Update Prices on External services.

Dear users,
In one of our requirements, when we create a maintenance order in IW31, we need to ensure that the prices on the External services are updated according to the price of the Vendor.
If that did not make any sense, then here's the detailed description:
On creating an Order, we determine the Vendor to be put on the External tab of the Operation. At this stage, a list of External services required are populated and we need to update the price as per the rates offered by this vendor. Through transaction, all we do is select the Service and click on Conditions button (button with a $ and ¥ sign!
Thanks,
Vijay.

Agreed,
But in some cases the prices are negotiated by month. This mean that if you plan some work in January at 100Euros, but don't perform the work until February, then the price may have changed to 120Euros.
Since this is the agreed contract price, then the PO needs to be updated...
They may need to create a bespoke ABAP program which searches for the inconsistencies

  • External services moved, but SOA suite still gives "no route to host"

We have a SOA Suite integrating towards external services. The external service provider moved the services to a different server, and updated dns entries to reflect this move. But our SOA Suite gave "no route to host" errors when this move was performed, clearly not reloading the changes done in DNS, but still using the old address.
How and where can the SOA Suite be configured to actually time out domain name resolutions, when external services are moved this way. Can we ask it to use hostname instead of ip address.
Bouncing the servers is of course working, but there must be a configuraiton way around this.
bouncing production servers is the final resort.

also check for firewalls on the server - a good test would be to an attempt to telnet into webservice hostname and portnumber from the SOA Server.

  • Job error in external Service when printing from Google Cloud: HP Laserjet Professional P 1102w

I have set up my printer and associated it with Google Cloud Printing. I have shared the printer with my daughter who is on a chromebook. When she tries to print, the printer is there and the job is sent to ePrint bu I get an error saying: "job error in external service". No documents are able to print. Google says this is an HP problem.
I have deleted the printer on my daughters account and re-shared it and reassociated it, but this does not help. On my printers page, my daughter's google account is identified as "allowed to print". But it still doesnt work. Any ideas?
    This question was solved.

    Hello mapuche,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
Will the Laserjet P1102w accept an ePrint from any / all other areas? For example, if (on the Chromebook) you open an Email, forward the Email to the printers ePrint address, will it print?
Try logging into HPConnected, under Devices, click Settings> Open to Anyone.
Try sending a print via Google Cloud Print now with this setting enabled, let me know if it sends the print through. I have seen this straighten many issues out.
Would not be a bad idea to check for firmware updates on the printer too: HP LaserJet P1102w Firmware Update Utility<---A USB connection and Windows computer is needed.

  • Entity Services: readByCustomKeys operation mapped to External Service

    Hello *,
in my CAF application I'd like to read a product from SAP PLM. Within my Entity Service materialNumber is my custom key and therefore a corresponding operation exists: readByCustomKeys.
I map this operation to my External Service (Web service provided by XI).
As I can't test this operation directly with the Service Browser (deosn't appear there), I wrap  my Entity Service with an Application Service where I use the readByCustomKeys operation from Entity Service.
Now when I test the Application Service operation I get the following error message in Service Browser:
    ERROR. Invalid type value :
In XI I can see that there was no error and I got well defined XML data as response. So the problem must occur anywhere in the mapping back from External Service data to Entity Service attributes.
Wrong data type mapping can be excluded as I already tested this possibility.
Does anyone know what could be the reason?
Thanks for your answers and best regards
    Joschi

    Hello Joachim,
I dont have a lot of experience with readByCustomKeys (one experience which failed) but uou can also use read itself. If you have defined materialNumber as a key in your entity service, then this field can be used in read operations as well (I have a lot of positve experiences with this approach). You will find materialNumber while mapping read with your external service and you need not map the key field generated by Entity Service.
For testing entity services, we have had several positive experiences with the config browser, specially for a findBy, read and even update operation. It was very easy to have a prototype UI to check the entity services.
I know this isnt the answer to your question, but just sharing my experiences.
    All the best!!!

    Parag.

