Update my PSE 8 on my New Mac

My old Mac Photoshop Element 8 no longer works (Error: 150:30) on my new mac (OSX 10.9.2). Is there an update that I can download? And where do I find it?

Bruce Hoadley did you migrate/transfer Photoshop Elements 8 to your new Mac? If so then please run the uninstaller located in the Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers folder for Photoshop Elements 8. You can then reinstall from your installation media.
If you cleanly installed Photoshop Elements 8 on your new Mac then please see Error "Licensing has stopped working" | Mac OS - http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/error-licensing-stopped-mac-os.html.

Photoshop CS6 installend fresh with update to sharpen type for my new Mac Retina.

Problem in iTunes with Sync on a new Mac

Hey guys, need help, I just got a new Mac and wanna sync it with the iphone, So I authorised the computer and then tried to transfer purchased apps, but there always pops up some window with som problem and there is written that I have to authorise PC...but I have done that already so I dont know what else I could do ....

Have you run Software Update in System Preferences on your new Mac?
If so and no change and there is no change after re-starting your Mac, try downloading the iTunes install and reinstall it over the existing - no need to delete the existing iTunes app first.

Beautiful new Mac and now I can't sync with itunes!

I have replaced my old imac with a lovely new Mac Pro (spec below), used migration assistant to transfer my files along with music and apps for my iphone 3G. I have unsubscribed my iphone from my my old imac, but when I attach my iphone to my new mac it isn't recognised in itunes.
Now I get an error message:
itunes could not connect to the iphone "Amanda's iphone because an unknown error occurred (0xE800000A)
I've no idea what to do now.
Anybody out there have any ideas for me please?

I recently purchased a MacBook Pro, and the first thing I did was run Software Update. There were a number of updates available including for iTunes. There is a lag between the OS and software installed at the factory and available updates.
If you have run Software Update and installed any available updates, try downloading the current iTunes version and reinstall it over the existing. No need to delete iTunes first.

New MAC - What to transfer?

Old Mac: PowerMac G5 Dual 2.0GHz Power PC - 10.4.8
New Mac: 24" iMac 2.16GHz Intel - 10.4.?
Have them hooked up via FireWire 800 and they are transfering. Since I am going from PowerPC to Intel is there something more I need to do? How do I know if the applications it transfers are universal now?
Also - will the files transfered be erased from my other computer?

As far as the PPC apps getting migrated to an Intel Mac, its a valid point you make, and one Apple ought to address, at least with a warning in the (Migration Assistant) GUI (this is what you are using no ?)...
If for some reason you did abort the MA transfer, you arent necessarily without easy recourse. If you have the System Restore Disks (typically grey with white lettering) that came with your new Mac - just reinstall your OS and Apps then software update. This will restore your new Mac back to basic usability.
Then begin the MA process again, but disallow those apps for which you either feel will be "too slow" or perhaps have the Intel version on hand.
Remember only an app that is branded as "Universal binary" is updated for the new Intel architecture. As the previous poster suggested any app can be verified as to which platform it is written for by using, however, using Get Info is not the way I would recommend checking - instead use:
Click Finder icon in Dock
Cmd-U
System Profiler
scroll to Software Applications section on left
in the resulting output pane on the right find your app
Remember that the Adobe CS apps and MS Office arent yet available as Intel optimized apps yet.

What is "Photoshop Elements Premier 12"? Do you mean Photoshop Elements or Premiere Elements? Were your files copied over from a previous mac that had PSE installed on it?

Mac computer with an Intel Core processor
OS X version 10.6.8 or later
400MB of available disk space
Broadband Internet connection to use the iTunes Store
Your Mac must be able to run OSX 10.6.8. If you can run that OSX then you can run iTunes 11.1.

.. and by the way, the jump from FCP 6.0.3 to FCP 7.0 (or higher) isn't an "update" It's a full version "upgrade" that has to be done using the install discs (or disc images).

I think this is a known problem with Lion and some installs of Logic, I've seen it mentioned before.

I have been updating my PSE since 10. Recently I purchased PSE13 as I didn't see an update for my 12. I was changing to a new laptop as my old laptop had been patched and worked and was showing signs of giving out. It was a Window's 7OS. My new one is a Windows 8 OS so I bought the 13 and downloaded it on the new laptop. Our desktop had died so I downloaded the 13 on the new desk computer also. Not thinking I downloaded 13 on my old laptop as I hope to get it patched up enough to be a backup for my photography. When I tried to activate it I realized that I had downloaded it too often. I didn't know you could only use it on two computers. Learn something new every day.. Any way I removed it and now my PSE 12 does not seem to be working. Now it could be something that I did or something that is an issue with the laptop. this laptop has all the previous editions on board as I always tried to update, except for the year I got a really good deal on Black Friday. I also notice that the new laptop has a copy of PSE 12 in the program list. To my knowledge I have never deactivated any of my PSE's except the extra 13 downloaded. Bottom line, do I need to go in and deactivate previous PSE versions and removed them from my computer? I could certainly use the space and secondly, can I deactivate the PSE 12 and then go back and reacitivate it and install it again on the old laptop or the desktop, whichever I deside would be the most appropriate place for the newer program. For the PSE 12 since it is an updater for 11, does the 11 still need to be on the laptop? thanks for anyone who can understand what I am trying to say and can advise me as to my next move.
