Update Patch wont install

Have just downloaded Photoshop CS6 13.1 update for mac but on running the update it fails too install! Tried several attempts but to no avail!

Do you receive any error messages?  Have you reviewed the installation logs for the updates?  If not you can find directions on how to accomplish this at Troubleshoot with install logs | CS5, CS5.5, CS6 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cs5-cs5.html.

  • Applying all update\patches during 'install software update' step

    Hi,
I have created software update group (around 10 updates\patches) and deploy it to 'unknown computers' collection. Ts 'Install software update' step scans through and only installs 2 updates out of 10. I have kept deploy property as 'required' while publishing
on 'unknown computers' and 'install software update' has 'All Software update' selected (other option is mandatory update'). I want to have all the 10 required update to be installed . any idea what should be the settings on 'deploy' prperty for software group
that install all the updates in the group during 'install software update' step? Any pointers will be appreciated
    Regards,

    Hi,
Yes , they need a reboot and reboot is happening automatically. I believe, once reboot is done, other patches should take over with installation. I don't see any information for another updates that are part of same software group. For these 2 succefully
installed updates log has below that indicates they reboot and finish.
    WUHandler has log:

  • Fresh install and update patch problems 119060-17 , 122213-10 , 122912-02

Just yesterday, i installed a fresh Solaris 10 x86 onto some pc hardware. After getting solaris installed and issues with my network card, i downloaded and installed the free version of the update manager 1.0.x. Next, i proceeded to update all the general patches for the solaris 10 system. I started with the command 'pprosvc -i' from a terminal. It then proceeded to download and validate a bunch of patches successfully until it hit the following 3 patches:
    119060-17 ---- X11 6.6.2_x86: Xsun patch
    122213-10 ---- GNOME 2.6.0_x86: GNOME Desktop Patch
    122912-02 ---- SunOS 5.10_x86: Apache 1.3 Patch
All 3 failed some kind of validation and then crashed the pprosvc program, at which point it exited with the following error:
    122912-02 cannot be validated
    119060-17 cannot be validated
    122912-02 cannot be validated
Unexpected Failure: java.lang.Throwable: ERROR: Failed to validate the digital signature(s).
I also tried to use the GUI Update Manager to update, hoping the problem was isolated to pprosvc, but that problem was also in the GUI with a similar error message:
Error occurred...The detailed error message is: Unexpected Failure: java.lang.Throwable: ERROR: Failed to validate the digitial signature(s)
Anyone know why Sun's update patch process is so troublesome?
    Getting Tired of Solaris Updates...
I should mention that this is the free solaris 10 x86 install and i don't have a service contract with Sun. If this problem persists, i don't think i'll get one, as i see only further problems after buying one.
    tired and confused

    Hi,
    There is an issue with this that is currently being investigated. There is another thread that may shed some light on what is happening here;
    http://forum.sun.com/jive/forum.jspa?forumID=316
Thread title is : Sun UC, Digitally Signed Patches Using New Verisign Certificates
In the short-term please ensure that the patch mentioned in it is installed.
To quote part of mentioned thread above:
"Once the Sun Update Connection client software is upgraded with patch 121118-06 (SPARC) or 121119-06 (x86/x64) or later revisions normal behavior will resume. "
    If this fails to resolve your problem, would you be kind enough to post the output of the following command for analysis please;
    # showrev -p | egrep -e '121454|121119|120336|121082|121564|122232|119789'

  • Scout wont update or re-install to 1.1.0.0

Scout wont update or re-install to 1.1.0.0.  (from 1.0 I presume)
All routes take me through Adobe Application Manager.
It claims to download and unpack okay, and then gets to 2% of the actual install.
I've run AAM with and without Admin priviliges, with and without Sophos Antivirus (Behavioural and On-access scanning options).
    All I ever get is:
    Exit Code: 7
Please see specific errors below for troubleshooting. For example,  ERROR:
    -------------------------------------- Summary --------------------------------------
    - 0 fatal error(s), 3 error(s)
    ----------- Payload: Adobe Scout CC 1.1.0.0 Adobe Scout.msi_1.1 -----------
ERROR: The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2739.
ERROR: Install MSI payload failed with error: 1603 - Fatal error during installation.
MSI Error message: The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2739.
ERROR: Third party payload installer Adobe Scout.msi failed with exit code: 1603

I did just that on Win 7, and I got:
The module 'jscript.dll was loaded but the call to
DllRegisterServer failed with error code 0x80004005
Which a quick search tells you to run this from an admin account:
    Open the Start menu.
    Type 'cmd' in the searchbox
    when it finds 'cmd.exe'...
right-click it and 'Run as administrator...'
Now you can type 'regsvr32 jscript.dll'
...and you will get a 'succeeded' alert box.
Scout now updates and starts fine now.  Thanks!

