Update of project planning after change in activity type

Hello Experts,
we are doing manual activity input planning ( CJ40 ) via customer report per year equal to project dates.
This means if we change activity plan price ( KP26 ) in future years, we need to recalculate the planned values in project system.
If we manually change values in CJ40 after changes in KP26 the system calculates the new monetary value in background
Example: Planned on project 10 Hrs a 20€ = 200€ // change price of activity type to 30€ // Plan 1 additional hour in CJ40: Monetary value changes to 11 Hrs a30€ = 330€ and posts +1 Hr with +130€ price difference.
Is there a opinion to adjust/update the monetary value after changes in KP26 without changing plan values?

Hi Frank,
I am not sure what kind of project cost planning you are using.  Usually it is either direct WBS cost planning with CJR2 or cost roll up from Network Activities and Orders or ECP.
The system will take AType price relevant for the period. If you have 100 hours with price 20 for Year N and 50 hours with price 30 for Year N+1, the planned cost will be 2000 + 1500 = 3500.
CJ40 is the Overall Planning, but you still can select a year (as a period). In the Overall view you have no button for Activity Input, it will show up only when you select a year.

    Hi,
    I am working on variant configuration project and I am using the global object dependencies (procedures) to change the BOM item quantities, Operation standatd values and activity types in super bom and super routings. When I use these dependencies BOM quantities and routing standard values are changed but activity types are not updated.
    If anybody have any idea about this, how to use the dependency to update the activity type? or any prgram error / any OSS note for this?

    Hi Venkat,
    As you may be having idea of usage of reference characteristics usage in changing the fields because you are already told that you are able to change the Qty field, same like this you need to have the reference char relevant to this field and table .
    Now the activity type comes from the work center. so you need to change actvity type in work center or you have to change the workcenter ( expected workcenter should have your required activity type) by the object dependency. It's looking a bit thoghtful one. Just think in your functionality it will work.

  • How can I send an update to CRM Middleware after changing BUPA longtext

    Hi folks,
    I am looking for the easiest way to send an update/insert of BP longtext change to SAP CRM Middleware (& MobileSales). I have implemented save of the text with function save_text within of a CRM application for changing bp data.
    Text is available to standard CRM transaction bp, but now updates have been send to subscribed Mobile Sales clients.
    I have already checked the bapi_bupa* functions, but it seems that they contain no notes/longtext segment.

  • Update sales orders status after changing item completion rule

    Hello!
    I've just changed the item completion rule of a given sales document item (from 'B' to blank). But we have several old orders, which have deliveries created with reference, with some fields still open (due to the 'no reference' status at the item level). The orders created after the new condiguration are ok.
    So, is there any way I can update the status of those old orders? Already tried the report SDVBUK00, but did not work out.
    Any ideas are welcome.

    A business entity was created from Architectural Object.
    When we modify the address in the architectural object, the data is not updated in the business entity.
    Is there any solution that make an automatic update for the address in business entity after a change in architectural object ?

    I have created new infopackage and ran. Now the following message I have got on the monitor.
    "Data not received in PSA Table
    Diagnosis
    Data has not been updated in PSA Table . The request is probably still running or there was a short dump.
    Procedure
    In the short dump overview in BW, look for the short dump that belongs to your data request. Make sure the correct date and time are specified in the selection screen.
    You can use the wizard to get to the short dump list, or follow the menu path "Environment -> Short dump -> In Data Warehouse".
    Removing errors
    Follow the instructions in the short dump."

  • Name server not updated in development configuration after change of SLD

    Hi Guys
    Hope you can help me with this one.
    We have moved our SLD from one server to another.
    After this we changed the name server in NWDI and in NWDS.
    In NWDS i removed the development configuration and reimported it, but when I do this, a popup box shows the details of the development configuration and the name server is still the old SLD server. This means that when I start the NWDS I get an error saying that the name server host is unreachable.
    Where do I change this?
    I found out that the name server is setup in the .confdef file under .dtc\0 in the field called name-server-url. If I change this manually in the file, it works. But if I remove the development configuration and reimport it again, I am taken back to the old name server again.
    It seems as if something has to be changed in NWDI, but I can't figure out what.
    Can anybody help?

