Update package for LMS2.1......

My versions are a bit out-of-whack with the current shipping LMS2.2, so I'm wondering if May's Minor Update relase will get me back to current versions...? Is the p/n for that, CWLMS-MAY03-MR-K9?

Here's the product bulletin for the details.

According to the above URL CWLMS-MAY03-MR-K9 has the description: ' May 2003 minor update kit for customers on LMS 1.X and 2.X for Windows and Solaris; Includes CM 3.3, RME 3.5, RTM 1.4 SP6, DFM 1.2 with IDU 1.2.3, CV 5.5 and Common Services 2.2; Customers with LMS 1.X will not be able to install DFM 1.2. • Update packages for newbie in a non-global zone

    Hi,
I'm new on this forum and i'm a newbie. Recently, I have install OpenSolaris and I have install a non-global zone (big-zone). So, I can install new packages manually in my non-global zone with a terminal but i don't know if it's possible to use the package manager (same tool when i'm log on my global zone in a gnome-session).
I don't know if it's possible to install gnome in a non-global zone because it's more easy to me to use the package manager tool in a graphical mode. It's very long to write a command for each package that i want update.
Thanks a lot in advance and sorry for my english.

I know of patchadd -G, it is used when one has downloaded the pathch already. I was looking for an automated patch procedure. I use the java gui upadate manager in the global zone but it will not patch the Java Communications Suite installed in a sparse zone.
Sparse zones are more than really cool. I have entire comms suite installed in a zone with SMF for all the components, anything siezes up and it's a few minutes to reboot, piece of cake. Allows me to use one host server whilst all webserver / application instances are on port 80.

  • Software update package for SnowLeopard on April 1st?

Hi. Am new to this forum. This is my first post.
I got a message about software updates while connected in an aiport lounge on April 1st. I made the mistake of accepting without checking what was in the package. It turned out to be a rather big package, and though the WiFi connection was fast it took about 10 min to download. When shutting down to restart after download, the blue screen with the little spinning wheel just stayed on for 15-20 minutes - so finally I shut down the computer and restarted.
The problem is that this update does not display in System Settings where all previously installed updates are listed.
Any idea what this update was and why it doesn't show?
Should I roll my system back to before I got this update using Time Machine?
Thanks in advance for you help!

    Welcome to Apple Discussions.
It sounds like you shut down too quickly, while it was installing. Fortunately the 10.6.3 update can be rerun and it should pick up where it left off. But under the circumstances I think you'd be better off with The standalone 10.6.3 Combo Update
Let us know. And yes, it is a large download.

  • How to get Cumulative Update packages for SQL Server Compact v3.5 SP2 for use on a Windows Mobile device

There are links on the pages for various Cummulative Updates for SQL Compact v3.5 SP2 which look to relate to the desktop version, but are these also available for Windows Mobile devices?  If so, what is the process to get hold of them?
We are seeing intermittent problems with corrupted databases on devices which are using SQL Compact v3.5 SP2 and have seen that some of the Cumulative Updates do relate to corruption and would like to see if these can help to solve the issue.

Just select the KB article, at the top of each there is a link to request a hotfix, you will then get a email with a download link. The 8088 and 8109 hotfixes also apply to Windows Mobile.

    Hi Sean Liming ,
The main purpose is to download all the updates for specific system version image ,right ?
I haven`t heared about such an official released tool to do this .
As for the API ,I have found a tool based on this API developed by our MSDN guys to install the updates ,but I am afraid it doesn`t meet your need.

I am trying to update ITunes from 10.4 to 10.5 I have tried from both the program, and from a download on Apple's website. Regardless, I get the following error messages: (1) Installation package for iTunes cannot be found. Try installing to find the installation package 'iTunes.msi' in a folder from which you can install iTunes.  I can't find this folder. I have tried to completely unistall iTunes through the Control Panel, but it wouldn't let me: I tried going directly to the files themselves, but cannot uninstall. Any help would be greatly appreciated. System OS: Win XP SP 3.

Set the permissions for Everyone in the folder in which CCPackager created, to "Read/Write" enabled. This is strange since there is only an administrator account on the Mac (and that account already has read/write), but it seems to resolve the issue.

