Good evening
i tried to update my labtop toshiba c 850 but the update failed
please help me
I follw the all instruction like update windows, uninstall realtek wireless and bluetooth and toshiba service
also uninstalled kaspersky
please help me

You have to uninstall component like:
1. AMD Display Driver (ONLY required on Model Part Numbers beginning with PSD24U, PSD24M , PSD24P)
2. Intel Proset
3. Intel Wireless Display
4. Nvidia GE Force GTxxxx (includes all drivers that begin with Nvidia GE Force GT)
5. Realtek Audio driver
6. Realtek Bluetooth Filter Driver Package
7. Realtek WLAN Driver
8. TOSHIBA PC Health Monitor
Then download the Win 8.1 update from Windows store.
Then disable all internet connection. Also LAN! Disconnect the LAN cable!
Start Win 8.1 update. Finish the update and reboot the notebook (all this without the internet connection)
Then use another computer to download and to update all the Toshiba Windows 8.1 update driver which you can find on the Toshiba EU driver page. Install and update everything as mentioned in installation instruction and reboot the notebook again. Then you can connect notebook to internet and Windows 8.1 should run properly.

    Hi,
I am afraid there is no another way to update to Windows 8.1 apart from the Windows Store.
However, If the installation is interrupted for any reason, you can restart the update from where you left off by going back to the Store and downloading the update again.

  • Security Update for Windows XP KB979482 Fails to Install

The KB979482 update continually fails to install with a 0x8007F007 error code. It has done so from Boot Camp 2.0 through 3.2. Windows XP Pro SP3 is installed and all other critical and optional updates have installed without problem. Currently running Boot Camp 3.2, OS X 10.5.6. As best as I can determine the error code means the update found the system waiting for a reboot following a previously installed update and cancels the installation. Of course there have been a number of reboots. I have tried to install the update with the Firewall and Bitdefender anti-virus on and off.
    Any help is appreciated.

Ok slap me, the solution was too easy. Did a manual download of the update at the following address. Executed the downloaded file and the update installed. Checked that the updated was successfully installed by running Windows update and it no longer showed up as needing to be done.

  • ITunes 9.2 update on windows 7 x64 failed What I did to fix it

Seems like everybody else had the same problems. In my case the upgrade originally failed with a 2324 error. It suggested trying again and if it continued that I should select tools download only. That is what I did. It will save the files to: C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\Apple\Apple Software Update .
    The five files are:
    AppleApplicationSupport
    AppleMobileDeviceSupport64
    Bonjour64
    iTunes64
    SetupAdmin
    1. I started by running SetupAdmin.
    2. Then I tried to install Bonjour64. Opps there is my 2324 error. So I clocked Start->Run->Services.msc In the list of services rightclick on Bonjour and select Stop Service. Then Click Start->Control Panel->Programs and Features Right Click on Bonjour and select uninstall. While here I decided to uninstall all of the other Apple programs (Don't forget Quicktime.)
    Install Bonjour64
    3. Install AppleApplicationSupport
    4. Install AppleMobileDeviceSupport64
    5. Install iTunes64
Opps there is the second error. Quicktime didn't install properly. Downloaded quicktime and installed it (don't do this). Ran qt and checked for upgrade. I have the latest available. Ran iTunes64 opps Quicktime didn't install properly.
***! Why is it even trying to reinstall qt if I have the latest?
    6. Uninstall qt. Download iTunes 9.2+QT for x64
    7. Install the download with no problems.
I then Disabled Bonjour since it causes problems on my system.
What I discovered. Bonjour is stealthed in. It should be an OPTION like safari. The Bonjour was not able to stop and uninstall the existing disabled Bonjour. Evidently the Quicktime player was also no able to be uninstalled by the upgrade. When manually uninstalled the upgrade could still not install qt.
The upgrade is not properly checking for installed versions. It forces an unneeded reinstall of qt.
The upgrade program is seriously broken and needs to be fixed.