    I would proceed as follows:<br><br>
    -  login to your new SLD<br>
    -  go to the technical systems in the landscape area of the SLD<br>
    -  in the filter drop down select AS JAVA<br>
    - check if your NWDI has reported to this SLD in the last 12 or 24 hours, you can check this on the "last update" column<br>
    - if your system has reported to this sld the last few hours this is good if not go to the step "change J2ee to new sld" i will descirbe later.<br>
    - remember the name of the system here. it is like sid on dbhostname.<br>
    -  got to sld administration (link on top) choose content maintenace in administration<br>
    - in the subset filter select "All with instances" as class set SAP AS JAVA Cluster<br>
    - you should find your system there. click on it.<br>
    - in the new screen find a link in the middle top <nr> associated instances -> click it<br>
    - in the next screen you will see the relationship of the technical system to the rest of the sld data.<br>
    - there should be a topic called "hosted application server"<br>
    - the should be an entry like: system landscape directory: sld on sid on server -> click it<br>
    - here you will see the data for this hosted system. You can find the cim/url definig the SLD you will find the roles. Landscape and name server should assigend and so on here you can chage the SLD url. <br><br>
    You can although proceed as follows. This as well requieres you nwdi to report and use this sld in j2ee see below if not.<br>
    - on sld startscreen choose landscapes in the landscapes part of sld<br>
    - select landscape type nwdi systems<br>
    - if there is no landscape you can create one<br>
    - in the landscape ypu can assinge systems. The sld should be availabel to choose.<br>
    - once in the landscape you can view the system and you can change the CIM Server url and the roles there aswell its just another view on the content.<br>

    you can although check:<br>
    - open name reservation from develpoment part of start screen<br>
    - here you should find a button about enabling or disabling the sld for nwdi usege. this should be of course enabled...<br>

    - an overview page will show up.<br>
    - select the http settings tab in the lower middle.<br>
    - https settings will tell the j2ee where to report to. Verify the data and change if needed. use the lightinigbolt button on top to transfer data to the sld. have a little patiance if your data is not shown immediately in your sld,. it may take 1-2 minutes until it is shown in the gui.<br>
    - switch to cim client generation tab. those paraemters will tell your j2ee from what sld to read data from. It is important to understand that you may report to one sld but to read from antioher. depending on your sld landscape. The CIm CLient should use the same Sld as your NWDI uses in CMS setting.<br>
    - if all is setup. do a cim client test.<br>

  • Updating Color Project with Edit Changes in FCP

    Hi,
    My apologies if this topic as been discussed already and thanks for any input.
    So I finished a project in Color recently and the director then changed the edit in FCP. Some of the clips were either pulled or trimmed.
    Can I avoid starting from scratch since the edit change a tiny bit?
    Is their any way Color will can reimport the new (updated) sequence without losing all the grading I've already done

    If the clip order and layer hierarchy are identical, then New Project, Import Color Corrections.
    If the clip order changes, there may be a slight chance that Reconform will work, but up until version 1.04, this will only be successful with single-layer only sequences. I am told that version 1.5 has a better chance of success.
    If there are only slight changes, then do a "difference" sequence, save the grades for those shots from your original COLOR project and then re-grade the changed shots, to reconform them into the (from COLOR) sequence.

  • Update of SD Documents after Change in Risk category

    Dear Friends,
    I have a situation in Credit Management.
    Initially when the Customer master was set up, this customer was set as Risk category "New" to which the credit limit maintained is 1 USD.
    This customer is having now some Open Orders, Open Scheduling Agreements. The Risk category in the Sd documents is "New" No issues.
    Subsequently now the customer credit rating is improved and in FD32, the Risk category is changed from "New" to "A" which means customer is having some X (say 100,000 USD) amount of Credit Limit.
    My Question is How can I update the Old Open Orders and Scheduling Agreement with latest Credit data ? I tried F.28 or Prog RFDKLI20, but it dose not update the Risk category in old documents.
    Please help me if anyone knows any transaction or program.

    Any change in the Credit master sheet, you need to run RVKRED07/77 for correcting the credit value. Hope this helps.

  • Existing SCUP updates fail to install after changing the certificate.

    Hi,
    Recently our certificate we use to sign updates published from SCUP expired. Unfortunately we didn't have the box ticked to supply a timestamp with each publish so it resulted in us republishing everything with a new certificate.
    When the update is new and has never been published before, a client Pc can download and install the new update with the new cert completely fine. The problem lies with updates that had to be re-signed. Each time they try and install I get 0x80091007 The
    hash value is not correct.
    I assume this is because the package still has the previous update with the old cert in it - I have redistributed the package and am still seeing the issue...
    Has anyone else experienced it or have any ideas of how I can tackle this?

    "A software update (the binary) can only be published once to WSUS.  If you change the signing certificate, you will then also want to resign that binary by publishing it with the resign option (in Advanced settings)."

  • How to update (free) IOS apps after changing Apple ID

    So I inherited my daughter's phone when she upgraded and I switched everything over to my Apple ID (iCloud, App Store, iTunes, etc.)
    Now, it refuses to update apps -- even free ones like facebook, instagram, twitter -- unless I provide the password to HER Apple ID (presumably because she downloaded them under her ID.
    Apart from deleting and re-installing, is there a way to do this?

