Update of installation facts during billing proces

Hello,
At the start of rhe billing process, the system gets all available installation facts and then continues to work then billing scheme with appropriate rates. We have set up a construction whereas an installation fact is being updated only during this billing process (at the start the value is initial); The value of this updated fact is also needed in the same billing run for that specific installation.
Unfortunately, because of the update during the billing proces, this new value is not taken in to account.
Does anyone know if there exists a user-exit that forces the billing program to taken this updated value into account.

Try using parallel processing, this would help increasing the performance. Also try to mimize the commit work, may try doing a commit work only after completion of a child job.

I updated the installation facts via bapi BAPI_UTILINSTALLATION_CHANFACT. No error message was triggered and the changes were written to the change documents. However, when i try to display the installation and the updated facts, it looks like no changes were made... any advice about what could have gone wrong?

Hi,
It’s version 13.1.1 It’s a trial version.
I am updating it from the Creative cloud desktop application.
I have the photography subscription with Lightroom and Photoshop with Creative Cloud.
I was interested in trying out the video software and have trials of Premiere Pro as well as others. The CC desktop app alerted me to the AF update just as it does for the others I subscribe to plus the ones I am using as trials. I have not had any problems with the other apps (trial or not), only with AF.

Price should not be in changable during billing

Dear All,
During sales order user enters the price manually since condtion type is manual. And during billing
the user can change the price because it is in display mode. Please suggest how to restrict price changes in billing.

Hai,
For this, you can ask your Abaper to make the Pricing conditions in a display mode.
Alng with that make the Insert Row, Delete Row and UPDATE icons also as Display.
Since you mentioned you gave the price as a Manual entry, I want to share SAP standard functionalities.
If you don't make it as Display,
1. An User can change the sales order price and at the time of Billing he can Update all the price as per the Sales order.
2. As per Standard SAP an manual entry can be included in the pricing any number of times.
3. If any discount is given then by mistake discount can be given twice.
General advice, maintain price in the condition record and let it flow only from master.

1. For CRM IC Web, use "Contract Management" work center > use "Move" transaction to perform Move Out and Move In
Upon saving, the Move Out contract will be completed for the previous premise, and Move In contract will be created for the new premise. I want to transfer all previous premise's installation facts to new premise at this point of time .
2. For UCES, use "Transfer" radio button >perform Move Out and Move In.
Same, upon saving, the Move Out contract will be completed for the previous premise, and Move In contract will be created for the new premise. I want to transfer all previous premise's installation facts to new premise at this point of time .
Yes i would like implement this in both system.
Appreciate if you could enlighten how can I achieve this.

Match the COGS during delivery and Cost during Billing

We have a Kit Scenario with below parameters
Sales BOM is created
Header Material is Valuated but non-inventorised
Component Material is Valuated and inventorised
In Sales order, Pricing is done at the header material not at the components level
During delivery components are consumed..
During Billing we get only the Cost for the header material (cost coming from Header material master standard price) as billing i sodne only at header
The cost estimate will be run to roll up the component cost to header material standard price.
We need to check if COPA consumption (Header Cost) match with FI consumption (inventory balance for component consumption) every month end. We need to get the actual COGS during delivery in the COPA document during billing.
This is a concern if component is changed during delivery then we will not be able to reconcile FI and CO during month end. We were thinking of creating a new statistical value field to capture this.

Looks like you want to pass the cost of header item as well as components (in a separate value field) to COPA. I suppose you are looking to consolidate the cost of components in one value field.
Verify whether using exit COPA0001 you get an access to reference delivery document and item against which the billing document is getting created. You can then update the total cost of delivery document item and update it in this separate value field.

Software Updated-Based Installation Conundrum

To my understanding, software update-based installation of the Config Manager client agent works by importing it into WSUS (which is a requisite component for the server with the software update point role) where it is classified as a critical
update. So far so good.
However, while a WSUS server can automatically approve an update's installation, the actual download and installation of an update is dependent upon the configuration of a client's Windows Update
policy. This local policy needs to be configured to use the SUP server as its WSUS server, and it likely must have some kind of schedule to download and install the update (unless someone is taking upon themselves the unenviable task of manually
updating computers).
Thus, it would seem to make good sense to use an Active Directory group policy to ensure that these WSUS settings are configured correctly on computers when they join a company's domain. Unfortunately, in my environment we've found that such a
group policy creates a conflict, because once a computer has the Config Manager client, SCCM will then require uncontested control over the Windows Updates policy. The resultant conflict causes update deployments to fail with a "group policy
conflict" error and, worse still, client computers will wind up running two separate SVCHOST processes that result in uncontrolled memory consumption.
I've contacted Microsoft software assurance support on this issue, and they found it no less a catch-22 than I have. I'd be interested to hear how others handle SU-based installation effectively in their environment. I suppose in many places, it's simply
effected on workstation images. In others, perhaps the settings are applied directly as registry edits in group policy preferences. I'd be especially interested to find out if anyone has created a WMI filter than can distinguish clients with the agent from
those without it.

Some of your understanding above is sort of correct. Ultimately, WSUS is *only* used within ConfigMgr to download the update catalog from Microsoft and make it available to clients. That's it. The Windows Update Agent (WUA) is still used, however, it does
so by direction of the ConfigMgr agent which means that nearly all of the settings in group policy for Windows Update are meaningless in a ConfigMgr environment.
Jason, thanks for the response. It seems you're impugning my understanding while simultaneously reiterating my explanation. Either I was unclear, or I'm not grocking the distinction you're trying to draw. Let's see if we can get on the same
page.
To summarize, SU-based installation results in the client being treated as an approved update on the WSUS component, and then it's downloaded and installed according to the schedule defined in the client's Windows Update policy. Once the client
is installed, Config Manager takes over and updates are centrally managed through deployments issued to collections.
However, perhaps where we're having a disconnect is that, going forward, computers which don't have the agent yet still require Windows Update to be configured for them to ensure they download and install it. New computers come into the
environment perpetually. Applying a group policy in AD would seem an ideal solution, but in practice such a policy has created the aforementioned conflict on computers that do have the agent.
I have actually read your blog posts during the course of researching this issue, as well as many others. They largely treat WSUS configuration via AD GPO's as undesirable in concert with SU-based installation (for reasons that you outline) but
they don't concern themselves with how administrators can be assured that new arrivals consistently download and install the client agent via SU-installation method.

Die Installation startet und bricht dann irgendwann zum Ende mit einer Fehlermeldung ab.
Wird das Programm CreativeCloud dann direkt heruntergeladen und gestartet (egal ob normal, oder als Admin), bricht die Installation wieder mit einer Fehlermeldung ab.
Die Meldung lautet:
Folgende Probleme sind aufgetreten: Creative Cloud Desktop konnte nicht installiert werden.
Es ist auch egal, ob eine Firewall läuft oder nicht.
Es ist nur möglich, auf Abbr. zu klicken.
Liebe Leute von Adobe, ich bin echt *GENERVT*.
Diese ganze Cloudsache kostet micht mehr Zeit als mir lieb ist.
Das Programm auf dem Rechner soll einfach nur laufen und nicht ständig mit einem solchen Mist nerven.
Hat da einer eine Lösung?
Wird an einem Update für das Update gearbeitet?
