Update response group membership on Lync.

Hi guys! Short question. I've updated the list of members in my AD group, which is used for calls routing. At about 10 minutes after the calls still flow to excluded members. How to force this update on Lync server?
Thank you!

Hi,
I have tried both commands, but my response Group using a Distribution List does not update.
I have found this in my event viewer:

  • Group Membership under Settings/My Account is not updating

    We use an External table for User permissions/Groups to get updated in Group Membership.
    We use our custom tool to create/update new/existing users with the permissions. Then our ETL picks up the changes from the OLTP tables and update User Permission table in our DWH hourly. Now let me explain the present situation. User ABC is an existing user and never used our Report Portal before, we updated ABC user with all the necessary groups to use Report portal and with curiosity she didn't wait until Hourly ETL run and she didn't had the necessary permissions to run any reports in Report portal. But when she login after 1hr/10 hr/ 1 day/2 day, the user won't see the Permissions getting updated in Group Membership. If we check the User permission table in DWH, it is updated with all the new roles, but it is never being updated in 'My Account' Answers. I think this is some kind of Presentation Cache issue, but I did clicked "Reload Files and Metadata" under Settings and "Close All Cursors" under Settings/Manage Sessions. You may also say it may be with the Caching on Initialization Block for the User Permission table, but we did Un-check the 'Use Caching' right below the Row-wise initialization for the corresponding Initialization block. We has 3 users with the same issue now. But when the user waits for certain time (for at least 1hr), and when they login after the actual hourly ETL ran, they were able to get in and use Report Portal without any issue. So, I am kind of sure this is something with CACHING and I might be missing some thing on Clearing this type of Cache. Could someone please help me out on this? This is in PRD and we are not able to find a solution. Any help would be appreciated!
    -Dinesh

    Yes, we are using Initialization Blocks to update the User Groups. Our USER_PERMISSION table has Login, Company_ID, Roles, etc columns in it. The Initialization Block will query on this Table and the query has a where clause in it and the Where clause "where company_id=(select substr(':USER', 0, (instr(':USER', '.')) - 1) from dual) and upper(login)=upper((select substr(':USER', (instr(':USER', '.')) + 1) from dual))) and dw_delete_date is null" from which it will get the roles for each user. And YES, the Caching is turned off for this initialization block.
    And I should try deleting the user folders, but my company has a very strict policy so I should do that in DEv, then QA and in PRD. Hope this works, but I am still not convinced why this is happening. We cannot keep on deleting the user folders in future if this happens again.

    Hello,
    Seeing a very strange issue on a couple of our clients running Lync 2013.  Whenever they transfer a call from their response group Lync will crash.  Calls into their direct line will transfer just fine.  Here are two of the event logs we have

    We have tried a number of things this to get this working, but nothing has worked.
    Installed Office 2013 SP1
    Completely re imaged the client's computers
    Deployed new Polycom Lync phones
    Completely removed clients from their response group and the Lync server and added them back
    I'm not sure where to go from here or what might be causing this.  I would appreciate any thoughts you might have.  Thank you!

    By default, calls from Response Groups ignore call forwarding or simultaneous ring settings.

  • Migrating Response Groups

    Hi everyone,
    Migrating from lync 2010 to lync 2013 using this guide http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj204854.aspx
    Now i have run the Move-CsRgsConfiguration
    command and now i can see the response group created in lync 2013 and still exist in lync 2010 for roll back purposes as the guide specified.
    Now i want to turn of the lync 2010 sql, so how can i decommission the
    old lync response groups in lync 2010 before i remove the whole lync 2010
    ammarhasayen

    I would not remove the Workflows from 2010. The article states "If any Lync Server 2010 response groups have been migrated to a Lync Server 2013 deployment, do not remove the contact objects of the migrated response groups. If you remove the contact object
    of a migrated response group, the new response group will stop working. The response groups that remained in Lync Server 2010 after the migration will be removed when the Lync Server 2010 deployment is decommissioned."
    If you remove the Service Contact Object, it will be removed from AD and the workflow will no longer be valid. When you decomision 2010 server, the duplicates will no longer appear.

  • Update AD groups via resourceObjectUpdate?

