Update reports after renaming name folder
Hi,
Is there a way in the catalog manager to correct all reports, filters, prompts etc.. to point to a rename folder?
I had all my reports under the folder "Standard" which I had to rename to something else.
Now of course all the reports are not working and the only way I know to adjust this is to go in each individual xml
and update the path from Standard to Standard_new.
Since I have tons of reports that I would need to adjust, is there a way to do it faster?
Regards
G.

Was there the option to "preserve references to original name" when you renamed the folder? That should have prevented any problems.

Can't see anything in external drive after renaming a folder
Hi all,
I can't see anything on my external drive after renaming a folder. I have the drive set up as a Windows drive with access through the volumes folder (I had to transfer large amount of files from a PC and have it be readable on my MacBook Air); I read a FAQ to set it up a few months ago and it has been working fine since then. I saw the same issue come up with a PC HD on a PC, but the solution was for a PC. I don't see anything else like that in the support community (or if it's there, then I'm not searching for it the right way). There is no partition on the drive and it still shows as having the same amount of data written on the drive as before the accident.
Many thanks in advance!
anjIf you upgrade the your router, it would be the firmware that will be upgraded. For more information regarding upgrading the firmware, try this link.
For your external drive, you might need to map the drive again with a different name.
Hope this helps. -
Mail gone after renaming a folder
Hi,
Had an issues this weekend with my mail.
I had the following mail folder structure: Main Mailbox -> Axaris (Mailfolder) -> Company name -> Brunen.
When I renamed the folder Brunen to Brünen all the mail in that folder dissapeared. It was just gone. When I browsed the hdd i was able to find the original folder back that was not renamed there. I could retrieve the mail from there, but it should not have happened. So more or less it's a bug.
I used the lastest OS X: 10.5.5.
Best regards. What you've described makes no sense; renaming a folder to the same name it already had would certainly not cause the problem you describe. Was this folder in the Mail program, or on your hard drive? How many messages do you have in Mail, and what have you done so far, if anything, to resolve this issue?

Extremely slow inserts/updates reported after HW upgrade...
Hi gyus,
I'll try to be as descriptive as I can. It's this project in which we have to move circa 6 mission critical (24x7) and mostly OLTP databases from MS Windows 2003 (DB on local disks) to HP-UX IA (CA metrocluster, HP XP 12000 disk array) - all ORA10gR2 10.2.0.4. And everything was perfect until we moved this XYZ database...
Almost immediately users reported "considerable" performance degradation. According to 3rd party application log they get almost 40 secs. instead of previously recorded 10.
We, I mean Oracle and HP specialists, haven't noticed/recorded any significant peeks/bottlenecks (RAM, CPU, Disk I/O).
Feel free to check 3 AWR reports and the init.ora at [http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=0269c9bc606747b47f7ec40ada4772a6e04e75f6e8ebb871]
1_awrrpt_standard.txt - standard workload during 8 hours (peek hours are from 8-12AM)
2_awrrpt_2hrs_ca.txt - standard workload during 2 peek hours (8-10)
3_awrrpt_2hrs_noca.txt - standard workload during 2 peek hours (10-12) with CA disk mirroring disabled
Of course, I've checked the ADDM reports - and first, I'd like to ask why ADDM keeps on reporting the following (on all database instances on this
cluster node):
FINDING 1: 100% impact (310 seconds)
Significant virtual memory paging was detected on the host operating system.
RECOMMENDATION 1: Host Configuration, 100% benefit (310 seconds)
Is it just some kind of false alarm (like we use to get on MS Windows)? Both nodes are running on 32gigs of RAM
with roughly more than 10gigs constantly free.
Second, as ADDM reported:
FINDING 2: 44% impact (135 seconds)
Waits on event "log file sync" while performing COMMIT and ROLLBACK operations
were consuming significant database time.
we've tried to split CA disk mirroring, using RAID 10 for redo log file disks etc. etc. No substantial performance gain was reported from users (though I've noticed some in AWR reports).
Despite confusing app. users' feedback I'm nearly sure that our bottleneck are redo log file disks. Why? Previously (old HW) we had 1-3 ms avg wait on log file sync and log file parallel write and now (new HW, RAID5/RAID10 we've tested both) - it's 8 ms or even more. We were able to get 2ms only with CA switched off (HP etrocluster
disk array mirroring).
And that brings up two new questions:
1. Does redo log group mirroring (2 on 2 separate disks vs. 1 on 1 disk) have any
significant impact on abovementioned wait events? I mean what performance gain
could I expect when I drop all "secondary" redo log members?
2. Why do we get almost identical response times when we run bulk insert/update tests (say
1000000 rows) against old and new DB/HW?
Thanks in advance,
tOPsEEK

Edited by: smutny on 1.11.2009 17:46Hi again,
so here's the actual AWR report (1 minute window while the most problematic operation took place). I think it's becoming clear we have to deal with slow redo log writes...

