Update Supplier details on iSupplier Portal - Impact on existing Purchasing Documents
I would like to understand the impact of updating Supplier details on iSupplier Portal on the existing Purchasing documents like POs, BPAs.
Hi,
I think you won't be able to pay for the existing purchasing documents if you end-date a site/address using supplier profile of the iSupplier. Updates to the bank information will have a payment impact as well.
It is always advisable to close the open purchasing documents prior to closing/deactivating a supplier.
You may also perform supplier merge to transfer open purchasing documents to a active supplier and then close/deactivate site, bank etc.
Thanks,
PS.

Impact on all purchasing documents print when we upgrade from 4.6 to ECC6.0
I came across this below statement about PO print. What is the impact on all purchasing documents print when we upgrade to ECC6.0 from 4.6c? How to overcome it ??
It seems the way a PO is printed in 4.6c is somewhat different from the way it prints in ECC 6.0. In 4.6c, it references elements within the PO form (MEDRUCK) which holds the data to print a PO. In the ECC 6.0, it doesn't seem to reference these elements on the PO form and so it must put the data out to the form (MEDRUCK) in a different way. We actually use a customized version of the PO form (ZPO_MEDRUCK) and in our testing of the ECC 6.0 it will not print due to the data is not getting out to the form like it was in the 4.6c version. We are getting errors identifying the data is undefined when the new version in ECC 6.0 has defined this PO data different than the way it was in 4.6c. Hi Venkat,
I think you might have the change the form name in Nace.
Secondly, in you custorm form if you have any routines called then check the declaration-I am stressing on this because when you look at your PO item fields in 4.6c and ECC 6.0 , there are two new fields added -Iam not sure whether this would help you but just check in case .
lET ME KNOW IF YOU HAVE RESOLVED THE ISSUE

Problem with updating Passport details from ESS portal
HI Experts,
Some of my employees were unable to input passport details from ESS portal -own data.
Employee who belong to south korea are getting the problem.
Even though we fill every field, system is showing an error that "" Fill in all required entry fields ""
In spro...we maintained country grouping as 41 and IT 0185 and subtype and we use rthe case B2 in speciy use case and activity subtypes.
Another thing, when we update data in 0185IT by R/3 by backend it is not showing up the details in ESS.
Could you please give me an idea to resolve the problem.
Regards,
Sairam.Hi Experts,
No details were maintained in the table V_T588MFPROPC for this infotype.
Employee with other country grouping were able to up-date passport details in portal.
Where as south korea employees are not able to update the passport details.
For south korea employees..they have to update passport details with sutype 01 in ESS portal.
Even though we fill all the details it is showing fill in all required entries.
In table V_T588MFPROPS..no details were maintained for version 41.
In portal we have to maintain..ICNUM,ICOLD,AUTH1,FPDAT,EXPID,ISSPL,ISCOT,IDCOT.
In r/3(by backend) we can maintain all these details including ID TYPE(ictyp). We have only one subtype(passport) in 0185 for this south korea. What details shall we need to maintain for version 41.
Please let me know, why system is showing error even we maintain all the details.
Please advice.

Flow of Purchase order /Blanket agreement to iSupplier portal
All,
Created a user login for a supplier in the iSupplier portal and made Standard purchase order and Blanket purchase agreement against the supplier.I am not able to view the PO details in the iSupplier portal login of the supplier. Can anyone detail on the mandatory setups that need to carried out for PO info to flow into iSupplier portal.
Thanks,
SubbuThe isupplier portal drives off the purchasing archive tables.
po_headers_archive_all - etc..
Ensure that under Setup/Purchasing/Document Types - you have Archive on Approve.
This will ensure your purchasing data hits the archive tables.
If you still cannot see it - then the problem lies in the securing attributes on your login.
The more you have the more restrictive the portal is.
Lastly, if those are proper then your problem lies in the setup of your Security Profilie - created in the Human Resources module, allocating
access to the Operating Unit(s). You will need to create the Security Profile - and assign it to your MO and HR Security Profiles.
Then retest.
Don't forget to run the Security List Maintenance request in the Human Resources Module to ensure proper seeding of your new
security profile.

R12 Updating Supplier Site Payment Detail Email
Hi All,
When I update supplier site email adrress from Payment Details > Separate Remittance Advce Deliver tab, I can't see that it is getting updated in WF_LOCAL_ROLES table. ( after synchronization ). This causes remittance advice sent to wrong email address when the work flow is running.
Can some one please check and let me know how should we enable it? Or Is it working in R12 as I have explained above. (modifying payment details email address and seeing it in wf_local_roles table ) ?
Thank You,

Searching RFQ in iSupplier Portal
HI All,
In Isupplier Portal , we can see RFQ tab
Orders-->RFQ
In this v can search an RFQ created in Purchasing Module, but we dont receive an notification in iSupplier Portal?
can we send a RFQ from Purchasing responsibility to iSupplier Portal?
is it possible?
Thanks
SYRDear SYR
I dont think so it is possible or i can say yet we have not tried this option, but logically if we go in detail in that case if we are creating the RFQ in purchasing module in that case based on the hard copy submitted by the supplier buyer will capture his quote details in the system and the will analyze the same and create the PO.
Also note if you have implemented the Sourcing module in that case we can create the RFI, RFQ or Auction in the sourcing module and we can publish the same for the suppliers and if the suppliers are register with the system they can submit there quote online. Also Sourcing module give us the more flexibility while working on RFQ transaction such as we can use attributes, requirements, scoring etc...
And the RFQ created in the sourcing application the same can be viewed in the isupplier responsbility under order tab.
If you required any help in detail for the sourcing module please let me know.

