Just read this: Updates to apps are being Blocked that are not approved by Verizon. So what does this mean to You an Me if we got an app or apps say 6 months ago an even if we paid for it. if verizon sees the Need to block it an does it. you won't be able to update it. Hold the power button and the home button down until the screen goes black and the apple logo appears. This will do a reset and you should be able to update your apps then.

Hi I have just got back from the apple store and the guy at the Genius bar looked at it and said it was a manufacturing fault, and because it has been like it since new, and seemed to be getting worse he replaced the computer and I have a new warranty from today.
We got the feeling as soon as he looked at it that he has seen this before, I did say to him I was concerned it would be a replacement screen and I was not really happy about that as it was so new, and he said that was the normal procedure, but as the fault was already there at new and it was getting worse they would replace. I could not have asked for a better service.
Not unpacked this one yet but am hoping all is good, its a great little machine.

After update multiple apps crashes and safari does connect to internet

Hey everybody!
I just rebooted my mac from an update and suddenly several apps crashes on start
(Skype, chrome, qq,...all I need for work)
Also some apps like safari, AppStore won't connect as if there was no internet, while iTunes works fine
Search suggestions work on safari address bar but I can't connect, not even to router.
I unfortunately don't have a backup...
Can someone help please?

Try restarting the router and your computer. Are you using Ethernet or Wi-Fi?

HT201272 I changed my email address and now I can't update my apps

I am unable to update purchases I made with my old email address since I updated my apple account with my new email.
When I try to update an old app I am prompted to put in my password for my old address, therefore it does not recognise the password, and password reminder doesn't work as its not the email in my account anymore.
How can I update these apps or change the email address associated with them?

Did you just change your address, or create a new iTunes account? If it is not a new account you will first have to fix the password problem. Email iTunes Store support if you cannot figure out how to resolve the problem. Have you updated your login on the phone, in addition to iTunes on your computer?
To update your iPhone you need to install the latest version of iTunes (10.5). You also need an iPhone 3GS or iPhone 4. The 3G cannot be upgraded beyond 4.2.1.

click that link, and pick itunes store. E-mail them about your message. They will e-mail back and let you know if you owe them or there is another "billing problem". That is what Tim meant. He answered your question, not me, but you r welcome.

Aftr converting to Mavericks could not able to update/download applications through spp store and have to force quit app store as the mouse does not click the X button

Do you get any error messages?
Try resetting the App Store.
Reset Learned from Old Toad
Try deleting the com.apple.appstore.plist.
Quit the application.
Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J. When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder. Select Preferences/com.apple.appstore.plist. Move the .plist to your desktop.
Open the application and test. If it works okay, delete the plist from the desktop.
If the application is the same, return the .plist to where you got it from, overwriting the newer one.

Your advice did not help me. I also installed 10.7.4 combo but the situation is the same.

Apps can only be updated using the same Apple ID and password they were originally purchased with.
