Updated an image in one article and cause users full downloading the folio

Dear All,
I have a misplaced image on the publish folio and we decided moving it from production. Our designer removed the image and updated the article via folio producer in CS5.5. Then we updated this folio to distribution service. We found all users had download this folio needs to re-download the entire folio (about 1GB) but not just the updated part (around 100K). Does anyone have any idea about this? or DPS is designed doing fully download for any update folio? Thanks.

Was this removed image in the HTMLResources zip file? Unfortunately that's an all or nothing kind of thing when it comes to changes. Hopefully this will improve in the future to allow for reusing photos, videos, etc. in multiple articles while only requiring the viewer app to download it once. Having to replace all HTMLResources files every time you make a change to one of them definitely limits this feature's usefulness.
If not then that is definitely abnormal behavior, the users should only have to re-download the changed article.

After a few downloads, using "Save image as..." causes Firefox to download the image again even though its already on the screen.

You would think that having downloaded an image and displayed it on the screen, Firefox would be able to save the image to disk (using right-click, "Save image as...") without need of downloading it all over again. But that's exactly what it does after just a few image saves.
This can be both expensive and time consuming when I happen to be working via a mobile or dial-up connection, which is often.
Any ideas?

As an addendum, the 10.6.8 OS has also been sluggish when I log in or out of my computer (my old PowerBook G4 boots faster after being off). Otherwise, everything else seems normal.

There is no solution other than getting all of your content into a single iTunes library. By design, iPhone syncs or manually manages with one computer/iTunes account at a time.

Welcome to the HP forums.
If you have sent a test print via ePrint, and experience this issue, i would call the Cloud Services department.
If ePrint works fine, it is definitely a Google Cloud Print issue.
Also, when you print from your android device, are you using Google Cloud print or the HP ePrint app?

I could not able to insert multiple images in one slide and set display time for each image.
Need help in this regard.

This is not about background image.
I have 3 images and want to insert in one slide only. I could able to insert image1 for first time, but could not able to insert image2 and image3.
I have followed the same steps: Insert Menu>Image.

Claudius,either you didn't read my post, or you jumped to conclusions. I had a skype account that was created using a microsoft account (NOT THE ACCOUNT I AM USING NOW). PURE MICROSOFT ACCOUNT NO OTHER ACCOUNT LINKING.I had to change the primary mail of that account.I was told "no can do" by skype support.I found that if I went to account settings and clicked on the link on the line below the one that said "MICROSOFT etc" (labeled something along the lines of "TV or Device") I got the opportunity to set the password of the "live:username" account (WHICH YOU COINCIDENTALLY HAVE TO DO IF YOU WANT TO USE SMART TVs ETC).Once that was done, I COULD SUCCESSFULLY DO WHAT SKYPE SUPPORT SAID WAS IMPOSSIBLE- I could change the primary mail address. once that was done, and NOT BEFORE, I linked the account to a facebook account as well, just to be sure I have more than one way to access the skype account. What caused you to get the impression that I was writing something else? furthermore this sentence - "The solution you described in your initial message isn't actually once since all the time you were operating on different account that weren't actually linked" does not make sense, I think you mis-edited it.and I need to point out that you are incorrect. It appears the download has been successful when I look in my " Downloads " Folder but I still get a message up saying the installed version of Camera RAW won't support the Camera model ( i.e. D800 ) . What am I missing ??

You need to download and install Camera Raw 6.7.1 for CS5. Once you have downloaded it, you need to install it while CS5 is closed.

Once downloaded, unzip/unpack the file, and run the executable to start the update, following the instructions.

How can I get my safari 5.1.10 to download the java update so I won't continue to get notices that my browser is out of date and I need to download the update, which then won't download. Cannot view anything in youtube or most other places.

Hi MiMattheMac, you probably won't have any problems but just be aware upgrading from Snow Leopard to anything later is a big leap. Old, PowerPC - only programs won't work, for example, and even more recently developed programs won't work if their developers have not been updating them for recent OS X versions.
If you haven't made a backup of your Mac yet, and you consider the information on it important, please consider doing that. It is the only practicable way to "undo" an OS X upgrade should you want to. Merely having a backup seems to preclude the need to ever use it.
If the information on your Mac is not important to you, upgrading to Mavericks is even easier since you can completely erase the Mac first.
In any event let the download complete.
If this raises any concerns about installing it, and you need to ask questions to alleviate those concerns, you can just close this window when it eventually appears:
The 5 GB downloaded file will not be deleted and will remain available until you actually install Mavericks. You can do that at any time convenient for you.

I spent over an hour on hold with Apple last night only to find out they are being bombarded with calls about this. Just bought the iPhone 6 a few days ago, lost my ringtones, rebought them because I didn't want the hassle of being on hold like I was. They disappeared after 24 hours! Re purchased them thinking it was a glitch, nope, gone again! Apple tech said they are having problems with the 8.1.1 update and you can call to get reimbursed. They are working on a new update and hope that will fix the problem but they can't guarantee it! What??? They don't know when the update will be available and if it will fix the problem. But they said the ringtones should hopefully reappear on the phones......Get it together Apple!!

I've been working on this all day!!! I've tried everything I know of and can't get it to load either. Sounds like lots of people are having problems. Here is what I have so far...I have uninstalled EVERYTHING on my pc from apple and reinstalled itunes to no avail. I have tried all sorts of things I've read as fixes online. NOTHING has worked. Here is something interesting that i have noticed though. my main pc (which is the one i have always managed my itunes account with for years) is a 32 bit system running windows 7. Yesterday I installed itunes for the first time on my new netbook which is a 64 bit (windows 7) system and it works just fine. i have three other laptops (all window 7) in my household that are all 64 bit operating systems and ALL have updated to 10.5 and THEY ALL work fine. this is FOUR 64 bit systems ALL updated w/10.5 that work and ONE that is a 32 bit that will not. Can't get any help from apple. their suppot *****! I want to get someone on the **** phone or a live chat but cant. *** APPLE????? please let mw know if you find SOMETHING i can try next. I'm out of ideas and patience!

Some gestures have been removed in Firefox 4.
You can restore the zoom feature by changing the values of the related prefs on the about:config page.
browser.gesture.pinch.in -> cmd_fullZoomReduce
browser.gesture.pinch.in.shift -> cmd_fullZoomReset
browser.gesture.pinch.out -> cmd_fullZoomEnlarge
browser.gesture.pinch.out.shift -> cmd_fullZoomReset
browser.gesture.pinch.latched -> false
To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website. 
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page. 
You can use the Filter bar at to top of the about:config page to locate a pref more easily.

If it's in recovery mode, the data is already gone. Why did you never back up your important data?
