Update overheats SIM card

any answers on the overheating and other issues caused by the update to galaxy threes? My S3 used to be good but after the update it overheats (not the battery) and cannot lock onto coverage, among other problems. The store blows me off and claims it is the battery

Is this to KIt Kat I presume, It's been an OS with big issues for some possibly all phones in one way or another, the only few suggestions that might possibly help is to Run a System Cache it can as kind of works as a clean for your phone or you may have to run a Factory Reset if haven't already.  I would say until and update come out to fix the one your phone updated to there not to much you can do..
I had to replace a phone back in Feb. because of K.K. my replacement still has Jelly Bean on it..  Hope this Helps b33

  • How do you update the SIM card on your account?

#1. < Edited for language by Host >
I just thought that needed to be said.
I had a texting problem with my iPhone and found out after 6 hours on the phone that I needed to get a new SIM card. I went to the store and picked it up. I asked them to help me activate the iPhone with the new SIM card. The people at AT&T tell me they can't touch my iPhone. ***? Why sell it then?! Well anyways...They tell me I need to go home and get on iTunes and update the SIM card on my account. I have been looking for 2 hours now and can't figure out how to do this.
If anyone could tell me how to update the SIM card on my account, it would be so greatly appreciated.
Thanks all. Sorry for the venting up there.

You just install the new SIM card into your phone and then attach the phone to your computer using the dock or USB cable like you normally would. The phone will be recognized by iTunes and activated for use with your new SIM. (It's just like the fast re-activation that happens after you do a restore. If you blink, you'll probably miss it.)
If you've plugged your phone in and now it's sitting there saying "iPhone sync complete", then it's done.

  • How to resolve new update causing sim card to fail?

Does anyone have any idea how to solve the problem with this update causing the sim card to fail?

I could only confirm what didn't help in my case:
    - removing card was working only for 2-3 weeks
    - replacing sim card didn't help
    - rebooting device didn't help neither
    - reseting device - te same story.
It is widely reported issue for iPhone 4, iPhone 4s, iPad2, iPad mini after upgrade to IOS 7.0.6 or 7.0.3
Funny is that in my case only SIM card from not supported by Apple GSM operator works (I've tested about 12 SIMs).

  • Iphone 5, after 8.3 update, "no SIM card installed"  alert began.

after 8.3 update, my phone alerts me with a "no sim card installed", i reboot my iphone, it works for minutes then same problem, and i'm sure that's caused by the last update.
Your wars with jailbreakers stuff aren't our problem, please throw your updates without crashing our iphones.

I am having this same issue. I upgraded a brand new iphone 4, unlocked, never been jailbroken or anything like that, and after i downloaded ios 5 and upgraded the phone to it, i'm getting "SIM not valid. Only compatible SIM cards from a supportted Carrier may be used to activate iphone. Please insert the SIM card that came with your iPhone or visit a supported Carrier's store to receive a replacement SIM card".
    No idea what to do....
    Any help is welcome!

  • IPhone 5 Sim Card - Updated or Deleted?

Hi, Can you delete or at least update your SIM card from the iPhone 5. If anyone knows how, would be good to know. Thanks

What are you asking. The carrier is the only one that does anything with the SIM card. The iPhone does not write or read data to the SIM, with the exception of being able to import existing contact information on the SIM.

  • How do i update to the latest ios7 without sim card

I tried to update me old iphone 4 that doesn't have any sim.
I am using this phone as a security camera and was wondering how can I achieve the update without sim card.
Any help is appreciated. PS I tried the one in google (ios7 beta) but in the latest version it wouldn't work
    Thanks in advance

Beta software is not discussed here as it is only for paid developers to discuss in the developers forum and anybody who is not a paid developer has an illegal copy.
In terms of updating this can be done by either method shown in the article below:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4623
Note: you will be able to update but you wont be able to activate the iPhone as it needs a sim to activate.

  • 5310 XpressMusic: not recognizing SIM card when tu...

