Apps are locked or did not completed updates on my Ipad and Iphone how can I fix the issue?

On Both Devices...
Close All Open Apps... Sign Out of the Account... Perform a Reset... Try again...
Reset ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.

Reset time, press and hold both the power and home buttons for 10-15 seconds till the Apple logo appears. Release both buttons. Wait 15-20 seconds till your iPad starts on it's own. Check the downloads.

What a relief !
Thanks to "stevejobsfan 0123 in sunny California. His suggestion to another member was , I quote "Try a reset:
Hold the home and power buttons at the same time until the Apple boot logo appears.
Worked a treat
Safe no losses.
Once the ipad2 restarted there was a message saying the apps (which were frozen mid install), could not be purchased at this time , please try again .

Some of my apps are frozen on my iPhone I do I fix it?

Try downloading any free app from the store (as that appears to reset something), and then re-try your apps - the free app can then be deleted.
If that doesn't work then try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot

several apps are frozen on waiting...I cannot delete them because there is no X to delete

If there are multiple apps trying to download at once, only one can download at a time and the rest say "Waiting" until it is then their turn. Try this. Double tap the icon of the Waiting app, and it should resume the download.

Another thing to try - Turn the iPad Off & then back ON.
If that doesn't work:
• Log out of your iTunes store account. Go to Settings > Store > Sign Out Then press the Home button.
• Then press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously and don't release them when it brings up the Turn Off screen; keep holding them until the Apple logo appears.
• After restart, the Waiting should be gone.

I had to restore the setting and now my apps are frozen with a waiting signal

Most of my Apps are frozen on my iPhone 4S. I cant open them since I had to do a restore because I lost all of my contacts in my address book. When I restore setting were completed most my apps were shown waiting but frozen.

IPhone 4 crashed during app update, apps are blank

I had 24 app updates in the app store, tried to update through the phone. It crashed during the update, and now all the to-be-updated apps are showing up with a white generic logo and 'waiting...' message, updates do not go through. The app store still shows 24 updates, but when I go into that page it just spins. I have rebooted twice. I will not be close to my phone backup until tomorrow. Any ideas are greatly appreciated! Try to force your phone into recovery mode. Disconnect it from the computer's USB cord. Turn it off if you can by holding the sleep/wake switch until you see the red slide to off. If you can't turn it off, please continue. Press and hold the home button while plugging it into the computer's USB cord. Continue holding the Home button while iPhone starts up. While starting up, you will see the Apple logo. When you see "Connect to iTunes" on the screen, you can release the Home button and iTunes will display the recovery mode message. Apps are frozen on waiting

I am updating apps and there are about 10 Of them frozen on "waiting"... I can't even delete them ... How do I fix the problem?

And feel free to try any of these suggestions as well.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again.
You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered.
If all else fails, download the updates or the apps in iTunes on your computer and then sync the content to your iPad.

TS3274 I have the original iPad- 18 mos old. I tried to download an app that required flash player. Went to the apple store and was told to update my software to iOS 5.1.1. I did and now everything I had previously installed as apps are frozen. :( HELP!

I have the original iPad- about 18 mod old. I tried to download an etool program and it required iflashplayer. My iPad wouldn't do it. I went to the apple store and they told me to update my software to iOS 5.1.1 which I did . Now none of the apps I had installed prior to this work. The icons are still on my screen but when you touch them, it just blinks and nothing happens..like the screen is frozen. How do I restore all of these apps and favorites that I had on prior to this update? Please speak in very non- tech terms if possible. I am VERY low tech unfortunately!

Welcome to Apple Communities
You must use iTunes. Connect your device to your computer, open iTunes, select your device in the sidebar and press Restore. Then, you can restore your device from a backup, and sync the device with iTunes to transfer your files to it pressing Sync button

TS1702 Apps are 'frozen' on App Store Update Page - After Updating

I've gone from non-stop App Store updates to zero App Store updates on my iPhone 5.
However, the App Store Update Page just will not clear now. All are downloaded and that usually clears this page until the next updates are ready for download.
Anyway, no luck ridding myself of these already downloaded Apps from the App Store Update Page. I
I've opened each App from this page, tried force closing the App Store and rebooting etc.
I tried deleting all the "frozen" Apps. They disappeared from the App Store update page. But once I went and downloaded the Apps again (this time using iTunes (to circumvent the device App Store) they appeared right back on the same page.

There is, currently, no way to remove them. Whether by design or not, is not known. I thought they rolled off after a week, but I can confirm they don't.

(iPod 4th gen.) I tried to download two apps and they froze, then I tried updating two other apps but they also froze. I tried double-tapping, restarting, connecting to iTunes, etc. I don't know what else to do, help

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Updating app and frozen my app store

Went to update the Open Valve app and it just shows waiting on the app icon and I now can't use my app store? It will not let me delete the app as it say waiting, so what can I do?

Mine isn't working either....Shows I have 5 apps that need to be updated and when I try they either say "Waiting" underneath them and they're blacked out or else it acts like it's thinking and then quits. I can't even download an app from the app store. Have rebooted and tried to delete apps but not working. Please help!!
