Update PSE 13.1 fehlerhaft ?

Also kein Hardware-Defekt. Mal sehen, wenn 13.2 oder höher kommt das ich es noch einmal versuche. Vorher noch mal `ne Datensicherung - vorsichtshalber.
Noch einen schönen Abend

How does one update pse 10 to use camera raw 7.3?

Unfortunately, you don't. PSE 10 can't use any version of ACR 7. You can either use the software that came with the camera, upgrade to PSE 11 (bad move this time of year, usually), or download the free adobe DNG converter to convert your raw files to dng files that your version of ACR can read.

Well, technically you could contact adobe for a crossgrade, but it's not really a good idea. When you crossgrade, adobe always sends you the latest version and charges you the upgrade fee, which is usually more than you would pay to just go buy PSE from a big box store or amazon.  But for PSE 8 your windows serial number would not work in a mac version even if you could find one. It's different for PSE 9 and later.

  • Unable to update PSE 11

I have been trying to sort out an issue in a friends PSE11 which has ACR7.1 and we cannot get it to update to ACR7.4 which he needs for his camera.
I have deinstalled the application, cleaned up the registry, then reinstalled twice but the option to update is always greyed out on the menu
DOes anyone have any ideas how to cure this - doing my head in.
    thanks

Try this camera raw 7.4 updater for pse 11
    http://swupdl.adobe.com/updates/oobe/aam20/win/PhotoshopCameraRawForElements11-7.1/7.4.100 /setup.zip
Then right click on the setup.zip, select Extract All and run the AdobePatchInstaller.exe
Hopefully, that should update pse 11 to camera raw 7.4

  • How do I update PSE 12 and Premiere Elements 12 for ACR 8.5?

I tried posting this earlier, got no responses. Recap as follows:
using an iMac with OSX 10.9.4
From PSE12, used the "updates" pull-down menu, Adobe Application Manager (AAM) starts and indicates that there is an update available for both PSE and Premiere 12.  When update is selected, AAM shows:
       Update Failed
       Updates could not be applied
The error log file may help you in identifying the problem.  The, try updating again.  If the problems persist, contact customer support for further assistance.
The error lot file read as follows:
       Photoshop Camera Raw 8.5
There was an error installing this update. Please quit and try again later. Error Code: U44M1I210
When using the Terminal application to open the updater, I get the following response:
    /Applications/Utilities/Adobe\ Application\ Manager/core/Adobe\ Application\ Manager.app/Contents/MacOS/PDApp ; exit;

Any guidance on updating to ACR 8.5 would be appreciated.

    Barbara,
Yes, I accessed the "updates" menu from the Help pull-down menu.  I also accessed the updates using the Mac Terminal application with results shown in my original post.  Regardless of whether I used the Help menu or the Mac Terminal app, the AAM tool still responded with:
    Update Failed
       Updates could not be applied
The error log file may help you in identifying the problem.  The, try updating again.  If the problems persist, contact customer support for further assistance.
The error log file read as follows:
       Photoshop Camera Raw 8.5
There was an error installing this update. Please quit and try again later. Error Code: U44M1I210
Looking at the the output of the Mac Terminal app, it shows:
... hdiutil: attach failed - no mountable file systems
       Is this relevant?
Regarding your follow-up message pointing to:
Update 12.1 installation errors | Photoshop Elements, Premiere Elements,
the files referenced in this link are present, are correctly named, and they are in the correct locations, so it would appear that these issues are not related to the ACR 8.5 update problem
    Thanks

  • Feature Request: Import Sidecars When Updating PSE 8 Catalog

I am working to get a usable Lightroom catalog when updating from PSE 8.  I have tens of thousands of raw files, several thousand video files in the catalog, almost all of which have an accompanying THM and/or XMP file in the same Windows folder as the photo or video file.  PSE, of course, doesn't deal with sidecars, but I would have expected Lightroom to check for the sidecar, just as it does with a regular import of those files.  Or at least allow you to ask it to discover sidecars from the library menu after the catalog has been updated.
I would re-import the files to get the metadata from the sidecars, but then I would lose all the tags, captions and other metadata I've built up in the PSE catalog.  Lightroom doesn't give the option to "Read Metadata from File" for video files, but when I use on my raw files, it does not attempt to discover any existing sidecar files.  The XMP sidecars would be especially helpful because they contain the PSE data (including date/time changes, keywords, etc.) for both raw and video files as written out by PSEDBtool from John Ellis.
If multiple sidecars are available for a file (e.g. both a THM and an XMP), I would hope that Lightroom would read both in date order, and apply the metadata in that order.  That is, if the THM is older, read and use that metadata, and then read the XMP, updating any data supplied in that file, so that we get the benefit all all the data available.  In the cases above, there is a lot of camera data in the THM for the video files that is not in the AVI, MOV or XMP files, so I wouldn't want to lose that.

