Update Nokia Messenger E71

Today I recieved an email on my Nokia E71 to (obligatory) upgrade Nokia Messenger for Windows Live Hotmail. After having updated the software of Nokia Mail my Gmail account is working well and synchronizing my email but my Hotmail account isn't.
Have tried a couple of times to istalle the software update + add new e-mail accounts, but still no solution. What could be the problem with this update for Hotmail?

Hopefully someone can help. I have downloaded the nokia messenger application and set it up to work with my Ntlworld account. Problems is that i can received emails without issue, when i attempt to send any emails, i get the following error

I have also tried to set it up with yahoo mail and i get the same problem, three's email service is **bleep** and they want to charge me for every email sent, even though the advertising states "unlimited email" on the package that i purchased ...

Nokia Messenging email prob

I recently reinstalled Nokia messenger onto my X6 and the UI has disapeared. Instead all I'm getting is the standard x6 email program even though I have actually downloaded the nokia messenging email app from OVI.
Is this normal? Can anyone suggest a reason why I'm not getting the actual UI that I used to have when I've had this app on my phone previously? Or can anyone point me in the right direction for a decent email app with a good looking UI with all the fuctionality of a good email client.

Has anyone succefully updated firmware for E71?

I've heard that there is a new firmware update for the E71, but everytime I run the NSU it says there is no update available. Has anyone found one? If so, where?

Check your product code as you may have network branded version, mine was SIM free and unlocked, its product code is shown in the pic.

E60 firmware update @ Nokia Service Center

Folks,
when the E60 firmware update came out I already did know that I a have to visit the local Nokia Service Center (in Vienna) to get the firmware update, because I am a Mac User. These funny guys at the local Service Center then updated the firmware to the same version which was already installed?! Very smart... finally I found out that there is no firmware update for the E60 available at the Nokia Service Center at the moment. There is a chance that this will happen some day in near future...
Come on Nokia; how does this work?!? Every PC user can download the update from the Nokia site but the folks at the local service centers have to search in their print-outs if their is any update available - sounds anachronistic, doesn't it?
So, can anybody tell me, when I can expect the E60 firmware update to arrive at the local Nokia Service Centers (in Austria)?

The warranty with the phone is only valid in the Country / area in which it was sold.
The ebay seller in the US probably got it cheaper abroad, and sold it on... Even if it was from the USA, the service centres wouldn't update it for you.
The only thing you can do is keep checking the Nokia Software Updater

Email deleting itselt in Nokia messenger

Hi all
I have a problem. I have added my Blueyonder email account to Nokia messenger and now emails are pushed through to my N900. I noticed that when they arrive after viewing then going out to the main menu then back in the emails disapear. I dont know where they go. I check the webmail site and they are stil there. Has anyone else had the same problem?

im having the same problem, firstly with an n86 and now with an x6, i had my n86 xmas last year and up until end of jan it worked fine, now if i get any mail its dissapeared within an hour, ive tried everything, going into my blueyonder email settings, enabeling pop3 etc. anyone found a solution to this? i think it has something to do with when virgin switched all our accounts to gmail

805a01f4 error with updating nokia drive

Hello, I have bought a new windows 8 phone from Nokia. Every feature which is default with the phone is great and I have no issues with any of them. But when am trying to open the Windows Store to update Nokia drive, am getting the error code with the message "Error Code : 805a01f4 The Store is not available at the moment please try again." I tried to open it many times but all the time I get the same message. I havn't had any problems with every other application update, only with Nokia drive.
If the microsoft has provided any fix in advance for this error, please let me know about it completely. Thank you.

That's nor the issue neither the point: It's just the Drive+-app which is causing trouble to update; the other Apps & the store in general are working just fine.
The point is that Nokia is making big fame on their website by stating that the Drive+-app is a major improvement over other smartphones as they off a complete SatNav-solution for free.
Customers like me who have fallen for this, are being cheated, because in the end the App doesn't deliver & can't be updated.
The errorcode doesn't seem to have anything to do with the store, just with the availability of the update. Strange however that we are been presented with the same 'general' error.
Patience? When I just bought a brandnew car, I guess it won't be considered normal to return to the dealer with complains about the functionality of the steering wheel, & just get the answer: "Yeah, we know, have some patience, we will fix it in the near future. Perhaps...".

Query about Nokia Messenging Always On

I have Nokia Messenging installed on my X6 with the access point on Internet. My first priority in my wireless LAN which is fine but out of it's range it'll switch to my pay as you go internet access which is priority two. This is normal. My query is, does it cost me money having the access point open or is it just when I'm receiving/sending data? I'm on a Vodafone PAYG tarriff.

The flash being stuck on is generally a sign that the phone has been damaged either by a drop, water or other form of moisture.
You should take it to a Nokia care centre for inspection as there are no settings that can turn it off.

Disapearing emails using nokia messenger

I have recently started using Nokia messenger to push my Blueyonder email to to my N900. Finally I got the emails to push through, but they sit in the in box for while then after I read them then they disapear. I have no record of any email. I use Gmail as well through the nokia messenger, but the email do not disapear. Whats happening????? Brummyboy

N86 8MP nokia messenger problems.

the nokia messenger pop up and asked me to log in my msn account.so i log in my msn account and it synchronise my msn email. after that, i thought it will only synchronise my msn email once i log in or online. however, the nokia messenger will automatically go online using gprs and stream and synchronise my msn email once a while and this is wasting my money.i cant find a way to stop the n86 from doing that. so anyone got any idea how i can stop it>?? pls reply asap because this is wasting my money. thanks for ur infos.

Error message after updating Nokia Browser.

In my Nokia X2-02, after updating Nokia Browser, it gave me an error message: Conflicting applications, Show items?
Please fix this bug, as I have tried resetting all settings and updating the software via PC.

This is a known problem which happens sometimes: there's a new versio of browser available, but the application get corrupted during the download/installation of the app and stops working. Updating the device SW with Nokia Suite does not unfortunately fix the problem.. The only sure way to have the issue fixed would be to take the phone to a Nokia Care service point for refurbishing. http://www.nokia.com/global/support/locations/
Another possible workaround for the problem is to use e.g. Opera Mini instead of Nokia Browser. (you can install it with Nokia Suite even though the Nokia Browser on your phone is now non-working).
I have tried to push Nokia to release a new SW update for most device models which would correct the issue without the need to refurbish the device at a Care Point, but the latest conclusion was that the problem does not occur frequently enough to create such fix... Except for a few very latest devices should be getting it in near future

E75 - Unable to install Nokia Messenging

Hi there,
Pls note that this is a totally new phone with only the following customised:
- themes
- contact list synchronized with Ms Outlook with Data Cable
- configured a POP corporate email account programmed to connect every 5 mins (not via Nokia Messenging)
just tried to install Nokia Messenging software downloaded from email.nokia.com but encounter the following error while installing, here is the process:
- Sign up at Nokia Messenging Portal
- Register and signed in
- Key in phone number and retried a few times but never gotten any system sms to download software.
- do a manual download by connecting phone's web browser to email.nokia.com (as per instructed on the portal if the above fails)
- Nokia Messenging successfully downloaded using Phone
- Choose Language
- Choose Install
- ERROR
"Nokia Email
An incompatible version of this product is detected, and has to be uninstalled first"
and i cant continue from here.
Puzzles me as i've not installed any other programmes, its still fresh from the factory with the standard pack of pre-installeds', any advice? appreciate heaps
