Update program error

Hello Experts,
Every once in while a text load in a process chain fails with the following error
Error when generating the update program
Message no. RSAU484
Diagnosis
An error occurred during program generation for InfoSource XXXX_TEXT and InfoProvider XXXX. This may be extrapolated to incorrect update rules.
Procedure
Check and correct your update rules and then generate the update program again. You can find help on the error in the error log.
Doing a repeat on this part of the chain completes the process successfully every single time. Also this is error does not occur every time we run the load but once a month or so.
According to OSS notes it may be because an infoprovider is being loaded simultaneous. In out case this is possible but when I looked closely at the error times its clear that there are no simultaneous loads.
Did anyone else come across this problem?
Helpful answer will be rewarded.

1) Perform a syntax check on your Update Rule for any errors, if any correct them.
2) Generate your update rule program via transaction se38.
3) Avoid parallel loads for InfoObjects.

This is easy to get around. The error is only in Nokia's combined installer, not the NSU installer itself.
1. Download and install 7-Zip. Don't worry it's free!
(No, neither WinRAR nor WinZip will do for this)
Get it here: http://www.7-zip.org/download.html
2. Use 7-Zip to extract the contents of NokiaSoftwareUpdaterSetup_en.exe into a folder. You should now have a bunch of folders and a few files.
3. Go into Packages, then NokiaSoftwareUpdater, then Setup
4. Launch NokiaSoftwareUpdater.msi (double-click it).
5. That's it!

Photoshop CS2 not working after 10.6.7 update? program error!

Could not complete your request because of a program error. I opened an image RGB and wanted to save it as a CMYK.
Save as and entered new name... thats it! Then the error popped up. The only thing that has changed is the update!
Please help.

If you updated to 10.6.7 then you should (go to your Apple menu at the far left and) check for updates.
There was a problem with some types of Fonts that has been fixed by the Snow Leopard Font update:

However, always wait after an OS update (true of Windows too) and see if it causes any problems with 3rd-party software, etc. - PRIOR to updating your system And always, always have a full, known-good backup before you update. Especially for any computer that is used for business purposes !
Last but definitely not least, you should know that Adobe CS2 is a Power-PC only application (circa G4 and G5 processors, before Apple moved to Intel processors), and requires Rosetta (PowerPC emulation).
So you should consider any CS2 application running at all, as fairly miraculous.
CS3 was released four years ago, and provided the first Intel-native ("Universal Binary") versions of the CS-suite applications.
Mac OS 10.6 only runs on Intel-based Macs (ie: Intel processor required).
If you are using Photoshop CS2 for any revenue-generating purposes, then it is (and was) incumbent upon you to properly allocate and budget for
upgrades and you should - nay, must - be running a more current version of the software. If your budget does not allow for newer Adobe CS, then you should have kept a legacy system that can run an older Mac OS, and understand that your workflow is living on borrowed time - and you had best keep several old Macs that can still run an older Mac OS and run your CS2 natively.
In no way shape or form is CS2 supported under Mac OS X 10.6 - certainly not in any official way by Adobe !
You could also be irate about not being able to use your 8-track tape player in your brand new car. I'm exaggerating but not too much.

jpg does not support Layers.
Just to make sure, what exactly do you mean by "stacking photos" and what do you want to achieve thereby?

Error "could not complete your request because of a program error" when editor is launched after PSE12 update.

Installed PSE12 in July, Installed and operated without issue. Received a message on the iMac 21.5 running OS X 10.9.4 about an update for PSE 12 being available. I downloaded and installed the update. Now when the Editor of the app is launched, I get a message that says "could not complete your request because of a program error". If I click "OK", the editor will usually continue and operate without problem but sometimes it will launch to a full gray screen and with just the border and will not close, can not quit, and prevents the MAC from shutting down. I have the force quit the app to continue to use the MAC. I have tried safe mode and user admin with same error. I can't find any posting specific to this issue. I thought there was a method to reinstall PSE without uninstalling it but I can't find it. Should I just simply uninstall PSE 12 anad start over???

It is a mute point now. PSE12 finally failed to the point it locked up the MAC. I had to restore the MAC OS from backup to a point before the PSE12 update.
The MAC now operates correctly and so does PSE12. I don't think I'll be updating PSE any time soon.

Run the cleaner, reinstall.
Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6
And don't bother with running any updates unless you really need them or they fix a critical issue relevant to your workflow.

we went to BI7.0 upgradation and iam getting the error in the update program message no rsau 484 when the process chain is trying to load the data into infocube and i have found SNOTE 1146851 MENTIONED by SAP according to which i deactivated update rule and reactivated again but still iam getting error .did any of you implemented this note please help me in this regard.

This is because transfer structure is not activate
try replicating the data source in rsds t-code and activate the transfer rules..

Yes,there is just a single line of code in the start routine
DELETE DATA_PACKAGE WHERE CUSTOMER is initial.
and update rules for Business partner and customer market which are object mapped 1:1. No routines or formulaes.
Could this be a technical issue on the flexible update or a data quality ?

Try activating both the cubes using RSDG_CUBE_ACTIVATE. Activate them even thou they seem active.

Hi,
Actually when you are loading data, the update program is executed. It is generated while you create the update rules for your data target. Please check whether the update rules are active or just go to the update rules and activate it again. Try loading data after activation and let us know the results.

We faced the below problem in while executing the infopackages for BW statistics in BI7.0
7099 records from 7099 records..but shows request is red.

Caller 01 : If there is any inconsistecy while loading the data or if the program cannot able to execute a specific task it will give the caller errors.
check in the transaction ST22
check for the OSS notes 631668, 860475

Do a check on the update rules and see if it returns no errors...
if that is the case, then check the short dump and try to get the program name for the update rules..In se38 putting the program name, you can go inside it and do a check there as well if there are any errors....
If in the end yo still dont find anything, try to delete and re-create the update rules..
But i think you will get quite useful info from the dumps if there are any..

Go to SM13 . there it gives the line no. where the termination has occured. You can debug the program from there and make relavent changes.

Program Error after recent itunes update - please help

I recently upgraded to the latest version of iTunes. Now it won't open. I have been through the revcommended options and still no joy.
The Program Error states "iTunes.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart the program. An error log is being created."
I have removed the programs and reinstalled them as recommended and Still nothing! (I think ) I subsequently lost also my Pro version of Quick Time which I paid for.
I cant up date my iPod.
Please can you help me out?