John - Thanks for your helpful responses.  A couple answers to your questions:
I do have XMP sidecars for my raw (and video) files, courtesy of psedbtool.  In addition, most of my raw (and video) files have a .THM file associated with them from the camera itself.  I have done very little with ACR in PSE 8, so I don't believe I have any XMP files from that source.
After converting my PSE 8 catalog to LR 3, I do not see any sidecar extensions in the LR 3 metadata pane, which is leading me to believe that LR 3 has ignored both the XMP and THM sidecars (I would have expected to see both listed).  If I instead import the raw files directly, rather than through the PSE 8 catalog upgrade, then I see both XMP and THM sidecars listed in the EXIF metadata pane.  For raw files, I can't be sure that the sidecars are not being read, because the camera data in them is duplicated in the raw file, and other data such as keywords may be coming straight from the PSE catalog.
By analogy, when I import video files with sidecars directly into LR, the sidecar metadata (both THM and XMP) is definitely imported to LR from the sidecars because that data does not exist in the video file, but it shows up in the LR metadata panel.   If I instead upgrade the PSE catalog containing the videos, only the bare-bones file data comes in with the video files - none of the EXIF data from the sidecars comes in.  LR doesn't even set a valid capture time for sorting in the grid view.
So I am drawing a conclusion that the PSE sidecar raw behavior is the same as the video behavior in this case.  John - are you seeing sidecar extensions in the metadata panel in LR from imported raw files?
    Thanks!
    Jon

  • Update PSE 6 to what?

I have PSE6 on Win 7 and I was wondering how I can update this to a more up to date version. How do I transfer the catalogs I have in PSE 6?

You can convert the PSE6 catalog during the installation of PSE11 which is the latest version.

  • Trouble updating PSE 7 to 7.03

This is where Secunia wants me to download the patch from. But where do I find the corresponding instructions? Up to now I have not succeeded to do this properly. Under "About PSE" I still find 7.0 and my Secunia still says it is not a "safe" version!

I am not sure if version in about section will be updated after 7.0.3.

  • Need to dowload update PSE 9 on window 7. Can anyone tell me how to do that, please?

There has been an update for Photoshop element popping to my screen for over a year and I have been trying to get the update but there is always an error message: Adobe Photoshop Elements 9.0.3 Update There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later. And also I am having trouble signing to my Adobe Photoshop element. It's been saying: there is an error, try again later. This has been going for over a year now. It's not that I have been using a fake software, I purchased them from Adobe, why am I having trouble using them? or do I have to buy a new software every 2 years?

    update directly, http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates/

  • Update PSE 9

I updated Photoshop Premium Elements 9 and a pop-up stated that some of the updates failed to install.  How do I fix this?
    Thank you, Cynthia

    Hi John,
Thanks for the reply.  I contacted HP as Photoshop Elements 9 was preinstalled  on our HP computer.  HP in a chat told me that we were not able to update it.  There is no product key and I would need to have that in order to update.  We need to find another photo software to use.  We have Window Live Photo Gallery software and we can use that.  We don't do much with photos.  We tried to learn Photoshop; we purchased a book with a CD that was supposed to walk you through Photoshop Elements 9 and we could not get the class to work and were not too successful at learning anything. I cannot afford to purchase Photoshop.  I understand the new thing is Adobe Photoshop Light Box.  I am sure that is really expensive software also.
    Thanks for the information.

  • Error when updating PSE 9.x

I keep getting the error below when I attempt to install the update.  Sony VAIO, I7 processor. NVIDIA Geforce, running Windows 7 64-bit..  Any and all help is much appreciated.
    Regards...Todd

Yes the dialog lets you choose which products to update. Simply expand the dropdown choices and check the boxes for the ones you want.
For example I never bother updating camera raw unless I’m purchasing a new camera model.