  • External Service Mangement Service Pricing Procedure not picking up in PO

    Hi ,
We have an issue with External Services pricing procedure:
In SPRO->MM->External services Management->Maintain Conditions for Service
Have defined and assigned Schema for Services , but when I make a PO entry the pricing procedure is not picked.
I have maintined condition types , and defined schema procedure for services and there after have assigned service pricing procedure to document type for PO.
I get a message 'Conditions for service price determination incomplete'. And the conditions which are populated are from  a different pricing procedure.
Please help me sort the issue.
    Thanks

    Hi,
This error triggers in case of own pricing procedure or changes to standard pricing procedure. Other reasons could be the price calculation schema is not set up for External Services Management or calculation schema not adopted from client 0 when system configured. Please refer  following  notes. Thanking you.

  • MM-External service management pricing configuration

    Hello Experts,
I am working with MM-External service management, and am facing an issue in Pricing during creation of SES (ML81N).
I have modified the standard Access sequence 0010 (Performance conditions) by inserting Table 104 to row 15.
The Condition table 104 has field KOMP-SRVPOS i.e. Activity Number.
The Contract (ME33K) has a service included with a Service No. 40000000 as shown below with a Gross price as 1/- .  The said service is created in AC03.
A condition record is created against the Activity No 40000000 in transaction ML45 (Condition Typ: PRS) as shown below:
While creating SES for a Release order of the said contract for service No. 40000000, the expected result is that in the Access Sequence Row 15 would be executed and the condition record maintained in ML45 (14/-) would be picked up.
However, the access 15 does not get executed as the Activity No. field is not filled. It appears that the KOMP structure is not populated with SRVPOS under above circumstance. Error message 102- “Access not made (initialized field)”.
Instead the access in Row 20 is executed and Contract rate of 1/- is picked up.
In another scenario, SES is created on a contract where the said service no. (40000000) is NOT included in the service lines. Here during Pricing the Access 15 is successfully made:
What is reason for this behavior? As per requirement, many contracts share the same services and their price is uniform across
all contracts. Hence instead of the contract specific condition, the Cnd record maintained against Activity Number is required to be picked up. This makes sense because these prices change periodically and hence rate Maintenance is easier if only rate against single Activity number is to be changed rather than prices in all individual contracts.
    Please guide.

    Hi,
Instead of modifying the standard Access sequence , you can create  New Access sequence for service but you need to add field SRVPOS for Activity Number in the following path:
SPRO --> MM --> Purchasing -- > Conditions --> Define Price Determination Process --> Extend Field Catalog for Condition Tables
Now create a new condition table as 977 with  Service master or Activity number and then create New Access sequence as ZSER assign table 977and save.  You can create your new service condition type as ZSER and assign New Access sequence ZSER  to it.
For to have service condition pricing in service order/purchase order, you can use routine 11 in Requirement column for service condition type ZSER in Requirement column in MM calculation schema/MM Pricing Procedure. Different pricing for service and production
You should decide which condition price you want in service PO---- price from condition record or from service contract.

  • External Service Management: Condition Table is empty

    Hello Experts,
I have a scenario in ECC 5.0 - Material Management
I am trying to post a Service Entry Sheet and I am getting an error "Conditions for service price determination incomplete". Upon investation I found that the standard SAP settings for condition types, condition schema available under External Service Management node in SPRO are all empty. i.e. There are no standard condition type available, no standard condition schema (MS000) available in the system.
I dont know the cause of this problem but is there any way that we can import these standard entries from cleint 000. Or is there any other quick solution for this?
    Pls suggest.

  • External service management

    hello,
i am working for construction industry. This is   regarding unplanned external service procured by client.
They get external service from labour contactors for ex: colouring the wall, plastering the wall etc. which are purely unplanned. They can allot some budget for the service but their are not sure about Quantities.
When i enter this service PO and service entry sheet its by  defualt asking for quantity.
is their a way to configure service entry only for net price not quantity? so that my problem will be solved.
point assured for providing good solutions.

    hello all,
its asking for quanity in PO, Line item entry of service in PO and service entry sheet also.
SES is automatically taking quantity from PO,if i try to change the quanity in  SES  the error message Quantity is higher then PO is poping up.
in my case if i procure service for painting, i am not sure about the days or area. only i know some value.
is their any setting so that the quantity will become optional or hideout.
i am not able to complete because of above problem.

