Update Lightroom and PS via cc (2014)

Hello!
I wonder if this is the wanted behavior (I at least find it strange and not really user friendly).
Using a Mac with the latest osX10.8.
Photoshop now shows up in the CC as PS CC (2014) as well as a Photoshop CC upgade,
also after the upgrade is done, so I get a 14.2.1 and a 2014.0.0 (not sure what to think about the 0.0 release name, ...)
Maybe some info or dialog explaining why or only selecting one of the path might have been handy.
Or even better some revision control so people can install a specific version (for example if they know
a newer version does not work that well).
Also that Lightroom does not seem to be properly integrated in the upgrade mechanism. Ligthroom does not even show
up as being installed, nor does the upgrade itself. The upgrade was only shown in Lightroom itself after starting it up new.
I would say there is some room for improvements!

the cc 2014 programs are new versions. your cc subscription allows you to download, use and update several (currently cs6, cc and cc 2014) versions. you can use all 3 versions or uninstall previous version.
for your lightroom issue, follow solution 2 here, CC desktop lists applications as "Up to Date" when not installed

Restart computer
Refer to following article to remove SC file(s):
Win 7/Vista http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2363

Then proceed to repair your Quicktime:
Win7/Vista - Start / Control Panel / Programs n Features.
WinXP - Start / Control Panel / Add n Remove Programs
Highlight QUICKTIME and click CHANGE then REPAIR

I need to update training and event with external data. Once a month I receive the data in a file. But how can I do this using ABAP? Any good FMs you can recommend?
The objects I need to update/create is: Business Event Group, Business Event Type, Course and Person.

when i updated lightroom from the creative cloud app the program will not launch

I have the same issue.
I'm on a 27" iMac, with all current updates. It opens fine on my older MacBook Air.
I've tried rebooting, uninstalling, repair permissions, etc all to no avail.

Updated Lightroom and PS in CC and Lost RAW images

I am very new to CC and all the programs. When I installed the updates after updating my MAC software to the newest version, I lost all my raw images. I do not know what happened. HELP! All the JPEGS are there but I lost the rest.

After an update of OSX it’s best to trash the prefs file so that they get automatically re-built on next launch.
Quit Lightroom
Launch Finder and find the user Library by clicking the Go menu whilst holding down the Optn (alt) key (n.b. the library is hidden until you press the optn key) and inside the Library folder select the preferences folder. Then trash the following file:
com.adobe.Lightroom5.plist
Quit Finder and re-launch LR5

Updating username and password via JDBC

Hello,
Curious has anyone developed sample code that would do the following.
1. Using getConnection one passes in a username and passsword.
2. Let's say the the DB password passed is wrong but I want to update the users old password with the new password I just passed?
Anyone have samples that might do this. ie. gets a return of bad password, reconnects as admin DB user, updates person's password, reconnects as orgianal username and password that previously failed?

you can also validate an FND login using the FND_WEB_SEC.validate_login package if it's easier.

Kindly try to remove Creative Cloud app and re-install with the help of steps mentioned in the link to remove and install Creative Cloud.

After updating from CC to new 2014 updates Lightroom would not go from 'Library' to 'Develop' - develop screen was greyed out showing the message 'Develop module is disabled. Please renew your membership to reactivate the Develop module.' Since my membership is fully up to date. I then uninstalled Lightroom 5 and then installed it again. Now when I try to open Lightroom 5 its LOGO flashes onto the screen and then 'crashes' in an instant. Please fix.

With regards to your .arw files:
You need to either purchase and install Lightroom 5.4 -- OR -- download and install and use the FREE Adobe DNG Converter version 8.4, did you actually launch and use the DNG Converter?
There should be no problem importing JPG files into Lightroom from your camera, what happens when you try? Is there an error message?

I have version 5.7 and every time I opened it I was told that updates are available and to click on the icon to access these. Instead it just took me to the
adobe page with nowhere visible to update. I then sought to download lightroom cc and this is when I could not access the 'develop' section due to reduced
functionality It was apparent that my photos had been put in cc but no way to access them unless I wanted to subscribe.
I have since remedied the problem as my original lightroom 5.7 icon is still available on the desktop and have gone back to that. I do feel that this is a bit
of a rip off and an unnecessary waste of my time though.

What OS version? What's the exact error? Exactly when does the error occur? What previous versions? What is on the screen when the error displays? Does Photoshop get fully open?
Try opening Photoshop holding down Shift key immediately to turn off plug-ins. Lots of good suggestions here: Photoshop: Basic Troubleshooting steps to fix most issues

To free up hard drive space the best bet is to move data files that you don't need access to all the time. Likely candidates are music, video, and photos. Things like word processing and spreadsheet files can also be moved but they tend not to be very large and so don't free up much space. The problem with moving the above mentioned files is that iTunes and iPhoto need to know where the files are stored.
Here's an article explaining how to move the iTunes folder. You can move the iPhoto library using the Finder but there is a slight complication. Start iPhoto, open the Preferences and click on the Advanced tab. The first option is "Copy items to the iPhoto Library". If this option is checked, copy the iPhoto library to your external folder (drag it from the Pictures folder to your external drive) and then delete it from your Picture folder. If this option is not checked, it is a bit more complicated and we'll need to talk a bit.

As pdroth said, you should have gotten a backup made when you started the update of iOS. If you cannot find a backup, and the phone is in recovery mode, there are no futher suggestions to make. To get the phone working again you have to restore. You cannot force a backup at this time since it is already in recovery mode. It will not allow anything else but a restore at this point.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
    1.    First check that all your settings are correct, that calendar syncing is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
    2.    Make sure the calendars you are using are in your 'iCloud' account and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud account (you can do this by clicking/tapping the calendar button in the top left corner of the application ), non iCloud calendars will not sync.
    3.    If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your calendars are in the iCloud account, you might try unchecking calendar syncing in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling calendar syncing settings.