    Hello idm experts,
    I need to update to update an object in AD - move in into a different container, update some attributes and add AD security groups.
    Is that possible to do all at once via updateResourceObject com.waveset.provision.WorkflowServices call?
    Trying to do it - rename (move to different OU) is correct, modifying attributes is correct. Group membership gets completely wiped out.
    Here is the user object I'm passing:
    <Object>
    <Attribute name='user'>
    <Object>
    <Attribute name='attributes'>
    <Object>
    <Attribute name='description' value='xxxx111'/>
    <Attribute name='groups'>
    <List>
    <String>CN=na_approver,OU=FWD Groups,OU=Ldap Data,OU=INT,DC=msqa,DC=qa,DC=ms,DC=com</String>
    <String>CN=NA_BranchAdmin1,OU=Common Groups,OU=ISG,OU=INT,DC=msqa,DC=qa,DC=ms,DC=com</String>
    </List>
    </Attribute>
    <Attribute name='objectGUID' value='106d443e62585a469d0ddf6dfdbaacfe'/>
    <Attribute name='sAMAccountName' value='xxxxxtest09'/>
    <Attribute name='ws_newAccountId' value='cn=paveltest0909,ou=gwm,ou=exchange,ou=isg,ou=int,dc=msqa,dc=qa,dc=ms,dc=com'/>
    </Object>
    </Attribute>
    <Attribute name='objectId' value='CN=xxxxxtest0909,OU=GWM,OU=Exchange,OU=ISG,OU=INT,DC=msqa,DC=qa,DC=ms,DC=com'/>
    <Attribute name='objectType' value='User'/>
    <Attribute name='resourceId' value='#ID#Resource:AD'/>
    </Object>
    </Attribute>
    </Object>
    And here is the call:
    <Action name='Update User' application='com.waveset.provision.WorkflowServices'>
    <Argument name='op' value='updateResourceObject'/>
    <Argument name='objectId' value='$(iden)'/>
    <Argument name='objectType' value='User'/>
    <Argument name='object' value='$(ldapObject.user)'/>
    <Argument name='resourceId' value='#ID#Resource:AD'/>
    <Argument name='action' value='update'/>
    <Return from='applicationError' to='applicationError'/>
    </Action>
    Update seems to be OK, the object is moved, attributes are updated, but group membership is wiped out.

    What happened with group membership? Is there something I'm missing in object parameters or WorkflowServices parameters?

    You can "nest" an AD group in a SharePoint group and that will work just fine. What does not work is if you add users to an AD group, then nest that group in another AD group, and apply that second AD group to SharePoint. SharePoint is unable to crack open
    the nested group to parse the users.
    What do you mean by Site Collection Web Policy? Policies are applied at the Web Application level (in Central Administration).

  • OIM: What is the purpose of "Update" while editing group memberships

    Hi,
    This is when you lookup a user's Resource Profile and go to "Edit" link. The process form shows up along with a drop down to edit the group memberships. When we select one of the choices such as "Groups" another window pops up where we could add more entires into the child form. In this form there is an "Update" column with a radio button besides a "Remove" column. What is the purpose of this "Update" column? We can add or delete child entries but what does update do? Is there a way to remove this selection altogether?
    Thanks in advance

    Update I can see used for a cases where you have multiple columns on a child table entry and want to change one of them. Strictly speaking, you can update a single column child table rather than delete and insert also. Access policies always do insert and delete actions, but you will want to implement an update task as well if you expect anyone to be editing child tables on resources directly.

  • Group membership on AD-bound server is not updating correctly

    I have a 10.6.4 server that is bound to AD with Win2008 domain controllers. I am seeing group membership not update properly on this OS X server. If I type "id -p username" I don't get a full list of groups the user is a member of. If I launch Workgroup Manager, all of the groups are listed. I am using the box as a Subversion server and need the group updates to propagate from AD for Apache authentication to work correctly. Any ideas as to why the propagation is not happening? Is there a way I can flush whatever cache might be causing an issue? Can the group membership list be "refreshed"?

  • Lync response group stops after a while with receiving incomming calls

    Hi Folks,
    We have a strange issue with the response groups of Lync.
    It seems that the response group randomly stops working, what means that the users can't receive their call trough the response groups.
    Only the response group call(s) don't work, the pstn -> lync lync-> lync call just works fine.
    The quick fix is to restart one of the Lync front end servers.
    But, that is not really a solution.
    The event viewer don't show anything about this problem. Also the Lync monitoring service don't show anything.
    Sometimes restarting the Windows Lync response group services solves the problem, but most of the time we need to restart the whole server.
    I'm curious some people has the same experience.
    If you need more information about our deployment, please feel free to ask.

