Update the firmware for RTX 4088

I got my phone today and tried to update the latest firmware. I had some calls succesfully already and there is no problem with calling, but I still cannot update the firmware and it showed me that "No connection to update server". Is there any setthing which I would need to activate before doing this? version is 0138
Is there anyone who had this experience and would share?
Thanks,

I'm having exactly the same problem, though my firmware is 0141 (not sure if this is the latest). When I select the 'Firmware update' option, I'm immediately given that "No connection to update server" message (not sure if it even tries to connect to it, as this all happens immediately), and no further options (Latest Firmware / Current Firmware / All Firmware vers.") are presented. I tried to reset the base station several times, to no avail.

the fan is really loud. It was more quiet before i updated it, is there anyway to uninstall the update??
    thanks

My CPU usuage is very low, as the fan kicks in hard after 30 to 40 seconds after boot up.
This WAS a problem free macbook until I installed firmware update 1.1, wish I hadn't bothered
Done all the PRAM resets, Disk utilites etc... nothing works.
Apple support told me to re install OSX and do a selective Software update excluding the SMC update to 1.1. Told me to wait for update 1.2

  • Updating the Firmware?

Can this be done on a Mac yet?
Or is it still a pc only option.. As i'd love to update my external pioneer drive firmware.. Come to think of it, i'd love to update the internal one too.. But Matshita never seem to update the firmware :o(

Well if that was the case.. I would of had one by now.. The only time Apple updates the firmware for the superdrive.. If a problem occured.. The firmware updates corrects new types of media and so on.. or new types of dyes used in different media.. Something that shouldn't really concern Apple
But Superdrive makers.. It should concern them.. But they aint interested one bit.. Thats why when you contact them, you never get a reply.. But if you had a Pioneer Drive they are most aware that having the most up to date firmware is important, to both their drives that the users of their drives

  • Hi anyone. Can I buy an SD card reader for my old Powerbook G4, OSX, 10.4.11 and it's only USB. I've never needed one previously but I now need to update the firmware on my camera. Can I get one, if so which one's best? Many thanks.

    Hello,
If it is a PowerBook G4 with a PC Card slot, you have two possibilities. You could buy a USB card reader for SD, or a PC Card adapter (such as SanDisk's 6-in-1adapter). Please note that you are or may be limited to plain SD (that is, not SDHC) unless otherwise noted. For a USB reader, make sure that it has Mac support. BTW, is an SD card absolutely necessary for the firmware update; is there not a way of updating via cable? If you post back with the camera model, someone may be able to provide additional information.

  • IMac G3 won't boot after updating the firmware and upgrading the OS!

    Hi! Everyone,
I have an iMac G3 333MHz (five flavors) which comes with 192MB of RAM and 6GB of hard drive. Originally, it was OS 8.5.1 installed, later upgraded to OS 9.2.2. Of course, the firmware has been updated by the appropriate method provided by the on-screen instructions before the installation of 9.2.2. After successfully updating the firmware and installing Mac OS 9.2.2, the system booted up and worked fine. However, after shutting it down and powering it up a few days later, I have encountered a critical problem:
    1. At first, the iMac would chime and displayed a smiley-mac finder face.
    2. No question mark appeared and the system halted because it stayed at the same screen for about 5 minutes! Also, the keyboard wouldn't respond. For instance, the LED signal light wouldn't light on when Caps Lock was pressed.
    3. I assumed that this is just a typical crash and rebooted the machine via the "reset" button on the right side of the machine.
    4. After restarting, well, no luck, the same condition. Therefore, I rebooted it again by using the method mentioned above.
    5. The condition of sticking at the smiley-mac finder face occurred again! However, this time the iMac wouldn't chime and just displayed the mac face.
    6. Another restart, well, it was getting worse... no chime and no smiley-mac finder face but a white screen.
    7. I was frustrated then and shut the machine down forcefully by rebooting it again and pressing on the power bottom quickly before the screen appears. Also, I unplugged the power cord.
    ---------- After a few hours later ----------
    8. Okay, I then plugged the power cord in and booted it up again, this time, it would chime but stuck at the white screen. => No smiley-mac finder face appeared!
    9. Rebooted it again, the result was as same as step 8.
    10. Another restart, the smiley-mac face finally appeared but still... stuck here and this time, no chime.
    11. I then shut the machine forcefully by using the method mentioned above and let the machine rest for about a day with the power cord unplugged.
    ---------- After resting for a day ----------
    12. I booted it up and it would chime, but no screen (the power button was orange, not green). I then forcefully shut down the machine.
    13. Waited for about a minute and powered it up. This time, I tried to clear the PRAM, but no chime and gave me a white screen. => No luck! As mentioned, the keyboard's LED signal light wouldn't light on even though the Caps Lock key has been pressed.
*Note: The keyboard has been tested on the other computers and it worked. Also, I tried different USB ports to plug the keyboard in. => The USB ports were all in working condition, as I can know from the last successful start up.
    14. Forcefully shut the machine down and tried to enter the Open firmware, no luck. It didn't enter and gave my a white screen.
    15. Conclusion:
    1) After resting for a while, the iMac would chime.
    2) Rebooting too much times would cause the machine not to chime and leaded the screen to become white instead of the smiley-mac finder face.
    3) However, rebooted the machine when the screen became white, the smiley-mac finder face would appear again without chime.
By the way, I could hear the hard disk spinning up so that means the hard disk is working.
Can anyone help me solve this problem? Is it related to the firmware update? Any suggestions will be appreciated! Thanks!
    Andy

OK, I will try replacing the PRAM battery. Also, the PowerMac G3 and the other iMac 233MHz had the dead batteries. They are still working though... Should I replace them along with the iMac 333MHz? In case of not replacing, will they malfunction in future times? There are some symptoms on this two machines: 1. iMac 233MHz - No chime and no sound when adjusting system volume (the bi sound is not available), but iTunes and other applications can still use the audio device and output the sound via internal speakers; 2. PowerMac G3 450MHz - Will chime but sometimes hard to boot: 1) Chime but no screen; 2) No respond after pressing the power button => the power signal light won't light on. Every time I experienced this, I would open its case, pressing a small button (not quite understand what it does... anyway, just works if system halted.) near the PRAM battery and wait for about a minute, then close the case, and it boots. However, I have to reset "Date & Time"...