  • Update to windows 8.1 fails every time with error 0x80004005

Like many others trying to install the update (windows 8.1  via Windows Store app),  I keep getting the same error code (0x80004005) in the last stages of the update.
I have successfully installed the update on 3 systems without a hitch - 2 desktop pcs and one laptop.  However, when I try the same process on my HP Presario G6 I get the same error code every time: I have even reformatted the hard drive and reinstalled
Windows 8 Pro from scratch, but I get the exact same result.  And, yes, I have installed every update available from Windows Update before attempting the update to 8.1.
I have a Standard installation, except I have my user files on a separate partition ( documents, pictures etc) Also I have a third partition for keeping backup copies of installed software. The System Reserve partition (200mb) has no drive letter
assigned and is the active partition.
Surely someone at Microsoft understands why this problem is affecting so many users. Please tell us the solution.
    System spec: HP Presario G6 1253sa, Intel I3 M370, 8gb DDR3 ram, Windows 8.0 Pro with MC.

    Hi,
From the error code 0x80004005, it is relate with Windows updates. What does your mean by last stages of the update? Is it during the updates download? Or during the update installation, configuration?
Actually, if you encountered this problem when you download this update, you can check Windows update log to find some trail.
If this error occurred during Windows install, please check setupact log in C:\Windows\Panther. You may find the reason for this problem.
In addition, as you said, you have change your user location, may be this is a reason, you can try to not make any change after Windows 8 fresh install, then upgrade to Windows 8.1 for test.

  • Error updating BIOS from Windows Vista: error -15. Satellite a215-s7437

I've tried to update the BIOS of this laptop which currently runs version 1.2, when the latest version is 2.0. When I run the BIOS update from Windows Vista, it fails with error code -15, with a message similar to "current BIOS checksum fail". The laptop was bought in Spain. Any ideas? The knowledge base was completely useless for this issue. Pedro.

Does the computer still work at this point?

  • Intel Matrix Storage Manager disables Windows Update and Windows Validation on Windows 7 64-bit

I have a Lenovo ThinkPad R61 8918CTO on which I did a clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 (64-bit) on a new Seagate Momentus XT 750GB drive. The installation was trouble-free, as were all of the post-install Windows Updates.
Then I installed ThinkVantage System Update 4.03 and used it to install most of the available Lenovo updates. Big mistake. I'll spare you a detailed account of the hours I wasted troubleshooting, rolling back to previous restore points, and doing more troubleshooting, but it turns out that installing Intel Matrix Storage Manager driver v. 8.9.2.1002 caused Windows Update and Windows Validation to fail.
Symptoms: Windows Update control panel can't check for updates and reports that the Windows Update service isn't running when it actually is. Online Windows Validation fails and the standalone Windows Validation utility won't install. Microsoft programs that require a validated copy of Windows (e.g., Microsoft Security Essentials) won't install.
Solution: Roll back the driver for the relevant SATA controller to the previous driver.
I've reinstalled ThinkVantage System Update 4.03 and hidden the proposed Intel Matrix Storage Manager update; since then, I've used it to complete my Lenovo updates without issue.
I hope this post will help other people with this problem find the solution a lot faster than it took me!

This happened after installing a new advanced format drive with 4k-byte sectors, I'd guess.  If the storage driver doesn't report the physical sector size to Windows, update fails.
I just ran across this myself (again) putting Win 7 on a T400.
I don't know why this is still going on.  It may be that the update lists for older machines still have pre-AF-drive drivers listed.
FYI, another fix is going to the Intel site and installing the latest Matrix Storage Manager AHCI driver.  This may be more desirable than rolling back to an older driver in some cases.

  • What is the issue with Java 7 Update 6 windows installer?

    Hi guys,
I know that this is not the forum to ask Java Installation issue, but I couldn't find a forum that specifically deals with such issues. Also, as the issue in hand concerns JavaFx, I thought it appropriate to post the question here. Let me begin...
I ran the installer for JDK 7 Update 6 on my Windows 7 64-bit machine, and it installed Java successfully, but no JavaFX SDK. So I uninstalled it, and ran the installer again, and it produced the same output i.e. Java installation O.K. but no JavaFX. It also didn't show any error message.
Puzzled, I looked at the system requirements for JavaFX 2.2, and it says SP1 for Windows 7. Sure my Windows 7 is not updated to SP1 yet, but JavaFX 2.1.1 was successfully installed on it, and it had same requirement ie. SP1. Since my numerous attempts to update to Windows 7 SP1 failed, I downloaded and installed separate installer for JavaFX 2.2, which the Oracle site says is for Java 6 only. Now, I am able to compile and run JavaFX 2.2 applications on my system without any problem. It has left me puzzled because if JavaFX 2.2 is compatible with my system, then why the JDK installer for 1.0.7_06 is not able to install JavaFX?
Are other users facing the same issue?
    -Dinesh