  • Event GR Posted is denied for the DBM Order - External service procurement

    Dear Experts,
We are facing the below mentioned issue while trying to perform goods receipt for external service procurement.
Error - "Event GR Posted is denied for the DBM Order  -------XXX"
The error message is raised when the tracking number is maintained in the Purchase order of External servce,
If we remove the Tracking order (DBM Job order number) from Purchase order and then perform Goods receipt (MIGO) then the error does not exists.
Request you to help us with suggestion.
    Regards,
    T.R.S,Praveen

    Hi Sachin,
Thank you for your valuable feedback.
Requirement Tracking number in Purchase order item screen. Field name - BEDNR.
Please note that the job order number is not manually updated by us. It is automatically updating in PO line item through Purchase requisition details as per standard behavior.
If we perform goods receipt then we are getting error message as "Event GR Posted is denied for the DBM Order  -------XXX".
Goods receipt is working properly if we remove the Job order number in tracking order field in PO.

  • External services in MM

    Hi All,
Is there any standard content available for external services, I have checked out all the node there I could found only customer services. But here they want like external services i.e., like Tendering/purchasing details for painting a building, Garbage cleaning tender and maintenance tender details for Equipment etc., because here in all these services they wont follow the normal process like GR, GI etc., these services will be the general services.
In MM i could find external services under purchasing but it won't serve the client purpose, so if any standard content is available means it will be helpful.
    Thanks,

  • External Service Order PO in Product Costing

    Hi,
We have Sales Order Costing process which is done on Sales Order level. During Sales order creation and save, costing is calculated automatically. Based on Sales Order MRP Run is generated and Production Order is made on the basis of Sales Order. We have requirement of External Service Purchase Order need to be flow in product costing. Already we have done external service order purchase order through production cost center and it has done GRN and vendor invoice. GRN value has flown to production cost center. next step I have doubt. In Costing variant under valuation variant - External Processing strategy sequence is done as "Net Purchase Order Price". What are the other settings are required ?
So I would request you, please guide me how external service order purchase Order can be shown to product costing ? If I want to show this external po value to costing sheet during sales order costing how it can be introduced ?
    Best Regards.

    Request u to help
    Rgds

    Hi Raul,
Please kindly check the setting to the screen layout as follow :
SPRO -> Material Management -> External Service Management ->  Define Screen Layout -> Purchase Order -> Field group "Service Fields"-> Field "Info Update Indicator"
Please kindly check whether the field selection there is hidden or optional. Please maintain it to Optional.

  • Procurement of external services in production orders

    Dear Sirs,
We need to procure external service in production order as is done in maintenance order using a control key like PM03, it means, we need to create, automatically, purchase requisition with item category D (service). Therefore transaction COR1 (production order creation) doesn't allow to use any kind of control key which has T430-SERVICE flagged.
Do you have any idea how to solve this?
    Best Regards,
    Carlos Daniel

Please update the control key that you are using for this activity under -
    IMG>Production>Capacity Requirements Planning>Routing data>Define control key
Here, you have to flag the check box " Schedule Ext. Operation" & maintain the " Ext Processing indicator"
    Thanx!!

  • Header conditions for external services

    Hi all,
How to make header conditions of PO to be consider in  external services ?
The issue is that in the service entry sheet the header conditions from  PO are not consider  in service.
    Regards,
    Tiago Ferreira

    Hi Tiago,
as per note 353482  it is possible to maintain header condition
on the SERVICE OUTLINE LEVEL. This note explains what condition
    types are available.
There is no condition type for fixed amount
that would be distributed proportionally to accepted quantity,
like header conditions in the purchasing level!
These conditions are related to outline levels and the header of the
service package and can also be maintained there. They can be maintained
in quotation, purchase requisitions, purchase orders and contract (as
master conditions). However, in contracts outline conditions can only be
saved for such outline levels that contain services.
In the other documents these conditions are in any case
displayed (when determined by price determination) on service condition
level, which means if you had planned services in your PO item and you create the entry sheet based on this PO item, if you had header conditions on outline level in your services, the same conditions will be overtaken into the entry sheet, but you can see them in the condition screen (mark the service line in the entry sheet, check conditions), not at outline level.
I would advice you to test first with using the condition type KR01 in the PO at service outline level and to check the same condition in the entry sheet (which was created based on this PO) on the condition screen.
    Regards,
