Update without take application of WebConsole

Hi,
For example... Device is with version 1.0 of app and will be create the version 2.0.. It there a way to update without take application of on MI Client?
Thanks.
Regards,
Bruno

Hello everyone,
I agree with what divya has said. This is surely one way of doing this.
But there is a slight problem to it. Some times after you have given the path to the updated .war file, these changes get reflected instantly if you have assigned the appln to the same device as before.
But the problem comes when you try to assign this updated appln to some other device. Many a times this other/new device gets the older version of the appln.
This is a problem I have faced many a times. So i feel that once you are sure of the changes you have made locally, it is better to create another version of the same appln.
Uninstall the older version for the user/device. Sync your device atleast twice.
Now you can delete this MCD of the older version from the webconsole.
Assign the new version to the user/device or any other user/device. Sync and get going.
Cheers,
Saurabh.

  • Podcast not updating in iTunes application

My podcast shows up fine in my RSS feed on my server.  It shows up fine in the iTune Store.
My podcast is NOT showing up in my iTunes Application feed and shows the like there is a broken link somewhere when I try to "Update Podcast".
    My RSS feed:
    feed://www.nathan-russell.com/ovs/ovs.xml
    iTunes preview:
    http://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/the-overnight-variety-show/id420386052
I recently updated my feed with 2 new episodes on August 22nd, 2011.  Normally it doesn't take 4 days to update in my iTunes Application.  I've previously used the email that Apple sent upon approval of my podcast to ping my server and "update" my iTunes Application to show the most recent additions but the link they provided in that email ( https://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZFinance.woa/wa/pingPodcast?id=420386052 ) has stopped working as well.
Please help me determine why my updated RSS feed is not showing up in the subscription to my own podcast within the iTunes Application itself.
    Thank you kindly!

You have rendered your feed invalid. 'Episode 16 - promo' contains two unescaped ampersands, one in the 'itunes:summary' tag and once in the 'description' tag"
'A.J. Finney, Dallas Orbiter & Jesse Joyce.'
An ampersand by itself indicates the start of a code sequence which is never terminated, thus rendering the entire feed unreadable.
Oddly enough, this text appears successfully in the iTunes Store page: did you change it to the uncoded ampersand at a later stage? Usually this mistake stops the Store page updating as soon as it's in the feed.
You need to replace both ampersands with the code & or the word 'and'. Once you do this the feed will work.
The 'ping' facility has been withdrawn from the iTunes Store for some time now (I'm not convinced that it ever worked anyway) - you just have to wait for the Store to update in its own time (usually 1-2 days).

  • Question about update to iphone application database

Is it possible to preserve and update an iphone application's database when i release an update for the application with a more updated database?

My biggest problem to date has happened today after trying to update the Restaurant Nutrition Application. It completely crashed my iphone, and after trying to do a soft reset, NOTHING. I was able to connect to iTunes by pressing the home botton while connecting to iTunes to do a complete system restore. Everything went fine, till I tried to download some of the applications that had not been synced with iTunes with the exception of Restaurant Nutrition App. since this was the App. that crashed it in the first place. But strangely enough, when I just tried to download a simple game that I loved, (Cannon challenge), Restaurant Nutrition popped up on the screen by itself as if it was trying to download without me even requesting to do so.
This application now has a way of attaching itself even after a system restore when you DON'T WANT IT ANYMORE!! Someone really needs to look into this. It has wasted an entire day of total frustration with my iphone, for NOW, having to do the same thing a second time. ***!? I hope come Sept. 7th, that Apple can restore customer confidence, because each time my iphone 3g crashes, which has happened several times in the past, but never to this degree, I really am beginning to hate this new iphone 3G. I can't rely on it being stable enough when I might actually have to use it......for an emergency phone call, etc.
    PLEASE update soooner!

  • Updating without USB cable?

I have Nokia 2700 Classic with outdated firmware pre-installed... Maybe it's possible somehow update firmware, using Bluetooth (or memory card), because I do not have USB cable for this phone model...

No it isn't possible to update without a cable, only option now for you is to take it a Nokia care center and let them update it.