  • Pro applications update wont install

    pro applications update wont install
has anyone had this problem, or does anyone know a solution?

I'm having this same problem. After installing Logic Studio last night I ran Software Update which updated my software but skipped ProApplications Update 2007-1. It went straight to ProApplications Update 2007-2 and told me there was an error installing Update 2007-1. So I came here, downloaded Updated 2007-1 on its own and installed it without a problem. Now whenever I run Software Update it tries to install ProApplications Updated 2007-2 but tells me there is an error. I tried the link to the update and am redirected to a Final Cut Studio page and asked for my Final Cut Studio serial number--but I don't have Final Cut Studio. I have Logic Studio.
Any suggestions on how to rectify this?

  • Aurora update wont install

Aurora is trying to install update 30.0a2. It downloads a 3.4 mB file but the install fails. It then downloads the 36mb file which still wont install.
If I try and download from scratch I run the file firefox-30.0a2.en_US.win32.installer-stub.exe. When that runs I get a message in 7 -zip "cannot create temp archive folder"
    where next

    Hi,
Have you tried running the install file as Administrator? Right click > Run as administrator
Also, try downloading the full version instead of the compressed installer
    *http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-mozilla-aurora/
You want the ''firefox-30.0a2.en-US.win32.installer.exe'' located near the bottom.
P.S. This error message comes from the stub file that tries to unpack the archive to start the installation and creates a folder in the temp folder to do this and seems to fail to complete this operation.

  • Reformatted Computer but Software Updates Wont Install

I just took my macbook pro to the apple store yesterday and they said there was a software issue and they wiped out the whole computer. I got it back and reinstalled the applications disc and did a software update but it wont install. The error message says that the files could have been corrupted during downloading and it will check for updates the next time around....i tried about 3 times and the same result. any suggestions?

Which application discs and software updates are you writing about? Are these 3rd-party apps or the Apple supplied ones? Are the updates from the Software Update program? Did you try checking SU out at the store? Do you have a bootable backup./clone or Time Machine backup of your previous installation? Many missing details.

  • The phone wont install update

I have tried soft and hardreset but it wont reset my phone....i have downloaded preveiw for developers update and now the update is not installing...it only shows 2 gears rotatating for past 7 hours with no progress

If this also doesn't help, try Nokia Software Recovery Tool. Note that you will lose all the data and need to re-setup the phone from start ...Failing this too, you need to visit Nokia Care.

trying to update ipod touch 5th gen..it got downloaded but it wont install and now some of the apps wont open..im stumped

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

  • Mac OS X 10.4.6 (intel) update wont install

This update wouldnt work through the auto update, and wont work from the website..
it gets to about 30% installed/verified then says an unexpected error has occoured - getting very annoyed now.

    Hello pez:
If you have not already done so, you should have a good backup/restore strategy. I make bootable clones (on an external firewire drive) of my iMacs before every software update. I use a little program called SuperDuper ($28 US at www.shirt-pocket.com). In that way, I always have a retreat position in case of hardware or software problems.
The failure of the disk repair was where I was headed - you probably have directory problems. If Apple's repair disk does not fix the problem, the next thing I would suggest is to use a robust third party program. Many people here (including me) use DiskWarrior (pricey at about $90 US, but very very good).
You do need to fix the problems.
You should also run the hardware checker that came with your software to rule out hardware problems. If you installed third party memory, remove it and see if the problem goes away. If all else fails, I would then consider an archive and install:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=107120
A&I will install a fresh copy of OS X while preserving your programs, files, and settings. Do back up before you do any software changes.
As an aside, the software update feature is not at the root of your problems. That feature has worked very well for many iterations of releases. I do not, however, let anything happen on my computers automatically - I always look to see what is going to happen first.
