"update rules inactive " error when importing transport request

Hi experts,
I am stuck while importing transport request of update rules. I am moving transport request of update rules from 1 system to another and stuck while importing it in 2nd system. Only two update rules are stuck among all giving an error of "inactive update rules".
I have again tranported it twice after activating theose two update rules.
Please help!!!!!

Can you provide more details of the issue like is it a DSO to DSO transformation, error message etc.

Hi,
Did you replicate the data source?. That could be the problem or there might be problem you have set up the source system on your BW system
make sure that the source system names are mapped from your R/3 dev to your R/3 QA. This is done on the BW QA (target system) RSA1 => Tools => mapping of source system names. make sure your entries are there for the logical system names of your dev to qa.
Then in the BW dev, when selecting the trasnfer rule make sure to select the appropriate source system. (souce system icon in tool bar)

Hi,
As you have collected more than one queries in a single request,first identify the query which is giving problem.For this you can go to se11 and diasplay table RSRREPDIR,go to output list of the table and under ID field give the hexa decimal Id that you got in the error log.The table will display the query associated with this.
In the target system check whether your query changes are reflecting or not.
Make sure that you have collected all the necessary elements ,that is variables ,resricted KFs etc.You can check this via RSA1 Transport connections.

Error while importting Transport Request

Hi,
I am getting following errors while Transporting requests from Development to Test System
Error getting fields for PSA /BIC/B0000643
Error occurred during post-handling RS_AFTER_IMPORT ofr DTPA L
The Transport request just contains one Transformation the corresponding DTP.
We are using BI 7 for Bank Analyzer and have just imported SP11. This problem has started coming only after the import of SP11.

Yes the DS were active. I tried to re-transport that too but the TR failed with similar error.
Finally I tried to manually activate the DTP in the Target system and got the same error. I rectified the problem by deleting the DTP from the Target system. But I am not sure why this happened. Please let me know if you have any idea abt the same.

I have transported APCO, AREA and IOBJ. Now I'm transporting Infosource for Master Data. For testing purpose I've transported 0EMPLOYEE (transfer rules & transfer structure).Its failed with return code 8.
The following log was displayed..

Diagnosis
Special data elements of the type and length of the source system are required for creating the transfer structure. When creating such a data element for InfoObject TXTMD errors occurred. The data element should be of type CHAR and length 000040.
Procedure
Check the log.
Check the data element /BIC/OW_###################### in ABAP Dictionary. Activate data element /BIC/OW_###################### there, and, if necessary, check the activation log.

When determining a number from number range object BI_TSDTEL and number range interval 01 an error occurred.
Procedure

As per the note given by you I would like to know about BI_TSDTEL. Because when I am trying to created number range for this object its showing pop-up that objects can only created by SAP package and these objects could not be saved under local package.

Without knowing much of what you are trying to do here like whether or not you are trying to promote/ demote a publishing site; I wanted to let you know about this limitation:
"For site collections that make use of the publishing feature it is not supported to migrate
root sites into sub sites or sub sites into root sites."

Requests can only be created from ChaRM!

How can I deactivate charm for short time and then activate it again?

Thanks for reply.
We have checked driver dim and region dim(s) members. Its looks fine. Even though we are facing import error.
As per basis guidance we have executed program SE38--> UJA_DATA_CHECKER on source system appset. And observed there are several errors showing up related to BPFs & Invalid attribute name ACCTYPE for CO_ENTITY dimension.
If any of you faced similar issue. Please share your input in this regard.

Error when generating transport dataset (transfering queries with RSAQR3TR)

Hi!
I try to transfer queries from one system to other.
Systems are not connected with each other, so no transports are available.
I am doing like this:
- running program RSAQR3TR in "old" system
- downloading a query as TXT file into my PC
- running program RSAQR3TR in "new" system
- uploading TXT file into "new" system and get a message - "Error when generating transport dataset"
I have only query and user group in "old" system. Is this information enough to transfer them to "new" system?

Hi,
Step 1. Run RSAQR3TR in 'old' system. Select EXPORT and specify the objects to be transported.
(System includes these in an automatically created transport request)
Step 2. Release this transport and request it be transported to 'new' system.
(This results in the entries being populated in transport table AQTDB in 'new' system).
Step 3. Run RSAQR3TR in 'new' system. Select IMPORT and tick the Overwrite checkbox. Specify the transport number in the field labelled 'dataset with imports'.
(RSAQR3TR gives the message that stuff has been imported OK).
Step 4. if you still couldn't find the queries, so ran RSAQR3TR one more time, this time specifying 'Copy Standard Area -> Global Area'

Error when import BI content 3.5.3

Hi All
I have error when import BI content 3.5.3 step at Tcode 'SAINT' (file SAPKIBIFIH.car) for mySAP ERP 2004 (ECC 5.0 IDES).
The error occur in step 3/5 after enter SAINT:Passw request.
System shown information "Queue SAPKLTHQ10 has not yet been confirmed".
In step 4/5 sytem shown statue/remarks "The Add-on installation terminated during phase PROLOGUE".
I think about installation THAI font package at Tcode "SMLT" uncompleted.
I run report "RSCPINST" at Tcode "SE38" for editing codepage after that the system shown error message "MDMP is not supported foe SAP Business Information Warehouse. Message no.RIN010" Please see sap note 563975.
Note: When i import Thai font package "SAPKLTHQ10" using Tcode "SMLT" the system shown error message "TL1277" in define schedule job step.

Diagnosis
You want to start the post-import methods for special texts (calendar texts, terminology, and glossary) for language Thai.
Before this can happen, the system checks whether this server is prepared for this language. The system also checks whether the language environment can be switched dynamically on this server (see ABAP command SET LOCAL LANGUAGE).
System response
The system established that the language environment cannot be switched to language Thai.
The language transport is stopped at this point.
Procedure
The switch of the language environment may fail for the following reasons:
1. The database codepage is not up-to-date.
2. The codepage information for language Thai is not up-to-date.
3. Locales for language Thai do not exist, or are invalid, at the operating system level.
4. The profile parameter zcsa/installed_languages has to be adjusted.
If an error occurs, proceed as follows:
1. Find out the name of the server on which the language import job ran. Log on to this server.
2. Check the language configuration using report RSCPINST. Solve the reported problem there.
If your system consists of multiple application servers and not all of them have authorization for language Thai, continue the language import on a server that has authorization for language Thai.

This is a long story that you write, but your problem seems just that you must "Confirm the queue". Is that correct?
Without this step no further Support Packages can be inserted into the system. Confirming the queue is done by one of the buttons in the SPAM transaction. Just put the mouse on the buttons and read the quick help to differentiate between the buttons.
I have never had a problem like this but I think it can happen if, together with the new BI version you also include one or more support packs. This happens automatically if these packages are available, so you may not even have noticed it.

Update rules wont activate after import

Hi,
I am struggling with few of the update rules not activating after import. Is there any mass update program which will activate all the update rules similar to RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL for transfer structure.
I dont understand why its failing is it because i am not transfering the datasources for the data targets. All the 8* update rules are not activating.
can someone put some light on this....I am sure someone has faced a problem like this.

I am thinking of writing a program to perform the import of transport request into the system after the transport request is added to the buffer.
The transport request is added to the buffer using FTP.

My 2 systems are not linked to each other, one is running SAP 4.7 and the other is running ECC6.0. Can I still use STMS_IMPORT?
When I use STMS_IMPORT, I hit some errors. It is either "tp finished: A tool used by tp broke down" or "tp finished: A tool used by tp aborted". DO you have any idea what is wrong? Thanks for your help.