  • Ipad 2 with version 8.1.3;  update to take out bugs etc and now every time I click on an app it asked for my itunes id before I can get it to open;  any help would be appreciated

I did the update to take out bugs etc;  now when I try to open an app, it asks for my Itunes ID before it will open;  this is a pain;  has anyone else had this problem or knows how to correct this,  assistance gratefully appreciated, thanks

Please tell me that it has NEVER been jailbroke.  If it has never been jailbroke, here are some standard repair procedures:
First, try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  It could take well over an hour!  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow the on-screen directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod.  As before, say "yes."  Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time.  If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device.  Corrective action is simple -  choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore (or it doesn't help), go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.  You WILL lose all of your data (game scores, etc,) but, for the most part, you can redownload apps and music without being charged again.  Also, read this.

  • Apple Camera RAW updates without iPhoto or Aperture

I couldn't find a place where this really fits so I am placing it here.
I recently got a Nikon D90 and I take pictures in RAW format. I do all my editing in Adobe products so I have not bought Aperture or upgraded iLife. To be able to view the D90's files in CoverFlow and QuickLook requires the camera raw 2.3 update. However, you cannot install the update without Aperture 2 or the last year's iPhoto. This wouldn't be much of an issue since I don't generally sort my images in the finder, but every time I opened a folder with any raw files in it I would get frequent quick look errors popping up and the Finder would crash.
I fixed it by downloading the Aperture 2 trial so it would allow me to install the update...but it's ridiculous that I should have to have jumped through hoops to get the update installed.
Apple: Remove the iPhoto/Aperture requirement on RAW updates!

Well, my updates install without a problem.
"Camera RAW update" comes from Adobe and has absolutely nothing to do with iPhoto or Aperture.
    http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/cameraraw.html
    http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4364
Apples, "Camera RAW Compatibility update" should install without a problem.
    http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/apple/application_updates/digitalcameraraw compatibilityupdate25.html
The only time when I had a message "... not required..." was when I attempted to install the update while it was already installed.
Two things to consider would be; one, that the Apple's update doesn't work 100%.
It claims to provide RAW compatibility for Canon 50D, and yet the sRAW 1 and 2 don't show up in quickview or as icon preview (the full size RAWs do) - so maybe there's a similar issue with your camera.
Second, (if indeed iPhoto is needed to be installed - which I doubt, as I don't have it), extract iPhoto from your Leopard disc, install it, install the Compatibility update and then trash iPhoto.

  • Bootting the iPod after a software update without using the AC Adapter...

    Hello to all...
I really have a problem here... I have an iPod Photo (or iPod with Colour Display, as it's been renamed) 20GB and I just updated its software from 1.2 to 1.2.1... Well... It needs to be connected to the AC Power Adapter in order to boot for the first time after the update... The problem is that I don't have the AC Adapter here, because I forgot it at home... I only have the USB 2.0 cable, the iPod Photo 20GB and my computer...
Does anybody know how can I make it boot for the first time without connecting it to the AC Power Adapter???
    ThanX in advance....
    Pentium 4   Windows XP Pro

I'm actually having the same problem - Updated the iPod, no AC adapter handy, and now it won't boot. I won't be near the AC adapter for over a week; I always just charge it with the laptop, which for some reason isn't enough now. I tried a car adapter, again with no luck. Does restarting after an update take THAT much more juice? At the very least, Apple could warn you up front - nowhere in the readme does it list the adapter as necessary. My PSP wouldn't even start an update without being plugged in - annoying at the time, but prefferable to a dead iPod for my trip.

  • Downloading updates without iTunes?

Is there a way to download iPod Updates without iTunes? Here's my problem. I have an iPod that is locked up at work and need to restore it. When I try to restore it, iTunes tells me there is new software available for my iPod. The problem is that I'm using my cell phone to get online and it would take 6 hours to download the update and I don't have broadband access at work. I would like to download the update at home, take it in to work, and then be able to restore it successfully.
    Thanks in advance.

The iPod Updater has been integrated with iTunes since the release of version 7. There's no longer a standalone updater you can download to deliver the latest updates so you need to be able to use iTunes if you want to update the iPod

  • Can i go back with time machine but without the applications(to keep it the same)?

can i go back with time machine but without the applications(to keep it the same)?
i want to make my mac "younger" but i've got applications that i want to keep and i have them not so long ago...

    Clone your system them.
Keep your OS and apps on separate hard drives.
Install the OS if you must for now on another hard drive.
    Use Setup Assistant when done.

