Updated apps wont load

I have a 4th generation 32gb i-touch. i have recently updated some apps including games, utilities, and others, however after they were finished installing and updating, I go to click on an app (Zombie Hwy for example) and it doesn't even load up the app, it just goes back to the app screen. this is happeneing with multiple applications that I have updated.
running os5.1.1 on the itouch.
how do I get these applications to load without having to restore the itouch, or deleting the applications and reinstalling them running the risk of loosing progress?

actually i selected an app that isnt a game, but was still having the issue. deleted it and reinstalled that one app only, now all the apps work ... weird huh ...
if i have any more issues ill do the hard reset like you mentioned ... ive had to do that quite often
interesting how you get a software update that is supposed to fix bugs and glitches, yet it ends up creating other bugs and glitches ........

The update servers are still under pretty heavy load, so it's possible it's nothing on your end. Are you trying to do it over the air or through iTunes?

Got my phone back and die a iCloud backup restore but my apps wont load..

Here are several things that you can try. These have all worked for other users in the past however YMMV. One of the first two might be the way to go. BTW - by "resetting" - I assume that you are talking about the two button hold down and wait for the Apple logo reboot.
1. Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
2. If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
3. You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again.

How come some of my slots app wont load and operate?

I have quite a few slot game app on my iPod, and iPad. The games made by Aristocrat with load and work, but some of the other's by various builders wont load. I had this happen once before, but I forgot how to correct this situation.
Any suggestions?

No backups available, apps wont load, no contacts - HELP

I had an iPhone 4s and it recently got fried (today) so I have switched back to my old iPhone 4. I restored the iPhone 4 to factory settings and have logged into my apple id account. I tried to backup from icloud, but no backups were available. So I was prompted to creating a backup for the iPhone 4. Although I have signed into my apple id, none of my contacts, texts, or apps have loaded. What is the problem? HELP.

Camera app wont load says close other apps

also my bluetooth wont enable. previously worked on another earpiece and I tried to load a new one and it won't let me enable. any help out there?

To see what apps you have open, from your home screen hold down the alt key and press and release the back key to the right of your trackball. You can then scroll side to side to see what is open. Then close each one. You cannot however close home, browser, messages, PTT, phone or BB messenger. When you are done using an app just hitting the red hang up key doesn't close the app it keeps it running in the background. All apps have a close or exit option available by clicking the menu key. Use that for best performance. If the camera still won't open after closing everything pull the battery out of the phone while it is on. Leave it out for 30 seconds and replace. Allow the phone 1-3 minutes to reboot. Then try the camera again. Let us know if that works. For the bluetooth, have you successfully paired it to your device yet?

Updated apps wont close

i updated my phone and now i cannot close my apps....they wont wiggle no matter how many times i tap & hold them

Double tap the Home button.
You will see your apps as a thumbnail screen.
Swipe the app screen UP to close it.
It's a new way of closing apps now in iOS 7.

Can someone please help. I am distinctly un tech and when trying to update my ipad so we could use bbc i player the software will not load back on to the ipad. Did save all the pictures. I have updated itunes . It says ipad may need service is this true? do they need regual servicing? We are going on hols in a week and no ipad for the airport fills me with horror please help

Apps wont load after sync iPhone with pc

Please can you help me, everytime i sync my iPhone with my pc none of the apps ive download will work! the only way around this problem is if i download a new app from the apps store just using my iPhone.
this problem only started when the i installed the update 3.0.1
ive been meaning to write to apple when this problem 1st started, but ive only just got round to it as its getting a bit of a pain now!

My Ipad apps wont load, help me please?

Hi, about an hour ago my ipad was working fine then I pluged the usb into my laptop, loaded itunes to put some music onto it, I noticed my laptop turned off as usual,its rubbish..so I then unpluged my ipad and tried to go on my apps,screen goes completely black for a split second,what can I do?

Help! iOS7 updated apps wont go away. Still reads "Open" in app store.

I recently updated to IOS7 on an iPhone 5. Several of my apps have updates and I've installed them however in the App Store app on my phone the apps remain with the tag "open". Once I've opened they are still there and will not disappear. Help! I've tried to back up my phone, update from my macbook & nothing seems to work.

I figured out a way around it:
1. Go into iTunes and download the app(s) you're missing.
2. Connect your iPhone to your computer.
3. Go into iTunes and under your phone, remove the apps you're already missing through iTunes (click the remove button next to the apps that had already disappeared).
4. Sync your phone.
5. Disconnect your phone from your computer.
6. Download the app(s) from the App Store on your phone, while your phone isn't connected to your computer.

Cannot update Apps since loading new IOS

I have an iPad (not the newest gen. but the one before) and since I upgraded to the latest IOS, I am unable to update my apps.
I used to have an apple ID that was linked to my AOL account. Then I started using a different Apple ID and before the update, all my apps updated properly and without problem. Since the update, when I try to update my apps (of which there are many) it asks me to enter the password for my Apple ID that is linked to my AOL account (ie.the old account) - which I can't remember. I have tried resetting my password. I tried resetting it by sending myself an email, but for some reaon the email never gets through to my AOL account. I have tried resetting it by going to answer the security passowrd - but it seems that my birthday is not the one that is logged against that Apple ID (I know it sounds weird, but I promise that it is really mine). So I can't reset the password.
And everything in my iPad is set to the new Apple ID.
How do I get the apps to update??? I have read that perhaps I have to delete all the apps and reupload them? I sincerely hope that is not the only or correct answer. It would take me ages!