    Hi,
    I suggest you try to gather some logs on the Mediation server to see what is happening. Please use Lync logging tool and capture the data for S4
    and then try to see if there are any errors after reporduce the problem.
    Please try to enable logging tool to get detailed report:

  • Unable to connect as a formal agent to a Response Group after Migration to Lync 2013

    We are in the process of migrating our Lync 2010 servers to Lync 2013. Everything seems to go well, but problems started to appear after we migrated the Lync 2010 response groups to Lync 2013. Now only those groups with informal agents work. All the groups
    with formal agent, when they try select their group through the web page, they all get the error:
    You are not a member of any group. For assistance, contact your support team"
    Did anyone experience such an issue ?
    Thanks,
    Antonio

    We had this problem with our recent migration of c. 350 response groups, many of which had formal agent groups. The cause appears to be that after the migration, the formal agent registration screen sees both the 'old' and the 'new' formal agent groups of
    which the current user is a member and resolves these to only one entry on the registration screen (which is understandable). But the entry seems to be connected to the 'old' and not the 'new' agent group. We were able to verify this by checking in the old
    and new pool database (rgsdyn) and seeing that even after the migration the formal agents were signing in to the old pool and not the new one. One solution is to delete the members from the old formal agent groups so that future registrations are forced to
    take place  in the new pool database. However, if you do this, bear in mind that if you have to back out the migration, you have to restore these.
    We were also had to abandon one migration attempt because of another problem where the migration tool does not support the migration of agents who are defined indirectly in the agent group through a mail distribution group.

  • Precision for Capacity Planning for Response Group Lync 2010

    Hi,
    does anyone have
    information on the following points:
    Concurrent calls connected to IVR or MoH
    480
    60 --> I think that each FE can support 60 simultaneous calls on the MOH
    Concurrent anonymous sessions (without IM)
    224
    28 --> I think that each FE can support 28 simultaneous calls on different RGS/agents
    Active agents (formal and informal)
    1200
    1200 - -> It's the maximum of actives agents for RGS. But does I have to count 3 connections if a person is active for 3 RGS?
    Thanks for your help
    Marc

    Concurrent calls connected to IVR or MoH > 480 that mean per enterprise pool it support 480 simultaneous call to IVR but enterprise pool must contain at least 8 Front End.
    Concurrent anonymous sessions (without IM) > 224 same as previous, that mean enterprise pool support 224 simultaneous call on different agent.
    Active agents (formal and informal) > 1200, It's the maximum of actives agents for RGS and yes, you will have 3 connection for 3 RGS.
    Each hunt group is associated with a different Response Group application queue, but each queue is associated with the same agent group comprised of three agents. The total number of possible active agents on this Enterprise Edition pool is three (1 agent
    group x 3 unique agents in that group).

  • Group Membership Update Task -AD Connector 11g

    OIM 11g R2:
    When will Group Membership Update task be triggered for a user? Will this get triggered when a Entitlement associated to a user is updated (entitlement metadata) -How will OIM identify that it is an update to the existing Entitlement and that User is associated with?
    This is my understanding on other group related OOTB tasks:
    Insert Group Membership will be triggered when a new entitlement  is added to the user
    Delete Group Membership will be triggered when a Entitlement is removed
    Thanks in advance.

    If entitlement display name is updated in OIM then it also get updated in provisioned resource profile for all users who are associated with the entitlement but it does not insert 'Group Update' task.
    If entitlement - group name is changed in target system them OIM treats this change as a completely new and does not update it for the existing associated users.
    Thanks,
    Pallavi

  • Lync 2013 Attendant Response Group - Long Delay - Error ID 45019 LS Inbound Routing

    Hello,
    We have a customer who's using Lync Server 2013 with Response Groups and the SamRoxx Attendant Client. They are getting an error whereby calls made directly to users come through instantly, however attendants who take a call via the Response Group
    get a 10 second delay. We are seeing
    Error ID 45019 LS Inbound Routing
    User ***@***.com provided a routing document with errors.
    Default call handling was applied instead. Merge conflict. Wait total present in both preambles.
    Problems with this user's routing documents will not be reported again for another hour.
    Cause: A new or experimental user agent my have published a routing document with errors.
    Resolution:
    Replace the user agent that published the defective configuration.
    Has anyone seen this before??
    Thanks