  • How to have now() update without input

I'm trying to have a numbers document that will be used as an hourly task tracker.  I am using conditional formatting and a reference cell containing =HOUR(NOW()) to color the boxes for each hour red during that hour.  I have an additional table laid on top of the conditionally formatted one with checkboxes that are formatted to change colors when checked so that you can see that the task was completed.   I'd like to see if there is a clever way of using AppleScript and/or Automator to essentially refresh the sheet so that NOW() is updated without having to have someone actually edit the data in the sheet.  That way, at a glance, you will know if the task had been completed for that hour.  It seems that using Numbers' AppleScript functions does not trigger the NOW() function to recalculate.
I was using the following to alter the document in the hopes that NOW() would be recalculated.  It seems to only work on occasion and no meaningful pattern can be discerned.
    tell application "Numbers"
              tell document 1
                        tell sheet 1
      make new table with properties {name:"test", column count:1, row count:1}
                                  tell table "test"
set value of cell 1 of row 1 to 1
                                  end tell
                        end tell
              end tell
    end tell
    tell application "Numbers"
              tell document 1
                        tell sheet 1
                                  delete table "test"
                        end tell
              end tell
    end tell
Any and all help is appreciated.
    `cc

I would treat the problem an other way because as you saw, changing something thru a script didn't force NOW() to evolve.
    Use an idle script.
    --{code}
    --[SCRIPT]
paste this script in the Script Editor
    menu > File > Save As…
    uncheck screen at startup
check "Stay Open" (* "Rester en arrière-plan" in French *)
save this script as an Application

    property minutesBetweenSaves : 10 (*
exécutera toutes les 10 minutes *)
    on idle
Edit these four variables to match yourneeds *)
              set dName to "doc name"
              set sName to "sheet name"
              set tName to "table name"
set tCell to "A1" -- the cell which was containing the formula =HOUR(NOW())
              try
tell application "Numbers" to tell document dName to tell sheet sName to tell table tName
set value of cell tCell to hours of (current date)
                        end tell
              end try
              return minutesBetweenSaves * minutes
    end idle
    --[/SCRIPT]
    --{code}
Of course, edit the four variables defining the doc name …
The script will insert the hour in the defined cell every ten minutes.
You may also change the time interval.

  • IPod Updater without iTunes

Sooooooo, you can't update your iPod without iTunes now?
Sounds like Microsoft OS/Internet Explorer type thing.
I DO NOT WANT ITUNES. It kills computers, it is not even close to being the best music organizing and playing software, and it is a pig on the PC.
But I do want to get the most up to date updater.
Shockingly, I use a 3rd party software to sync my iPod, one that is WAY better than iTunes and is no drain to the system, one that leaves my song information THEY WAY I WANT IT (Jimmy buffett is not country, Porcupine Tree is not rock, etc...). Anapod Explorer kills iTunes in every category and I have absolutely no need to download music from the iTunes store.
So why do I have to install it to update my iPod?
Apple, quit GOING BIG BROTHER ON US and let us download an updater without iTunes.
oh, and I had to reboot my mac all the time, unlike your commercials say.
Gateway m685   Windows XP Pro   Also running Vista, and IT ROCKS

    1. Because it kills PC's. There are too many problems with it. It is a drain on the system. etc...
    2. As the IT person at a company that does not want users accessing the web for music, we do not allow the install of iTunes on machines. We allow people to plug their iPod into their machines to charge, or run the updater if they die while at work, but do not allow music to be downloaded or purchased online. Therefore we do not want to install iTunes just to get the updater.
    3. For home use, it is not even close to being the best music organization software. Once iTunes touches a file I have labeled and named in another software, it wants to change it and rename it and so on. It also puts a lock on music that you download, which shockingly, I do not like because I have 4 iPods, 6 computers, and to other systems that access my music, so I would like to be able to use that music on all MY machines. Every time iTunes updates, it likes to take over and I do not like that. No thanks, I don't want it on my machine.
I found a link to get the last updater on another site and in Apple support as well:
    http://www.ipodwizard.net/showthread.php?t=7369
    http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/apple/ipodupdater20060628.html
it is still one of the most downloaded items, so I must not be the only one. Since Apple forgets they put out a previous version of their products, I don't see any updater improvements to my 1g, 2g, 4g and 5g iPods, so I think I am pretty set by just using the old updater.
    Thanks for your help.
