unplug USB cable
plug in USB cable
iPad should power up, and if iTunes is open, should recognize the USB port.
if that doesn't work, try plugging the USB cable in directly to the computer.
it seems to be a bug with USB hubs -

How do I update my iPad 1 to ioS5 or later?
If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 6.1.3. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect the iPad to the computer, open iTunes. Then select the iPad under the Devices heading on the left, click on the Summary tab and then click on Check for Update.
Tip - If connected to your computer, you may need to disable your firewall and anitvirus software temporarily. Then download and install the iOS update. Be sure and backup your iPad before the iOS update. After you update an iPad (except iPad 1) to iOS 6.x, the next update can be installed via wifi (i.e., not connected to your computer).
Tip 2 - If you're updating via wifi, place your iPad close to your router to preclude getting a corrupted download.

I recently had my nephew update my IPad to IOS5, when I put my pages application back my saved document were gone. It as if I am just starting a new pages.
What can I do to recover the document that was on Pages before the update?
Please help Thanks

<Edited by host>I don't think you're on iOS 5, I think you're using iOS 6. That's the latest version.
Unless you've used iCloud to back up your documents, you won't be able to restore them. And for future reference, you don't have to uninstall Pages to update your iPad anymore. Sorry about this. -
I'm trying to update my iPad to ios5, as I want Sky Go on it to watch the cricket, so I've gone thru Settings, General, but there is no update available...what am I doing wrong? Or is this iPad not able to get updates? Thanks
You only have the option if you are already running iOS 5. If you are trying to update the iOS, you have to use iTunes on a computer to update the iPad.
There are some important things that you should know before you update.

The updating instructions are in this article. Make sure you read the part about using iTunes.

Just updated my iPad to ios5. How can I turn off tabbed browsing in Safari?
My wife just updated her iPad to ios5 because of problems with Safari. Now she cannot see her previous web pages as she could in ios4. Instead she sees tabbed browsing which she hates. Can tabbed browsing be turned off and Safari restored to the way it used to work? Are there any alternatives/
Thanks. You can't turn it off. Sorry. Take a look at iCab Mobile. It's another browser that's available in the App Store. It has both tabs and thumbnails (and tons of other neat features).

Updated iOS5.0.1 and iPad doesn't open at all
I updated my iPad with the new iOS5 version and after the loading image and the apple icon, it hasn't opened since. I tried opening it from the start button, but it won't react at all. I plugged it into my MacBook and opened iTunes and said that iPad is in recovery mode and I must restore it before I can use it in iTunes. The iPad has been ' dead' for more than an hour now...
Any advice, please?!Even this Section...
If iPad won't turn on, or the display stops responding
iPad Reset
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time...
Wait for the Apple logo to appear on the screen. Usually takes about 10-15 seconds, but can take longer... - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons when the Apple logo appears.
iPad Restore
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears. When the red slider appears, release the Sleep/Wake button.
Continue to press and hold the Home button for a further six seconds.

I don't think bulk update for password is supported in R1(same in R2). Find below statement in oracle doc
Support Bulk Update: Determines if the field can be modified as part of a bulk modification of multiple users. Fields that are expected to be unique to users, such as username, name fields, and password, do not support bulk update. For fields with System Controled=Yes or Unique=Yes, this property can never be set to Yes. For information about setting the properties of an attribute, see "Configuring User Attributes" in the Oracle Fusion Middleware Administrator's Guide for Oracle Identity Manager.