    Apps are tied to the Apple ID used to purchase/download them.   And will always require it to update, there's no way to get around that.
    For free Apps, you can delete them, and re-download them with your Apple ID with out any issues.    Purchased Apps will need to be bought and payed for with your Apple ID.

  • Slow execution after change of entity types

    Because EDM designer generated all number columns as properties of decimal type (I wrote a Use more dot.net types when generate model ) I manually changed types from decimal to (Int32 and Int64), the result is a lot of casts in generated sql and this impacts on query execution
    A query that runs for 20seconds now runs for 110 seconds.
    Example:
    Before (with decimal types)

    In the beggining I have a simple question: do you have "Oracle Data Guard" (or Standby) enabled and running?
    If it's true, can you check this standby is running well?
    If it's false, can you see your database parameters to disable it?
    (please, check LOGSTDBY$PARAMETERS and V$PARAMETER views)
    I've checked your files and it's quite rare. Can you restrict your query to few data (or few tablespaces)?
    After:
    I've checked yor AWR report and I can see this as first "Top 5 events":
    Statistic Name Time (s) % of DB Time
    DB CPU 1,346.59 96.76
    Result: your CPU is doing another thing while your were waiting to the data.
    Possible solution: try to reduce process on this machine or try to launch "important SQLs" at low hours.

    Just updated my Apple Id after changing my e- mail address. All was fine until I tried to update the iCloud settings on my iPhone and iPad. Both are asking me to turn off Find my IPhone (iPad) but keeping presenting me with my old Apple id which won't work. Anyone know how to do it? Thanks

    I've seen this before, if I were you, change your appleid to the previous email address if you can, then try it.
    Then sign out of that apple id completely all over the phone and ipad, e.g. imessage, facetime, icloud etc etc.
    Then change it
    Then log back in again

  • IDVD not reflecting/updating iMovie project changes

    Hello all:
    Correct me if I'm wrong here but when using the "Share to iDVD" option I remember the previous version of iDVD recognized and updated the project when a change(s) had been made in the iMovie project- it would display a message that the "assets had been changed" and update accordingly.
    This doesn't seem to be happening with my installation and so every time I update my iMovie project I have to start with a fresh iDVD theme which is very frustrating if it was just a small modification.
    Maybe I have an option turned off - I'm not sure but would appreciate your thoughts.

    There is a BUG in iDVD that prevent return to adjust material then come back to iDVD
    for further work.
    • When done that - iDVD will notice it and ask You to Up-date or Cancel
    Neither works eg Chapters will point to same start etc
    Medicine - only as I understands it is - Start a brand new iDVD project and re-do.

  • Master Project Plan is not updatineg

    I'm running in a situation where I have a master plan with sub-projects, the master plan will not show the updated sub-project plans in the web app until you open the master project in project professional and expand the sub-project summary task every time
    it get an update, then you have to publish the master plan, then the master project will show the date changes in the web app.
    Is there a way to make the updates on sub projects show up on the master project immediately without going through all that?

    It appears so.  I have not extensively used master projects in Project Server 2013, so I will gladly invite the others in this forum to correct me if my answer to you is wrong.  For me personally, I have never expected the behavior you expect from
    PWA.  My habit is always to open the master project in Microsoft Project after updates are applied, expand all of the subprojects, and begin doing variance analysis.  The process of applying updates will inevitably cause variances, which need to
    be known and addressed.  After doing that, only then would I save and publish the latest schedule changes.  In fact, I would recommend this approach as a best practice for you as well!  Hope this helps.

  • How assignmnt finish date is calculated in project plan

    We enable Single Entry Mode, protect acutals in our environments, and during our testing, we found that the Finish date of the task is auto re-calculated while the hours input is diffferently from the planned hours. And we have tested with different scenarios:
    Fixed Work, Fixed Duration, Fixed Units etc, but we still do not understand the exact calculation logic of the new Finish date.
    Does Microsoft have any document descrbing this logic?

    Hi Kevin,
    It is normal that the finish date is recalculated by Project. When the team member enter actual work starting later from the start date, after the task update is approved and the project published, Project pushes the actual work, updates the actual start
    date then recalculate the finish date based. 
    This is actually why you do use a project planning software as Microsoft Project: you want the application to help you forecasting your project dates. If you do not want Project to recalculate, then you miht consider using a simpler tool like Excel.
    Basically the process is that the team member gives the information that the task started later than planned, the project manager approves the start date and the actual work. Project calculates the planned finish date. But the last step is very important:
    the project manager should review how did MS Project do the recalculation and update the project plan with the remaining work and eventually add or move resources on assignments to adjust the capacity and delivery dates based on priority.