Check JDK folder. You should see jre/lib/jfxrt.jar there.Yes it is there. And in Netbeans IDE, I specified the JDK home folder where it asks for JavaFX SDK folder location, and it accepted it; the IDE found all the required JavaFX SDK files in that folder as it is able to compile the program without any problem.
Thanks for pointing me to the right direction. All the while I was looking for the folder named "JavaFX 2.2 SDK", and not founding one, assumed it to be some problem with the installer.
    Thanks again.
    -Dinesh

  • I-Tunes 7.4.2 with Apple Software Update for Windows

When I upgraded to I-Tunes 7.4.2, I was also offered an Apple Softward Update for Windows. This failed to install. The error message said something about part of it not being able to run or something. Is this a Vista thing? I still have Windows XP and don't plan to change. Will I have problems with newer versions of I-Tunes? How can I get this Apple Software Update for Windows to work - or do I have to?
    Thanks!

Thanks for the replies, but what I am hoping for is a solution.
Even though I asked, you never said if you have an ASU 2.0.0.21 ... so this solution runs the risk of being irrelevant to your situation. (It applies to the issue of ASU 2.0.0.21 on an XP PC returning an "invalid signature" message when trying to download an ASU 2.1.0.101.)
If that's what you've got here, then usually a software installer bundle from Apple which contains a higher version of ASU than the 2.0.0.21 will install on the PC in question.
(Avoid using the BonJour for Windows 1.0.4 standalone installer just at the moment, as a precaution. Last time I checked, about 20 minutes ago, that still contained an ASU 2.0.0.21, and that won't get you any further forward than you currently are ... assuming that you've currently got an ASU 2.0.0.21 in place.)
So download and install another Apple installer bundle. Here's a link through to the QuickTime Standalone installer, although the Safari for Windows or iTunes installer would also work:
Latest Quicktime Installers … get the one that doesn’t mention iTunes
That should, as part of the install, update your ASU to version 2.1.0.101. To check on that, launch ASU ("Start > All Programs > Apple Software Update"), go "Help > About Apple Software Update" and check the version number. If you're now at ASU 2.1.0.101, you're past the problem with ASU 2.0.0.21 returning an 'Invalid signature" message when trying to install an ASU 2.1.0.101 (assuming that's the particular problem you were actually experiencing).
You can then uninstall QuickTime for Windows (or Safari for Windows, or iTunes and QuickTime and Apple Mobile Device Support, depending on what installer you used to update your ASU version) through your Add/Remove programs control panel.

  • Satellite C875 : Windows reverting changes after update to Windows 8.1

For days now with no success, I have been trying to update from Windows 8 (64 bits) to Windows 8.1 a Satellite C875-153 (PSCBCE-03H002FR)
I am opening a new thread as none of the available threads on this forum have helped me nor my researched on the web.
*1st error* - which I was able to "sort of" figure out is:
    -> *Windows 8.1 update fails with error message 0xC1900101 - 0x30018*
I have followed every steps, in the proper order, of this Toshiba guide, but it didn't help fixing the error:
    http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/generic/windows8_1-upgrade-stepbystep/
I then followed recommendation from this thread and was "temporaly" able to update OS to Win 8.1:
    http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=296594
The step that worked for me was to remove network cable while installing windows 8.1 as suggested by user "RandyRoberts".
    *2nd error:*
*-> Windows 8.1 hangs and system tried to revert changes back to Windows 8*
By unplugging the network cable, I was able to complete the update of Windows 8.1 and run it temporaly.
As soon as I replug the network cable and reconnect to the web, the computer hangs and restarts.
I suppose Windows 8.1 is trying to check the licence status and then refuse to activate it.
Windows ends up trying to revert changes and go back to Windows 8.
It hangs at restart and refuses to reload previous OS (Windows 8), leaving me on a screen with couple options. At this point I can only recover the factory image to be able to restart the system.
These steps have been performed on a freshly reinstalled OS with no additionnal softwares.
All updates and steps have been followed and recheck several times. I am runnning last BIOS available.
I have already saved all my data and burned the recovery disks .
Thanks in advance for any help and suggestions.

