Updated apps now do not work at all. They crash instantly, don't even open. Any ideas?
I updated a load of apps a couple of days ago and all of the apps that were updated no longer work. They just blink on and then crash instantly.
Has anybody else had this problem?
Any ideas for a fix?
This is on an iPhone 4s running the latest software iOS 5.0.1

I have the same problem and so far nothing works other than deleting the app and re-installing it which is a MAJOR pain and loses all the apps data. This even happens with Apple Apps including Find iPhone, Find Friends, Airport Utility, iTunesU, and Cards. It also happens with MANY MANY MANY other apps. The genius bar appt I had today was of no help. I had an iCloud backup of my previous phone but restoring from that backup and restoring to that didn't work. Figuring I had a bad backup, I generated a new backup from my iPhone 4 and tried to use that backup (also running iOS6) to restore to the new iPhone5 -- but still get the exact same failures. This switch to an iPhone 5 has been nothing but problems and I'm really getting ******. It just should NOT be this hard.

I'm using the beta Aurora, and it was working fine until it automatically update. It's not working anymore. The short cut key in desktop changes and when you click it. it says"Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permission to access the item". I cannot uninstall it to install a new firefox.
Delete the shortcut you have at the moment and then create a new one as follows:<br><br>

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then try the action that you're having trouble with again. Select any messages that appear in the Console window. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message (command-V).
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.

I tried to upload my daughters videos she made on her iPod to my mac iPhoto and it seemed to have "Stuck" and now will not work at all. It had to a complete fix of the existing library. It will now not let me move pictures from the "Stream" to "photos", it looks like it is trying to but gets stuck and I have to force a shut down of the programe.

My A'Extreme sometimes won't connect to my MacBook Pro even if I have a green light on the device . I can unplug the ethernet cable and reconnect and it will work fine. all diagnostics say there is nothing wrong. Any ideas ?
This is more about your modem then anything. Sometimes you'll need to unplug and plug back in your modem. Consider it a glitch from the ISP or just the modem in general.
when I need to turn something off then on I try the modem first. This when I'm not doing any ware and tare to the device. -

That could be an indication your drive is failing. If you do not have a current Backup, that is top priority.

One way to test is to Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, Test for problem in Safe Mode...
PS. Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive
Reboot, test again.
If it only does it in Regular Boot, then it could be some hardware problem like Video card, (Quartz is turned off in Safe Mode), or Airport, or some USB or Firewire device, or 3rd party add-on, Check System Preferences>Accounts>Login Items window to see if it or something relevant is listed.
Check the System Preferences>Other Row, for 3rd party Pref Panes.
Also look in these if they exist, some are invisible...

i have read up on all about crashes and i cant even open it in safe mode :( i have tried deleting it and reinstalling it but the problem still persists. What would you suggest i do and is there any way i canget hold of firefox 6 for mac?

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.
See "Basic Troubleshooting: Make a new profile":

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.
If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.
