Update rule not reading MD correctly

I have an ODS that has update rules. One of the field (Substatus) has to read Appraisal Document Master data as per the update rule. The Appraisal Document master data has the Substatus valu of 3 which is correct. Unfortunately, the ODS shows the value as 0.
How could this happen?

which update u are loading delta or full
if u r loading delta update it only brings the changed records.
r u loading for the first time. if not it brings 0 because the data may not be changed in master data.
if u r loading for the first time then it brings the value 3.
check data in active data table and ur master data it will be ok.

Update rule not working with high data load.

Hi all,
i have a problem with a update rule: it's an update loop in a dso, in the start routine i do 3 select for all entries in data-package on the active table of another structure; then i read those table to update some values in my update rule.
I did some test and it seemed to work well (i tryed for example just for a plant) but when i launched it for all the records in the dso the result was differente and, for the same plant, the values where not updated correctly (they were blank).
Now the routine is really the same so it sound strange to me that launching the infopackage without filters i can't get the same correct result of my previous test but i was wondering what could be the reason of this error...
Anyone can help?
The start routine is this:
REFRESH i_tab.
SELECT field1 field2 field3
    INTO TABLE i_tab
    FROM target_dso
    FOR ALL ENTRIES IN DATA_PACKAGE
    WHERE deliv_numb = DATA_PACKAGE-deliv_numb

then i read this table in the other routines...

It is hard to say. What does the update rule look like?
after the read statement, you could check the return code. If it is not zero, go into an infinite loop, and debug it via SM37.
read table....

RS_EXCEPTION230 object Update rule not found

hi guys
while extracting the standard business content for 0gl_account i am facing the problem RS_EXCEPTION230 update rule object not found .The update rule appears as a white.
please help as this preventing me to move forward

Exactly, i had the same problem and have solved it as follow:
First you have to select the update rules (for example) and transfer them (you have to select the option 'Transfer', of the 'Transfer command), you will see that they will be activated without error, next step you can simulate them or include them into an order to transport to another environment.

Update rule not activating for Standard BI Content

This usually happens if if you have added new fields in the cube and if that field is not properly mapped , ie
no mapping being done but it looks like some routine there for that field but we would have not written the routine
just simply routine symbol appears in that case
if you dont have mapping assign it as initial in update rule or map them properly which will resolve your issue.

update rules are not activating. under the cube when BI content activation. What is the issue in activating the update rules from BI content. From BI content the available version objects only will be activated i think. Please rectify and resolve the same at the earliest friends.

Bi content update rule not in prod

Dear Experts,
I'm checking our BI production system today as part of our GO-LIVE activities and I realized that some objects are missing.
Namely the update rules for some attributes and texts of Master Data such as 0customer_ATTR,0customer_TEXT, 0Vendor_ATTR, 0Vendor_TEXT...
I don't know what went wrong as those objects are activated in our QA system.
I have only a few hours to check production then I am not supposed to access it.
Do you have suggestions on how to proceed?

Hi,
Before coming to issue, check if the infoobjects are modeledby direct update. If it is direct update then there wont be any update rules.
You can check weather they are transported to the target system or not. Goto transport connection-->check the objects weather collected in a package or not. If the transport is released there wont be any request number against it.
The better option is to collect the missing objects in a new TR and transport it. There is no big deal doing it as it is only update rules.

Thunderbolt Not reading Battery Correctly

Hey there!
I have been searching the net for this particular problem I am having and sofar have found nothing, so I was hoping maybe you guys could help me out.
My Thunderbolt after fully charging the battery will show at the highest about 60% battery life, if not lower. This morning for example it would only show 29%. I have bought 2 additional extended batteries for the phone, both will show around the same percent when fully charged.
I have tried doing the whole battery calibration "thing", with no success whatsoever. One time, after my phone died; I took the battery out of my phone and put it in my friends phone and it showed 82% remaining, yet my phone would say 0% and die. I have done multiple Factory Resets as well.
I've heard of a few other people having this problem and just warranting back the phone, but thats the problem. My warranty ran out a couple months ago. I had to replace my thunderbolt twice for random annoying issues, and when I got my Third phone (current), the battery wouldnt charge past 80% but i figured the battery was going out and not that big of a deal. The warranty ran out a couple months after I received my current phone so I decided to finally by addition Extended Batteries. And here I am. -_-
At most the battery will last maybe 3 hours under use, 5-6 with light use. If i leave it in standby, maybe around 8 hours. And this is with the Extended battery!
When my Phone dies, I am capable of pulling the battery out, waiting a minute, and putting the battery back in and wala! it will have a sudden 2-5% of battery life left again. I can usually do it 4-5 times before it wont work anymore.
Occasionally the phone will drain fast, get to anywhere from 19-2% and just sit at one specific percent for a few hours.
I have tried multiple charging cables including: Car Charger, Stock Phone Charger, Offbrand wall charger, and PC-USB charging.
I am thinking my phone is not reading the battery voltage correctly. When my phone stops charging, or really just sits at a random percent for forever, it shows roughly 3.822V. When the battery is "dead" according to my phone, it shows around 3.6 - 3.5V. I'm not completely sure if that is normal, or even relevant.
Any help would be most appreciated, thank you! And I apologize for the long post.