Not Able to see PO Orders in Isupplier Portal.
Hi,
1)I have created supplier
2) I Have created PO orders and approved .
3) Then I switch responsbility to Isupplier Portal full access.
4) It tried to create Advance billing notification (ABN ) but I am not able to see PO orders .( I am not able to see any PO so far )
any idea why I am not able to see any PO.
Thaks
RajHi Raj,
Please check your securing attributes at the supplier user level. The securing attributes values are created atthe time of supplier registry or can be added/updated manually at the user form (sysadmin).
For instance : if there is securing attribute 'ICX_SUPPLIER_CONTACT_ID' with a specific value, than that mean that only po documents that have this supplier contact id can be displayed in the portal.

Perform custom validation on invoices created via iSupplier portal in R12
Hello,
It seems that since R12, invoices created on iSupplier portal are no longer loaded via Payables open interface tables (while ASBN's still are). It is nice that they are loaded immediately but now we do not have any way to perform custom validation that we normally do via AP_INTERFACE_WORKFLOW_PKG.do_custom_validation procedure.
Is there any way to modify how iSupplier portal inserts Invoice data into AP tables? In particular we would like to choose specific document category for certain suppliers.
Many thanks in advance,
KamilHi Friends,
Apologies to have put this in SCM-Costing Category. I just posted the same thing in Financials Category.
Please ignore this, if found irrelevant under this category.

Background of Upgrade*
Following errors were reported during upgrades but we continued upgrade since they could not be fixed. There are several Invalid objects in the DB that starts with OKC but they still remain even after I tried to recompile them through 'adadmin' or through SQL prompt or 'frmcmp' command (as stated below).
frmcmp module=%AU_TOP%/resource/OKEKAULN.pll userid=APPS/APPS output_file=%AU_TOP%/resource/OKEKAULN.plx module_type=library batch=no compile_all=special
I beleive OKC schema is related to 'Oracle Contracts' module.
The following Oracle Forms objects did not generate successfully:

An error occurred while generating Oracle Forms library files. Thanks for replying. I have already applied the mega patch 9239090 to upgrade to 12.1.3. The metalink notes you have given refers to patches released prior to patch 9239090. How to check whether the new patch will not overwrite the one I have already applied and will not conflict with it? Will it be automatically taken care by 'adpatch' utility?adpatch should take care of that and it should not overwrite any file if the file version you have is higher than the one delivered by the patch.
Thanks,

Hi,
In Maintain capacity under planning tab of isupplier portal page, when we select a row and click on Maintain capacity,we get a detail page.In that page we r asked to specify the capacity/day for the given date range. This date field doesnot support the format dd-mon-yy/dd-mm-yy but takes date for eg 3-jul-02 but not 03-jul-02(or) 30-jul-02.
kindly help. The date format is calculated using country and language settings.
Check SAP Notes 947081 and 1164528 which deal with this topic.
If you use an R/3 based store (UME User Management Engine) in the backend system to keep your user data please ensure that you have not only maintained the language setting but also the country setting. Both in combination determine the NetWeaver Web Dynpro locale and in consequence the calendar date format that is used, e.g. DD/MM/YYYY for Australian English and MM/DD/YYYY for USA English.
Thanks,

Is it possible to implement iSupplier Portal for Employee type Vendors
We have iSupplier portal for external suppliers which we customized to show only invoices and payment advices.
Is it possible to implement the same to our internal employees without creating them as new suppliers ?
We want employees use iSupplier portal to view their expense(payments). If you are using presentation API then as Nagarajan said, you can use Endeca Dimension Search to power your TypeAhead/Predictive search. Below are a few pointers that may help.
Trigger typeahead only after user enters a few characters (ideally after 2-3 characters).
Introduce a delay of a few milliseconds between your Endeca Searches.
Limit the Dimensions to include using the Di parameter.
Control the number of dimVals returned and other Dimension behavior using Drc and Dp
Use Drc (to evaluate InStock products) in a seperate query with D=* to get a list of all valid DimVal IDs. Cache them and use this list to remove any out of stock dimVal IDs from the real query results.
Use Dk and Dx to control match mode and your relevance ranking strategy to sort your results.
Oracle Commerce Services also offers a prepackaged service called Endeca Predictive Search (EPS) module that can be quickly implemented to power TypeAhead. EPS provides other configurable features like caching, record search, frequent matches ,etc. Reach out to your Oracle representative if that intersts you.
All the best! I hope this helps.
Best,
Kaush
P.S. Google limits the search result to 4 which, works for them and might work for you but to exploit the full potential of Predictive Search based on Endeca, try HomeDepot.com, Staples.com, etc. for inspiration. -
ISupplier Portal - How to hide document types BPA and CPA
Hi,
I have already posted my question in SCM - Order Management forum.
Not sure whether this is the right forum to put question related to iSupplier Portal. Please guide me if I am wrong.
My requirement:
In the iSupplier home page's orders tab, Supplier can see all the Purchase documents - Standard Purchase Orders, Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPA), Contract Purchase Agreements (CPA), Blanket Releases.
Business has a requirement where they dont want to display BPA and CPA to the Supplier; rest all document types should be visible via iSupplier Portal. We need to control the visibility of purchase documents on the whole iSuppleir portal not only in the iSupplier home page's Orders tab.
1. Can we restrict the supplier users on document types?
2. We would like to know if there are any Securing Attributes to achive the requirement. Or do we need to create custom Securing Attributes to achive the requirement.
Any suggestion or hint will be appreciated.