    Hi,
Just got a 5310 XpressMusic earlier this month. Using the SIM card from my old phone (~ 3 years old).
If I shut the 5310 off and restart it, it'll come up with a screen that says something like:
OK to start without SIM card? Accept / Reject.
If you select Accept, the phone starts but you basically can't do anything useful with it. Reject, and the phone shuts off.
If I open up the case and press down on the SIM card while I turn the phone on, it starts up normally and the phone continues to work even when I slide the back plate back on and use it normally.
So my problem is basically solved, but I don't feel that this should be happening with a brand new phone. However, perhaps the problem is more with the SIM card; is it too old? Has anyone else had similar problems?
    thanks
    d

you may need to update the sim card as some settings such as wap are based on card like to send mms etc bring it to shop with network your on they should update sim for free

  • Nokia 7100 and old SMS messages on SIM card

    Dear all,
I just bought my wife the Nokia 7100 and she very happy with it. One strange thing with this phone is that it does not recognize the old SMS messages that are still on the SIM card. Is there a way to make them visible and copy them to the phone?
    Thanks for your help
    Patrick

i do not believe so, current sim card do not store any text messages unless they are service messages, i suggest that you update your sim card as it appears to be well into age in technology years. you can try to acess sim card messages in the messaging folder and select the option to copy messages into phone memory or memory card if such option exists but again im not sure that there is such opiton. if you do have the sim message option, select left side option key scroll down to copy and you just might be able to copy it to the inbox. let us know what happens.
You know what I love about you the most, the fact that you are not me ! In love with technology and all that it can offer. Join me in discovery....

  • HT4623 my iphone doesn't work here in Albania after i made an update,it says that u have to change ur Sim Card cuz does not work with ur Carrier...what do i do?

Hpls help me ,my iphone does not work after i updated and restore it..it says that u have to change ur Sim Card..cuz the carrier that u use its not known
But it has worked perfectly before the update!

Your iPhone was almost certainly jailbroken to unlock it from the original carrier. Restoring the iPhone has now removed that jailbreak and the iPhone has relocked back to the original carrier. Only that carrier can authorize an official, permanent unlock, so you will need to contact that original carrier and ask if you would qualify for unlocking.
    Regards.

  • HT4623 please help me when update my i phone 3G i finish update but face problem , appear me msg There is no SIM card installed in the iPhone You ar attempting to activate. Please disconnect

please help me < when update my i phone 3G < i finish update but face problem , appear me msg There is no SIM card installed in the iPhone You ar attempting to activate. Please disconnect

Sounds like your phone was hacked to use with your carrier.  Updating it has relocked the phone to it's original carrier.  You will not get the phone working again without a SIM from the original carrier.

  • I updated my iphone and when it came time for activation it won't work and keeps telling me to try again. At the top it says "No Service" and I have my SIM card in and a good WiFi connection and have connected it through iTunes but it says I have no SIM

I updated my iphone and when it came time for activation it won't work and keeps telling me to try again. At the top it says "No Service" and I have my SIM card in and a good WiFi connection and have connected it through iTunes but it says I have no SIM card and need to disconnect and insert my SIM. I don't understand why this keeps happening and it's been going on for a wile now. I have tried over and over again to get this iPhone to work but nothig is happening. I've even gone on the website for support (apple.com/support) but cannot find anything that will help me with this situation. Can someone please help me find a solution to this problem? I have been without a phone and do not have money to buy another one and it is crucial for me to get it fixed. Thanks.

What computer operating system is involved in the Premiere Elements 11 and 13 issues? Same computer or different ones? Are you installing from purchased download installation files or from purchased installation disc? Does Premiere Elements 11 work completely on this computer whereas 13 will not?
Let us go through the typical drill so as to take nothing for granted.
    1. Does the problem exist with or without the antivirus and firewall(s) disabled? Are you working with an individual home computer or in a
    school or company network?
    2. Are you running the program as Administrator and is there any "domain" account involved?
    3. Is your video card/graphics card up to date according to the web site of the manufacturer of the card?
    4. Do you have the latest version of QuickTime installed on the computer with Premiere Elements?
Let us start by ruling in or out any of the above, and then we can decide what next.
Any questions or need clarification, please do not hesitate to ask.
    Thank you.

  • Updated my iphone 3gs to the 5 ios and now my phone wont read my sim card when i reacticate it

updated my iphone 3gs to the 5 ios and now my phone wont read my sim card when i reactivate it.
Every time i connect it to itunes all it says is "There is no SIM card installed in the iphone you are attempting to activate." Even thought there is a sim card connected in my phone.

Is the SIM from a supported carrier?
Is the device carrier locked, officially unlocked, or hacked to be unlocked?
Has the SIM been reseated?  If not, try that.
Also, basic troubleshooting is reset, restart, restore.  Has any of that been tried?