Bug Report: Page # and Icon Lost After Rename
I love the new file management features in version 10.3 but I noticed some problems right away.
After renaming a document, the current page position is lost and the document opens at page 1. This first one I renamed was a 400-page book and this was a bit annoying. I realize this is consistent with the desktop version which does not save the page position, but it is inconsistent with the iPad behavior for opening and closing documents. A fix or a warning should be implemented.
Also lost is the document icon, which reverts to a generic Reader logo. This is more of a cosmetic thing. I noticed the icon does not get restored after opening the document. It seems necessary to scroll down to page 2 for the icon to refresh. Here is the bug report page:

I searched for the folder in finder where thunderbird stores its data in hopes it would have all my emails there. I renamed the folder and moved to my documents so I could easily access. (Not sure of its original origin). After I did that, when I went to open Thunderbird an error message popped up saying: Profile Missing Your Thunderbird profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible.
How do I fix this? You can move or rename a profile folder of the hard drive as that will make it impossible for Thunderbird to access this folder.<br />
Thunderbird (and Firefox) use the profiles.ini file to map the profile folder as shown in the Profile Manager with the actual folder on the hard drive.<br />
By renaming or moving the profile folder you break this, so you should never do this.
You will have to move the folder to the original location and rename the folder to the name as can be found in the profiles.ini file.

Could not attach library file after renaming folder
Hi all,
I am using forms 10g r2. recently i renamed the folder where i had all my forms and libraries now when i open forms builder it throws errors that library could not be opened.
Now please if any one could suggest that what information or configuration i will have to change in order to make it working with renamed directory.
The other problem is i am hard coding the path of forms when i am calling one form from another like open_form('D:\folder1\folder2\frm_abc.fmx'). What configuration needs to be done or as it possible that i just provide the the name of form module and AS pick it from that folder.
Your replies are much appreciated.Hello,
I am using forms 10g r2. recently i renamed the folder where i had all my forms and libraries now when i open forms builder it throws errors that library could not be opened.
The path reference of forms and libraries might be broken, ensure FORMS_PATH variable is correctly set and fix the path pointing to the libraries and forms, look for it in regedit or default.env file.
default.env file resides in ORACLE_HOME\forms\server
The other problem is i am hard coding the path of forms when i am calling one form from another like open_form('D:\folder1\folder2\frm_abc.fmx'). What configuration needs to be done or as it possible that i just provide the the name of form module and AS pick it from that folder.
Add the path where you have your fmx files in FORMS_PATH variable, something like:
FORMS_PATH=D:\folder1\folder2;C:\Devsuit_home1\forms
After that you can do this: open_form('frm_abc.fmx')
Finally restart OC4J instance and try
Hope this helps you :)