PC Charging is the Worst What i would Recommend is a H.T.C charger And buy a H.T.C O.E.M Battery a Extended Type if Possible.

I am trying to activate MM Cube (0PUR_C01)
But when collecting dependent objects for 0PUR_C01 with data flow before option, Once collection over, system throws the following message
1.             Object 0DB87SIC1 (InfoObject,IOBJ) could not be collected for object 0PUR_C01 (InfoCube,CUBE)
2.     Object 0DBGUDUNS (InfoObject,IOBJ) could not be collected for object 0PUR_C01 (InfoCube,CUBE)
3.     Object '0DB87SIC1' (IOBJ) of type 'InfoObject' is not available in version 'D'
4.     Object '0DBGUDUNS' (IOBJ) of type 'InfoObject' is not available in version 'D'
And also, I could able to see the following long text error message.
1.     You have collected objects in the BI Metadata Repository. Associated objects for object 0PUR_C01 of type InfoCube, CUBE have also been collected. Object 0DB87SIC1 of type InfoObject,IOBJ was among these objects
2.     However, this object 0DB87SIC1 of type InfoObject,IOBJ is not available in the metadata repository
3.     If this error occurs while you are installing BI Content, an error may have occurred during the delivery. Inform SAP. In all other cases, check that the object has not been deleted by another user during collection.
I tried to install those collected objects, the cube alone gets installed and visible in workbench. Update Rules are not getting installed. Even after,I have collected the update rule separately and tried to install lot of times, no luck for me
eventhough the job has been successful
If anybody came across this type errors, Please guide me to solve that

I have ods1, ods2. I am updating from ods1 to ods2. in ods2, i have KF 0conf_scrap. I have data like this 0.000,1.000.....I am writing the code in ods2 update rules on 0conf_scrap like this.
IF COMM_STRUCTURE-CONF_SCRAP <> 0.
RESULT = COMM_STRUCTURE-CONF_SCRAP.
ENDIF.
But I am still getting the 0 values. is anything wrong with the code? or is there any formula?

Update rules not getting installed from business content.

Hello,
One more major issue I am seeing is that my update rules for some cubes (0PUR_C01)are not getting installed at all from business content and the errors i am getting are like datasource 0vendor_text not maintained and then there is long list of such red lights. when actually I can see most of the datasources active in the datasource tab on BW side.
So i dont know how to get these update rules working.

Update rules not active

Actually i installed the 0CDS_C01 AND ,0CDS_C02( Sales Scheduling agreement Processing).when i'm activating the update rules its giving error message like
"IC=0CDS_C02 IS=80CDS_DS07 error when checking the update rules".

so go to object type and select the update rule with before collection and then
activate the same

Direct mapping in updates rules not functioning as expected

Hi experts,
I have a character string with only digits (NUMC) which is mapped in udpate rules of a ODS. Its a direct mapping from another ODS. Inspite of that, we are having scenarios where the source ODS is filled and the character in the destination ODS is coming as empty. The source ODS is looking up that value from another ODS.
I am wondering why is it so. I am in 3.5 enviornment.

Is it just this field coming up as blank or other fields too,
Do you any start routine or any kind of filtering in place in the update rules.
Just try to simulate a update and see if you can find anything.

Also make sure you "No Update" is not selected in update rules for this field.

BI Content Update rules not available for 0IC_C03 cube

We have recently did technical upgrade to our DEV box and made a system copy for sand box. I am trying to install the BI content for 0IC_C03 infocube. I cant see update rules for this data flow. I could see Transformations and can also see info source (ex: 2LIS_03_BF_TR) which we dont expect. We havent migrated or never used inventory BI content. What is the reason we could see transformations for this cube data flow in BI content? We are on SP15. I tried to install transformations but cant install them properly.

Business content it's still using 3.x data flow. That's why you see a 3.x infosource.
You won't have transformations for this. The update rules icon is like a transformation but with a small white square on the left.
So the dataflow you should have is:
Cube
Update Rules (0IC_C03 2LIS_03_BF)
    3.x InfoSource (Material movements (as of 2.0B))
      Transfer Rules
        Datasource
You'll see a small square next to all the objects, except for the cube. This means 3.x object.

FCP not reading templates correctly from Motion (Urgent)

Hi all,
I am trying to work in FCP (6.06) with templates created in Motion 3.0.2 But FCP seems to be seeing video drop zones as text layers!?
If I use a pre-existing template (or one I have created), when I bring it in to FCP I get the correct amount of input dialogue boxes for the amount of layers in the template, but regardless of whether they are drop zones or text layers the control dialogue box in FCP looks the same and I am unable to actually get anything to appear correctly on the timeline. It's driving me nuts!!
Also: when I have a template on my FCP timeline I am unable to save the project! I delete the template from the timeline and am able to save the project again...
Even weirder: I'm getting the same result on two machines!!
Any Ideas what could be causing this!? (i've tried software update and re-start)

Thank you to those who replied. By further process of elimination I have discovered that Motion does not recognize the ProRes 4444 Alpha Channel. When using a clip with the Animation Codec, it reads the alpha channel perfectly. The ProRes 4444 Clips I exported from Motion with Alpha work perfectly in After Effects ... so clearly Apple has a bug to fix