    Hi tomcotton,
    You can try steps below to troubleshoot the problem.
    1. Remove the affected Lync user from the Response Group and test whether the error persists.
    2. I’m not aware of
     the SamRoxx Attendant Client, can you use Lync 2013 client to test and check ?
    Best regards,

  • Lync Response Group Manager - cannot change opening hours

    Hi all
    I've run into an odd problem with Lync Response Groups with Lync 2013 Server. Just wondering if anyone has seen this before or knows of a solution. I've searched around but can't find any reference to this particular problem.
    Response supervisors who are defined in the workflow and are a member of the AD group CSResponseGroupManager cannot change working hours for their response group from a custom schedule to a preset in the web interface.
    If the workflow is already set to preset they can switch between existing presets, and they can switch from preset to custom. But once it has been set to custom they cannot change it back to preset.
    They can select to do so but when they click Save they receive an error on the page saying "The term 'Remove-CsRgsHoursOfBusiness' is not recognized as the name of a cmdlet, function, script file, or operable program. Check the spelling of the name,
    or if a path was included, verify that the path is correct and try again."
    I don't believe this is by design, why would you want a workflow manager to be able to switch between presets or to custom but not back again?
    If they are a member of CSResponseGroupAdministrator this works, however this is not really a solution as members of this group can edit all workflows and we don't want the managers of a workflow for one department able to access the workflows of another.
    Any information greatly appreciated.

    Hi
    I had to abondon working on this for a while as we only had 1 Response Group in place, it wasn't too much hassle for me to do these changes myself.
    However we now have about 6 Response Groups. All are managed and have a user listed as manager in the workflow, that user is also in the CSResponseGroupManager AD user group.
    As previously described they can change the opening hours from between existing presets, and from preset to custom, but attempting to change back to preset from custom causes the error given previously.
    This does not occur if the user is a member of CSResponseGroupAdministrator, however putting our Response Group managers in this group is not appropriate as it gives them access to all Response Groups not just their own.
    Is it possible the error is due to the fact that the CSResponseGroupManager group is not giving them permission to the Remove-CSRGSHoursofBusiness cmdlet, I think PowerShell tells you a cmdlet doesn't exist if you don't have permissions to use it?

  • Lync Response group call issues

    Hi all,
    I am trying to investigate an issue with incoming calls.
    I would like to know who ended the call. Was it the caller or the callee.
    How can I find this in Lync reports?
    Thanks,

    Here's a query that will need some work, but might help get you there.
    Note that it's currently locked to a date range.  You can modify that.  I'd make a couple of calls to your response group, one where you hang up, and one where you have them hang up on you.
    Run the query.  Find your calls, find the ReferredById number that matches your response group.  In my case it was 10091, so I added the line "and SessionDetails.ReferredById='10091'" just before the "order by".
    Now the query returns your response group calls.  The diagnosticID will help you determine who hung up, or you can just add the VoIPDetails record you found as the join is in the query already.
    select
    (Select UserUri from Users where UserId = SessionDetails.User2Id ) as Caller,
    SessionDetails.DiagnosticId,
    (SELECT PhoneUri FROM Phones WHERE PhoneId = VoipDetails.FromNumberId) as MyFromNumberId,
    (SELECT PhoneUri FROM Phones WHERE PhoneId = VoipDetails.ConnectedNumberId) as ConnectedNumberId,
    (Select UserUri from Users where UserId = SessionDetails.User1Id ) as Agent,
    (Select UserUri from Users where UserId = SessionDetails.ReferredById ) as ResponseGroup,
    (SELECT DATEDIFF(SECOND, SessionDetails.SessionIdTime,SessionDetails.SessionEndTime)) As TalkTime,
    SessionDetails.* from SessionDetails
    LEFT OUTER JOIN dbo.VoipDetails
    ON VoipDetails.SessionIdTime = SessionDetails.SessionIdTime
    AND VoipDetails.SessionIdSeq = SessionDetails.SessionIdSeq
    where SessionDetails.SessionIdTime > '2014-10-08' and SessionDetails.SessionIdTime < '2014-10-10'
    order by SessionIdTime
