Update to 11.01 failed twice
Hi,
I just tried to update to 11.01. PS was open the first time, but was closed after the download started the second time. Only my email app-Eudora was open both times.
What now?

Win Vista Home Premium, CS4 + all other progs were closed when trying either via Adobe updater or via download and manual install.
Previous updates have worked.

I could not find a installation log file from today. The latest one I found is from 01-14-2015. It does'nt show any issue. (see attached)
The error message I received during the latest attempts to update Photoshop CC 2014 is (translatetd into English):
"Update failed - More Infos"
"The downloaded files could not be extracted. Click on "Repeat" to repeat the download. (U44M1I210)"

Hi!
I'm trying to create new person to SAP HCM by using SAP ERP HCM Process and Forms functionality. Process is defined to be fast entry process: NO_WORKFLOW value in workflow template.
I have defined process' attributes CENTRAL_PERSON as blank and PERNR attribute to get default value from business process logic's (DEF) from SAP_PA (infotype 1: 0001-PERNR).
When process is trying to check values it gives me error "Perosnal number 00000000 could not be locked; lock 00000000 failed twice". Error's message class is HRASR00_FBD and message number is 011.
I debugged the ISR process and the actual error is raised in CL_HRPA_MASTERDATA_ENQ_DEQ class' method ENQUE_BY_PERNR.

I asked this from SAP. I got following answer:
Error "Personnel number &1 could not be locked; lock & failed twice - HRASR00_FBD 011" is sometimes raised due to default value of field PERSG, PERSK, and WERKS. Can you please make sure that these fields have a manual default value assigned on your process to be sure that pernr can be generated?
You can also try to check whether standard hire processes like HIRE_01 or HIRE_10 are working correctly or same lock error is raised.
I valuated also PERSG, PERSK and WERKS and after that the process was valuated with new personnel number taken from number range.
So result was that new number was taken from number range immediatelly when my data entry form was shown (I use process without workflow = fast entry) --> If user uses to form without saving (= abort new employee creation), one number is taken from number range, but not used. I ended up with solution that system is not getting the number automatically in start of the process (= I don't valute those PERSG, PESK and WERKS, they are valuated in form by user anyway). Instead I take manually new number form employee's number range (RP_PREL) before the data checks by using function module NUMBER_GET_NEXT.
Hopefully the solution by valuating PERSG, PERSK and WERKS works for you.

From the above errors, I am guessing that you may be trying to run CheckDB / Update statistics jobs from DB13 for REMOTE DB Instance located on Remote Host (i.e. QAS instance).
If my guess is right then, please refer [SAP Note 1256322 - Establishing a remote database connection in DBACOCKPIT|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1256322] and do the required settings as listed in that SAP Note 1256322 and then retry.
Also ensure that latest BR*tools is in use with the required permissions on local/remote hosts.
Permissions 4775 should be there for brarchive, brbackup, brconnect, brtools with owner ora<sid> and group sapsys.
Permissions 755 should be there for brrestore, brrecover, brspace with owner <sid>adm and group sapsys.
Use the following commands to change the permissions & owners/groups for the same.
chmod 4775 brarchive, brbackup, brconnect, brtools
chown ora<sid>:sapsys brarchive, brbackup, brconnect, brtools
chmod 755 brrestore, brrecover, brspace
chown <sid>adm:sapsys brrestore, brrecover, brspace
ORA-12546: TNS:permission denied
If QAS is the remote DB host, then copy+paste the TNS entry in file tnsnames.ora of monitoring system (located at /oracle/<SID>/<Rel>_64/network/admin location). Its guided in the above suggested SAP Note 1256322. then check the connectivity using tnsping <Instance ID>. It should be completed with success and response time.

CCO recommends to send in this box to Cisco ! but the new box from my reseller has the same problem / behavior !!!
any idea ?I did the same thing, TAC support said they've had like 20 people complain about this. He said "there is no reason to update the boot code on a 3005 model. It is only needed on the 3015 and higher models to support RAM chips larger than 256MB." TAC support said DO NOT UPDATE the boot code on the 3005.
I suggested that they make note of this SOMEWHERE in their documentation. He provided me with some hidden low-level commands to erase the boot code, but as he said the 3005 doesn't need v4 of the boot code, and the boot code hasn't been tested for it, it's possible it would just break the concentrator. He then added the only way to 'fix' a damaged boot code is to replace the entire unit. He suggested we not touch it anymore, and leave the boot code running as-shipped. -

There is a maximum number of photos that can be put into the photo stream.
Photos do not remain in photo stream indefinitely. After 90 days photos are deleted. -
Ok so I'm trying to update my iPad, and it keeps "timing out." I got to the actual update process, and it failed and asked me to restore my iPad, but I just can't lose all of my apps and photos! I payed for a lot of my apps, and my photos are just too important. Someone please help!
If rhe apps and photos are that important you made sure that you took the steps in order to keep them safe in an event like this didn't you?
You did backup the iPad before you decided to update the iPad correct?
And you did transfer all of your apps and other purchases into iTunes before you decided to update correct?
If you did, just restore the iPad and then restore from the backup at the end of fhe process and follow that with a sync with iTunes and you will lose nothing,
Now if you didn't do any of the precautionary steps .... -
I'm having problems installing OS X update 10.9.2. Twice I have tried to install, and both times I get the message - Update could not be verified. Can anyone advise ?
Are you updating from the App Store when you get that error message?