Problems after changing user folder name
Hi everybody,
My pc had a problem with the HHD so I needed to send it back to the repair centre. During the reparation the company created a user called 'user'.
Since I had a backup that had to restore data in C:\Users\Andrea I changed the user's name as in this guide http:// superuser.com/questions/495290/how-to-rename-user-folder-in-windows-8 (I followed the step: 'I have
already logged into that account' since that was my situation.)
Now when opening Windows Update (only the desktop version, while the metro version works fine) I got this error
http:// postimg.org/image/6c6konbhh/
I hope someone has an idea of what's happening.
Thanks in advance.
P.S. Sorry for the links but I couldn't post links or pictures because the forum says that I am not verified.Create new user account with administrative privilege and try Windows Update.
If same issue, follow the steps to solve.
Start > Control Panel > System and Security > Administrative tools > Services
Stop the Background Intelligent Transferring Service, Cryptographic Service and Windows Update service.
then goto C:\Windows rename the Software Distribution folder as Software Distribution.OLD
Reboot the PC.
Now you can try Windows Update. -
Moving a report to a shared folder after scheduling .
Hi,
I have a requirement that i need to move the report to a shared folder after it had scheduled. Can you please help me.
Thanks.Well, you'd have to delete the Movies folder before you could replace it, and deleting the Movies folder would also delete its contents, thereby making the replacement impossible. It's not really surprising that the Finder was confused.
Simple solution: rename the parent folder. -
Hello people,
I can't update iPhoto after installing OSX 10.9.2, it has the name otto@**** in the apple ID box and will not let me change it. Any thoughts?
Thanks
<Email Edited By Host>You installed a hacked app, originally from the Mac App Store. It contains the receipt for a different app, downloaded using an account that you don't control. You need to identify and remove the hacked app.
Important: The app you need to remove is not necessarily the one named in the App Store alert. For example, the App Store may prompt you to update "Angry Birds" or "Twitter," but the hacked app may be something else entirely. Don't make any assumptions about which app you're looking for. To find it, you must carry out a systematic search with Spotlight.
1. Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it:
kMDItemAppStoreHasReceipt=1
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
2. In the Finder, press command-F to open a search window, or select
File ▹ Find
from the menu bar. In the search window, select
Search: This Mac
from the row of tokens below the toolbar. Below that is a popup menu of search criteria, initially showing Kind. From that menu, select
Other...
A sheet will drop down. In that sheet, select
Raw Query
as the criterion, then click OK or press return.
Now there will be a text box to the right of the menu of search criteria. That's where you enter the raw search query. Click in that box and paste the text you copied earlier by pressing command-V.
4. The search window will now show all the App Store products that are installed. Compare those search results with the list of your purchases from the App Store. To see the complete list, you may need to unhide hidden purchases. If any apps were download from the App Store using other Apple ID accounts that you control, sign in to the store under each of those ID's and check the purchases.
At least one of the apps in the Spotlight search results is not among your purchases in the App Store. Move each such item to the Trash, after quitting it if it's running. You may be prompted for your administrator password. Empty the Trash.
Quit and relaunch the App Store. Test.
If you find these instructions confusing, ask for an alternative method. -

I am using Export to Excel functionality in rdl report.
File name should be "Profitabilty By Buyer". It is working as expected in IE and chrome.
But in mozilla firefox the file name appears as "Profitabilty".
So the issue is it doesnt consider anything after space and user requirement is such that I cant put underscore("_") also instead of space.
Kindly suggest the proper solution.Hi Mukesh,
Reporting Services, we use a Web browser to view the report that deploy to Report Service. However, not all report functionally is supported by all browsers. Such as, the print button is not supported in Mozilla Firefox. It works only in Internet Explorer
due to it uses ActiveX for the print button.
I have tested it on my local environment, (SQL Server Reporting Services 2008, Firefox 28.0), we cannot reproduce this issue. So the issue can be the custom setting of your browser. Since SSRS reports are not about targeting NON-IE browsers, so in your scenario,
we recommend you use IE to view report on Report Manager.
And you said that you cannot put underscore ("_") also instead of space. However we can do this which you can see on the screenshot below.

After renaming the field name in content server,I am get the Exception
Hai All
After renaming the field name in Content Server I got one Error Like
*<ERROR> <oracle.ucm.idocs> <UCM-CS-000001> <General Exception>*
intradoc.data.dataexception !csRequiredFieldMissing2 dRevLabel in UCM.
Thanks,
Hari
Edited by: Hari on Jun 1, 2011 11:08 AMI think it is somehow related to your other question - pure renaming (that is. changing the text of the field's label) should not have an effect what-so-ever, but you probably somehow changed something in a required parameter, so that it is empty now.

Page properties and logo missing after renaming folder
When renaming one of my folders I got the message that the
application is updating all links. The renamed pages look normal on
my desktop when viewed in a browser. I uploaded the renamed folder
to my website and found to my chagrin that the page logo and page
properties are missing. I had changed nothing else in the website
files or folders. Can anyone tell what went wrong? You renamed a folder and didn't upload your images into the
renamed folder.
For example, you say your logo would be here -
http://www.onejackdaw.com/My_NA_Birds_Gallery/content/logo.png
but it's actually still here -