    Hi GROM
I guess you found and read also this thread:
    http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=74631
the user harrie_1 were able to update to the Win 8.1 and the update procedure went smoothly.
I dont know exactly why this workaround did not function in your case but I would recommend you to start the procedure once again and follow the update as described by harrie_1 user

  • Windows Update on Windows 7 (x64) on boot camp fails

Running Windows 7 x64 on Boot Camp and trying to install an "important" update from windows update, but it fails:
    Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2506014) - Published: 4/12/2011.
I received error code 80073712 and ran System Update Readiness Tool to no avail. Microsoft recommends repairing Windows from the install disc if using that tool fails, but I'm not willing to go that far just yet.
KB 2506014 title is "Update for the Windows Operating System Loader", so I am wondering if there is something about how Boot Camp is configured that is preventing this from installing.
Has anyone else running Windows 7 x64 on Boot Camp received the same error for this particular update, or been successful in installing it? It is thus far the only windows update that has failed to install for me.

  • Satellite Pro A120 - can I update to Windows 7?

I have a Satellite Pro A120 (model PSAC1A-045005 - purchased in Australia) which I wish to update to Windows 7 from XP
The Toshiba Australia site says it is not compatible with Windows 7 and the upgrade from Windows XP to Windows 7 is unsupported.
Looking on the web I've found a couple of sites that say they have drivers for the computer. One address is as follows:
    http://driver-toshiba.blogspot.com/2009/12/toshiba-satellite-pro-a120-psac1-for.html
Presumably these drivers would be unofficial. Would they be reliable or would it cause problems?
I use a wireless router so would be particularly concerned if it caused problems with this

    Hi
I installed Win 7 on my old notebook and was able to find some necessary drivers.
The notebook (from another manufacturer) is not officially Win 7 supported but it runs pretty well
I spent some time for driver searching but after that was able to get most of the necessary drivers.
I think you should test it on your A120 thats the one and real solution for you

From the log files, it appears that the installer failed because there's an existing Eye-Fi Center application at c:\Program Files\Eye-Fi. However, the following log entry seems to suggest that there isnt:
[2011-03-29:11:33:00] No app located for appID 'fi.eye.center' and pubID 'E430518E652B889A80EC0E8A6E532C09FF36DF62.1'
So, there's obviously some discrepency between what the installer believes to be installed and what actually is installed.
Anyone run into this issue before? What is the solution?
    Sean

It's encouraging to see more and more openness like this from Adobe. If you had any hand in making this bug tracker visible to Adobe AIR developers, I say thank you very much!
So, getting back to the bug at hand, I tried a few things:
    1. Tried to install with a completely fresh directory structure. Everything went fine.
    2. Tried to install the AIR application when the directory structure looks like this:
         Program Files\
                                  Eye-Fi\

As you can see, the command we're passing to the installer is results in the application trying to be installed in a c:\Program Files\Eye-Fi\Eye-Fi Center directory. My application descriptor file looks like:
    <application xmlns="http://ns.adobe.com/air/application/2.5">
        <id>fi.eye.center</id>
        <filename>Eye-Fi Center</filename>
        <name>
            <text xml:lang="en_US">Eye-Fi Center</text>
            <text xml:lang="en_GB">Eye-Fi Centre</text>
            <text xml:lang="fr_CA">Eye-Fi Center</text>
            <text xml:lang="fr_FR">Eye-Fi Center</text>
            <text xml:lang="ja_JP">Eye-Fi Center</text>
            <text xml:lang="de_DE">Eye-Fi Center</text>
        </name>
        <versionNumber>1</versionNumber>
        <description>
            <text xml:lang="en_US">Eye-Fi Center</text>
            <text xml:lang="en_GB">Eye-Fi Centre</text>
            <text xml:lang="fr_CA">Eye-Fi Center</text>
            <text xml:lang="fr_FR">Eye-Fi Center</text>
            <text xml:lang="ja_JP">Eye-Fi Center</text>
            <text xml:lang="de_DE">Eye-Fi Center</text>
        </description>
        <supportedProfiles>extendedDesktop desktop</supportedProfiles>
        <copyright>Copyright 2007-2011 Eye-Fi, Inc. All Rights Reserved.</copyright>
        <installFolder>Eye-Fi</installFolder>
        <programMenuFolder>Eye-Fi</programMenuFolder>
So, it kinda looks like the presence of an empty subdirectory called 'Eye-Fi Center' in the c:\Program Files\Eye-Fi could be making the installer think that Eye-Fi Center is already installed.
Any thoughts on how best to resolve this issue?
    Thanks again
    Sean