I mean you may try this following procedure for this error.
    Search the init IP
    1.     Double click in the IP
    2.     Scheduler menu
    3.     Click in Initialization options for source system
Select and delete the only entry ( INIT) .
Now go to Source systems -
    > right click your source system----> replicate.
Activate your transfer rules, using program RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL
now try to perform Init again.
    It will work.

  • Change deployment package for software updates

    Hi there
Currently we have different deployment packages and software update groups based on year, product, etc.
In the near future i'd like to rearange our software deployment process in configuration manager 2012:
1x Deployment Package for all updates
1x "Full" Software Update Groups with all updates in it. Additional to that we'll create a "Diff" Software Update Group at the Patchday and merge the updates later via edit membership in the "Full" Software Update Group.
Are the following steps which i would perform correct?
    1. Select all updates which are deployed and not expired and not superseeded
    2. Create a new Software Update Group "Full"
    3. Select the new Software Update Group --> Download --> Create my new deployment package
    4. Deploy the new software update group to my collections
    5. Delete the obsolete software update groups / deployment package
    6. Delete the old updates source folders on our filer.
I current don't know if the redownload process let the updates "forget" the old deployment package. With the above described steps i should get rid of all expired and superseeded updates.
    Thanks for any advice :-)
    Regards,
    Simon

That is correct they only receive and install the updates they require, but don't confuse the metadata and deployments with the updates themselves. They will still receive the metadata and the policies for every update you deploy to them and that's where
the problem lies. Each and every update assigned to a client (using a deployment) has it's own policy which of course must be downloaded by the client and stored in WMI causing the bloat. Note that I haven't experienced this first-hand but am relying on the
accounts of others here in the forums but to me, if there is any chance of this being an issue, I would avoid it.
For Update Groups, just a few categories is sufficient to break things up and I typically do three: workstations, server, office. These are often on different patching schedules anyway so it makes sense to have three separate ADRs for them anyway.
For packages, I typically organize based on the calendar creating a new package every 3-6 months with the package containing all updates. There's really no need to divide the package up by product unless you have DPs dedicated to a specific product. Note
that pre-R2, to change the package an ADR referenced you had to use PowerShell -- it's been added into the GUI in R2 though.

  • Can we make one package for Multiple OS Updates

    Hi All,
In my environment possess windows Server 2003 and 2012 (newly added 2012), recently we have added 2012 server for our environment so we suppose to push security updates from SCCM.
already we have created one package for Windows updates (for server 2003), if we added 2012 security updates also in to this package it will be impact to other OS ? or it will be deploy to complaint devices only ?
Appreciated if you  could resonances to this
    Thank you

    Hi,
It will only be installed on the computers that macth the detection rule of the update, so yes you can have updates for more than on OS in the Software Update Group / Package

What kind of gobbledegook is that?  Are you or Microsoft crazy.  Us computer users need simpler instructions.  Or you need to write your programs so that they work.

    (1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):
    http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
    (2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
    (3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
    (4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
    (5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

  • Can't update device package for adobe DC in cd photo shop CS3 beta)

i've installed device central from CD Photoshop CS3 BETA ,
the problem is i can not install new device package for the file
that download from net , and it always shown ( the file update is
too new for this version of adobe device central ).... somebody
    help me please ?

I am pretty sure that the Device Central that came with
Photoshop CS3 BETA is different from the official release of Device
Central that comes with CS3 products.
I had Photoshop CS3 BETA and DC working. Then I bought a
licenced copy of Flash CS3 and Device Central. The new device
package installed perfectly on the newer version of DC. However,
now that I have installed the new Device Central, I can't launch DC
from Photoshop CS3 BETA—it gives me an error.
That said, DC works great—with the update—but
only via Flash CS3 (or some other official launch product).

There doesn't exist an SQL Express "Standard". It's two different editions.
For Express there are three 32bit/64bit editions:
Express, Express with Tools and Express with Advanced Services.
Express with Tools is essentially Express with Management Studio Tools, Express with Advanced Services adds also BI (Business Intelligence) + Reporting Services.
As for where you can apply the cumulative update, on the link you can see this:
Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Service Pack 2, when used with:
Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Analysis Services
            Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Developer
            Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Enterprise
            Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Express
Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Business Intelligence
