Update Nokia 6131 RM--115 - Product code 0534195?

Hi!
I bought this phone two weeks ago. It says manufacturing date is 02-2007 yet its firmware is still v3.70. The Nokia Software Update (latest version), as well as the product code checker, state there are no updates available for my phone despite seeing a wide range of people is having v5.50. My product code is 0534195. So okay, I may have to wait for a specific firmware revision for my phone model, but still, can anyone tell me if this is going to take a long time or something?

They can be operator-specific and can be hardware specific within the same model.
FYI I haven't heard of an update to 05.50 for your Telecom Personal branded device.

Hi flashxl,It's because of Russian network operators must approve new SW first.

6131 brand TIM product code 0537272 no firmware av...

Hi all,
The 6131 is updateable by PC at the end! It's a good news since the fw 3.50 cannot update itself over the air, am I wrong?
And a better one will be the support at the 6131 sold in italy by TIM (99% of total?)!
Where are the 3.70 and 5.50? The TIM branding is merely a theme, isn't it?

i happen to have got my hands on a 6131 TIM version (a friend gave it to me since i lost my 3110c). the problem is the interface and perticularly the music player is quite different. Just wanted to know if someone knew if an update for the 3.50 is available? i tried downloading the NSU but it keeps telling me no updates found? but i know the firmware for the 6131 got to 5.50 and possible 6 something...
please some help with that...

Nokia E52 (Gold) - which Product Code(s) support A...

Am going to use Nokia Software Updater (NSU) to flash my phone to the latest version of firmware available so need to know which Product Code I need to set the phone to support the Alternative Line Service that is offered by many GSM carriers.
Unfortunately my version of the Nokia E52 (RM-469, Gold, Product Code 586660) does not suuport this feature even though it is described in the manual and I cannot switch to the second line from the Call Settings Menu as described on Page 106 of the manual.
My SIM and carrier account are enabled for this and I have verified that by using my old Nokia 6310i which does receive calls on both lines and shows a "2" to indicate the Alternative line.
All suggestions welcome - Thankx!

Cannot find Nokia 701 Product code

I recently bought a used nokia 701 . .somehow the phone had software problem and while updating the process was interrupted after which it fails to switch on ..
On removing the battery i found the sticker stating the IMEI Product code etc is scratchy and unreadable . .Now its very difficult to update the software without the Product code . .How do i find it without the sticker and the device refuses to start . .

I have several issues with the N73 OS example cant delete emails and frequent crashes I checked with the update software and read this board so I hope some one can advice me of a updater to fix this small but annoying issues.

If your problems are so severe you should either get over to an NSP and do the update tyhere (You'll get V2.0628.0.0.3 at first and there's a huge chance that you can then update to v3.0368.0.0.1 from there) or just go over to your reseller and claim warranty. I have never yet had any of the problems you pointed out. Just today, I couldn't get my phone out of the Offline mode (first time since I've had it) and had to reset it using *#7370#, which means I had to restore a back-up for it... But because I knew this was to happen just CREATED a backup first, so that no data would be lost at all. However, if such a thing happens again I might go and claim warranty as well...

one of the difference i observed is in the browser rendition of web pages, especially yahoo.com. The font size of webpages has been changed. I like using the small font size. The browser in Version 24.001 has further reduced the small font size making it almost the same as smallest size. I prefer the rendition in version 22.014
That's what i noticed first.
Second, the software update application NO LONGER connects to the server to check for updates. If you try checking for updates via the app you will always get ''No new update available''!! And it tells you this without checking or connecting to the net??

If i look on the nokia website the latest software for my Nokie E5, It show that the lastest software version is 101.003.
If i connect my phone to the PC Suite it says "no update availeble.

your network operator has the firmware offered to them by Nokia and they decide whether to let their own teams work on this firmware and add their own custom branding, wallpapers, other **bleep** etc, and release it to the customer. this is in stark contrast to generic variants, which almost always have the latest updates released for their particular product code.
in this case you will need to contact your network carrier, and also your local Nokia Care to see if there are any options: http://nokia.com/support You may be able to get written permission from your network carrier to remove their branding, and get the generic firmware installed on your device at a Nokia Care point.

I've just input my product code into the Nokia Device software update site and it says 'Sorry, there is no software available for your product code'. Can anybody explain this?

Hi to all,
I have a Nokia N70 Tim branded (RM-84, product code 0530431, software version 2.0537.1.7) and the Nokia software updater says “No software updates available for your phone”: I believe this is not correct, since many people with my same branded phone have upgraded to software version 5.xx. Can you add the product code to the database?

N95 Product code 0547686 V30 news?

I have just got a N95 with product code 0547686 on the 3 network. The "Can I update check" says this model is good for V30.0.015, but Software updater only gives me V21.0.016.
Some topics from September time seems to imply that Nokia was looking at this. Has anyone heard anything new or is this usual?

I have done as suggested and updated Nokia PC Suite and NSU, still no joy. I contacted Nokia and got this reply...

Is the product code related to the network supplier or do they modify the software for a particular code? Is the best approach to contact 3 and see if they have any input into the process?.

N86-1 T-Mobile Germany Product Code -- No Software...

Hey everyone,
I have a N86-1 with a Product Code (0590854) that is, apparently, one made for T-Mobile Germany. However, I bought it overseas from a local dealer.
I've checked everyday since the new FW update was released via OTA and Software updater on the phone. No update is available for my product code yet, despite it being rolled out for all Europe product codes this past week (Source: Damian Dinning from AllAboutSymbian forums).
(Unfortunately, I'm restricted to a Mac using Mac OSX, so NSU is not an option for now.)
Are there any T-Mobile users from Germany who have been able to update their firmware to v.20? Are there any users who have not been able to update their N86 (it doesn't matter where you're from)? I checked Nokia Germany's website for the current firmware version for the N86, and the one listed is still v.11. Should I just wait or try NSU?

the only 6 figure number is an "item" number starting 0027 is this a new product code???

It has on the label "UK CV Deep Plum" any one know What the CV stands for
It is Graphite as my original was graphite and there was not a replacement available so the case was changed and it updated to v12 but What is CV and What is item 0027##

So I would guess it has been swapped like for like except the colour although the case was changed as I have the graphite not deep plum so I would assume 0548364 is the code so this would be as good a guess as looking in shops!