  • Updating of firmware for drive Optiarc DVD Rw AD-5680H

updating of firmware for drive Optiarc DVD Rw AD-5680H
it seems compulsory since burning of DVD Verbatim disks are failed
but successful with Verbatim DVD -RW
    Mac Mini ,Mountain Lion etc
the drive of my PowerBook Pro
    works well
    Mashita DVD -R UJ -868
where can I find and download this updafe
    THKS

Failure with one type of optical media and not another -- even from the same manufacturer -- is not unusual. DVDs and DVD-RWs use different dies that respond to different lasers in the optical drive. There are numerous other possibllities here.
It would not be unusual if the write laser for DVDs has burned out but the DVD-RW is still working becasue they use entirely separate lasers of a different intensity and frequency.
It may be the dyes used in a particular lot of Verbatim DVDs are not quite compatible with the DVD lasers in your drive (that is independent of DVD-RWs because they use different lasers.
Because of manufacturing variations your drive may burn other brands of DVD blanks flwlessly, but just won't work with Verbatim DVD blanks.
The DVD Read/Write lasers in your drive may simply be dirty.
Changing/updating the firmware in an optical can be done, but there is a definite risk of converting the optical drive into something useful only as a paper weight.
Try another brand of DVD blank or even a different model Verbatim. (I have seen cases where discs from a different manufacturing lot from the same vendor worked when another failed.)
If you are using DVD-R blanks try a DVD+R (there again different lasers are involved.
It is tricky to clean slot loading optical drives, but sometimes simply blowing them out with short bursts of canned air will work. Be sure the computer has been powered down for a good while and the optical drive is completely cooled. Then use only short bursts of air to prevent super cooled liquid air from getting into the drive. That can easily crack the lenses if you aren't careful.
If your Mac mini is less than a year old or you have Apple Care, get an appointment and take it to the Genius Desk of the nearest Apple store. If you aren't covered under warranty a bus powered external optical drive very probably costs less than the labor charge to diagnose the issue with your drive.

  • Updating the firmware of an older airport extreme

I have an early version of the Airport extreme and, probably 1st gen airport express.  Is there anyway to update the firmware on these devices so that they have the most recent firmware versions available to those devices. The only identifying info on them is their model numbers.
On the express it is Model# A1084 and on the Extreme it is Model # A 1034.  I realize that these are older units and don't expect much from them, just would like to be able to do it.

The most recent firmware update for both devices that you mention was 8+ years ago, so you likely already have the most up to date firmware that the devices can handle.
5.7 would be the latest firmware for the AirPort Extreme and 6.3 would be the latest for the Express.

I browsed several boards and a huge set of websites but did find anything related.

At the first time yes, because i'm using an extra raid controller. That's because the environment 'boot-device' has to be set to a value different than 'disk'.
At the end of the jumpstart installation i have to type 'init 6' for reboot manually and the environment 'boot-device' has its default value. Thats why the server isn't boot and fall back to net boot.

  • Updating the firmware of a DVR-112D

I have been searching the discussions here and in other places trying to find a way to update the firmware that my DVR-112D uses...eventhough I am running Lion.
The actual Firmware that my original drive has is BC-14 / MMC-3 and I have read that there are ways to update the drive....but I wonder if anyone here can help me to solve this issue...
    thanks

Hello mooblie....thanks for your kind answer but the fact of the matter is that doing it using a pc is a no go for me. I don't have one, and even more, doing the procedure in a pc requires first to get the driver out of the mac and then with the internal drive (which is without an external enclosure) somehow open, trying to connect it to the pc....it is both risky and it's a lot of work.
Wile searching for answers that could be implemented for the Mac, well, I even found the recipe as to hows athis can be achieved via Terminal. So as you can see, que purpose of posting this topic here has been hoping that maybe within mac there was another way of accomplishing the task without soo much strugle.
    Cheers

  • How do I update the Firmware on the Quantum Router?

So the Quantom router is missing a bunch of features the old action tech router had.  Advanced filteringis gone, I am hoping a firmware update would bring it back.  I go to look to upgade or check for a firmware update and that isn't there either.
How do I update the Firmware on the Quantum Router?

The current Quantum firmware version is 0.26.29.
Firmware updates are automatically pushed by Verizon.  If you have an older version, reboot the router and it should pickup the new version.
    Enjoy.

  • Update the firmware on my airport express from 7.4.2 to 7.5.2

When I press update the firmware on my airport express from 7.4.2 to 7.5.2 using the airport tool says:
This device and its network service is temporarily unavailable. will you continue?
When I press deliberately and pressed into the code goes started to download the update, but come quickly with this message:
Airport Utility could not find the AirPort wireless device after restarting. You may need to select your network manage network connections and try again.
But my airport lights up green as if it works and I may well be on the net and listen wireless music.
How do I get updated firmware?

Chances are, the update was downloaded and installed successfully.
Try powering down your entire network....every device.....order is not important
    Wait a few minutes
Start the modem first and let it run for 2-3 minutes by itself
Start the next device connected to the modem the same way
Continue starting devices one at a time about a minute apart until everything is powered back up
    What happens?
